Cancellation charge

I was booking bus ticket from kalyan to pune for morning time, but by mistake I booked for evening. Later I cancelled and make my trip deducted 60% amount.
Again I booked ticket for morning time and
after 1 hrs I received call from make my trip that bus has been cancelled and you will get refund.
This is very unfair, when I cancelled ticket they deducted 60% amount and when they cancelled bus no panelty on them.

I am Iqbal Akhter. I made two different room bookings at hotel Milan International through MMT on 29-05-16 foe 31-01-16. One for myself and one for mt friend and guest who was arriving from another city.
Rooms were not as explained on MMT website. Baisc fcilities were missing which were promised on the MMT website. Hotel denied to answer for our demand and asked us to talk to MMT. We went in to the rooms saw the conditions (Broken wall plasters, broken electrical boards, no charging points for mobile and laptops, missing iron board, missing iron machine, missing refrigerator, no complementary water) and we decided not to stay and came back to the counter and left the counter before 01:00 pm.
I demanded from MMT to refund my booking amounts fro the two rooms and remove hotel Milan International from their registration as this hotel is a fraud.

    Dear Team,

    As committed, there is no action taken place yet.

    Also wants to share my exprience with the make my trip was not good.

    In the begining of the tour, when we reached the srilanka airport, there is no person standing out for pick up and no call from that person anytime. We waited there for 30 min at airport also. After facing so many difficulties we managed to contact that person.

    Next most important problem faced was regarding the food, as already informed about as we are the pure vegeterian. Even we did not get any variety in veg category in any of the hotel.

    Location of the hotel is not appropriate. There is no such place and no market to visit nearby.

    The sight seeings points are very less covered. One day exclusively waste for journey from kandy to bentota.

    Due to unfavorable weather we did not cover so many places properly which was mentioned in package. Overall package charged was not up to the mark with the tour expected. For any further clarification related to tour, contact the person of apple holidays. We request you to refund the atleast 30% of the package amount in our Bank account.

    Kindly do the action on urgent basis.

      I, made a hotel booking through make my trip mobile app with booking id nh[protected].

      I have amended my check in date from 14th of june 2016 to 19th of june 2016. The amendment was done by suprio halder, customer care executive of mmt. I also received the amended voucher for the same which i have forwarded along with this email.
      Now i would like to cancel this booking as due to unexpected personal difficulties, i am unable to proceed with my stay on the date of booking.

      In this regard i have been talking to at least three of your customer care executives from 16th of june 2016, including yourself.In spite of putting my call on hold for more than 30 minutes to check the details, i was not provided the support to do the cancellation which was the actual reason why i made the call to mmt.

      1. My amended voucher clearly states that i can do the cancellation with full refund before 48 hrs of check in time.

      2. The cancellation policy holds good for full refund till 48 hrs of the check in time, and as per the email it is before 12pm of 17th june 2016.

      3. No where in the email, it is mentioned that i cannot cancel an amended booking or i was not told by the customer care executive who amended my booking date that such a rule exists. If any such a rule exists, either in my mmt app or in the amended email confirmation voucher i should have been informed.

      4. You were saying its an auto generated email, but every email sent from mmt is auto generated after we book or amend it with clear instructions regarding booking details, payment and cancellation policy. We take the mail received as the confirmation.In my case then i believe i am eligible for free cancellation with full refund for my booking.

      5. I believe as a customer of mmt, this email should be acknowledged understanding the genuine nature of the problem and give me the right to get a full refund for the cancellation and refunded to my wallet.

      6. I have thoroughly read the cancellation policy in the email sent to me, also the cancellation policy in the website and no where there is any information to the customer stating that amended booking cannot be cancelled.In all means, and by abiding all the terms and conditions stated by mmt, i am eligible for full refund with free cancellation.

        Dear sir/madam,

        I am a victim/sufferer of makemytrip.com (Mmt). I tried booking my flight on mmt's web portal on june 13, 2016 late evening.
        Flight sector (Bangalore and delhi), initially due to some technical problems i was not able to proceed with the bookings but within few minutes i was able to book the flights.
        Post completion of booking i saw the summary of flight details on their portal and there was a issue with the dates, as i correctly remember i entered the correct dates i. E. (Bangalore to delhi (Aug 11) and delhi to bangalore (Aug 29); paid rs6910/-)
        But in the summary it was reversed (Bangalore to delhi (29th aug) and delhi to bangalore (11th aug).

        I immediately within 5 mins called up mmt's customer executive and requested them for support in this matter and told about the incident.
        They told me that it has happened because i entered wrong dates while booking and nothing can be done about this from their end, only air vistara (Carrier) can help me out.

        Now my call was transfered to air vistara, when i spoke with them they told me as my ticket hasn't been generated yet their are possible solution to this problem with the help of mmt and amadeus (Mediator for carrier and mmt).

        I again called back to mmt service center for support, this time they simply refused to co-operate, though i tried explaining the problem along with the solution, but they told this is my fault
        And only was is to cancel the tickets or go for a date change.

        I requested the executives to forward my call to their manager but no one was available at that time to support; requested them to arrange a call with their supervisor at the earliest.

        And while i was talking to customer executives my ticket got generated. So, whatever chances i had got worse. Mmt executive told me better would be for me to go for a date change at the earliest as flight charges increase with each passing day.

        Fyi, any cancellation or date change done on mmt leads to heavy charges, roughly 60% of initial bookings.

        Well, i followed on that and tried for date change on their portal again there was some technical issues while changing the dates but this time reverified my bookings 3 to 4 times before proceeding to transactions.
        Now my flight booking dates were changed successfully in the summary post payments (Rs2223 and rs.2301 respectively).

        Next day, i received my flight tickets.

        Real pain started now, i was shocked to see that on the ticket delhi to bangalore fight details were correct (Delhi to bangalore - aug 29) with correct carrier (During date change i changed flight carrier as well - airasia for round trip) but
        For bangalore to delhi their were no change it was the same date and same carrier.

        I immediately called up mmt customer service and told them to check what went wrong, to my shock they told tickets are correct, that is what i had booked on their web portal. I request them to arrange a call with their supervisor
        After this incident i realised that their is for sure some problem with mmt's web portal and due to which i had to pay rs.4524/- extra for date change.

        Roughly around second half of june 14 i recieved a call from mmt senior executive, i again told him about this whole painful incident.
        He also came back to me and told that booking is correct from their end and details recieved by me are same as which i entered in their website.
        After telling him about date change and payment of rs.2223/- i received same ticket as before then
        He took his time and came back told me that "their was a techinical issue with their website, due to which my bangalore to delhi ticket was not booked".

        Meaning: their was some technical fault in their portal because of which i had to pay up again and still i hadn't received a correct flight bookings.

        After lots of discussion, he told me new tickets are available for 11th aug bangalore to delhi but fare has gone up and i will have to make more payment roughly around 1500/- to get new tickets.
        I simply refused as this time they accepted the mistake and i was not going to go through same financial loss as before, i received a confirmation that i will receive the tickets within 6 hours; nothing recieved even after 12 hours.

        I called up again to makemytrip.com customer service had to go through same explaining process all over again, still they were not convinced, requested them for verification of my previous conversations after all that they told me
        Again their was a mistake at their end in sending mail to their other booking team, in which they has mentioned some two timings for the flight thus created confusion.

        Next thing i was doing was explaining about the financial difference and requesting to book my flight at the earliest.

        Atlast i recieved booking details with correct dates, but again their was same carrier i. E. Air vistara though while date change i booked for airasia and even on phone also i requested for airasia but no one followed.

        Requested for a refund of my rs.4524/- but they refused as they are still not agreeing that for my first booking their was some technical problem.


        Long story short:
        1. Makemytrip.com website/tool had technical fault, thus initial bookings went wrong, they didn't accept it.
        2. Date changed booking went wrong, had to pay extra; initially here as well refused to accept their fault but later accepted that their was some techincal issue with their website.
        3. After struggling for 3 days received correct tickets, which again didn't had my requested carrier but now i didn't have any more strength fight over that.

        I was a regular makemytrip.com customer but now i will never ever book any flight / hotel / trip from their website.

        I just want my refund for rs.4524/- ; though the mental torture i went through was a greater loss.

          I have a concern on the flight timings because in given flight times package is not for 6 N 7Days. It's eventually becoming 6 night 5 days ‎ tour

          The flight timing from Delhi is 2:40PM and arrival at Paro at 5:40PM and then further travel to Thimphu by 9 PM, means days is gone. Where as as per the package 18th th travel date is assigned for Thimphu stay..what will one can do except go for sleep.. from Paro flight time is 7:30 AM in morning that means I have to reach at Airport by 5 AM and for that I need to check out by 4 AM it means 24th June is not at all in our hand. Where as in 7 day start from 18 to 24th June. It's cheating to customer because I have been provided the hotel and Flight details after 100 % payement. If this could have explained earlier I would have not taken this package.

            I booked 4 rooms of "Hotel Sunshine" in Chail from your app.On reaching Chail all the way from Delhi on 21st at the hotel we were told by the hotel that they have only three rooms and cannot do anything about it.we were placed on numerous calls with MakeMytrip Custome care and Hotel owner and finally after a lot of discussions and request from hotel management we agreed to manage with three rooms provided we get refund on one room.

            We have called your customer care several times and every time we were told that your amount will get refunded in 7 working days and the refund amount comes to Rs2030.

            Finally after 20 odd days, when i wrote on Facebook, they initiated my refund but just of Rs101. Really that pissed me off as i paid 4899 for two rooms and if one room is cancelled i am entitled to get 2499 Rs.

              I have done modification of my existing booking which was scheduled on 25 july 2016 of 4 passengers naming Abhay Sharma, Ridhima Sethi, gagan Sharma, Kadam Sharma.The booking Id was MakeMyTrip Booking ID -NF[protected].
              On 10/06/2016, I made modifications and change the travel date to 26/07/2016 and made the all the necessary payments which was asked online via my citi bank credit card no ending with 3172 which is under my name.The amount was Rs 6993/-
              After few days when I opened the site for verifying whether the changes have been made or not.It was not.
              And when I contacted MMT they are asking for more money as the fare has changed.
              When there was problem on their side why would I be paying them for the fault I didn't commit.
              They asked for the modification charges I paid them instantly now when there was technical glintch on their side and the booking cannot be confirmed on their side, why I should pay the extra amount.

              kindly help me in getting excess amount they have charged and mental agony me and my family faced.

                I was to travel with my wife from new-york to detroit on 23rd, april by spirit airlines, confirmed return ticket booked by make my trip agent-mr. Arun kumar on 30/03/2016. The total amount of money asked by the agent was transferred by me online into make my trip account. The confirmed tickets with booking id - in1603b0s222279 were issued. But to my utter surprise, when we reached the airport to board the flight, i was told by the spirit airline representative that you can not board the plane, as the money has not been transferred into our account by make my trip. We kept on calling make my trip from usa but neither got any response, nor any other action was taken.
                I have been writing to their consumer complaint cell for the past two months, but no refund of money and compensation as yet for the loss & misery i faced.

                    I had booked a holiday package to dubai for 4 people on 20 jan, 2016. due to some problems i had to cancel the booking for which an amount of Rs. 42, 000 was to be refunded to me. everytime i contact mmt customer care executives, I am being told that my refund has been processed on 18 march, 2016.                       I have modified my booking of 11th June, 2016 flight for 14th June. I have been charged for this Rs . 5000 plus. But in the app the ticket remains the same of 11th June. I didnt get the ticket of 14th June. I have that message with me that shows that Make my trip has deducted money from my account. My New Make my trip id is NF[protected] that I have got after modification. Amount charged : 5327 INR

                      Now If its not being modified I have my flight tomorrow. When I am calling in the helpline, the call is getting disconnected. Please help

                        First contacted jetairways and they asked to get in touch with makemytrip for "assistance".


                        The assistance that i received is as follows:

                        Got in touch with makemy trip after half an hour of booking the ticket and spoke to tarun bhardwaj. He hardly had any time to assist and happened to ask me to get in touch with jetairways
                        Was unhappy with the response and hence got in touch with makemytrip again. Now this time spoke to aman, who again transferred the call to saurabh dixit. The call went on for 45 minutes, when they finally were able to put a conference call with someone from jetairways
                        Now someone called sarabjit was from jetairways end who was extremely rude and it seemed to me like they have done a favor to me by allowing me to book a ticket.
                        End result - zero.

                        They think that we, customers, are nothing but money-making machines


                        They just know how to loot the customer and end of the story

                          This is with regards to reference too — makemytrip booking id -, nf[protected] booking date - tue, 07 june 16
                          I was trying to book flights from ixc to bom through make my trip (Website) but because of the glitch in your system the itinerary was booked from bom to ixc. I contacted customer service and they asked me to contact the airlines directly but airlines were not able to help me and asked to contact make my trip again to revert the changes. I am just going in loops and not getting any result. This is insane. Until my payment page, i see that it was all fine with flight details and how the hell did the flight get changed like that!!!

                          Please save your reputation, i had been a frequent user of makemytrip for sometime and i have some regard for your site.

                          This kind of service is not expected from a company like make my trip.

                          Don't charge my money for your website issues!!!
                          Please refund my money or book me another itinerary

                            I just completed one of the most horrid vacations one can ever imagine
                            Makemytrip Vacation package to the North East was a disaster
                            It costed me 1, 50, 000 INR and a horrible experience
                            Makemytrip Vacation packages are a rip-off and dupe customers big time
                            The hotels booked by them stink o[censored]rine and have rats in the rooms
                            Someone has to take severe action on Makemytrip Vacation packages as there is no accountability
                            It is not disclosed how much the hotel room costs – how much Makemytrip Vacation package pays to the hotel which results in the hotel management giving the worst possible room to such bookings
                            The car transport provided was the smallest possible size with cramped travel
                            This is the most ripped off vacation package one can ever imagine
                            I request the many many vacationers to do due diligence before booking with Makemytrip Vacation package

                              'thug' the @makemytrip is! Recently i chose to book tickets from mmt app dated 29.03.16 of amount rs.10200. The transaction failed but the money was deducted from my acount. I had been calling @makemytrip office since 2 months but i see no refund. They ask me to contact the bank but the bank has stated that the amount has been claimed by the company's visa. Its the 3rd time ive been waiting for the accounts department to process the refund claim and clear the queries. Sucha a dissappointment it has been to book a ticket from @makemytrip. I would like mmt to look in this matter on urgent basis before i have to move to higher authorities.

                              Further, in reference to your complaint, we have validated your case with our finance department and found that on 29-Mar-16 customer has made several attempts for Inr 10200/- to make flight booking through our Mobile App. Against two transactions the payment was charged and booking has got confirmed however, for the other transactions the amount was not charged as the same was declined by your respective bank. We request you to please check your bank statement till date, may be the amount has now been auto reversed from your bank’s end. If in case the refund is still not reflecting in your account, please file a Charge back with your bank against the failed transaction. Please

                                All the offers shown are not been ful filled until we continuously keep on complaining.firstly it happened on cash back offer.
                                then they had offer that if i will do 4 booking worth RS 3500 and atleast 1 should be of hotel then they will give me free room night.
                                i did 6 flight booking but my hotel booking was remaing after which i would have been eligible, i did that booking as well but now they changed there offer saying that now its RS 5000.How any changes apply for existing customer and that also only when he is one step closer.So in this way each time when customer is about to achieve, This company is going to change the offer.

                                do you need all 26 Booking id of the current year?
                                Anyway i got a reply which was not satisfactory and i told them but since they are sending same automated message, i choose not to be part of MMT any more and hence it doesnot matter anymore to me.

                                  I have traveled to Nepal and wanted to prepone my return ticket. I contacted MakeMyTrip. They said I can prepone however my charges of return ticket was equivalent to one way new ticket charges. Instead proponent of my original ticket I bought new ticket and traveled back. Now i wanted to cancel my ticket so that some amount will be refunded to me. MakemyTrip guys say my onward travel charges were more than To and Fro ticket charges and no refund can be given. My ticket was confirmed and not check fare ticket for which only cancellation charges are applicable. Neither during my one way travel I was upgraded to higher class. I am unable to digest the logic. No clear explanation is being given by them. Very poor and bad services. I suggest not to book any ticket through them as if some changes are to be made during your travel you will get into trouble and will have to shell out lot additional money.

                                    Hi,

                                    I and my wife had booked a travel to Gangtok, Darjeeling and Lachung premium honeymoon package with MMT from 29th May to 4th June..

                                    Lachung trip was suggested by holiday expert and we found it worth visiting and included it in our package against Peiling and Kalingpong.
                                    When it was risky or not possible then why is it included in itinery or suggested to customers and attracted with less information
                                    We were not informed about cancellation of Lachung till the time we reached gangtok, and the alternative for Lachung was trip to Ravangla(Buddha park and Namchi) and the accommodation wasn't satisfying as per Premium amount charged, 1 day trip was extended to 2 days which wasn't worth the money... we need a solution for this... and we had booked a honeymoon package, which had to include(1 candle light dinner, 1 cake and 1 wine bottle), for which we waited for last day but wasn't provided.. and the tour managers in Gangtok weren't responsible enough to call us and inform about next days event.
                                    As per confirmation voucher provided, we were supposed to get Summit Norling Resort but after reaching resort we were sent to Orange Village Resort( Where we had to waste around 3 hours in travelling).

                                    Let us know what solution MMT can provide us as overall experience wasn't as expected because of poor management.

                                      I wanted to book a flight from vizag to hyderabad on 3rd july 2016 and while checking during air india offer, i found 1500 fare and booked five tickets (4 adult and 1 infant)
                                      By the time i went to payment, i saw that two tickets fare was adjusted to 2800 and to verify i went back to flight results page and saw that it was still 1500. However, i went ahead to payment after selecting the appropriate flight and found that it was 1500 for all and paid for the tickets. Much to my shock - the flight booked was not from vizag to hyd but rather it was hyderabad to vizag. I realized it that day evening after i received the itenary mail from make my trip. I am utterly disappointed with such a buggy code and i booked my flight one more time - have to book air costa due to your mistake, paid extra fare too. I want my first flight fare to be refunded fully.

                                      This is insane. Until my payment page, i see that it was all fine with flight details and how the hell did the flight get changed like that!!!

                                      Please save your reputation, i had been a frequent user of makemytrip for sometime and i have some regard for your site.

                                      Don't charge my money for your website issues!!!
