Dear Managers,
I am Hitesh Mehra owner of Mahindra REXTON RX7 car number HR 26 DS 7078 bought on 19th Oct 2018 in Gurgaon (PFA the RC book) but now residing in Mumbai. I am writing you this mail after a lot of deliberation and disheartening service given to me by NBS International Ltd. Goregaon branch. I had bought and invested a big amount on my REXTON with an assurance from Mahindra dealers that this variant is the best and has no issue in it. but within 18 months of my purchase the car started giving me a lot of inconvenience and issues whereas even after me maintaining the car very well as quoted by all your service managers and has only run approximately 14, 000 km in 18 months when the car started giving me issues.
1st Issue - The Driver seat motor which makes the seat automatically adjust to the seating position saved started making bad noises and used to get stuck. After a lot of complaints which can be seen in my service records the motor part was called for and then replaced. But I fail to understand how within 18 months of careful usage and maintenance this issue could happen, that means the quality of parts used are not good.
2nd Issue - Engine light issue of hill declining and Rain skeding check lights showing up after 20 months of purchase (Images shared), for this my car was taken multiple times since August 2020 till as on date (My car is in NBS goregaon since 29th Dec 2020 again) but with no solution found till date even after keeping the car with them for multiple time and once for more than 7 days in a stretch in the 1st week of December 2020. And after all the assurance given to me by the NBS team that the engine light issues have been solved and will not come again, I went on a family trip to Nashik in the last week of Nov 20. And in the Night around 9 pm my car just stopped in the middle of the highway between Igatpuri to Nashik due to these engine lights issues and did not start for atleast 3 to 4 minutes. I know how scared me and my family were that night in the middle of the highway where all the cars besides us were traveling at a speed of not less than 100km, it could have led to a very disastrous and a fatal accident (please see all the msgs and images sent to the service managers).
3rd Issue - Steering volume control button, The volume control button has not been working since last many months and even after they're claim of replacement of the Volume control button last month the same issue continues and they have no answer to it. (Videos attached).
4th Issue and the worst of all - on 26th of Dec 2020 I had traveled to Lonalavle for a day's trip with my family and friends, we reached Lonavala's top hill point and parked the car. we strolled for around 1.5 hours and when we returned and started the car to go home the gear would not change from Parking to drive or anything it just got stuck. and then after 30 mins of multiple calls and discussions with the NBS team I was told to use a PEN to shift the gear manually through a gear shifter under the small gap. God only knows how I drove the car back home from Lonavala, now I have been told that the BREAK Switch has broken and the part is also not available.
May I understand how such an expensive luxury car which has only been used for till date 17, 500 kms and well maintained can get so many issues and that also major ones so early. How can we trust the brand now and will it be safe to make long journeys in this car. I need a complete solution to it and till then I will not be taking back my car from NBS.
Have I made a wrong investment by buying a Mahindra car, it's a big investment on a Luxury car sold to me. And whenever I ask the NBS team about the issues, they simply answer Sir this is new for us and we haven't faced such issues with REXTON earlier.
