Hi,
My name is Manish Mukund Modsing. I initiated an exchange deal with Spectra Motors
(authorised dealer of Maruti Suzuki) of my car Maruti Suzuki Estilo VXI against new Wagon R. When I visited Spectra
motors Ghatkopar showroom on 25.12.2014 for actual exchange procedure,
the sales person told me that they are out of stock for Wagon R VXI variant but
have LXI petrol stock with them. So instead of waiting for VXI stock to come I
decided to go for LXI Model at cost of Rs 4, 33, 000 excluding discount and
including Old Car Price + Exchange bonus + Corporate Discount etc and in return kept my Estilo
with them on the same day and was called upon by them next day for finalization
including paperwork, etc.
Next day on 26.12.2014 the sales
person told that they don't have stock for Wagon R LXI petrol variant too so I
told him that I am cancelling the deal as you do not have any stock (VXI or LXI
petrol) with you. On this, the sales person pleaded me to give him time until
5th of Jan 2015 for making the necessary arrangements. I confirmed about the
cost if it remains same even in 2015 and after his assurance and keeping blind
faith in the Brand Maruti Suzuki, I decided to wait and also asked him to get
the VXI model only at the cost of Rs 4, 65, 000/- excluding discount and including Old Car Price + Exchange bonus +
Corporate Discount etc instead of LXI petrol.
Till 5th of Jan, 2015, I did not receive any feedback
from the dealer or sales person. Instead I followed up about the progress of
stock every day as my car was with them for such a long period. Finally
yesterday i.e. on 13th Jan 2015, I came
to know that a VXI variant with Baker’s Chocolate color has been allocated to
me and shipped from manufacturing unit to Mumbai and in order to settle the
deal they asked me to come to their office today (14th Jan, 2015). When
I visited the showroom for settlement of costing, paperwork, etc. to my
surprise and dislike the pricing was revised and in the new version thus finalized,
I was supposed to pay around Rs.25, 000/- more.
I asked for the justification in hike in final cost I need to bear
and I was given some stupid and unacceptable reasons which tested my patience
to maximum extent. I got a feeling of cheating and ignorance and hence decided to
cancel the deal altogether and asked them to return my old car – Zen Estilo
immediately. Again I received some foolish answers like the car is in godown,
warehouse or wherever and was asked to wait for his call when the dealer will
keep my old car ready, but still I have not received a single call from them
and hence I decided to lodge a complaint with Maruti Suzuki.
This is very pathetic treatment received from Spectra and in turn
from Maruti Suzuki. I am very much upset with this treatment as
my car is with them for more than 15 days now which affected my regular
travelling and as my car was with Spectra Motors, I was unable to go to any other
Authorized Maruti dealer too after having stressed to great extent with this
deal with Spectra Motors.
