I had issue with Fastag which I am using from airtel bank for my car KA51MC1515.
On 13th Feb, I used toll and Fastag charged for rs.50 and immediately I added rs.500 and total balance was rs.600/- in account. Same day coming back when I scan Fastag it was black listed and I had to pay penalty of rs.50.
Again on 21st Feb when I got Fastag scanned it was still blacklisted and made second penalty of rs.50. On this day one of the toll representative helped me understand that even though rs.600/- balance in airtel account, reserved amount is rs.0 due to which Fastag is blacklisted. He then help me add reserved amount from phonepe. Airtel Fastag and I need to add reserved amount from phonepe? Really? Then I understand this is Airtel bank issue, due to which I had to pay penalty twice.
I contacted airtel bank about this issue and they are just telling that Fastag is active now and there is no issue. When I spoke to airtel customer care, they said it's a technical issue but unable to help to refund the penalties.
When it's a bank issue why would consumer had to pay penalties, appreciate if you can please help review this issue and do the needful. I am sure there would be lot such consumer have issue who using airtel bank.
