ON 5th MAY 2008 I HAVE GIVEN MY MARUTI ZEN CAR AP10K 7374 FOR SERVICE AND PROBLEMS RELATING TO AIR CONDITIONER, STARTING PROBLEM AND BATTERY AT THE DEALER M/S MITHRA AGENCIES WORKSHOP AT RTC CROSS ROAD HYDERABAD. ON 6TH MAY I RECIEVED A 3 TO 4 CALLS FROM THE WORKSHOP THAT MY CAR IS READY FOR DELIVERY. WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERS WORKSHOP TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE I WAS GIVEN A BILL OF AROUND RS 3700 TOWARDS SERVICE AND SPARES CHARGES. ON SEEING THE VEHICLE I HAD THE SHOCK OF MY LIFE. THE CAR WAS NOT EVEN CLEANED OR WASHED. ONE OF THE PIPES RELATING TO THE AC WAS REPLACED AND NO OTHER WORK WAS DONE.

ON MY ARGUEMENT AND VERBUAL DUALS AT THE WORKSHOP THEY HAVE JUST CLEANED AND WASHED THE VEHICLE, SAYING THAT OWING TO HEAVY RUSH THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO CLEAN THE VEHICLE BUT ASSURED ME THAT OTHER WORKS HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT. THE FACT IS NITHER THE BATTERY PROBLEM NOR THE STARTING PROBLEM WAS RECTIFIED. EVEN TODAY I FACE THE SAME PROBLEM.

I HAD WRITTEN MY COMPLAINT IN THE COMPLAINT REGISTER AND SENT AN E-MAIL TO THE COMPANY BUT NO ONE HAS RESPONDED.

A VERY SHABBY AND POOR STATE OF AFFAIRS AT THE DEALERS WORKSHOP AT MARUTI WHICH BOASTS OF THE NO 1 IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

You are right. Almost everybody has the same experience with the different dealers . I have a bitter experience after buying a maruti alto on 24.10.08. Maruti should not claim of giving total customer care satisfaction. Its dealers are cheating people in the absence of competition. Services from Tata motors dealers are far better than Maruti. All customer should made a forum about shabby treatment meted out to its customer by maruti dealers. Indians should stop buying maruti. Hell with Maruti company.

On 30 mar i given my maruti alto[PBO8BC7345 reg on the name of ghanshayam dass sharma] for denting and paintaing to stan autos jalandhar punjab. my billed amount was rs7357 but when they handed over the car to me the services were worst than a road side denter, accessiories of my car were also spiled there, when i complained it to the work manager his behavior was too illitrate, i don't think from the future v ve to get our cars serviced from authorised dealers bec there services are worst than road side denter even alot of misbehave

    Dear Mr. Nakanishi,

    Greetings.

    This mail is from a loyal maruti customer of over 20 years and now a disgruntled one.

    I am another customer who booked a DZire with one of your esteemed dealers at Gurgaon.
    The date i booked DZire VDi was April 04, 2008. I was told that the vehicle will take at the maximum of a month to reach me.

    It has well been beyond a month. The entire amount has been credited by the bank to the dealer. There is absolutely no confirmation on when the car will be delivered. The prestigious awards that you claim to win year on year are nothing but a flash of hoax. I am totally convinced. Afterall, you have been in business for countably long years and predicting supply-demand and maintaining a good SCM should be your key competency.

    One Mr. Nitish (allegedly Zonal Manager- North India) has issued a statement at http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/maruti-swift-dzire-c42203.html


    The first incident of 'fraud' surfaced when i evaluated the car via multiple dealers to get the exact on-road-know-how.
    The Batras @ Faridabad asked for a Rs. 25, 000 premium to deliver the car in flat 10 days. Funnily, they were willing to negotiate. The Vipuls @ Faridabad told me on March 27, 2008 that they had received 113 booking by that evening. Two days and 113 booking in Faridabad alone is a huge number. I hope you are in sync with me on this. The current dealer proudly printed on my booking documents that the delivery date was non commital.

    In the growing economy where the customer decides the fate of any corporate, i fail to understand how does Maruti manage to sideline the same. Moreso, win awards to add to the agony.

    Now imagine the scenario wherein, because of your known (your dealers included) practises, the media is involved with a bunch of consumer forum complaints (http://dzireproblems.blogspot.com/), would you then be able to correct your image in the market ?

    Would you be able to face the emarassment if the court asked you to publicly share the delivery timelines of the vehicles and the same applied to your dealers ? Would your efficient dealer managers be able to answer phone calls then ?

    I believe you follow multiple 'scientific' methods in your production and dealer management viz. SAP / ISO 9001:2000 / TS 16949 : 2002etc.

    If your performance is so pathetic that you cannot meet the demands, should you not be stripped off your certificates for the above. Ofcourse SAP system remains your Enterprise Planning tool, if any. I am forced to believe that the Sales Managers have been planning using Excel sheets as to how they can create a fraudulent requirement sheet to cheat the customers and help the Maruti Dealerships earn money.

    Why does an exhaustive system like SAP not offer you a small portal link that enables users to track their car bookings via the booking number. You sell probably 100000 cars / year (approximated fig). Airlines sell as many tickets in one month or less. They are able to do it.
    Where is the transparency that any customer expects of you ?

    My humble request to you is to get involved NOW. Talk to customers, tell them when they will get returns for their money and why you are still best while being a Desi company. Incentivise them for being loyalists. Pay their interest money, its their right.

    You may definitely choose not to respond or respond in a way that doesnt describe the tangible gains.

    Its purely your perogerative now.

    Junk companies will have junk business policies.

    I totaly agree with Mr Nakanishi I had booked my swift dzire Car on Launching day of Dzire Car as on 27th of march-08.At Seva Auto Dhule they promised me to deliver the car by 20th of April and it is now the 15 th of may and yet non of the responsibels are abel to give me the date of Delivery of My New Dzire ZDI car.
    Hi too agree completely with Mr. Nakanishi. I had booked a Swift Dzire VXI having an ex-showroom price of Rs. 498, 957 on 28th of March '08 (a couple of days after its launch) with Rohan Motors Ltd. Noida paying Rs. 15, 000 vide cheque ( receipt ref. no. 15268). I was told that the vehicle would be delivered within 30-35 days but the dealer kept delaying the delivery citing low production of the car. On 17th May morning I got a call from the dealer and was told that the vehicle is likely to be delivered within 2 days and the same evening Maruti Suzuki announced a price hike. I subsequently got a call from the dealer saying that the price of the car booked by me has been increased by a hefty Rs. 19, 000 plus which has taken me aback. This is a clear case o[censored]nfair Trade Practice adopted by MSIL and cheating customers by deliberately holding back deliveries for unusually long by not giving a clear picture of delivery schedules. The fact that for 50 days since booking I am told that the vehicle has not arrived and the day I am told that the car will be delivered within two days, the price is hiked substantially. I hereby urge all such people in similar circumstances to file cases in consumer courts against Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. for deliberately cheating customers. It is shocking to find a company like Maruti which has enjoyed a good reputation as one of the companies adopting fair trade practices. After this incident I will ensure that never ever in my life would I buy a MSIL vehicle and would suggest all my relatives and acquaintances to opt for others like Hyundai, GM or even Fiat (the last two slowly gaining customer confidence after the false starts).
    I also faced the same problem.I had booked dzire lxi on 8th april by paying the full amount!On 21st May, the dealer calls me up and says that the car price has gone up by Rs.24500/- and if I agree to pay it, they"ll try to deliver the car within one month!!Just imagine the fraudulent practice.I had booked with Jalan in Kolkata.I urge all persons who were wrongly cheated by maruti to go to consumer court and teach them a lesson.

    We recently booked SwiftDesire Petrol on April with Khivraj Motors . It was just 4 days after Desire launched . We paid advance of Rs50, 000 . Till this moment we didnt get any feedback /status about the delivery .
    On May 28th we went to khivraj and again asked for the dates . But the manager and the sales executive played a huge drama . All the answers gave by them was not convincing and they try to expalain in a wrong way . We then went to CARS INDIA and enquired with them that for the past months does any swiftcar (petrol)has been delivered . They said they have delivered 100 cars so far . I dont know whom to beleive and whom not to.

    It is not Maruti who is doing the fraud. We booked the first or second Dzire car in kerala. We did recieved the car couple of weeks back. One thing we noticed was, dealers asked us to buy some accessories or with some premium they can deliver the car earlier.

    One of my relative who wanted a car immediately bought some accessories and he recvd the care in 2 weeks, where as for us it took a long time to get the car.

    So, who is responsible for all these? Is there a nexus between the dealer and some individuals who makes money like this?
    I am facing this kind of atrocious behaviour from the Dealer I( Mandovi motors - Bangalore)who wants to make money upfront.While all other dealer says 5 to 6 months, these guys would promise to get the car earlier by one month.When the car I booked is already out and my loan processed the dealer told me it will take some more time and when I asked why, he told it is given to somebody else who paid more cash.Is this the way they sell cars whoever pay more money, then what is the use of booking the car.It looks like maruti itself is supporting these kind of behaviour.But Maruti should remember the day is not far that cars like i20, jazz will bring the Swift market down and will be looking for customer to sell thier cars.
    Why not setup a group and sue these crooks?
    The dealers are complete fraudsters. I booked at Vasanthi Automobiles in Pondicherry. After a wait of 2 months, they said the car has arrived. They asked us to pay the full amount. I paid. Then we were told that the car hadn't arrived. We were suprised. Another 3 weeks passed. They continue to hold 5.5 lakhs of our money and not giving our money back, giving one excuse or another. Perhaps Maruthi thought that some kind of exclusive image can be created by creating an artificial demand. The do not realise that this is all blowing up big time. There is no way, I will recommend this stupid overhyped car or the bunch of money laundering criminals who are passing off as dealers. Public bewarned. Stay away from suzuki.

      I purchased a SX4 Vxi on November 26, 2007 from Asha Motors, Bhuj. At the time of booking I had asked for Fog Lamps to be fitted on the car and paid additional Rs 4800/- for the same. Price as told by dealer for the Maruti Genuine Accessory(MGA). In April this year the Lamps went unserviceable. When I took the car for its second servicing I pointed out the problem to the service engineer at Tara Automobiles, Bathinda. To my dismay, the workshop refused to repair the fog lamps and advised that new lamps be fitted as the accessory was not genuine. This would have a financial effect of Rs 3900/-. To my amazement I had paid Rs 4800/- initially for the same.
      The same was addressed to Maruti on their website, to which i got a prompt reply initially. Thereafter the complaint against the dealer seems to have gone to deaf ears. I would really be thankful if someone could advise where i should file this complaint.

        I booked a Swift Dzire VDi model with Tanya Automobilie Meerut dated 30.03.08. Tanya person at Tanya promised to give delivery within 10 days.
        After 10 days Mr. Yadav of Tanya Automobiles asked for full payment to get the delivery within next 7 days. I made the full payment (loan sanctioned by Bank & remaining amount i paid thru cheque).
        After 7 days Mr. Yadav confirmed delivery by end Apr'08.
        But on 30.04.08 Mr. Yadav again postponed delivery and said he will confirm on 2nd May'08.
        Meanwhile I had a talk with Mr. Muneesh Bali Area Manager of Maruti Suzuki who never responded well. He rarely picks his mobile phone and on contacting him at his office it was told either he had not reached office or is in a meeting.
        Also I got a mail from Tanya Automobiles GM Mr. Navneet expecting delivery by 1st week of May'08.
        Meanwhile Mr. Yadav of Tanya Automobiles Meerut told me that your number is first and the first Swift Dzire Tanya will get in May'08 will be delivered to me. He also confirmed that Maruti is not delivering any Swift Dzire VDi till 15th May'08.
        Now today (09.05.08) after lot of efforts when i received the mail from Mr. Muneesh Bali that Maruti will be delivering 3 Swift Dzire VDi in May'08 I contacted Mr. Yadav of Tanya Automobiles he said your number is 3rd and you will be getting the delivery by end of May'08 or 1st week Jun'08.
        Mr. Muneesh is not picking the phone and Tanya Automobiles is not responding well.
        Even I contacted Head office at Delhi the said we are noting your complaint and will revert back to you but no response.
        Can anybody help.

        Maruti / Swift Dzire VDI — Delivery delay from Tanya Automobiles even after full payment & Loan sanction

        I booked Maruti swift Dzire VDI with Tanya Automobiles Meerut on 30.03.2008 and they promised to deliver the car on 06.04.2008.
        When I contacted them on 06.04.08 they first said that you make the remaining payment apart from the loan amount and as soon as your loan will be sanctioned we will give you the car.
        I made the balance amount payment and also the bank gave them the loan clearance on 08.04.08.
        Now they are not clearly telling when the car will be delivered.
        They are simply saying please check tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.
        I contacted customer care and received mail from Tanya Automobiles with no proper clarification.
        They are saying you will get delivery may be in next month.
        Is Maruti not in a position to givetimely delivery or there is some technical problem in the car and Maruti is trying to rectify.
        Such delays without and proper reason leads to lot many questions on the performance of the car.
        I had booked on 28th March Dzire Zdi via Vitesse Mumbai, which I have cancelled this week after repeated dealys. Projected delivery is June 08 with a caveat that this may get further delayed depending upon production status.

        I realise it is not the dealer but the mismanagement at Maruti Suzuki that the root of miscommunication and confusion.

        Dealers themselve dont know when the car shall come as Maruti does not respond with dates to them due to production constraints.

        Maruti Suzuki customer care numbers online are manned by useless people who dont have clue to this situation. They keep harping the line "Dzire is a wonderful car and congrats on booking", but when asked to help with delivery dates they give a standard response that "the complaint is being forwarded to concerned department". There is no call back or response anymore.

        Suzuki is a unconcerned about customer satisfaction since the demand suppply situation + service network is in there favour. Where as others car manufacturers are trying hard to improve, this company has no focus on customer care and just mouths customer care instead of practicing it in my IMHO.

        BTW, Car Finance Interest rates have gone up and Maruti Suzuki car prices will go up this month
        Fraud being carried out by Suzuki. Total mismanagement

          Dear Team,

          Since few months I am facing left alignment problem in my Maruti Swift 2007 model.
          Car is badly pulling on left side when I am going above 70-80 kms/hr.
          I have chosen MAGIC AUTO, MAYAPURI Service Station for problem resolution.
          They found left alignment problem, instead of resolving the problem, they have just
          tried to convince me and convincing me everytime ( 3 times I gone for the same problem there ).
          I raised complaint to their works manager( Baljeet Singh .
          Mr. Baljeet Singh started convincing me without seeing/testing my car.
          He started advicing me that its something normal.Huh... I was surprised I am also working in
          service industry, telecom sector, but so worst scenarios in INDIA.
          Please try to resolve my problem as it is urgent otherwise I am bounded to go for consumer forum.

          Hi Vineet,

          I am experiencing the same problem my swift is 2007 model its a Diesel swift and its pulling towards the left. As you leave the steering it doesn't go straight on the cement road either. I am in the process of this and will update you guys. In the mean time kindly post your complaint in the following forum which i have created.           Since few months I am facing left alignment problem in my Maruti Swift 2007 model.

          I have chosen Rohan Motors, Ghaziabad Service Station for problem resolution.
          These guys are helpless do not have any resolution for this problem.

          Now i went to local shop for alignment and Blancing and i am surprise to know he says you need to change your shocker, if you did't then this will make your car ride worse and engine will gone..
          i have same problem with my swift vdi 2008 it pulls toward left even aftr several alinments nd tyres changes nothing seems to work iam so sad with this problem.

          i do not know what to do how to get it corrected. please help if some one can.

            I had booked a Swift VDI in Bimal Indiranagar showroom on 13th Dec 08 for sunlight copper color. The delivery time indicated was 3-4 months. In March when i approached the showrrom the team lead said all VDI customers would be given preference for Swift dzire. I changed the booking to swift dzire ZDI and the team lead said delivery would be effected within a month. On constant follow up one day the sales person said you have booked your car only on 27th March and hence you are the last in the queue. There was no response on what is the prefeerence given to VDI customers. As no official response was forthcoming I spoke to the Maruto representative Mr.kaushik and he says the car will atke 8-9 months for delivery. He said there are 8 ZDI bookings in all at Bimal and I am 8th on the list. Bimal indicated to me the car would be delivered in the next despatch! Lack of transparency and tendency to take the customer for granted is a starking reality in Bimal showrooms. The situation is much better in Chennai where the showroom atleast indicates a tentative date for delivery at the time of booking.

            Dear all,

            I am working in Hyundai Ancillary. Hyundai is very clear about the Capacity plan & demand supply. They never did mistake like Maruthi what they are doing in Swift & Dzire. Hyundai have very good Strategic plan on their new product development. They synchronized all their vendors for the capacity with very clear strategy.
            For example:
            The i10 Domestic & Global launch was not delayed & there is no complaint about delay in delivery and meet the demand.
            Strategy followed by Hyundai

            1. The same Santro engine carry over planned for i10 with new transmission line to avoid delay & meet the supply demand
            2. New CAPA Series all aluminum engine ( 1200 cc) which is planned for i10 will be fitted in i10 with new more variant to explore the market further
            3. The same new engine will be fitted in their global standard ( NCAP – 5 STAR) i20 model ( Project code PB)
            4. CAPACITY PLANNING - The market projection forecast for i10 was 600 cars / day only, but Hyundai planned for 1200 cars/ day & supplier capacity (tool capacity) also planned accordingly from the beginning itself.
            5. So the production has increased aggressively after launching according to the Domestic & Global requirement. Recently Hyundai touched 800 i10 cars / day & plan has given to touch 1000 i10 cars / day, because there is some more demand on export expected because of Diesel variant. Still, there is no complaint in India & in overseas about delay delivery because of demand & some other reason.
            6. The 1000 cc CRDi Diesel engine will ( Source from Korea which is currently well playing in KIA – Picando ) fitted in i10 export model & later on to domestic with some cost reduction measures ( Replacement of Variable Geometric turbo to Normal turbo charge to reduce the cost)
            7. PRE PLANNING – Now a days capacity expansion is going on with suppliers (Tools & Jigs) to plan further capa increase to meet the diesel variant demand before its launch.

            This is the Hyundai plan on every new projects / car model launch. They never fail to meet the customer requirement, that’s why Hyundai is India’s large car exporter.

            So I recommend to GO FOR HYUNDAI MODEL CARS.
            Plz wait for some time (Instead of wait for swift & dzire with lakh rupee holding), you will get a new i10 with 1000 cc CRDi Diesel engine with great mileage

            (20 ~ 21 kmpl resulting in KIA Picando )

            I would like bring it to your kind notice that I have got a letter from Maruti Dzire with regards to my booking for Dz ire V xi Beige co lour which I have done in the month of April 2008.
            I have clearly explained with your Guindy ABT Agent executive Mr. Palanivel about my working place. Iam in Russia currently. And I have told him that I can take the delivery after necessary payments only after July which is 90 days. He accepted and he also told me that the color is also confirmed. Now why should I get Not Beige only Red and that too payment to be done in 3 days time. Review my request with your executive before you send me the letter. And I need the reply asap. I have all the documents written in your letter head with all the booking details including my choice of color. I will not agree to give my booking to the next person.

            My request to all i own dzire zdi.
            its not surly worth to wait for this car, mileage in city 14 km/pl in cit
            highway 18.9 on high way.
            ( this is the true mileage i am getting).
            i would suggest go for logon or fiesta. for ride comfort.
            instead of this convert. its shock absorbsers are not up to the mark.
            it gives you bumpy ride.
            mileage is also not great and waiting period for 4 to 9 months
            my opinion is wait for some time some other new good models will be release soon.
            i paid 7.86 lac for this car but u can get better ride and comfort for 1 lac more.

            I booked my dzire vdi silky silver with advance of 25K in mangalore and got it in 1.5 months. I have driven 800 kms till now and I am very satisfied. But I still think booking process is not transparent yet. First they said vehicle would be available in a month. After booking, they said maruti factory is shut down for maintenance which was confirmed by another dealer but third dealer said this was not true. And after waiting for a month, they said vehicle would be dispatched in next week. then they said indent is still pending and vehicle dispatch may be delayed. My finance had already been arranged. I told them I might change the dealer and would withdraw my booking. then things started moving. they told me to come and talk to the dealership manager personally. I was expecting them to ask a premium amount going by things i read about what was happening last year. but they said my vehicle was already dispatched. then i got my car in 8 days.
            I have also bokked the car with advance of s.50, 000/- through City Car (auhtorsed maruti dealer at Singrauli distt, MP) in first week of Sept'09. But till date the dealer is not giving me any satisfactory answer regarding dispatch against my booking. There might be chances of giving my number car to other one. I am fade up by such attitude and action and thing for cance the order.

            there is no spare parts for servicing. how much time will take for servicing.

              MIGHT SOUND THIS AS A JOKE BUT WE ARE MAKING IT A GOLDEN RULE FOR THE FAMILY AND NEXT GENERATIONS "NOT TO BUY MARUTI PRODUCTS".
              i have a maruti alto car DL 9C P 2866 november 2005 model bought from mayapuri DD MOTORS. My car has been serviced at wazirpur service station again DD MOTORS since the very begining.
              i have been getting my service done regularly by paying high amounts each time but now if you see the condition of the car, my car reacts funny and jumps being run on petrol.
              i got CNG kit fitted few months back and was aware that this is going to effect the engine as well upto some extent. now when i turn my car on petrol it doesn't perform the way it should.
              may be this is the reason why maximum no.s of car burning are of MARUTI.

              last time i approached these wazirpur at guys DD MOTORS, they wasted mine and there's time as well without understanding the crux of the problem.

              MARUTI GUYS NEED TO MAKE IT POINT " IF YOU CAN'T CATER TO YOUR EXISTING CUSTOMERS YOU'LL AUTOMATICALLY LOOSE NUMBERS IN LONGER RUN B'COZ IT'S NOT COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS IT'S A WORD OF MOUTH SALES OF YOUR EXISTING CUSTOMERS."

              i didn't invested too much by buying alto car but had learning out of it, not to buy any maruti products.

                TODAY ON 14/05/2008 I HAD GIVEN MY VEHICLE TO M/S KATARIA AUTOMOBILES, DUMAS ROAD SURAT FOR REPAIR OF MY CAR. THE HEAD LIGHT WAS CHANGED. TILL THAT TIME I WAS PURCHASING GROCERIES FROM VISHAL RETAIL.

                WHILE DELIVERING THE CAR THE PAINT NEAR THE PETROL TANK WAS DAMAGED & I IMMEDIATELY INFORMED THE SUPERVISOR, BUT THEY DID NOT DO ANYTHING. NOW EVERY TIME I SEE MY CAR I REMEBER OF MARUTI CARE, WHAT SERVICE DO YOU PROVIDE.

                  I purchased wagon r from pebco motor, jamshedpur, jharkhand on 21/sep/2004.I Purchased the scheme of 4th year extended warrenty.In the last servicing from pebco motor my self solenoid is not working. self solenoid replacement comes under extented warrenty, but not changed by pebco motor.

                    I had purchased a Maruti Zen Estilo Lxi from Ludhiana-dealership being Sandhu Motors. The car was purchased around 3 months back in the month of January and since then it has gone to the service station 5 times. What an achievement for a company like Maruti Suzuki!!!.Sometimes the brakes are not working properly, sometimes there is problem in the engine, sometimes the car is not starting etc etc.I already have three maruti vehicles and i was planning to purchase one more- Swift Desire but the attitude off the dealer has made me change my mind. I have requested the dealer n number of times to check the vehicle thoroughly but all in vain. I live in Delhi and the car was purchased from Ludhiana and you can very well understand how difficult it is to go back to Ludhiana evey time the vehicle breaks down.

                    After going thorugh all the frustration I had written a mail to the service department of Maruti but no revert was recd. from there side.

                    I have a maruti Zen Estillo registration number UP-16-N-9357 purchased from Rohan Motors Noida Sec2. It met with an accident two weeks back and just now I got it back today. No one explained me what has been changed and I did not get to see the old parts. Last week I put a complaint at Maruti Zen Website but they did not responded as the supervisor who was allocated my car was on leave and no one was responding back to me and they did not even bother to call me and when I complained to Maruti in the beginning when I booked my car and didnt get it in the promised time I received calls from everoyne like sir if you have any problem then call me directly. You will get you car in the next 2 days and all.

                    Now when it comes to post sales service its disgusting.

                    The reason of my complaint is that I got my car today and they have made the changes, repair etc. However, their is a long scratch on the right side front door which is extended to the rear door too and they are saying it was from before when I gave it though there wasn't this scratch which they are talking about. Somoene in their workshop has mishandled it and they are defending this. There are many other scratches in my car so why wud I talk about this particular one. They have even tried to cover that by putting a layer of red color on it but were unsuccesful and when I asked them if it was their from before then why is this color there. Had I made this scratch I wud have got it removed. They said we do touching. I dont understand why they did not try to repair the dents which I told them but they tried to remove this one but were not able to do so because they did it. I want a proper judgement in this case and a strict action again them. Even they have show charges of 10000 towards denting/painting and they have done nuthing as major of the parts have been completely changed so there was nothing to repair.

                    I just have to believe them as I am not an auto engineer. I dont have any problem but I just want them to remove this scratch which is their fault. It was not their before. Anyone can see and tell that it is fresh and my car was with them from the last two weeks so its them who have done this.

                      I have appraised you of the fraud perpetrated on me by your dealer vide my mail dtd April 5, 2008( Tracking number: HT20080405_[protected]) the text of which is reproduced below for your ready reference.


                      This is to bring to your kind attention that on March 28, 2008, I asked the Maruti Dealer at Kurukshetra, for a 2008 model Zen Estillo and were shown one. I made full payment for the car and got the delivery of Zen Estilo VXi superior white car on March 28, 2008 from your showroom at Kurukshetra.

                      Later on from the date of manufacture on the Tyres and enquiry from your office I found that I was given Model of September, 2007. I was surprised and shocked as I could not believe that a thing like this can happen in a company of high repute such as Maruti. I believe that if a model of previous year is being sold to the customer, it is brought to the knowledge of the customer and his/her consent is taken.

                      This has affected me psychologically and given me mental agony instead of any excitement and happiness. I have not driven the car except filling the petrol tank to the brim. It is parked in my covered garage.
                      I request you to replace the car by 2008 model and necessary action must be taken immediately.


                      Apparently no cognizance has been taken of my complaint.I am surprised at the callous and indifferent attitude adopted by the company.

                      Through this mail I call upon you once again to give me full refund of entire payment including Insurance& road Tax paid by me and take back the Sept 2007 model car sold to me as 2008 model.
                      If I do not get redressal of my complaint in next seven days, I shall have no option but to proceed legally in the matter and also to take up the matter with consumer court.Needless to mention that all this shall be at your cost.

                      I lookforward for a quick response.

                        I own a Maruti Alto for the past two years. I shopped around for the third year insurance, I was amazed on the level of difference in amout by different dealers. Still I went ahead with the costliest of the lot, one of the service centre near my house M/s. Insuh Maruti Service Centre. he promised me Rs. 5114 as a premium for Rs. 202000 as car value. The day i called the insurance agent for collecting the cheque, he quoted me Rs. 5300. I negotiated so he came down to Rs. 5200. I paid him the cheque, the next he sent me the insurance paper, then I noticed that the car value he had taken was only Rs. 191000. i could have done nothing except calling him again for correcting it. then he said it is irreversible, to compensate he would give me 4 service coupons worth Rs.800. each of them bears 50% discount on service charge (400). He also said i could present 2 coupons and avail 100% discount. I thought fair enough as i get my car serviced two times a year.

                        Today, after a week, I sent my car for servicing, they say they only will accept 50% coupon. I say that their employee had promised me 100%, now they disown him saying his words cannot be counted. I had a argument with the manager Mr.Yadav ([protected])with no result and the owner Bindra ([protected]) is not picking up the phone.

                        Well, the point here is not the money, because they are anyhow charging around Rs.1500 for complete service except the labour charges which is. Rs.400. I am pissed off because of their false promised and misleading committments while selling their insurance. I feel more troubled because I lost my half day fighting with them which in turn affected my business. and ofcourse my call charges worth more than Rs.100.

                        In Total, stupid senseless services. This reflects on the effectiveness of Maruti service. Insuh is Maruti's Authorised (to trouble) Service Center.

                        I was quite amazed with the kind of service Maruti service stations are offering. I got my car repaired from HEMKUNT SERVICE STATION, Lodhi Road for the same problem and still these guys are unable to give me the solution to the problem. More over they misbehaved with me. There was a problem with Maruti 800 brakes and I called them up to get the vehicle from my home. There was a bottle of Brake Oil and Engine Oil which I gave it to the person who came to pick up the vehicle. They not only used the oil but also charged me hefty amount for that.

                        My name is Ashok Madan and I had given my maruti swift for my 2nd service. They gave my car with the rim imbalanced and my tyre was messed up. The bill they gave me was also not right as they gave me someone else's bill. I still have not recieved my bill yet. When i went to service cenrte again they made me sit for 4 hours in extreme hot weather and still they did not fix the rim. On top of that they call me after 2 days and ask me whether I am satisfied. I will never ever go to a maruti service station. There is no system and it is equal to govt ofiice as no one listens to you.

                        I have given my vehicle on Date[protected] of My car Maruti Alto LX for 4th service at Moter Craft, MS 2 & MS 3, Opp. BEL, Site 4, Sahiababad Ind Area, Sahiadad, Ph. No.[protected] .

                        I was facing various problems while I submit my car to them.

                        I told them specifically to check my vehicle to inspect and troubleshoot the issues, but the some of the below problems are not resolved after service. I paid around Rs.2500/- towards the Spares and Service charges for my car but it is not worth paying it. I am totally fed up and frustrated with Moter Craft Service Center ( Service is Pick & Drope ), and in short I will Never Recommend Moter Craft for Service .

                          DEAR SIR,
                          I am having Maruti Wagon R number- MH04DB-3227, which i have purchased on dated 6th april 2007.

                          This car i have purchased from Laxmi Cars At Meera Road.

                          On dated 20th april 08 we are going to Shirdi via Nashik and at 39 kms milestone of shirdi left the car clutch was failed. then i called up nearest dealer Ms Shaan Cars Nashik.

                          After 2hrs the co representative arrived at the destination and towed my car to nashik say arround 52 kms which they have charged 8rs /km.

                          Ms shaan cars have changed clutch plate and [ressure plate both on dated 21st april 2008 and the total bill i paid rs 4800, because they have not considerd the failure in warranty.

                          Being as an automobile engineer i can check my self whther the component can be considerd in warranty or its a failure due to override.

                          i am still not fully conveinced about the logic given by Shaan cars nashik technician as the clutch was override. the reason i can look as my cars has been used in one year only 15000 kms because i am travelling almost 25days outside of mumbai then when i have time to use my cars. isnt it correct?

                          Moreover if they wanted to change clutch plate then they should change clutch plate only why they have changed pressure plate which cost me extra. logic given to me is it is set supplied by maruti and can not be sold alone.i ask why ? they answered maruti company policy.

                          And it is not coming under warrenty, but we are fail to understand that from the day one we have this complaint and they are now saying that this is due to Overriding, But we would like to clearify that this vehicle is drive by my shelf only and this is my fifth vehicle, I am holding license since 1994, I have used, fiat, Maruti-800, Omani, Santro and this, we have never change Clutch assembly, and car is not overriding because this is one owner drive, I never give my car to anybody only self drived, and You can see the Kms. That how much kms run this car, and why we have Complaint to cheak Tharlly, Normally in 7000Kms.Clutch assembly never change as per my knowledge, and out of four car we have never face problem of same, Just to protect and overlook by them they are saying this is due to overriding.

                          If we have no trust on Kataraia they have ask us on phone for New service contract and we have ask to collect payment alongwith and we have paid also, this is may some over Look the complaints and the reason which they are asking is absolutely wrong, because this vehicle only myshelf is drive so we know in case Override.any way we have paid the

                            Hi,

                            I had purchased a OMni lpg from Kavisha. Motors-kamla Nagar, Agra (Dealer of Maruti Udyog Ltd.), Regn. No. UP80 AQ 8580 on 02nd Feb' 2006. On the very next day i.e. 31st July i was facing a problem in Starting of vechiles then i called up the executive of Kavish Motors who entertained me while purchasing the New car and explained him the same problem. But he replied that we are not responsible for any sort of problem but the car is under warranty period of 2+1(one) year thats why i am in a position to file this complaint. I called him up several times but no satisfactorily reply is yet been received. Now the problem is so severe that on one can even sit at the back seat, the car makes noice noise a lot and it is affecting the wheels aswell.The Vechicle has visited the workshop 36 times As prescribed by Kavisha Motors.
                            I had asked Regional Office many times, but the response was not quite well.
                            I had asked mr. Sachin Gupta (territory sales manager) to lookup the matter, instead of looking he just remove the vechicle warranty.kindly look in this matter early.



                            If you please have a look in this matter i will be highly obliged.

                              I have booked a Petrol D zire from the last one month. at the time of the booking it was promised by the Dealer Spectra Motors - Borivili ( East ) that the delivery will take 1 month . also the booking amount is not prescribed by MUL anywhere then why the disparity in acceptance of amounts at various Dealers & cities in India . The delay on delivery is infinite & undisclosed why can't a ISO company like MUL give a defenite date or pay us Interest on the booking amount for the dealyed period . There are no discounts, No Loyalty Bonus, No Accessories this is just pure gundaraaaj & mediocre Monopoly. The Govt. is riding on the demand for the car by harrasing the commom people like us who put their life savings to by so called " Dream Car " . Maruti should stand by their commitment of delivery promised of one month at the time booking.

                              I am B. Natarajan from Chennai. On the 14th of April 2008, I paid Rs 50, 000 as advance to Khivraj Motors, Chennai 600 020 and booked for a ZDI Maruti Swift Dezire. Since they had indicated a 4 month's delivery, I was waiting patiently and I started enquiring from the 5th month on wards.

                              The sales man at the Dealer's just says that there are no cars being released and they have no idea when the supplies will resume. This is simply a pathetic state of affairs. This is the same reply I get every time I ring up the Sales Man. Yesterday I contacted Chennai office of yours and was told that all the executives are busy attending a meeting. Again to-day I contacted the office and again the same reply. This is certainly creating a very poor impression of your much valued company. We know and we can understand if there are any problems and a reply saying that it will take one more month for delivery. But to draw a blank, it is really bad for the company's image. I am sure Mr Suzuki himself may not like this.

                              I shall be grateful, if you could look into this and let me have a reply.The details of my bookiong are given belo.

I am surprise in Khivraj Sales Excutives are not responding to coustomers properly and very surprise to say Sales Manager Mr.Daraneedharan also not intrested to meet the coustomers. They are not mentioning any time of delivery of the vehicle for last 5 months. I hope i have to take some legal action soon.
                              when will this Maruti will increase the production. If you all are taking so much time then please stop launching this new car. first create more units and then sell the cars.

                                I would like to bring to your notice that, I am being facing problems with Maruti Udyog Ltd. for their pathetic service & product sold to me. I bought a Swift Diesel VDi Car on 29th March 07.

                                Incident # 1 - March 07 - Purchase Delivery Issue
                                Complaint # 357421 lodged with Maruti Udyog Ltd in March 07, this was regards to my booking of the car & not providing the booked colour, further delay in giving me the delivery of car. I had to visit their Mumbai Regional Office & write various communications to them.

                                Incident # 2 - June 07 - Black Smoke Problem
                                Complaint # 396359 lodged with Maruti Udyog Ltd in June 07,
                                After the 1st Service the vehicle started giving problem of Black Smoke,
                                20-June 07 gave car to show the problem at spectra Motors vide Job Card JC07005695, They gave back me the car giving in writing on the service Invoice that the diesel used is mixed with Kerosene as such balck smoke, based on that I visited the petrol pump to get the density checked & found no issues with the diesel quality & density.
                                Further again went back to Spectra wherein after 10-15 days they came out with investigation the injector of the car needs to replaced to resolve the black smoke problem and the injectors were replaced by Maruti Udyog. They also suggested me that I don't use Hi-speed/power Diesel for my Car, if so then why Maruti does not state this when the consumers buy the car.

                                Incident # 3 - Paint Mismatch & bad handling of car at Service Centre
                                During the month of Jul-Aug my Car was given to Spectra for minor repair for denting of bumper & minor dent on the running board. While given the car was given for body shop work following problems was faced.
                                1. The colour painted was not as per the original company colour of the car, there was a mismatch.
                                2. The car was dashed near the fuel lid & was delivered to me in the same condition. Further on bringing to their notice it was repaired.
                                3. While washing the car the left mirror was broken.
                                4. The parcel tray was damaged during the body shop work.

                                Incident # 4 - Black Smoke Dec 07
                                Complaint # 533010 lodged with Maruti Udyog In Dec 07 I again faced a problem of Black Smoke, I again showed the car to Spectra Motors & they changed some Coolant hosh pipe(sorry I am not familiar with the technical term) & said that was the reason for black smoke.

                                Incident # 5 Mismatch in Colour & delivered the car without proper testing.
                                Complaint # HT20080403_[protected], In 2nd week of Mar 08 I had given my Car to Spectra Motors for body shop to get my right side rear door dented & painted as there was a minor scratch & dent due to brushing the car by a TATA 608 vehicle while parking, Spectra Motors completed the work, however the colour was not matching with original paint as there was a mismatch in colour, Also while giving the delivery of the car the said door was not fitted properly from inside & also the front bonnet & fender was rough polished.

                                Incident # 6 - Black Smoke Problem Mar 08.
                                Complaint # HT20080403_[protected], Again I gave my Car to Spectra Motors for the Black Smoke Problem, now they again checked the car & further said that there black smoke problem is beacuase of Deisel Quality,

                                In the above scenario, I am really gone mad & frustrated managing all the issue & till date not received a single letter from Maruti Udyog Ltd, irrespective of the fact that I have sent almost 7 full pager letter to them & visited thrice their regional office at Bandra. I am almost having a monthly 4-5 visit to Spectra Motors to get resolution for my Car.

                                I am really not able to understand how can Maruti say that the black smoke problem is due to Diesel quality, if such then the problem should be in all their diesel car, also then why at the start Maruti (1st 2 complaints) had done the earlier repairs & now stating that its diesel problem.

                                Its also incorrect that a company which manufactures Cars can't match the colour which is done by their own service centre, I can understand once but each time you give there is colour mismatch problem, then why should they bring such colour products.

                                I would like to beg to you to get me justice for the kind issue & problems I have faced & a necessary action against Maruti Udyog. I am frustrated with the product & the service Maruti has given

                                I completely agree. I have a swift VDI which I purchased in May 2008. I have done 25000kms till date. I developed serious black smoke problems within the first 500kms. The dealership refuses to do anything about it.
                                I too completely agree to this. problem.I have swift diesel, its also emitting black smoke at 17500km..and got slight decrease in the pick up too and steering slight tight.
                                I noticed it bcuz..i drived my frnds diesel swift...
                                ya i am also having similar problem, but black smoke is not seen but definately there is decrease in pick up

                                MARUTI UDYOG LTD /SWIFT DEISEL VDI — SWIFT DEISEL VDI

                                I have bought a new swift deisel vdi from marui spectra motors and took delivery of the same on 30/06/09 but to my surprise just on the 7th day from the purchase and travelling a mere 150 km the hazard light started flickering automatically, I went to spectra motors borivali east and was told that its a problem with the EMC, there is water inside there and needs to be checked, on the next consequtive day i was told that there is a minute gap from which water is percolating inside from the wind screen and needs to be sealed the whole dash board was removed and the sealing process was done twice or thrice and i had to keep my car with them for 4 days from 08/07/09 to 11/07/09 finally i was told that this thing will not happen again and the car was delivered to me, now again on the 13/07/09 the problem has started, ihad already lodged a complaint with maruti on 11/07/09 but there was no reply from their side, now i again called spectra motors and they are telling me to again keep the car with them they will thoroughly check and repair the fault .I am really not able to understand why i should bear all this, i spoke with the customer care ms . vaishali and asked for replacement of a new car as this the fault of maruti, no quality control has been done but she says that we cannot replace the car we can only repair it, now i feel cheated and am against keeping this car with me, i just want a new car without any problems which is my right, as even if i carry on with this car there is no surety as to that this problem will not arise again . now i want to really fight it out because i am not at fault and still it is i who is suffering, and maruti on the other hand is not bothered to even reply . pls do suggest what can be done in this matter, I am also consulting my advocate regarding the same .
                                I also go through from similar situations, Purchase car form Karnal Moters Karnal, But all in vain, And now I will intimate my problem to Higher authorities or otherwise proceed legally for Justis.

                                  I wish to inform you that I never received call from them for the real status. Inspite of that the people over there did not disclosed their identity and misbehavied with me and bank the phone down.

                                    I have been trying to book a Maruti Swift Dezire VXI from the last few days, and am going through the a harrowing experience with the Dealers. I first went to Pratham Motors at Outer Ring Road to book the car. They refused to take a booking and told me that Maruti has stopped taking booking of Swift Dezire cars. When I put pressure on them they told me that they can take the booking but the delivery would take 9 months. They had 2 weeks back told me that the delivery would take 3 months, which was also long, but I was ready to accept it. But last week they told me that they would be able to deliver in 9 months. I was also surprised by their behavior.

                                    I then called up the Maruti call center and spoke to Jiten, He told me that there was no stop from Maruti’s end on booking for Dezire and the delivery period was much earlier than 3 months. He took my mobile no. and promised me that somebody would be calling me at the earliest. But till now there is no call.

                                    After that I spoke to multiple other dealers in Bangalore for the booking but every body was mentioning that the delivery would take 4 to 6 months. When I spoke to Mr. Anil from RNS Motors, Yesthwantapur. He told me that they could deliver the vehicle in 3 months time, I was relived and asked him to send a person to take the booking immediately. But nobody came for the booking till afternoon. Then I had to call Mr.Anil multiple times. Then at last in the evening he promised that one sales executive would reach my home late in the evening.

                                    At last at 8 PM one Sales Executive from RNS Motors Bomanhalli reaches my home, gives me a price and tells me that there are no discounts and any freebees. I agree to the same and fill the booking form. After filling the form when I was giving him a cheque of Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, he refused to take it and said that the Booking amount for the Swift Dezire is Rs.1, 00, 000/-, which is fixed by Maruti. I asked him to show me documentation to this effect, he was unable to show any documentation. After that I spoke to the Sales Manager, of RNS Motors Bommanhalli and also with Mr. Anil from RNS Motors Yeshwantpur the accept Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, but they FLATLY REFUSED.

                                    After that I also called the Maurti call center again and spoke to Mr. Danish, and asked him if Maruti had fixed the booking amount of Rs.1, 00, 000/- for the Swift Dezire. He told me that Maruti had not fixed any thing of this kind and he would take it up with the concerned authorities. I asked him for the phone nos. of the Regional Manager at Bangalore of his mail id. He refused to give them to me and just gave a email id [protected]@maruti.co.in.

                                    At end of all this experiences I feel very disturbed with the way I was treated by the Maruti dealers. The attitude they have is like they have a monopoly and can take the customers for a ride. My not buying a Maruti car will not make any difference to a big company like Maruti. I just wanted to check with Maruti if this the way the want their dealers to treat customers and claim to be the Winner of J.D.Power Customer Satisfaction awards, year after year.

                                    I had sent the entire above details to the email id provided by the call center and also put in the details in their web site. I got a reply mentioning that the complaint has been sent to the concerned department and they would get back to me. 5 days had passed and there was no reply. So I sent a reminder mail.

                                    Some body then called from the call center and was taking the details when the line got disconnected. He did not bother to call me again after that. This is kind of service we get from the leading Car Manufacturer in India.

                                    Maruti Swift — No timely delivery

                                    Swift Lxi registered on 17th Jan 2008 at Vipul Motors Faridabad. Vipul Motors promised delivery on 1st Feb 2008. Invoice value was deposited on 17th Jan itself. When reached for delivery, Vipul Motors said that no cars are coming from Maruti hence can not deliver. Next delivey date also can not be confirmed. It was shocking and surprising to know at 11th hour that we can not get the car. We needed it for our personal function, which is scheduled for 5th Feb but are in a fix due to this last minute change. I have not seen such unprofessional business working environment at any dealership where they are just helpless & raise their hands in front of customers by giving simple justification that product is not available. This is simply pathatic.
                                    I fully agree with your views Mr. Navin. I really dont know on what basis they are winning the JD Power Customer Satisfaction Award year after year. The only way is that all other manufacturers are still worser than Maruti. But i dont think so. Maruti will be gone if they continue to show this attitude towards the customer for some more time.
                                    I agree with you Navin. I am not getting the car delivery even after loan sanction and balance amount full payment.
                                    I think Maruti will soon be in trouble if it dosent change his attitude towards its customers. Now the customers have lot more options and if i dont get the delivery within one week i am going to take some legal action towards Maruti & its dealer.
                                    I agree with you. I booked Dzire VXi from Anand Motors Lucknow. MR. Alok committed the same shall be delivered in flat 2 weeks. Now when I call him he says the same will take another 25 days. ITS been a harrowing experience with Maruti and their dealers.
                                    I complete agree. I booked Swift Dezire ZDi with Vipul Motors, Gurgaon. They took 25K Advance and promised to deliver the car in 1 month now. Its c.20 days and now they are seeing it may take c.6 month for delivery of car. I feel like take some legal action against them. If someone could help with numbers of senior Maruti officials that would be really great.
                                    This is same thing happening with me.I booked the car on 6th April with Spectra Motors and they told me that the car will be delivered in a months time.Today when I called them they are saying they will deliver in Nov or Dec. This is ridiculous!!!Let us all form a forum and make a complaint againt Maruti and its dealers.

                                    I would like to reassure you all on behalf of Maruti, that Customer Satisfaction is our prime motive and will always be.
                                    Swift Dzire is a classic case of high demand and lean supply. There are capacity constraints we face at our Manesar plant where the Swifts, Dzires and SX4s are made. Ironically, for all models, the supply is lesser than demand. (The petrol Dzire is made lesser than the diesel one, due to greater demand for diesel variant.) The capacity will be increased shortly.

                                    When Dzire was introduced, we stocked the car to flood the market. Thats why customers who booked their cars in the first few days got them quickly. And not because of any market sentiment fabricated by Maruti Suzuki.

                                    I apologize to you all for the incovenience faced. I will do the neseccary at my end, but give us some time. We value each and every customer of ours.

                                    Same in my case the dealer has taken the booking amount of Rs.50, 000/- from me from the last month .
                                    If Maruti has not fixed any booking advance then why such variance at their ealer locations . Secondly why do the customer suffer because of lean supply . Every Company have their back up plans ready & always provide for contingencies . So it does not suit nor is acceptable from such a reputed & winners of various awards Company to take the lame excuse of No Production capacity. Commitments are to be met otherwise the Company needs to pay interest @ 18% p.a. for the dealyed period . Our money also has equal worth & it is hard earned too.
                                    I agree with you all and really surprised that Maruti didn't anticipate this amount booking even after their learning from Swift.There are less booking for Zen, Wagon R due to Swift and these cars started piling up in their stock and to push them out Maruti is following this strategy.Even the dealers when you ask for Swift they start convincing you for Wagon R or Zen.
                                    I wanted to book Dzire but after this kind of experience with the Bangalore dealers I may not got for this car.It may be a great car and thought 3 to 4 months is worth waiting but this kind of attitude from dealer and Maruti is not acceptable.

                                    I am from Bangalore, me too facing the same problem. I booked Swift Dzire Vxi one month back in Bimal motors, White field. They are not even saying the waiting period, atleast some of your people talking about the waiting, I am little bit happy to hear about it. I am really angry about what Maruti is doing for its customers. If they could not produce enough vehicles, then why do they release the model. They could have done it after producing enough vehicles(Dzires especially Vxi) and one thing when we booked Vxi, they told if you choose to take a diesel version then no waiting period. There one of the team leader said that Maruti is planning to promote diesel more than petrol(Dzire). I think there is very less demand for diesel, so they are doing this. Anyway I am very much frustrated listning to the same reasons(low production). If possible the person from Maruti can give us some date instead of telling some reasons.
                                    If the same continues for another 1 or 2 weeks, I have planned to opt for Hundai Verna or Accent.

                                    Just got back from Varun Motors in Hyderabad. The sales guys out there told me that due to problems in the Ventilation system, dzire production has been stopped. And they are not taking any more bookings for the same. Quite shocking, can someone verify this info? They are saying it could be stalled for a couple of months.

                                    Thanks for your reply. However, it does not solve problem and I think Maruti has obligation to give its customer a right (conservative) time frame so that customer don't feel being cheated and they should refund the booking amount with interest and adequate compensation for grievance its caused to customers.

                                    It really not acceptable, capacity problem. Maruti analyst must give heads up before launching this car. When you analyze the your competitors market they how can you miss the volume of orders.

                                    I use to feel proud of thinking of such a company but what I can see now company is filled with corrupted delears charging extra money from people who like to bribe them.. to get the early car ( for marriage ... gift car etc )..

                                    Additionally dealers say Maruti have a policy of not asking the Dealer which model+color they want but sends car based upon the production .. even if dealers dont have cutsomers for that model + color...

                                    I am a very old customer of maruti.
                                    I was planning to book Dzire ZDI and came to know that waiting period is 6 months in bangalore. Only Bimal, Indiranagar asked for a booking amount of 50K and rest other asked for 1 lac. So 1 lac is blocked for 6 months.
                                    Pratham motors outer ring road, bangalore asked me to buy accessories (mandatory) worth 40K incase i buy the car. What a crap man... Dzire is not a great car. Its just a VFM. Still quality levels are down.
                                    Kalyani motors said may be 9 months. I was so angry over him that i literally blasted the sales guy.
                                    He was talking as if he is selling a Mercedes Benz for a paltry 8 lacs.

                                    One good news is that you can get Dzire(any trim) delivered in 1 month if you know some NRI. You will have to give a cheque(dealer dependent) of the NRI account.

                                    Finally i said good bye to Maruti and welcome to Hyundai. Booked a Getz Crdi for 6.53 lacs on road and waiting period is 6 weeks.

                                    I booked a Swift Dezire VDi model on 7th of April. The dealer agreed to deliver it in one month. But now he jus dont have any idea of wen it will be delivered. From wat he says now, i could mak out tat it will take another 4 to 5 months..
                                    Also he mentioned tat there vil be a price hike for all the models. In tat case, i have to give the revised price..
                                    But, wen i booked the car, i accepted for the price at that time. Its not my fault, the delivery got delayed. Then why should i pay the revised price..

I booked Swift Dzire on 6th of April, 08 by paying Rs.1, 00, 000.00 on delivery terms of 1.5 months with Mycar Pvt. Ltd., wakad, PUNE. But now dealer is saying it will take around 6 month to deliver my car. I also wrote to Maruti's site. But no reply. As new car is comming within a month I sold my old car too and now roaming on two wheeler. I dont understand what to do.

                                    Lets try & get to the root of the problem.Who controls the allotments/deliveries once the customer books a new car?Is there a centralised booking/allotment/delivery chart controlled by Maruti (Delhi) to facilitate distribution, or, does Maruti release vehicles to dealers in proportion to the over-all availability & the dealers total bookings?If latter, then does the dealer go by the priority in the bookings (ie date of booking, the amount paid, etc), or, does he have the scope to manipulate & give out-of-turn deliveries to 'preferred' clients? Also, do buyers who have paid the full amount at the time of booking get any priority in deliveries, and, are they vulnerable to price-increases announced later, if any?
                                    I'm also an aggrieved customer, a senior citizen-who sold his Accent to a spot-bidder, and, encashed FDs prematurely to pay the full amount to a Mumbai dealer on 29.3.08, for a Dzr-VDI, and is now severely inconvenienced by the non-delivery of the car & vague assurances being given thereto by the so-called reputed dealer!Could we have some comments from similarly frustrated customers so that we can proceed to do what needs to be done?
                                    I booked Dzire Vdi on 20the March (6 days before the official launch) from M/s Berkelay Auto, Chandigarh but the dealer concerned has failed to give the delivery of vehicle till date and they are not even committing any firm date of delivery.

                                    I Samarth Gaba have booked a maruti Swift on 1st Feb 2008 from Rana Motors Wazirpur Industrial area.
                                    i paid a booking amount of rs 6000.i hv booked through the sale consultant Mr.harwinder Singh .he said it will take a period of one to one and a half month for the delivery of the car.my loan and all the formalties(documents) have been approaved for the Swift car .Afer few days i came to know that maruti launching a new car name Swift Dezire on 27th march.i spoke to the same person about Swift dezire he said that u can give post dated cheques and u will get delivery in 10-15 days.i gave him the cheques on 29th march only. As i hv already booked Swift and the tranferred my bookin towards Swift dezire then he said that you will get the priorty.After 10 days when delivery date comes he called me and said that u will get the delivery after 3 months i agree to him regarding this .he again called me after 5-6 days nd said u again have to make your booking for dezire by sending a mail at [protected]@airtelbroadband.in only then your booking will be accepted .i got frustrated by his behaviour and still i mailed on 15th april.he said your booking period start from 15th april only.i am fool who gave you the cheques on 29th march if he dont wants to book then why he recieved cheques.they think that customer listen according to them only they used to fool around us.why he made his committment that he will defintly deliver the car and you will get the priorty .he always used to say that "all the problem are being made from maruti side only and they not providing the cars to the showroom ".i am totally frustrated and upset regarding this matter.This is ridiculous!!!Let us all form a forum and make a complaint againt Maruti and its dealers.

                                    No dealer is prepared to take booking in Hyderabad. With great difficulty Varun Motors at Begumpet Hyderabad took the booking for Zdi after payment of Rs.100000 on the condition that it would not be claimed any intrest on the deposited amount and the delivery will be after 6 months. After reading the atitudes of the Dealers in diffrent parts of the country it appears that the customers of the Maruthi Suzki left at the mercy of the dealers and this will bring bad reputation to the company though it products aer valuable. Let the company set certain uniformity in policy in dealing with the customers otherwise it will lose ti reputation.

                                    I booked Swift Dzire VXI red colour from Bimal Indira nagar Bangalore on 28 March, i.e. next day of Launch, and till now I didnt get the delivery of vehicle. As per the priority wise I was the first person who booked the swift Dzire VXI red colour. One week back I enquired that when I will get the delivery, Delear told me that they are getting one RED Colour Dzire VXI but thay cant deliver to me because they are delivering it to a different person who booked it on 11-Apr. The reason they are giving that they have received mail from MAruti regional Sales manager that he know this person personally, and deliver this vehicle to him.
                                    Please let me know what should I do?

                                    Strict instructions should be given to their authorities not to pressurise dealers to jump the waiting list which is illegal.

I have booked my Swiftdezire VDI on 3rd April 2008 and my waiting list no. at my dealer millenium motors, pune is 24. I was verbally commited delivery period of 1month, but now hands up from dealer as well as maruti regarding delivery schedule. I have disposed my old Ford Ikon and now without vechicle.
                                    I recieved calls from maruti delhi regarding the feedback and service. They informed me that delivery schedule for Dzire is not more than 45-50 days and if the dealers is committed verbally also, he is binded to meet. my question is how? Guys I am with you all. Every body keep in mind and see that we should not accept the new pricelist in May for our bookings in April as maruti is also not able to meet the committed dates, we should come together.

                                    Looks like whatever Mahesh said is correct...It's been a month since i booked the car in hyderabad...When i called up the dealer yesterday he told me that, there would be a price hike around 10-12k for petrol & 20, 000 for diesel versions in the month of may...Martui would be releasing the next stock only after announcing the price hike...I would say this is a cheap market trick that maruti is playing even though i liked the car...

                                    I join the theme on this thread. MSIL has done a fraud on consumers vis-a-vis delivery of vehicle. Demand exceeding the supply as suggested by Nitish Kaul of Maruti on this thread is a white lie. I booked my Dzire Zdi on 1st day of launch (1st booking) at Mysore town which is 2nd largest MSIL sales city in Karnataka state and now one month after the booking I have no clue about when I will get the delivery. What consumer satisfaction, what high profile mission statements, what consumer committment... all crap. Wake up Maruti... you are making consumer feel like beggars. Feel like being cheated.
                                    Today I had word with South Regional sales Manager sales manager Mr. Ram Suresh and I narrate the entire incident that what happened with me. He told me that he will look into the issue and will let me know. So I am eagerly waiting for his response. If nothing is going to happen I will knock the consumer court door. Its not just 10-12K bucks, its related to customer satisfaction, who all are suffering just because of delears and others commitment.
                                    Guys I am also sailing in the same boat. I booked Swift ZXi on 15th Feb and due to issues with its delivery I changed the booking to DZire ZXi in mid-March... even before the launch. Till today there is no committment from Maruti about delivery. The local Maruti office is of no help... nothing to blame the dealer as local Maruti guys have confirmed that dealers don't have any control on supply. Its Maruti who decides which vehicles to be given to each dealer.
                                    With great hope after reading this blog, I have written email to Nitin Kaul and eagerly awaiting his reply. Hope to hear from him soon...

                                    my verdict: maruti has misjudged the demand and supply again. This is leading customers to go to other brands like Hyundai and Chevy whose cars are equally good and competitive.
                                    All this eye washing stunt from Maruti- Suzuki is a to make more money. They are going to release the cars within next 6 weeks, Only after may 1st BY INCREASING THE PRICE. They have got enough booking prices with the current price tag. They are going to deliver with the increased price.
                                    For more than 60% of the people booked this car on the basis of the low price. Once Maruti- Suzuki increase the price many people wont take the delivery as there are many better cars in market for that price. so expect the delivery within next one month.
                                    This is a One of the Un-Ethical Business practice made Popular by MarutiSuzuki. Anybody can under stand why the company is doing this.. In simple terms
                                    They have released the car With the price which is competent with the rivals now the game plan for the company is to try to create the fear among the buyers by telling them about long waiting time for delivery so that the buyer will get scared and book it immediately fearing further delays. So now they have enough bookings and they will increase the price and charge the buyer with the extra price.
                                    The consumer will develop some feeling for the car after booking the vehicle. Buyer will just pay the extra price and take the delivery of the car.
                                    If the company really had an ethical way of doing business and they really had capacity constraint they would have given the statement in the public about the delivery issues. They wouldn’t have kept the consumer in the dark.
                                    When they can tell the media that they are going to increase the price why cant they inform the dealer to book the vehicle with the new price?
                                    Is MarutiSUzuki is listening. I am damn sure they are tracking this sheet..
                                    So the objective of the company is clear... I am referring to the news that they are going to increase the price by 20K
                                    The just want to cheat the consumer(buyer) by quoting the different price while booking and selling it @ more price.

                                    Maruti Swift Dzire — unfair trade practice & unscrupulous exploitation

                                    i had read about dezire. the car was launched on 25.03.2008. That car is mannufactured in mansar plant. from the MUL officials answers it is gathered that mansar plant is producing sx4 & swift & dzire capacity of 1.60 lakhs cars a year. capacity under increase process. demand is more than supply.

                                    that i had booked with kiran motors vadodara on 8.04.2008 that as per information 60 cars are booked till date with them. dealer states that MUL is short supplying. That no car mannufacturer generally launches the car without sufficent production in process or on stock yard. no stock details. web reports states that about 6000 cars are sold up to 10.04.2008 highest sales by any car.

                                    that MUL plans price hike in may first week on a reason of increased iron prices.

                                    dealer had not given wait list number. on demand for list no list supplied. that wait list no was given after long and continous folow up no further details about category list and sub color category list not given, no information about car supply given, no information about cars delivered given. every acts suspicious. consumers voice not taken seriously dealer had called on customers to cancel the bookings and get the wait list no. certain bookings cancelled their wait list no, continues.
                                    MUL toll free No. & customer care was contacted no good response no information called for given further details about category wise production/stock details and sub color category production/stock not given, no information about car supply given, no information about cars delivered given nor the status about reasons for sufficient non supply in gujarat given MUL told to contact Gujarat RO. when called no satisfactory rely except "we will look in to matter" nothing was done except hollow assuarances.
                                    consumer is king but it is not felt by MUL.
                                    MUL is attepting hoarding of cars for price hike. unfair trade practice and unscruplous exploitation

                                    I don't see Mr Nitish Kaul of Maruti coming back on this thread with new excuse or funda for the cruel joke that his company is doing on gullible customers. I am as such annoyed with delayed uncertain delivery; and now if they ask me to pay more... may be I will break a glass panel or two on delaer' shop.
                                    I sent email to Mr. Nitish Kaul after looking at his response and I felt he would be the responsible person to reply to me. Unfortunately so far I neither received any "Read receipt" nor "Reply".

                                    In my personal opinion after running around for more than 2 months, I strongly feel that this crunch is created by Maruti and delaers are also helpless. There is no point in blaming the dealers. (Having said that... there are some dealers who can make the vehicle available with some special arrangements!)

                                    As per the dealer Maruti has not made any promise about the delivery and he is suggesting me if I can not wait further, I should compromise on Model or Varient. (At least I could see some committment now that they will arrange some vehicle for me:-)

                                    So, if Mr. Nitish is listening... please advise what shall I do?
                                    Same case for me. I have booked ZXI on Apr 11th and after few days, they told it will take 9 months to deliver. I was told VXI will be available within a month. After some wait, finally changed by booking to VXI. After that I am still waiting to hear from them about my delivery date confirmation.
                                    I have booked Swift Dzire Vxi (Red) from kothari wheels, Pune on first day of its launch. I was promised to get the delivery within a month. Now its more than a month, the car is not yet delivered and they are not even commiting when it will be deliverd. What the dealer say is, there is production delay with Red color Swift Dzire Vxi for delaying the delivery. If thats the case, then how could i see red color dzires on the road? Eventhough booking the car on its first day launch, howcome the delivery is not happenning?

                                    Hi all, Im a maruti customer from past 6years and all my relatives and friends are loyal to maruti, after I saw Dzire thought of booking one but looking at the attitude of dealers in bangalore now I have a second thought of going to hyundai or tata. losing few customers will not make much of a difference to maruti but word of mouth will definitely affect.
                                    with the kind of competition in car market in todays world maruti has taken a wrong step where customers have many other options.
                                    Given a chance I would always prefer to remain a maruti customer but not with such attitude and bad customer experience.

                                    The delivery time of Dzire is really disgusting especially when other companies like Hyundai, Ford n Honda are ready to deliver cars within 2 weeks that too for any color!

                                    I booked a Dzire on April 14th in Chennai's ABT with an advance on 5K and was promised delivery on May 7th. But a week before got a letter stating that the delivery of the vehicle would take another 3-4 months!

                                    Hope Maruti ensures that the dealers are giving a fair deal to the customers and are not playing around with the allocated cars by any chance...

                                    Constant updates from Maruti officials [like Nitish's (nitish.[protected]@maruti.co.in) post ] helps the customers cause and if not anything else, atleast gives some confidence on Maruti...

                                    With lots of hope I wote emails to all Maruti email id's mentioned in this website and also to "[protected]@maruti.co.in" which is the official contact email id for customers. There is no reply from these ids yet, however I received the "Can not deliver" message from the server! Looks like Maruti has changed the email id's or... simply rejecting emails!

                                    Message received said.. " Deferred: Connection timed out with mulgw.maruti.co.in.
                                    Message could not be delivered for 3 days Message will be deleted from queue"
                                    Well guys ... i am just abt to right the same stuff but i am really pissed off the way Maruti is handling their customers. I had the same harrowing time since March 30th when I went for booking Swift Dzire VXi (Beige Color).
                                    I enquired at 5-6 dealerships in South Delhi at that time and all of them were giving waiting period of atleast 3-4 months.
                                    Finally, I was able to find a dealer M/s APRA Autos in Mahipalpur which promised the delivery within 1 month. I happily booked the car there and then and gave an adavance amount of Rs. 10, 000 to secure my booking.
                                    I was told at that time that mine was among the first bookings done for petrol models by the dealership.
                                    But since then there is no answer or confirmation regarding the delivery either from the dealer or from Maruti. Repeated calls to the Sales Agent fetches you the same answer that there are no cars coming from factory for the past 15-16 days and at the moment they cant do anything but wait. I am just bucked up listening to such frustating excuses again and again.

                                    I ask the Maruti people that is this a way the customer is treated? Dealer or Maruti even doesn't have a courtsey to call up and keep their customers updated about the status in case of delays or problems. At the end of it, it is the customers who are at the receiving end.

                                    After going through all this and I dont know for how much time more till the car is delivered, my trust on Maruti has really shaken up. After going through such a pathetic Customer Service, I seriously have reservations going with Maruti Cars again even if the product is good.
                                    You know something guys, the problem is we want to buy dzire. And if you ask me, how i want to protest---- simply DO NOT BUY IT even more tell everyone you know DO NOT GO FOR Dzire. let maruti people use those cars.

                                    I am from Bhubaneswar. I had booked a Maruti Swift Dzire VXI Model (Clear Beige color) on the 10th of April. I was told that if I paid the full amount then I would get the vehicle by the 17th of April. So I had paid the full amount of Rs 526, 000.Intrestingly this assurance was given by Maruti Officials in the sales division. But that date seems to be going further and further away. At this present moment i am told that I would get the vehicle only by 25th May. When i read what other people are facing its makes me sure that maruti is taking us for a ride. The toll free number is the a waste so is the customer care. Even the top managers here are unable to give a correct answer. I am thinking of taking maruti to the court and suing maruti for mental agony and torture. After reading about ur cases i feel that Maruti will pay through the nose if we all file the case. I am also sending this request to CNN IBN News Channel. Its High time this should be made public.
                                    Do tell me as to what I am planning to do is right or wrong.

                                    With this fiasco of Dzire... believe you me, you will not get these valuable customers back.. I myself has been driving maruti for last 7 years now & had booked Dezire on the day 4 of launch, moreover the dealer took my existing maruti car under exchange scheme & for the last 2 months now i am without a car.

In spite of repeated efforts, we have not been able to contact you, as we are invariably told by the receptionist that you are out on dealer visit.The vehicle was booked by me on 30th march 08.Though I have made full payment for the vehicle amounting to Rs.5, 26, 495(excluding insurance) to your dealer competent automobiles on 11.4.08 and the amount has been debited to my account on 15.4.08 yet the delivery is not being made to me in spite of repeated visits contrary to the assurance that was made at the time of payment that the delivery shall be made a soon as the full cost of the vehicle is credited to their account.
                                    You are therefore requested to look into the matter so that I am not put to any more inconvenience and harassment by the dealer.

                                    Wonder how the hell is Maruti Suzuki surviving in these times. I really must say they have very poor competitors who still can't seem to get their own act together.
                                    I would have gone for any other car had I had a similar option.

                                    Maruti has a good product.. but is the pits in terms of handling customers ... wonder how they still manage to win customer service awards. Pre-sales is really bad.

                                    I booked the DZIRE on 28th March 2008 from Rana Motors, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. I called several times to the Dealers to know the priority No and possible date to get the vehicles. But their reply were simply I will call back.I was promised to get the vehicle within 2 months. it is approx. 1 month 12 days. During summer & Winter vacation every body is planning to go some where. I approached to my dealer before two days back with my querry that I am out of India from 2nd June, If in the mean time my consignment of vehicle matured how I will get after return from Abroad. I have been sanctioned loan from nationised bank 1 month back.Why Dealers and Maruti Udyog Ltd is not providing Priority list on their Website. How the persons registered after me and got the vehicles. Reason there off. May I know when I will get the Vehicles and my Priority No.
                                    One more funniest thing is, i browsed to marutidzire.com, to post this so called "delay in delivery" process under "Testimonials" section...I blasted them with all sorts of comments and my Testimonial never appeared on the site...

                                    Same is the case here. On April-11 i went to delears Varun and Saboo in Hyderabad. They told me booking is stopped because of Maruthi's less distribution of cars to them. Also they told booking will reopen in three months. After a month, Yesterday i contacted again these delears and now they are telling it will take more than 4 months to take the bookings.

                                    The date i booked DZire VDi was April 04, 2008. I was told that the vehicle will take at the maximum of a month to reach me.

                                    It has well been beyond a month. The entire amount has been credited by the bank to the dealer. There is absolutely no confirmation on when the car will be delivered. The prestigious awards that you claim to win year on year are nothing but a flash of hoax. I am totally convinced. Afterall, you have been in business for countably long years and predicting supply-demand and maintaining a good SCM should be your key competency.

                                    One Mr. Nitish (allegedly Zonal Manager- North India) has issued a statement at http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/maruti-swift-dzire-c42203.html


                                    The first incident of 'fraud' surfaced when i evaluated the car via multiple dealers to get the exact on-road-know-how.
                                    The Batras @ Faridabad asked for a Rs. 25, 000 premium to deliver the car in flat 10 days. Funnily, they were willing to negotiate. The Vipuls @ Faridabad told me on March 27, 2008 that they had received 113 booking by that evening. Two days and 113 booking in Faridabad alone is a huge number. I hope you are in sync with me on this. The current dealer proudly printed on my booking documents that the delivery date was non commital.

                                    In the growing economy where the customer decides the fate of any corporate, i fail to understand how does Maruti manage to sideline the same. Moreso, win awards to add to the agony.

                                    Now imagine the scenario wherein, because of your known (your dealers included) practises, the media is involved with a bunch of consumer forum complaints (http://dzireproblems.blogspot.com/), would you then be able to correct your image in the market ?

                                    Would you be able to face the emarassment if the court asked you to publicly share the delivery timelines of the vehicles and the same applied to your dealers ? Would your efficient dealer managers be able to answer phone calls then ?

                                    I believe you follow multiple 'scientific' methods in your production and dealer management viz. SAP / ISO 9001:2000 / TS 16949 : 2002etc.

                                    If your performance is so pathetic that you cannot meet the demands, should you not be stripped off your certificates for the above. Ofcourse SAP system remains your Enterprise Planning tool, if any. I am forced to believe that the Sales Managers have been planning using Excel sheets as to how they can create a fraudulent requirement sheet to cheat the customers and help the Maruti Dealerships earn money.

                                    Why does an exhaustive system like SAP not offer you a small portal link that enables users to track their car bookings via the booking number. You sell probably 100000 cars / year (approximated fig). Airlines sell as many tickets in one month or less. They are able to do it.
                                    Where is the transparency that any customer expects of you ?

                                    My humble request to you is to get involved NOW. Talk to customers, tell them when they will get returns for their money and why you are still best while being a Desi company. Incentivise them for being loyalists. Pay their interest money, its their right.

                                    You may definitely choose not to respond or respond in a way that doesnt describe the tangible gains.

                                    Its purely your perogerative now.

                                    I also have faced similar problem. We have deposited Rs. 50K as the booking amount on the day after the launch and were assured that the vehicle will be delivered in 3 weeks time. However, after the intial hype, Maruti has sent very few vehicles to the dealers and do not give any update to them. The dealers now say that the delivery can be anything upto 9 months even for those who have booked the vehicle in Mar 08. There is no flow of information from Maruti. When you get a call from the Maruti call centre you will observe that the line gets disconnected when you start discussing the delivery. It is deliberately done by Maruti because I have experienced it atleast 6 times. It is rumoured that the vehicle has a major problem with the rear shock-ups and that is why the company is not supplying the cars to the dealers. The plea about the demand being more than the supply is complete crap, because those who have booked in Mar 08 have also not received the car. The number of cars seen on the roads also do not justify the claim by Maruti that they are supplying in enough numbers to the dealers. In fact after the intial supply of 20-30 cars immediately after the launch in Mar 08, Maruti has not delivered a single car to the dealers.
                                    All the above scream for clarity/transparency on bookings
                                    1. Correct position of delivery
                                    2. System of allotment to customers.
                                    3. What is the amount fixed by Maruti for Booking. Will interest be paid to customers for this amount since the amount has been paid to the Dealer?
                                    4. Will the price increase because of the Demand?
                                    When I went to have a look at Dzire and Test drive it, the Delivery period was 3 months, 5 days later when I booked, the waiting period was 6 months.
                                    Can these complaints be jointly clubbed and presented to MRTPC???
                                    My sincere suggestion is to cancel the booking for DZire, let Maruti guys fix all technical issues and enjoy the vehicle. There are lots of good options present in the market.

                                    Looks like Maruti has either changed all its email id's or set the servers to send false bounce messages to the emails sent to them. I am surprised to see how the same email id's which worked till a month back are now invalid!
                                    Guys, I am also thinking to cancel my DZire booking...To Hell with Maruti...If we are ready to spend 1-1.5 lakh rupees more, we have other options like Verna & Fiesta that we are getting at the cost of Zxi or Zdi versions of DZire...

                                    I agree with all the complaints on account of being in a similar situation. I booked the Dzire VXi on 2-Apr-07 and was told 3 months. However, no confirmation has been provided till date.

                                    It is really agonizing to wait just for getting to know a confirmation on delivery date.

                                    It would be highly reassuring to get news from Maruti's front on the same. Pls involve me in case of a petition being sent to Maruti.

                                    I have booked the Dzire Vxi on 2nd Apr 08, and like lots of other people, waiting and hoping that the delivery happens soon. The delivery time promised to me was 4 to 6 week, but recently have been informed that it could take 2 more months. To add to misery, have sold my old vehicle to their 'True Value' section as exchange.
                                    Maruti should really be pressurised to give a make shift vehicle, from their used car section to all Dzire customers waiting for delivery. This way atleast some o[censored]s who are left without a vehicle wont have to go through the everyday hassle of not a having car.
                                    The comany should really put under pressure via the press or court... or any other way where customers have a right to demand when being inconvenienced by reputed companies such as Maruti.
                                    After all, Maruti has always boasted of being No 1 in customer service & satisfaction, and won awards for it too...
                                    Was it really so difficult to estimate an approximate number of how many Dzires would need to be produced, especiallyafter the huge success of the Swift!

                                    i have booked maruti swift desire VDI on 29.03.08 with M/s Berkely Automobiles, Chandigarh. it is requested please let me know the date of delivery as your dealer is not in a position to give fix date of delivery. early reply is solicated.
                                    I booked maruti Dzire Vxi on 1st April 2008 through Rohan Motors, Noida. This was a corporate booking and as i am entitled for a company car. These are normally priority bookings. The dealer confirmed the delivery of the car within 15 days. Today it is 15 days and plus a month more... but no confirmation from the dealer.

                                    I wrote to Maruti's customer care as well, but the response i received from them was not convincing at all, attached below.
                                    "Thank you for your interest shown in Maruti Suzuki product.
                                    We regret the inconvenience caused to you.

                                    We wish to inform you that the response to the SWIFT DZIRE has been quite overwhelming. Unfortunately, some deliveries are talking longer than you may have expected.

                                    We thank you for making the SWIFT DZIRE such a resounding success. Let us assure you that we are doing all that is needed to shorten the waiting period. Though production has been increased significantly, the demand for both our Diesel and Petrol versions still exceeds our supply. We’re working on it to match it.

                                    We again sincerely apologize for the same and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

                                    We are immediately forwarding your Complaint to the concerned department. You will hear from us soon.

                                    Please feel free to revert in case of any query or clarification."

                                    Did not hear from them again ! They say that demand is high, but i can hardly see any Dzire on the road. There surely is some technical fault with the car which the company is trying to hide, to save them from this embarresment.

                                    I also went to the dealer today, the sales person showed me a list with the bookings and confirmed that mine was on top of that list, and i shud get the delivery surely by end of this month. But after reading the other messages i don't beleive it now.

                                    Fraud. Unethical. Thats only way one can explain melady of Dzire delivery. Upto 9 months which is nothing but shocking. If you are first on the block for booking, you wait less... 4 months. And thats told to you 45 days after you booked.

                                    So what we have on this blog are all frustrated people cursing Maruti in unison. Cancelling booking will make no difference to Maruti's kitty. We need some way by which all these frustrated customers should be able to pool our complaints together and may be file some kind of common consumer forum complaint and cause serious damage to Maruti's reputation by bringing Dzire fiasco in public. I don't know how to do it, but you and me cursing Maruti will not help. Maruti needs to be brought on its feet by massive negative publicity through court cases and media attention. I am game for this cause if someone can suggest how to go about it.

                                    Today I had decided that I would not wait fot 6 months for the Maruti Dzire and cancel the booking.The dealer now tells that they will take 15 days to give my payment back and there will be some cancellation fees.This is simply ridiculuos, tif he customer wants to cancel the car then you harrass him, if he tells you to deliver then you tell him its 6 months, then you also tell him to bear the increase in cost after booking the car...C'mon Maruti and its dealers do you think that the customers are on your mercy?

                                    I have even sent a mail to the Chairman of Maruti Suzuki, Mr. R.C.Bhargava (rc.[protected]@maruti.co.in), but there is no response. It seems Maruti is had decided not to react to all the complaints mail sent by the customers. THEY DONT CARE... THAT IS THE ATITUDE OF MARUTI AND ITS DEALERS.

Lets fight togeather and teach MUL a lesson, forget if we do not get the car we would have better options and what ever happens it happens good. I leart from the internal sources of MUL that the design of Dzire has critical problems on ventilation, and the chassi is not good enough for the sedan model, Infact they have not changed the chassi or the shocks of swift and dzire MUL have some how got the approval for the design and started the production at this point of time they cannot accept there mistake so they are making all these supply and demand dramas. God save the customers who have brought the first cars. I think we need to wait for some more time to take a proper review on this car and put our hard earned money

                                    The news is out and fraud is complete. MSIL increased prices ranging from Rs.1, 000 onwards. Highest price hike of Rs.18, 000 is reserved for Swift Dzire. Here is the game; MSIL launches the car at an "introductory" price, have all and sundary book the car, including like me, in fact I am the bigger because mine is the first booking in 2nd largest town of Karnataka, then they don't deliver even one car (I am still waiting) and now they take back that introductory price and here you get the book in you bum. I am waiting for decent options to kick Maruti cars out of my parking lot. Shame.
                                    And mind you, the highest price rise is reserved for Swift Dzire (Rs.18, 000). Even bigger car SX4 hike is limited to Rs.9, 000. And Vitar price rise = 0 because it doesn't sell. What a dirty game by MSIL. I feel shameful that I remained loyal to this company with 7 cars in last 7 years.

                                    Hyundai Accent is awesome when compared to maruti products.

                                    Hyundai Accent is a godo choice if you are looking for an alternate around the same price-range of Dzire.

                                    Thought people say Accent wud be phased out, still its the best in its category in terms of looks, style and track-record! And Accent advertisements are back again proving that Hyundai is very much in the race for entry level Sedan with its successful Accent...

                                    The patna ICICI Main Branch, Exibition Road do not have a land line number even the Manager.They all have their personal mobile number, that is for thier personal use they don't give the mobiles number to any one.Just imagine Bank without any contact numbers.

                                      I bought your WagonR Duo version in Nov.06, car no. is MH 04 CT 6343, I was facing a gear problem from the day i bought the car.I just asked the dealer "Navneet Motors" in thane regarding this problem & they said that since its a new car the gear will become smooth after 1st service, thus i didn't bothered about it but after 1st service ie. after 6 months the problem was the same. At that time the personnel at service station "Sterling motor garage" in thane said that it will take a month or two for the gear to become smooth.But the result was the same.The problem was still not solved.During that time my Gear box was hit by some stone & there was leakage of gear oil.Due to this i replaced the whole gear box from service station and they said that after replacement your gear problem will get solved.For some time the gear was soomth but after sometime it was in same position.Due to this my gaurantee period got over but the problem is the same.Now the service station personnel says that its a genetic problem in all your new Wagon R's & i m just frustated regarding your service.I bought the car only because of the name Maruti but i never thought the car would be such a problem.
                                      Please help me regarding this problem.Thanking you in anticipation of your work.please help me as fast as possible.

                                        I had booked an Alto Lxi (C.Blue) on 12.06.2007 by paying a booking amount of Rs. 20000=00 and arranged finance from Axis Bank for Rs. 200000=00. The rest amount was to be paid on the date of delivery 20.06.2007. The sales staff of the Bhubaneswar dealer Narayani Motors showed me a particular car as ex-stock and promised me to get it readied by the delivery date by fitting some choice accessories that I had ordered and also getting the bumpers body coloured and windows filmed. They even mentioned the chassis no on the booking form and put a SOLD sticker on the said car. They had assured me the best of service with regards to delivery.
                                        Throughout the waiting period, that is from the date of booking till the date of delivery, no one from the dealer end did ever call me up. Rather when I phoned the sales executive, I was informed that the car was being readied and the work was in progress.
                                        At 10 AM on 19.06.2007, one day prior to the date of delivery, I visited the showroom to check the exact status of delivery and to settle the billing process in advance. To my surprise, the said car that I had booked was not there. On enquiry, I was promptly assured that the car was being readied in the workshop that is a few miles away from the showroom. When I expressed my doubt, I was assured by the sales staff that included the sales executive, the team leader as well as personnels holding responsible positions such as the SALES MANAGER and even the GENERAL MANAGER. I was assured by all of them to come the next day and take delivery of the car. However I insisted to stay back and have a look at the said car but I was not entertained. I kept on waiting the whole day till late in the afternoon for my car to arrive from the workshop. I was sure that they have cheated me by having sold the car to somebody else and wanted me to wait for a few days more for another vehicle. When I objected to such breach of trust and wanted a refund of my booking amount the Sales Manager threatened me and said "Do whatever you can." I was literally driven out of the showroom in the evening.
                                        I wrote to MUL regarding the unfair practices of their dealer but all my complaints seemed to fall on deaf ears. MUL in its reply bluntly avoided the main issue and said that as per their information the booking amount has been returned to me. Finding no other way I approached the Consumer Redressal Forum and the case is sub-judice in the State Forum. I was cheated and humiliated throughout the process and as a result have lost the car as well as my money. What surprises me is the audacity of MUL and the dealer Narayani Motors to fight the case as if whatever they have done to me was legal, ethical and humane. Till date, they have retained my money and have not returned to me. As a result, I have a few queries in mind -
                                        Why I was not delivered the car that I had booked?
                                        Why I was not informed by the sales staff correctly about the status of my booked car?
                                        Why I was humiliated and harrassed?
                                        What for had I given them the money if it was not meant for booking the car?
                                        Why I was not refunded my booking amount immediately?
                                        Why is MUL silent on the issue and conducted itself in a careless and monopolistic way?
                                        Should this conduct (not delivering the booked car) not be considered as UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICE?
                                        Is this why MUL blows its own trumpet of being the no.1 in customer satisfaction?
                                        Why has the dealer retained my money and fighting as if it has no intention of returning it?
                                        I guess I am not the first one and not the only one who has undergone such humiliation. There might be many more who have preferred to remain silent on the issue. But is it not our right to raise voice against such malpractice and inhuman attitude by such big organisations?
                                        Maruti Udyog Ltd. and Narayani Motors have blatantly violated consumer rights and need to be bound by statute.

                                        Maruti Suzuki — False info and humiliation to customer

                                        We walked into RNS motors, Tumkur road, Bangalore with intention of buying a car( ALto, wagon R or Swift ).Mean time we had Maruti 800 which we want to get it exchanged for new one. The concerned executive did everything right till we decided and frozen on the model. mean time we sold our car to same truevalue outlet and car was valued at Rs 45000/+ rs 10000/- ( exchange bonus ). It may be noted, our Rs 55000/- was with the dealership only. The executive told us to get the DD and she will raise the invoice. My wife working in public sector bank applied for loan and as the executive promised that she can raise invoice only if it is before end of the month, my wife requested the staff and get the DD next day. in between, To get the DD my wife was suppose to submit, Receipt of Truevalue which the executive promised to deliver at my work place. But inspite of my waiting for 3-4 hrs, the executive never turned up but during the whole duration kept on promising she will come( that too, my wife was calling her ). my was totally desperate and frustrated . My wife only manged to arrange for all papers and got the DD ready. when the same was communicated to executive she told she cannot raise the invoice and ask her GM. The gentleman never bothered to listen about our concern and he simply replied he cannot make the invoice.
                                        My question is : whether dealer dont take the ownership of acts of their executives.
                                        There was no need for the dealership to ask us to raise the DD ( taken under loan ) when they can not deliveror raise the invoice that too our Rs 55000/- is with them.
                                        The gentleman ( GM sales ) never try to understand the humilation we have undergone and we are in fix as DD is already taken in the dealers name, and to cancel my wife has to undergo lot of procedures.
                                        The dealership is taking the advantage of the situation and not responding to our grivence.
                                        request this forum, to suggest methods and means of handling this, customer humilation by this dealership.
                                        If parties has writing somthing is correct then actual booking price + interest is to be retained by the party it is my request to Narayani Motors. Because Narayani Motors is a big Ltd. farm. So, this type of problem not occure in future .

                                        This is true, let us lodge police complaint againt this Bald man sitting as IN TRUE VALUE Narayani Motors.

                                        My advise to all you people out there to go and purchase Maruti vehicles from nearby Cuttack.If at cuttack its all the same kind of attitude then you can always try at Orbit, Rourkela.This one is the highest selling maruti dealer in orissa and people from far off balasore and baripada do purchase from this dealership.Even i was stunned when i heard this till the time when i got my new Astar.Till now even the sales team as well as the manager call every month or two to know the performance of the car as well as they will inform about all the free service checks and all.Now this is called marketing and its building up the relationship with the customers.My doubts got cleared that why this particular showroom is highest seller of maruti cars in orissa.

                                        I am extremely dissatisfied with the approach of your sales, show room persons. They are talking in an absolutely abruptly manner, no gratitude towards customers need or query. I was suggested by many of my friends not to go with Maruti for a vehicle of worth Rs.10L(Aprx), but SX4 ZDI was my choice. The dream of owning a new SX4 has turned in to a nightmare for me. Sorry to say but such attitude of your showroom/company persons will lead you to remain a small car seller only. My next car will never be a Maruti Suzuki.
                                        I purchased a second hand Zen Estilo on August/2012 bearing Registration No.OR-02-AP/8338 from Maruti true value, CRPF square, Bhubaneswar for Rs.180000/- with instant payment. But to my utter disgrace neither the ownership has been changed nor the company paid me the money receipt . The Manager Sales Sri Sandeep Mohanty assured me of transferring the ownership within a week of payment but has failed to do the needful. Now, Sri Sandeep mohanty is no more in the job, and the Person in charge is Sri Ranjan a new incumbent who also assured me of the same but could not succeed in his job.                                         I had a bitter experience with true value, Narayani Motors, BBSR.It took nearly four months to transfer the ownership papers of ESTILO car in spite of repeated personal visits, phone calls etc...The management is so callous, may GOD bless the organization...Dr Ashok Kumar Das, BBSR
