Dear Team,
During Bengaluru lockdown I had to drop and pick up my wife from BIAL for an emergency reason. Because of lock down Highway is closed by Police, so I used service road to reach upto BIAL toll plaza. To my surprise staff at toll plaza did not show any mercy to open the gate without taking full toll charges. While picking up my wife I got late by 30 minutes because my fast tag was black listed and I had no cash with me. I had five cards and all kinds of e-money wallets at my mobile but there was no provision of paying other than cash. I begged to the officers sitting there to allow me to go but with no success. Finally I recharged my fastag and waited for 30 minutes to cross the toll. When Govt is encouraging cash less economy, why there is no provision of paying cashless at such an important toll plaza?
Why do I even need to pay money when I am not allowed to use the elevated highway?
I am going to file a consumer case, as it's direct violation of consumers interest.
During lockdown, elevated highway is blocked & we are made to travel in service road. Even though TOLL AMOUNT is getting deducted from my Fastag. Since we are not utilising elevated highway it is not supposed to deduct.
Accordingly I am humbly requesting you that TOLL FEE which got deducted from my Fastag during this lockdown period may please get credited back to my Fastag account.
