Hi,
I was staying in a nestaway property from Aug2019 till Oct2020. In which i paid security deposit of 2 months of rent which was ~51K INR. I vacated the house on 1st Nov and still waiting for my refund of security to happen.

Nestaway committed that refund process happens in 2-3 weeks when i took the home, while when i was vacating, property manager confirmed that due to current pandemic situation, it may take 2-3 months, which considering the economic turmoil, i understood. But now it is 7+ months and dont see any reason i should be more considerate. I raised a ticket in their portal in Feb 1st week & escalated to highest level, no response. There is no other way i can reach out to them.

When i spoke to the property manager, he simply said to go and visit office, as he also doesnt know how someone can get their refund.

Since i had provided ~51K INR, 1st deduction was of 18K against painting and upkeep, post which another 563 for electricity, which is fine. But i just checked and they have made another deduction of 4500 against maintenance & move out charges, which i was told are covered in 18K deduction. I am simply baffled at the audacity of this company that 1st of all, no refund is happening, than all these unnecessary deductions.

Need help as i really dont know when will i get my hard earned money, while i understand the situation is difficult, its not easy on any o[censored]s, specially the middle class.

    Hi, I left the property on 15th but I still not get my deposit back. I tried to reach these guys but their customer care supoort is not responding at all.

      I have been informed that the Owner of Shiva Kuteera, Mr Hemanth has offboarded the property from Nestaway in June month then why I am still receiving reminder messages and mails from Nestaway regarding paying the rent of July, 2020

      Even I have mailed you to settle the security deposit on priority basis.
      After a long follow up of 4-5 mails I received a short note from Mr Suraj that too without any solution.

      Request you to expedite the process of refunding the security deposit 100% without any deductions.
      They dont take calls neither they respond to any mails also they dont meet in their offices

        After checking out, they didn't refund our security deposit. The security deposit was rs 40k . But they deducted 32000 rs from that stating the charges are due to painting (18k), cleaning room (4k) and sofa repair charges ( 6k) . While the condition of sofa is as it was during our checkin time. They never painted the room. They never mentioned anything related to painting charges in the agreement. Furthermore, when we had checked in, the room was full of dirt and the fan in one of our rooms was not working, we raised complaint and well as logged a ticket .. but there was no response from them. We had to clean the entire room and stayed with out fan for 18 days.

          Dear Sir/Madam,
          I would like to bring to your attention that I have vacated the house (S-2, 827, Shalimar, Near Lenskart Flagship, R R Nagar, Bangalore-98) on 02/05/2021, even after repeated communications and requests you have withheld my security deposit which was supposed to be refunded within 7 days from the date of vacating the house.
          Kindly, release the same within the period of 7 days from today, if you fail to do so, the necessary legal actions both under civil and criminal law shall be initiated against you, at your own cost.

          Kindly do the needful.

            I moved out from nestaway platinum city property in Jan 21. After many reminders they completed the inspection after 45 days of vacating the property, however their area manager Zabi was available at the property at the time of handover but he did not do the inspection.

            After almost 4 months are over i have not received my refund, customer care say it is escalated and you will receive the call which they never do. They do not reply on the mail. Area managers and regional managers are dumb and useless. Below is the email content shared with the team looking for a resolution.

            1. I have already taken approval for the charges of early vacating, As i was forcefully asked to vacate the Flat F201 as the landlord offboard the property. please check the customer complaint number- CC_08482409.
            2. At the time of vacating the previous flat you charged me wrongfully however i could not raise a complaint.
            3. The charges which are reflecting on the settlement report i have below problems.
            Mirror- when i shifted or my stuff was shifted by nestaway caretaker as i was not in the city. the flat did not have the mirror in the bathroom and on mirror was damaged.
            Bell- it is not working from the very 1st day why are you charging me.
            cupboard- one of the cupboard was damaged when i moved in and the cleaner told me since you are on 1 bed basis one cupboard is allotted to you which is in good condition without the keys.
            Bathroom shower and tab- it was in the pathetic condition when i moved in.
            Kitchen- i am not sure about the teb now as i left 45 days before and can not the take the responsibility of the flat once i moved out.

            Unable to add the complaint on the dashboard.

              I have vacated from Nestaway N2333 on 30 April 2021. Even when Nestaway team forgot to do the inspection, I raised a ticket with support and also called the are manager to remind them about it. And they did the inspection very late on 18 May 2021. The house was also eligible for 24 hours refund but I haven't received my refund amount yet.

                I had moved out of nestaway property on 17th Feb 2021. The customer care support hastold that my SD will be refunded within 7-14 days. So many months passed and I didn't receive a single penny. I have called the customer service many times, raised service requests, mailed them but no response. They are saying owner is not returning money which isn't my problem. I need my money please 🙏

                  I have vacated the flat by Nestaway in September 2020 but still not they have refunded security money. Also they are not providing communication till when they will refund it. Already raised many complaints but seems no reply from them.

                    I moved out from the apartment (prakash reddy apartments, Hongasandra, Bengaluru) on 1st of October 2020, and till now I haven't received my security deposit which I gave nestaway from which they will be deducting 1 month rent. So total refunded amount should be 32000.

                      The Company has added undue amount of 7000 to my account and is claiming a further Rs 100/day charge as late fee. The amount of 7000 is claimed to be electricity charges for three properties. Of the three I haven't stayed in 2 and are someone else's bills. The third bill I have paid directly to the owner based on sub-meter reading since she did not show me a bill for my apartment.

                          I rented an Apartment from Nestaway for 1 year and moved out meeting proper guidelines protocol. It's been 5 months since I moved out and I have not received my security deposit back and during this covid situation, it has been really painful to manage money and post multiple calls to their customer care I have not got my deposit money back.                             Good Evening!

                            WRT to the subject house ID, I have moved out from the house on November 16th 2020 as per the scheduled date. I have not yet received the Security Deposit of 46200 paid during my initial move-in Date (Paid on 12/5/2019).

                            The move-out Settlement recommendation Report (SRR) was sent on Friday, November 20th 2020 and after that there is no further communication. PFA the mail PDF of the same.

                            I have raised a ticket for the same with Ticket Number CC[protected] but no action has been taken till date. The ticket has been escalated to Level 4 but there is no response for the same. PFA the screenshot of the same!

                            I have lost my Job because of this Covid and in desperate need of money to run my house.Kindly look into the same ASAP and do the needful.

                            I have also placed a complaint on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) with docket number: 2441101.

                                I moved out of a NestAway property on 28 May 2020. First, the company did not send any executives to take the handover on the scheduled move out date and I had to go to their office to handover keys, and I also have paid one month of rent extra due to technical issue while paying April month’s rent.

                                Now it’s been 1year since I moved out and they have still not returned my security deposit, every time I speak with their multiple executives, also from q city office, dropped mupltiple emails and every time I call to customer care they say it’ll take one more week. They are purposely holding back my deposit and not returning

                                  I moved out of a NestAway property on 4th April April 2021.
                                  it’s been 1.5 months since I moved out and they have still not returned my security deposit, every time I speak with their executives, they say it’ll take 2 working days. They are purposely holding back my deposit and telling the owner might not have deposited the amount. Please help as the company is scamming tenants.

                                        I had booked a bed of 3BHK flat in Pune which is opted for IDR only after confirming that I'll required it for a Month only. And nestaway area manager agreed for that after a negotiation with the owner. I paid Rs. 16, 500 on March 14. And moved out on april 15 handing over the keys.
                                        Despite moving out in well condition I've been charged maintenance and cleaning charges where as when i moved in thr house wasn't clean at all infact i had to pay Rs300 and get it cleaned though I've been charged for multiple useless charges. No agreement or police verification was done yet I've been charged 2300 as agreement charges.
                                        It's been a month that ive vacated still i didn't receive my refund despite continuous followup and mails with the zonal manager. Area manager doesn't even bother to pick up the call.
                                        It's my hard earned money and in these tough times of pandemic every single penny is important and it means a lot.
                                        I want my deposit refunded soon.
