I did book hotel booking with MAKEMYTRIPS on 29th Feb 2020 at KTDC Tea County Resort, Munnar for 16th-18th Mar 2020- 3 Deluxe Rooms. Due covid the booking is never utilised but in app shows as completed and unable to do any changes.
Due Covid 19 the hotel was shut down in 2nd week of March, 2020. Accordingly did speak to 'makemytrips' agent and hotel Manager Sunil did postpone until September 2020 but hardly did I knew that the situation would be so bad due to pandemic.
Finally as things slowly started to improve did enquire Hotel Manager regarding hotel booking for future date he informed me to get in touch with 'makemytrips' and do the needful.
Since then I did try to contact with many staff like Sourabh, Priyanka, Deepak, Pooja (Dubai) and on 14th Jan finally with Naveen who promised my case Ticket Id[protected] will only be closed unless an hotel booking team will return a call back on my UAE number as I reside in dubai, and will remain opened until its been resolved.
To my surprise within an hour got an sms/email stating my case is been closed without any reason. All of my previous cases is been closed same way.
Sourabh (1st agent caller) did suggest me to go for full refund as hotel agreed and did initiate but call got disconnected and since then none of my calls were entertained. Did email/support number but all in vain as there is no option of speaking to an agent directly nor an email.

Complaint marked as Resolved I did tried a last attempt on 10th Feb 2020 called their telephone number +911244628747 and finally spoke to an agent Mr. Susankar. Described exactly what happened and he promised that the ticket will not be closed unless the issue is resolved. somehow that was my last option so got convinced.
Email rcvd on 12th says "Please note that as the transaction is old hence a link has been sent to you, WTD Link on the registered email /Mobile No . ( Customer have to Login using registered customer details)" Once you Submit Details on that Link, refund will be sent for Processing in 48 hours. So we request you to check your registered email /Mobile No so that the same can be processed earlier.
Initially thought it was fake as I never received a WTD link as mentioned on email instead asked me to forward my details of bank, including my full name/contact details etc. Later recieved a call from on 13th Feb Calcutta +913366142700. Since I was not sure about the genuinity of the email/call did not respond accordingly they closed the case requesting to call back again for any future support.
Did reply to the final email as to what to do next.
On 18th Feb got an sms from my bank the whole amount is credited back to my account.
I did spend approx 1500.00 INR for making calls as it was international roaming, above all getting connected to an agent is very crucial as there is no option for any telephone number other than registered mobile number to raise a complain so they could pull out our details.
Finally Im happy its over after a few months struggle as I did keep trying.
