I stayed in a Nestaway property near Ejipura, Bangalore. I vacated the flat on 30th September, and Nestaway did all the procedures. The informed that they will refund my security deposit with in 15 working days. Its 3rd November now, and even dropping 10-15 mails, no response no refund of security deposit as promised.
Fraud and money sucking startup providing the worst customer support and services.

I am providing the necessary details. They even deleted my dashboard so that i dont get the details. They even added charges regarding ehich they never informed And they made me to renew the agreement during the Lockdown period.

    Hello Team,

    I had rented a house from NestAway on 13 Nov 2019 and moved out on 31 August 2020. It's been more than two months since I moved out and yet deposit refund is still pending.

    Rental Address: House no. 114, Block 120, Mulund West, Hindustan Chowk-Mulund colony, Mumbai-400080
    Owner: Mr. Tarun Kapoor ([protected]@gmail.com)
    Broker: www.nestaway.com

    The rent was Rs. 14500/- per month and Rs. 43500/- was taken as a security deposit. All the payments (rent/deposit/utility bills) were made to NestAway on its mobile app.
    NestAway has generated invoice for Rs. 29922.21/- to be paid as refund to me after all deductions with due date 05 Oct 2020. The due date has passed long and both Owner and NestAway have not been replying on refund status.
    I raised the issue with NestAway on 12 Sep 2020 for refund status with service request CC_08449643 and took follow-up till 05 Oct 2020 but they did not reply.

    NestAway did send a mail to Owner (Tarun Kapoor) with me in CC for refund of deposit. I am following up with both on mail, but no one is replying on it.

    I just want my deposit back. NestAway has already deducted costs for Utility bills (Rs. 887/-) and an extra Rs. 3550/- for no reason from my deposit (Rs.43500/-) and still the amount they suggested (Rs. 29922.21) has not been refunded yet.

      It's more than 4 months of my move out from the property of Nestaway(a rental providing company) they haven't refunded me the security deposit amount and in case i ask them over call the refund they tell me to speak to house owner however i have spoken with the owner and he mentioned as I have given the money to house owner so collect it from the company itself. Now the company people are ignoring my call and asking me to explain the problem in their local language and they are doing drama of not knowing Hindi, English. My security deposit amount is Rs.43, 550. I need the complete refund of my money and it is delayed by over 4 months so please help me to get back my hard earned money as per the agreement they should have returned the deposit within 7 days.

      They are saying the same thing that owner is not refunding but the point is I have deposited the money to Nestaway and now they are blaming the owner, they can refund me the amount and later settle with owner as I have given the money to Nestaway, its more than 4 months I am in need of the money I need my money with rate of interest on it for 4 months.

        I am staying at nestaway since more than a year. Now due to COVID outbreak, I decided to move out. We had dropped a mail to the company and the property owner requesting to reduce our rent as nobody was staying at the flat. So, I decided to move out. I had paid Rs.12000 deposit, and had monthly rent of Rs 6000 + (Rs. 199 +GST) Assure charges. I had always paid the rent on time. Nestaway was responsible for updating the other charges on the dashboard and we used to pay it. Other charges included electricity bills, gas bill, water supply bills etc. They never updated charges on dashboard on time. They used to update the bills once in 6 months or so. It used to be a big amount to pay, but then too, we used to pay it before due date. We had raised a ticket and asked them to update the bills monthly and they had promised the same. When we moved in our property manager told us, tenants living in A. C rooms will pay 70% of the bill and remaining will pay 30% of the bill. I was living in a non AC room. When I moved out, there were no dues on my dashboard. No damage to the property was done. There were pending bills, bit as they were not updated, we didn't pay it. 3 tenants moved out before me, and 2 of them recieved a complete refund. I was the 4th one to move out, and have received only Rs. 6600. And remaining amount is deducted under Other Charges.
        I raised many requests for my refund, but none was addressed. Even after dropping mail to property manager and owner, no one is responding to the mail.
        About pending bills, my overall contribution is about Rs.1896, which can be reduced from my deposit but not more than that is acceptable. These charges also include bills of the months when I was not even staying at the property, and other tenants were utilizing the amenities. Nestaway did not charge any of these bills to tenants who moved out a very few days before me. On recent ticket, they replied saying that I have to pay the bills, attach the reciept and then only my remaining amount may be refunded. So here, firstly, i was not the only one staying at the property, 7 others stayed with me from which e have already moved out, and 2 have given a notice for move out. Secondly, This is not my responsibility to go to everyone and collect the money, it was there responsibility to manage this which they didn't do. And the most important, if they are so concerned about the deposit why am I the only one whose deposit is not getting refunded? I need my deposit asap.

          Hi,

          As a Nestaway customer for last 3 years being a owner of an apartment, I have been treated terribly by Nestaway personnel for last 6 months. My rents have not been paid regularly leading to a big outstanding amount. With despair and disgust I have requested to terminate the contract with Nestaway 1 month back. To my surprise and also my tenants surprised Nestaway has offboarded the tenant in their dashboard without collecting the pending amount and without even checking if the tenant has actually moved out of the house. To make matter worse Nestway personnel (ZM, Area Mgr, Offboarding team etc) are not reachable and are unable to give any updates. This is really disgusting customer service and request all folks reading this to stay away from this service provider who do not care for their customers (short or long term).

            I have been charged Rs 15000/ as painting charges, but room wasn't newly painted when I moved there. My move out date is on 31st of Oct 2020.

              I had booked a nestaway in nagar bhavi banglore named coconut garden, I've submitted my move out request 20 days before on their official app and I haven't recieved any updates regarding that yet.. app shows inspection is pending on contacting the agent says inspection is done dont worry and when you try pushing him a bit he'll suggest you to contact he owner, done that, contacted him, extremely ignorant he'll twist you asking for specifications like registered email Id phone number and all ( which earlier you've mentioned everything in agreement) then this f*er wont pick up your call, when you trick him by calling from other number he'll ask you to send a mail, after you've done that again he wont pickup your call and again one day you call him from other number he'll say tell me the subject of your mail and specifications...this goes on and onn...thought nestaway would be a better option than renting and landlord, but it's the worse, with this you have to deal with this people virtually and trust me they wont even reply

                I have a deposit of Rs 13460/- with Nestaway, I have raised moveout today for moveout date 5th of Nov, I am being charged a 8moveout charges of Rs 8834/- + 2700 . So my settlement is supposed to be[protected] = 1926 (should be refunded to me)
                'But I got a mail with a moveout settlement slip which says I have to pay 13460 + 8834+ 2700 = 24994 ( which is not even matching with dashboard )This is very disturbing .Please take action else I will have no option other than filing a consumer case against nestaway .

                  I moved out last month Sept 2020, no-one came for the inspection.

                  I was supposed to get my deposit of 10k back, but now I am able to see that there is a payment due on my account with tag (MAINTENANCE MOVE_OUT_CHARGES)

                    My name is Vijay and has been staying in the property (house id -N49185) since the last 2.5 years at the mentioned address (4, Nagaraj Residency, 942, Pragati layout, Doddanekundi, , Bangalore, Karnataka, India, 560037) I vacated my flat-004 in in August 2020 which was managed by Nestaway and awaiting refund of security deposit since then. There are no responses to the mails or revert from customer call centre. Please help resolve

                      I am owner of a flat in DLF Westend Heights Bangalore.
                      I trusted Nestaway to rent my flat two years ago.
                      I found them highly unprofessional in their communication.

                      Here is the list of issues I faced:

                      1. It is October 25th, 2020. For the last one month I could not login to their system because of the technical issues in their system. They did not bother to resolve the issue even after complaining multiple times by email and twitter. So for last one month, I cannot communicate them using their usual method of "raising a service request" in their app and they have done nothing to fix it.

                      2. My tenant planned to move out on October 17 and he informed me on September 25th, but Nestaway did not inform me about it officially until there was only one week left to his move out.

                      3. As of today (October 25th), they have not paid the rent of September. The worst part is that they did not even inform me in advance that they had plan to delay the rent. Later after asking continuously for 10 days (on around October 14th, just 3 days before move out of the tenant) they emailed that the rent was delayed because they wanted to adjust security deposit given to me when the tenant came to the flat.
                      But just two days after the move out, they sent me another email, demanding the security deposit, without talking about the pending rent of 47 days.
                      On top of that they threatened to charge Rs 200/day as penalty if I do not pay the security deposit with 7 days of move out. So they had already delayed the rent by over 20 days without committing any penalty to me, but they expected penalty from me.

                      4. This was not the first time when I experienced their unprofessionalism. In last two years, whenever there were issues, they took weeks and sometimes over a month to answer simple queries.

                      5. Escalations have no impact at all. After getting no satisfactory response from their customer care, I sent emails to their CEO, Mr. Amarendra Sahu directly and to my surprise, even he chose to ignore the complains.

                      Overall the attitude of Nestaway staff from top to bottom had been highly unprofessional. Now I am waiting for the final settlement with them.

                        It has been nearly 2 months since my moveout from nestaway property still they haven't provided the security refund which was promised within 7-14 days.
                        Tried every possible way to contact them - calling customer care, over mails and even raising tickets but there is no response.
                        Kindly help me getting my refund back.

                          Hi,

                          I raised a move out request on 15th august 2020 for 30th august 2020, and nestaway added an extra amount to my dashboard saying i will be charged 5480 extra since the policies have now changed and notice period is one month, alright! But the house which i was staying in had 10 days notice period and i was informed about it when i first moved in.
                          i said alright let it go.

                          now after almost 60 days of my move out, several mails, service requests later, none of which was replied to, the customer care representatives are coming back to tell me that I have to pay back nestway with 5000 . Along with a painting charge of 9000 they have also added a inr 12300 moving charge for what i don't know and a utility bill of INR 1012, when I have already moved out on 30th august.

                            I have been informed by the Property owner that I will have to vacate as he is canceling contract with Nestaway in the month of September but when i asked the Manager he said there no cancellation in contract, Finally I have been not given notice of 30 days prior as per Nestaway policy. Also have been asked to vacate on 28th of September. Now I did not get my refund as well. I have been staying with my friends home and had struggled a lot.

                            I would need my deposit back plus one month rent as you did not inform me prior 30 days else will send legal notice and will reach out to consumer court with the help of my lawyer.

                              We have alredy vacated our flat on 17th Oct and a complete 30days notice was served as per process. The security deposit we made at the beginning was 44000 out of which we have been only reimbursed 5K. There were no damage to the house or any product inside it so its clear that they are running fraud. we need to have our complete payment .

                                I have given deposit of 39k, I have vacated the house in June and till now the advance amount is not refunded yet even after multiple service request and complaint are raised .

                                No communication via email phone or anything from nestaway on advance refund amount

                                And along with no refund unnecessary bills and fines have been added for which there is no justification or response from nestaway, we wlhaev taken one room for rent and utility bills are 5k eve though we are not staying from January and the room was empty this clearly showa how nestaway is cheating on people

                                  I have vacated the flat N224 9th of september 2020.
                                  Till now i have not received my security deposit refund.
                                  As per my agreement there is no clause of Non-IDR mentioned so putting my security deposit under NON-IDR is illegal.
                                  My emails are not responded and tickets raised are not answered.

                                  I have gone through alot of mental stress because of your behaviour towards this problem.
                                  If you are not taking any action for refund i will have to file fraud complaint.

                                    Moved out on 11-july-2020 from houseID 82958, still not recieved the refund. Multiple cases raised, answer is always same - waiting for owner to refund.

                                    Am in the building full of nestaway tenant, at least 10. And the owner is same, I know for sure that these tenant are still paying rent. Why can't nestaway give back to me instead of owner, if owner is not paying. 19000 is not a small amount to leave. Am in difficult situation, and it's feel like begging just to get my money back.

                                    Please help me out.

                                        But till date i haven't received the same .
