I have performed journey on 31.01.2016 through Meru Genie from Yamuna Vihar, Delhi – 110 053 to T-3, Indira Gandhi Airport, New Delhi. I have received a bill on my e-mail ([protected]@yahoo.co.in) in which the place of dropping mentioned as Dwarka whereas I ended my journey at T-3 International Airport. I made a repeated request to Meru Genie but yet they have not supplied corrected bill of Rs.664/- in respect of journey already performed on 31.01.2016 at 3.10 a.m.

    I had booked meru cab on 14th of january 2016 to catch a train at 11pm.I got the booking confirmation and 20 minutes before the scheduled departure i was messaged the details of the driver.After five minutes of receiving the message i was contacted by the driver and he said he cant come.I was aghast as at that time i could not have got any other conveyance especially for females travelling alone.So called the meru cabs again and they said another cab would be arranged in 15 minutes and again i was messaged the details of driver.the driver called up asked about pick up location but never turned up..when meru cabs was again contacted they expressed their helplessness.Had they told me in the evening iteslf i would have made some other arrangement.But these shameless people would never understand what it is like missing your family functions and missing trains.It had to go through mental stress and financial loss to which they were obviously indifferent.Can anybody tell me what would be the procedure to take legal action against them?

      Bill was not generated after completion of journey in App. No email sent either. On calling customer care after hanging for 20 minutes says customer went away with out paying when my parents paid due bill Rs.180. Driver was trying to overcharge Rs. 420. The faulty app, customer care service and harassment of customer when my senior citizen parents had a train to catch . I booked a cab and this is what meru the great gave us as a service. Very pathetic indeed

        There has been debit of INR 300 thrice for my Paytm Wallet by Meru Cabs during Jan 12 & Jan 13th 2016. I have raised several complaints to their customer care but no solution provided. VERY WORST CUSTOMER CARE

        I have sent emails to [protected]@merucabs.com but no response till date. I have sent Paytm Screen shots also to them. Till date; I am making a follow up call with them daily and every time they are promosing that it can be resolved in 24 hours.

        Dont Know when that 24 Hrs will come?

        I never used Meru Cabs in the last one month? But howcome they deducted INR 300 thrice??

          With ref to above booking number Payment was not deducted from Wallet and I was asked to pay in cash. (See below communication from old complain)

          For the same I've posted the complain on 22-Nov-2015

          Once the amount paid in cash and matter sorted out on 26-Nov-2016 after which only My ID Was open to book the cab (though mistake from Meru I've suffered)

          Again on 22-Jan-2016 Amount of 1114 Rs deducted from Paytm wallet for Booking number 45775045... If amount was already paid in cash why again it was deducted??

          Also on complaint to customer care on 25-Jan-2016 I was confirmed to get this amount back in wallet in next 2 working days i.e. 29-Jan-2016. I've not received my amount back yet. (I've recorded calls available with me as a proof to go to legal way as you can not charge two time for the same thing)

          Please help me on the same along with daily interest on my amount and I would like to have 10000 Rs amount for mental stress which I've got because of Meru.

          on 25-Jan-2016 I called to Meru Cab for 2 times: 11:13 and 12:38

          in 12:38 Call with Ms Asha from Customer Relations department I got following commitments:
          - Restart your app and you will be able to book your cab though problem is there from Meru Side (Which till date am unable to book)
          - I will get my amount back in 2 working days i.e. 28-Jan-2016 (Till date I have not received)

          On 30-Jan-2016 I had conversation with Team meru on above subject:
          - 14:25 for 15 Mins 27 Seconds with (Emp Id: ACE 4996)
          - 14:58 for 5 Mins 35 Seconds with Ms Harpreet - Customer Relations
          - 16:21 for 13 Mins 18 Seconds with Mr Devang - Customer Relations (Emp Id: 2532)

          Whole story I have repeated again with 3 people today also... Still they are not able to refund my amount...disgusting

              Booking ID:46573281.i had booked this cab 2 days prior to the journey. Also received the confirmation of booking with the driver and cab details. When i tried reaching the driver since he did not arrive till 15 mins after the booking time..that cell number was unavailable. When i called the call center they said no cab is available in this area and so they cancelled the trip.They never even bothered to inform about anything due to which lots of inconvenience caused since we had to book a local cab paying extra amount as that was a last min booking and also got late to family function due to this.I was booking meru for the first time and would never use this again due to disappointing service.

                No receipt for a booking

The application shows the bill receipt at the end of the journey but I can't receive it through email.(I tried generate receipt option also) So I decided to call Chennai customer care. I have have called them for more than 4 times. Each time they would a give reply that it would be generated in 5 mins or it will generated in 48 hours till now I haven't received the receipt.                 Dear Sir Madam, Pls note I faced a loss of Rs: 8000, due to Meru accepted booking for 6.30 PM and picked up me at 7.05 PM with inexperienced driver caused me to miss the flight, below are the detailed information of my complaint, - My Meru booking Ref:[protected] Nov 2015 at 5.49 Pm) - Booking accepted for requested time 6.30 PM at pick-up location Lingarajapuram banglore, - Recvd drvr details with cell no [protected], - No [protected] was not reachable, - Chauffeur called me from diff no [protected] at 6.10 PM mentioned he is at Bangalore MG road and will reach location at 6.30, I also gave him direction and advised to use the map on the pick up location given in booking to reach easily, after repeated ph calls, not answered (may be driving), Chafffeur picked the calls and reached location at 7.05 PM, in between I also followed up with Meru customer care to give alternate cab and to check the Chafffeur status, - I was disappointed with late pick-up, and to see the immature Chauffeur that should be around just 18 yrs old, and further disappointed with his inexperienced improper way of driving, and was clueless how did Meru appointed such Chauffeur for airport pickup drop without understanding the timing importance, Meru is not responding correctly for the complaint launched and to compensate atleast Rs.5000 against the loss of Rs.8050 i faced.                   Concern: Due to technical error payment couldn't be deducted from Paytm walled but I've Paid Mr Liyakat Shaikh in Cash 1114 Rs. You can confirm with the cab driver from your end. (For the same I've Called to Meru Customer Care on 16-Nov-2015 told by executive in 48 hours it will be resolved & also sent feedback on 19-Nov-2015 via feedback sharing by logging on to Merucab.com)

                  Now I want to understand when I've paid the Amount to Cab Driver why it is showing pending? Why customer care is so inefficient to confirm with driver even after my follow ups? Are you people not bothered about business (My Monthly usage is more than 12000Rs with Meru)

                  Because of your irresponsible acts I've not recharged my Paytm walled as I am afraid for paying 2 times amount for the same trip.

                  Another number started to call 5 times in just 10 mins...[protected] (Marked as spam on True Caller as "Lutera ka Sathi")... pathetic.
                  This Meru People have again deducted money for the same...

                  has meru gone mad again deducted money for the same trip...

                  Refund this amount immediately without fail else I need to go through Consumer Court for the same.

                  Why?? When amount was already paid in Cash and matter was sorted out after my complain. How you can deduct amount again from my wallet?

                  I can sue you on the basis of above complaint resolution in Consumer Court.

                    Today morning, i.e. on 22nd Nov. 2015 my friend (who cannot speak hindi well) arrived at Delhi Airport terminal 3 and took a Meru Cab from the Arrival to Mahipalpur at around 11:00 am. The total journey came to about 12 kms for which the driver charged Rs. 380/-!! Really did that driver think that the customer is a fool. The maximum distance between the pick up and destination (Hotel Waves, NH-8, Mahipalpur) is less than 10 kms, the driver simply took advantage. Even if it is 12 kms and after the airport charge of Rs. 110, Rs. 380 is still gross overcharging . On top of that the driver was really impolite and rude to my friend who due to his language handicap was not able to communicate properly. Considering my blind faith on your customer services I suggested my friend to book your cab instead of the other cab services at the airport. But your driver cheated my friend and I feel really embarrassed to have suggested Meru Cabs.

                      I booked a Meru cab taxi to pick me up at 18:00 to the airport on Nov. 7 2015. They sent me the driver details 20 minutes before 18:00.

                      When I called the driver to Check when will he arrive, he told me he is stuck in traffic and cannot come.

                      I then called Meru again to ask them to send another taxi. They promised to radio a new taxi to pick me up by 18:10, but this taxi also never came.
                      Fortunately I was able to ask someone to give me a ride to the airport otherwise I would have missed my flight.

                      Meru cabs service is totally unreliable.

                        I booked the Meru cab on 21 Oct for 22 Oct 4:30 am to drop to bangluru airport. The booking was confirmed. Booking Status: ACCEPTED Booking Ref. No.: 45305826 I got the the mail that Cabs were assigned 20 minutes before travel time. On 22 Oct 4:15 am I called to customer care to know the status of the booking becoz I didn't received any msg regarding the driver who was coming to drop me. The customer care person told me that the cab will reach on time, but the cab did not appear till 4:35 am. I received the mail about the driver details. Cab Number KA53A7859 Chauffeur Name RAVI SHEKAR A Chauffeur Phone [protected] But he didn't appear. Again I call the Customer care, but this time no one received my call and put my call on waiting. I was waiting for the cab till 5:15 am but one one came. The result of that I have missed my flight because of your service.

                          2 days ago, I ordered Meru regular for my grandmother. I think due to non availability of cab in the morning, they sent meru genie. I wasnt accompanying my grandmother, but when she started the journey, I asked her if its a hatchback or sedan. She said meru genie and driver also said genie. When she reached the destination, driver charged the sedan bill, which is double then genie price. Still, no money received after several phone calls.

                            On 6th September 10. 09 pm my father came to Bengaluru Airport and I booked a cab for him from my phone, Booking ID 44136424, It was huge traffic and raining on that day. My father asked the cab driver to take the Doddabasanahalli route to chanasandra as that was the shortest route (40-45 km). But the cab driver refused to do so as he was planning to earn some huge amount. However many things happens on that day and I paid almost 1800 Rs from Airport to Chanasandra. Next day Meru asks for the service feedback. I simple blasted them. My reply to Meru... Hi Thanks for showing your interest for feedback. My father initially told the cab guy to go through the doddanahalli road towards chanasandra. Fyi my father get down at airport and he wanted to come to channasandra. But the cab driver refused saying that the road is not good. Actually through this route it's hardly 40 km so most of the cab driver prefers the Hebbal route to earn a huge amount. Fine... 1. He came through the same route when I booked the cab... Didn't he know that it's raining and huge traffic was there at Hebbal? 2. Repeated urge from my father to tags the shortest route why he ignore? 3. Almost 12 km he went towards Hebbal and then after waiting 20 mins he realised that he did a mistake by not listening to my father and he took the same doddanhalli road. But by that time 25 km already travelled unnecessarily... Why shall I pay for your cab driver mistake? I had to pay a whopping nearly1800 Rs. Is that a fare amount from airport to Channasandra through a shortest route? You don't deserve a single start. Thanks Deb After that meru replied to me and promise me that they would refund the excess amount 440, God knows how they calculated the excess amount ! Meru Customer care reply... Ticket: 15378 Dear Customer, This is with respect to your feedback dated 9/9/2015. Please accept our apologies at the outset. Let’s assure you that we have zero tolerance for such behavior. Deliberately taking a longer/different route is highly detrimental to customer’s trust; we can never afford to allow that. Our CR and Enforcement teams jointly investigated this case and spoke to the chauffeur. They’ve issued a warning letter and penalized him monetarily. Additionally, he would be kept under strict observation and any repeat of similar behavior in future might lead to termination. Addressing your concern, would refund the excess amount of RS 440/- that has been charged wrongly. Please provide the below details so as to transfer the amount to your account. I provided my bank account details. Since then they never come back. Its been more than a month. I don't know if it was a trick by Meru-cabs to ask for customer's account details and later they might do some fishing. However I am also planning to file a police report in case anything happens with my account. I want ConsumerComplaints.in to take a note of this and warn Meru Cabs and they should be accountable for the heinous crime they did. I demand the money should be refunded as early as possible and not 440 its 800 Rs extra they have charged. There calculation is a complete non-sense. In extreme case the amount should not be more than 1000 Rs. Its there Driver's greed for money only for 11 mins waiting period and instead of 40 KM the cab driver took a long route and travelled 76 KM. Whose mistake is this? Meru cabs is liable to refund the amount to my account. One of the cheating cab-service provider in the country. Please help.

                              I travelled by Meru Cab ( KA53A 7661, driver name – Dayanand) from Bangalore Airport (KIAL) to Suncity apartments, sarjapur Junction, Outer ring road pick up around 11:00 (p.m) and drop around 12:30-12:45 a.m on 17th OCT. Unfortunately I have left my phone (Motorola G2) in the CAB, and that was the beginning of my ordeal with Meru. I spent nearly 2 hrs explaining the issue to the helpdesk person on 17th October, at the end of which he says he has logged a complain, he also provided me the driver’s name and phone number ( [protected]), this is an invalid number, I wonder what happens to the safety and security of your passengers if you do not even have a valid phone number to trace your driver ? This theory I do not buy though, as how would the driver get business from Meru when this is the only number you have in your records and he is not reachable, I feel Meru is picking random drivers from the Road and allowing them to take passengers in their name, this is a big concern on security now. When I asked the complain number the response I get was “your phone number, from which you are calling is your complain number and we shall revert to you ASAP” after waiting for almost half a day we did not get any response, so I called up the helpline again, this time it was picked up by a gentleman named Abhijeet, who says there has been no complain logged by me, and the CSR who had picked up might be novice and doesn’t know how to log a complain (OH REALLY !! is that the kind of CSR you guys have employed who doesn’t even know how to log the complain) . Ok so I again spent my 1.5 hours explain the same thing to this gentlemen, who gives me the complaint Nos : 33249 and 33254 (for the novice CSR), till now I have not received a single conversation from any one from Meru This was an official trip and “Meru Cabs” has been listed as our preferred vendors, after this incident I would ensure that I report the matter in concerned department and insist on facilities marking them off the list as very unsafe and unprofessional too, even after giving the cAB number, driver name and his phone number, if you are not able to trace him I have a big doubt on your reliability and modus operandi. I would also ensure that my circle in all the corporate as well as family members are aware of this and make an informed decision no onwards.

                                I feel sorry for the state of affairs of your service provided and regret my recent bookings with you. I mail in this forum as the companies mail ID [protected]@merucabs.com bounces back mail. Booking 9th oct : ref no 44997708 for 6am, pick up south patel nagar, new delhi to New Delhi railway station, driver name :Nawal Kishore Yadav. Mr Nawal reached the pick up location on time and from there on till the station he kept cursing Meru cabs for sending him to this location . He kept harping about how you guys have ill planned routes and pick up points for drivers as he had to a back and forth round to the same place. It was the weirdest cab journey so far as he kept abusing your company infront of my wife and son. Booking 11th oct : ref no 45072083 for 10:50pm : Pick up :New Delhi railway station: Drop - south patel nagar, Driver name: Ashok Singh ​ I started calling Mr singh at 10:30 pm and called him non stop to find out where he was parked as we were very tired of our long journey and wanted a cab ready. Mr singh 's phone was switched off throughout. We had to get out of the station and get a cab ourselves. Now, I get a call from you company from +[protected] at 11:06pm asking me why i cancelled my ride . I cancelled ??? I spoke to your executive and informed him about both my rides, i am sorry as his "Sorry Sir" just simply does not compensate the botheration i had to deal with. Secondly, You sent me a mail of my trip report with charges of the trip with service tax charged. This is sheer cheating at your part. I shall be reaching the appropriate forum as a consumer for this issue. I really do not need to explain you that you really cannot send me a bill or a receipt of something i did not avail for or use. I did not cancel the trip, this trip was abandoned by your driver by switching of his cellphone. Your company services have put me under unnecessary distress at late hour in night with my family. You have blatantly ignored my complaint to your executive and send me a receipt of a trip i did not make with you. This was surely not expected out of a company of your stature.

                                  Regarding this booking I'd 44528530 This trip was completed on 20th of Sep 2015. The problem is double payment. Wallet also deducted and driver also got the payment in cash. I complained regarding this as soon as my trip got over on the same day. But my amount not refunded to my wallet yet. I received a mail from meru stating that my amount got credited back to my wallet on 26sep 15. But no such amount got credited to my wallet. Fake mail sent to me by meru. It's a kind of cheating. I again called customer care and complained regarding this, but when ever i call them their reply is (another two days)almost 8days went. but no reply from them till now. Very poor customer support. Very poor service.

                                    Hi Take it as a feedback, Meru is one of the worst cab Provider in India. Now the case begins I'm a very frequent rider and yesterday I wanted to try Meru Cabs. I booked a cab through Mobile app and it prompted me to use a coupon, since I was trying Meru 1st time I used a discount coupon. I got a call from Cab driver twice, who was not sure about the address . In the era of technology where all service providers are using GPS, Meru seems way behind. Second shock, Cab was stinking from inside and looks very old. Meru is charging almost 2 times more than other providers and still they have old Mahindra Logan in the fleet, gives me a very good laugh. I reached my destination, Cab driver told me Coupon cannot be included due to server issue, and asked me to call customer service. When I called up customer care and informed about the issue, call was put on hold and then disconnected. I again called customer care and made the driver speak to them. Ultimately after 20 mins they got to solution that I have to pay full amount. and wasted my time. I was made a fool by Meru which says #1 Cab service provider and lacks in Technology and Maintenance of assets. After today's instance I really think, Meru as an organization seems a cheater. I will surely not recommend, infact will strongly oppose Meru and spread this experience every where(electronically and verbally).

                                      In just 12 days another case happened today with me... Amount was not deducted from Wallet... even driver was not aware of the same and (Cab No: MH48F1260 Driver RajeshSoni). When I came to know about the same I've informed Team Meru about this incident... here I'm calling from my side to pay the amount and asking to deduct the same and to Provide me Invoice... Some interesting things came out during my talks with Ms Sharda on[protected]: 1) When you book through APP you need to pay 30Rs as Convenience Charge... (In last 2 years i've never seen such charges in my any trip invoice which i've gone through just now except 80Rs at Airport ) 2) Travelled KM is 49 and I should pay 877Rs (No waiting charges / No pick time charges as booked at 15:58Hrs) Then my query was today morning I've travelled on the same route with 52.6 Kms and amount was 870 Rs with following break up: Fare Rs. 773.40 Discount Rs. 0.00 Net fare Rs. 773.40 Rs. Convenience charge Rs. 0.00 Surcharges Rs. 50.00 Total amount Rs. 823.00 Service Tax* Rs. 46.11 Toll Charges reimbursed** Rs. 0.00 Total amount payable Rs. 870.00 - Then I asked again now tell me the final amount to pay ...then Ms Sharda agreed on 820 Rs payable amount to Driver. - Why this amount can not be deducted from the Wallet?? And funny thing is that driver wants this amount at dropped location... STOP MAKING FOOL TO CUSTOMERS THIS IS NOT HAPPENING FOR THE FIRST TIME. Being a genuine person I am calling from my side that amount is not deducted and I am being interrogated and why this amount was not paid...???? When nothing worked on me from Meru side...then Extra Amount to pay???? How irresponsible behaviour and treatment from your side given to your LOYAL customer????????????/ I need following: - Proper Invoice (then only Service tax and other taxes applicable) - In Lieu of Invoice I will deduct *service tax on metered fare @ 5.6% and on other charges @ 14% and inform Tax department about non-receipt of Invoice against service rendered.
