Respected sir,
Sub: nh-45c highway department's bad property acquisition compensation calculation, demanding bribe and rude way of treating property owner.
I own a property consisting of 13 shops and 1 house of an area about 2800sq. Ft, located in survey no. 729/2 (Old no.484), in which nh45c unit-2 department acquired an area of 93.88 sq. Mt., along with 7 shops, and without any consultation, suddenly handed over a compensation money of rs. 68, 64, 936.
It was really shocking that in the compensation award list for all other owners with very less area acquired, were given more compensation than me. Example, for acquiring an area of 87.91 sq. Mt., rs.75, 96, 57 has been awarded as compensation. Also, the government officials, demanded me rs.40, 000 as bribe money, because at first the compensation value was wrongly calculated as only rs.41, 00, 000 and then the was changed to rs. 68, 64, 936 but still calculated too low for my property.
Practically, if i wanted to buy another similar property with this awarded compensation is impossible, because all the other properties located at the main panrutti kumbakonam national highways, similar to mine cost rs.6000/1sq. Ft. (Only land price), and along with the civil structure will cost around rs.1, 20, 00, 000. This clearly shows that the highway department made a very bad calculation and paid me a lump sum in my bank account without a consultation.
My appeal/requirement:
• i humbly appeal you to help me award a fair compensation of at least rs.1, 20, 40, 000 for my property (Including bribe money), or if not, compensate me similar property with 7 shops with an area of 93.88sq. Mt., at kumbakonam chennai main national highways area with all facilities, which is similar to mine.
• since almost all my shops have been vacated for demolition, due to this acquisition, our main monthly income (Rs. 80, 000 = monthly rent for the shops) has been frozen and pushed my family income under throes of distress and confusion. Hence, i need the nh45c department to calculate everything and award a proper justified compensation.
I hereby painstakingly mention that, i will not give up my property for the use of highways aquisition and will fight (Non-violently) until proper justice is served by the government.
