This is Prabhakar from Chennai. I’m very happy to say that I’m a proud owner of Motorola Mobile.
Previously I was using Moto E, and got attracted and addicted to its design, features and its performance.
This literally made me to purchase a High end mobile in Motorola, where I bought Moto X Style/Pure on April 3rd, 2016.
Since I bought I was extremely happy with its performance. But during the month of July I had a faulty touchscreen problem. Where my lower part of the mobile touchscreen seemed not responding. Initially I though it would be a software issue, and did all the reset option available but still it didn’t workout for me. So I approached a Authorized Motorola Service centre (which is mentioned in Motorola official page) Digital Communication, Prabhu Centre, 1St Floor, New No46, Old No20, Ramaswamy Street, Behind Fathima Jewellers, T Nagar, Chennai-600017, Chennai - Tamil Nadu . Examined my mobile and said that I have to replace the touchscreen. I said them to proceed because it was under the warranty. They initially asked me like 10 Days to service my mobile because they don’t have the spare touchscreen and they have to order it. So I asked a stand-by mobile for me for that 10 days as my mobile was under warranty (Other mobile companies like Sony and Samsung used to give stand-by mobile to the customer if their mobile is under Warranty). They said all their stand-by mobiles was with customer initially, And he promised me that they will return my mobile in 10 days. I was waiting and would call them regularly asking about the status, I didn’t get any good response from them at all. At last they took more than 25 days to service my mobile, and they didn’t give any stand-by mobile to me. Even the service was not good. After servicing, mu headphone jack didn’t work properly. Back panel seems to be opening a side. But the display was good and I was happy. And then suddenly this April 10th, 2017 I faced the same problem that I faced earlier. Same faulty touch screen, and now my mobile is out of warranty. And to replace the screen it cost around 11500 INR (as mentioned in the same service centre). Which is essentially a cost of another Moto G series mobile.
things I want to get clarified.
• I wasn’t using my mobile for more than 25 days and that too under warranty period. So why I was not given a extra warranty period of 25 days. Why am I not entitled for the extended warranty time.
• Now I’m facing the same issue that I faced previously, So I just want to know that they really analyse the root cause of the problem and rectify it or they just replace the touch screen ?
• And when they service my mobile for the first time, they said I have only one month warranty for my new touchscreen. That was completely out of context, because my 4 month old mobile still holds the warranty for 8 more month. But my newly replaced screen just holds the warranty for only one month. That’s absolutely not a good deal at all.
And finally a complaint about the service centre.
Very worst service centre I’ve ever seen in my life. Whenever I’ve been there, there is always a fight (verbal) between the customer and the technicians there. The people in the centre were not kind at all. And they really don’t know what’s manners and how to deal with the customers. There are two incident happened on 10thApril, 2017. Where one of the customer got pissed off because they didn’t return the customer mobile for long time. He got so frustrated and took one of the other customer mobile in his hand(I know this a wrong act by the guy). But still the way the Service centre guys treated was so terrible. The service centre guys started yelling at a very loud voice saying “How dare you could take customer mobile in your hand. Do you have sense . I will call the police .” What the customer did is really not healthy to the environment. But still that’s not the way that the service centre people should react.
And the second thing happened on the same day. Another customer were promised to get the mobile in a week. But they took more than two weeks I suppose. So he got frustrated and brought a steel chain and tied around his hand and locked himself with a key at one end. And at the other end he locked it around the window steel bar with a lock and key.
Even the way they treated this guy was very rude.
The thing is however the customer comes here, everyone leaves with zero satisfaction. People there doesn’t know manners, how to be kind with customers, how to manage crowds and etc. Please review this Service centre and take necessary step to mitigate this problem because of the way these people behave with customers, most of them(customer) started thinking like Moto is not the best brand to rely up on as I has the worst service capabilities.
If you enter the service centre at 11Am in the morning, people would call you to examine your mobile at 4 pm only.
This service centre guys have changed their location from one place to another, but still they didn’t change their location address on google as well as Motorola website.
PS: Attaching my purchase bill so that you could cross verify my IMEI No to find the previous service status(25 long days to service).
I also wrote to [protected]@motorola.com last week but still no response from them.
