Rented Apartment: C103, Ittina Akkala Apartments, Whitefield, Bangalore

Me and my roommates had moved out of this apartment on February 2020. They had asked for softcopy of moveout slip from the society and previous month's electricity bill, which we had provided. And still they have not returned our security deposit of Rupees 98, 231.

I was a co-tenant in the apartment. Primary Tenant was Sameer Dobriyal (sameer.[protected]@gmail.com).

In the documents attached are:
1. Rent agreement
2.Copy of Moveout slip
3.Copy of electricity bill
4. Snapshot of email sent to Nestaway

    Hi,

    I was living in a one room set from nestaway which I rented it in 2019 but vacated it in March 2021. Since then they are not returning the deposit money and also not answering calls. Please refer below attach screenshot for the amount left.

    Please resolve it.

      While paying june rent Nestaway gave payment failed error(See the email screenshot attached) So i paid again which got successful.
      Next day i.e. yday they successfully processed the first failed payment and did not give me any refund. See the Gpay SS attached. First payment is processed on 6th again. Twice they took my money.

        Hi,
        This is Ankit Kumar Maurya, I have taken Nestaway's house for rent, the house id is 32931.
        I left the Nestaway house and notified for the same to Nestaway in January 2021.
        I have complained multiple times since February 2021 till now on call as well as created and followed up a ticket CC_08498631, the ticket link is https://www.nestaway.com/alpha/care/ticket/CC_0849863, Which was closed and canceled on 1st June of 2021.
        I also complained on their Twitter handle but after certain replies, they totally ignored all my messages.

        This has been big mental torture for me to get my refund amount back.
        For such huge mental torture and time waste, Nestaway should pay me a fine of 5 lakhs along with the original refund amount.

          Nestaway has always looted money by there extra charges I have paid all month rent and now I have shifted I want my deposit 12, 200 rupees back they are not giving my money back by sayng that’s there policy wherein they have also charged me for agreement which they have not given me so as there is no agreement made I am not liable for there policy I need my refund back I shifted in an emergency due to covid. Please help.

          Lady herself declared my problem is solved and disconnected my calls and when asked shut the phone on my face that is highly not acceptable.

                Its been more than 6 months since i have moved out of nestaway. move out date was 23rs nov 2020 and still i have not got my security refund back .
                There is no point of contact, customer support team doesnt answer calls or mail. if we try to connect on social media handles they dont even see the messages.
                This is the limit of mental harassment which nestaway is subjecting its customers to .
                First alot of baseless late fees and fine which were not handled even after repeated requests for months . and now when i have finally moved out no reply from your side on security refund .
                please look into the issue at the earliest.

                  This people have taken my money they said they will provide a bed sharing in apartment no power no anyother things in the house all after taking money said to go and stay somewhere untill power comes it's very bad place they are cheating tenants through house brokings I want to raise a complaint on nestaway manager and nestaway company I don't know is it ryt place or not to raise complaint

                    They first take token amount then ask you to pay commission and security deposit. They make you to agree in agreement without change. Because you have paid, you would just agree on whatever.
                    Then they stop responding and not sure if you will get house.
                    Even if you get house, it will be in bad state and they will take damages from you. Painting charges are mandatory and they earn it unethically.
                    It is online fraud company. BEWARE

                      Hello Nestaway,

                      Before i shifted to my previous house (nestaway), you said i will be paid off with my full security deposit after i vacate my house for which i paid 70, 000 rs.
                      After i vacated the house, you refunded me 25, 000 and 20, 000 was my deposit for my new house. So you kept 25, 000 rs with yourself

                      Then you charged me 4850+879 rs for move out/Maintenance charges on March 2021
                      Now, in July you are asking for 15, 000 rs for painting charges !!

                      On top of that my security deposit refund of 7, 200 rs is still locked and i cant claim it also

                      You say there is no hidden charges, then every month you come up with ways to ask money !!

                      How absurd of you, if this isnt resolved within 1 week. I am going to contact a lawyer for you guys. Seriously this is beyond a level of harassment

                        I vacated my flat on 2020/08/31 as the house was delisted by the owner from Nestaway.
                        On 2020/09/04, I got a mail fron Nestaway representative regarding security deposit break and updates. After that I have been asking him to refund security depost but he is not responding.

                        I request to refund my security deposit.

                          Hi I have vacated the flat on 17th January and till today 23rd June than 5 months now security deposit amount Rs 47250.00 INR-/ not refunded by the nestaway team, if as tenant when I delayed a month rent by some days they charged me Rs 100-/ per day as fine, but they are delaying to return my security deposit by 5 months now. Please check this complaint as needed my security deposit to be refunded. Please take some action on this.

                            I have been with Nestaway and given my house in Pune ( Gera Skyvillas - 512 T3) for rent through you. It's extremely sad the condition it has been left in. When I joined Nestaway, I was promised that Nestaway works as caretake of the flats that they rent out and in case it is off boarded at time it will be given back in proper condition. Thats the reason for taking deposits from tenants as well.
                            However I am appalled at seeing the condition of the house and the furnishing that was there. Nestaway made me spend Rs. 2 Lac + for the furnishing, but the condition it has been left in is just pathetic. Photos are attached.

                            I am unable to attach video.
                            I demand urgent action on this and I should be compensated for all the loss and trauma.

                              Money being asked even after vacating the flat

                              Dear Sir/Madam,

                              I would like to bring to your attention that I have vacated the house (Tarangan building, kasarvadavali, Thane) on 11/03/2021, I have received an email saying i have to vacate the flat and as per their request I have vacated the flat on the mentioned date, move out option was disabled on the nestaway application therefore I wasn't able to raise the move out request but this was informed to area property manager...

                              Dear Sir/Madam,

                              I would like to bring to your attention that I have vacated the house (Tarangan building, kasarvadavali, Thane) on 11/03/2021, I have received an email saying i have to vacate the flat and as per their request I have vacated the flat on the mentioned date, move out option was disabled on the nestaway application I wasn't able to raise the move out request but this was informed to area property manager on the same day. Later they called regarding rent I have informed them to deduct from the security deposit itself as I know that you people will not refund any amount. Though I have informed this to area property manager again I got a call from the same person and I have explained everything, even after inspection I was notified anything because everything was fine and all of sudden I have received one more mail saying I have to 19k for rent and all. I do not understand one that even vacating the flat why you people are charging and sending emails saying "we have to pay otherwise action will be taken". Whoever is writing mail can't they do background check and then go ahead. This is seriously ridiculous. Kindly look into this and sort this issue.

                              if you fail to do so, the necessary legal actions both under civil and criminal law shall be initiated against you, at your own cost.

                                I vacated the property on 27th March 2021 as per nestaway serving 45days notice period. Key handover and everything is done. nestaway has acknowledged that bed is released.

                                I have paid 202800Rs as security deposit to nestaway.
                                Out of which 113200rs was with Deepu paul owner and nestaway has unpaid dues to owner and he has deducted all that from the security deposit Balance 89600rs is with Nestaway.

                                I have stated to nestaway that there are no dues from Deepu Paul owner to me on my security deposit of 113200Rs with all deductions done to owner. Owner also has confirmed via mail to nestaway on this matter.

                                Nestaway is not paying my deposit saying it's with owner. But there is no amount pending from owner.
                                Nestaway owes me my balance of 89600Rs without any deductions -Please arrange the refund for the same.
                                This has been dragged this long for all the lack of actions from Nestaways end. Expecting this to be closed ASAP.

                                Nestaway has cancelled and closed all my open tickets for refund. I dont understand why.

                                  I received a notice to pay INR 22, 450/- .However, my dashboard reflects INR 15, 450/-, which included the painting charges of INR 9, 000/- while at the time of move out.As the move out was cancelled this amount was supposed to be removed long back, which has not been done and also late payment charges are being added on that. Even the area property manager is not responding that is very rude.Require this case to be urgently looked at without delays.

                                    I raised a query regarding the non-working AC in my room in the property Rekha Nest 15. CC_08526863

                                    I received a call from the Area Manager that the AC will be fixed in a couple of days. On Saturday I got a call from an AC service man as well that they'll come and check the AC the next day.

                                    But no calls or repairman came. I received a text message today as well that there'll be a visit by Area Manager today, but his phone is not reachable.

                                    This issue has become a huge problem for me. I raised this issue on 7th July and it has been 10 days since then and I'm dealing with your irresponsibility and non-responses.

                                      Hi,
                                      I was staying in a nestaway property from Aug2019 till Oct2020. In which i paid security deposit of 2 months of rent which was ~51K INR. I vacated the house on 1st Nov and still waiting for my refund of security to happen.

                                      Nestaway committed that refund process happens in 2-3 weeks when i took the home, while when i was vacating, property manager confirmed that due to current pandemic situation, it may take 2-3 months, which considering the economic turmoil, i understood. But now it is 7+ months and dont see any reason i should be more considerate. I raised a ticket in their portal in Feb 1st week & escalated to highest level, no response. There is no other way i can reach out to them.

                                      When i spoke to the property manager, he simply said to go and visit office, as he also doesnt know how someone can get their refund.

                                      Since i had provided ~51K INR, 1st deduction was of 18K against painting and upkeep, post which another 563 for electricity, which is fine. But i just checked and they have made another deduction of 4500 against maintenance & move out charges, which i was told are covered in 18K deduction. I am simply baffled at the audacity of this company that 1st of all, no refund is happening, than all these unnecessary deductions.

                                      Need help as i really dont know when will i get my hard earned money, while i understand the situation is difficult, its not easy on any o[censored]s, specially the middle class.
