Hi,

When i first submitted complaint in consumercomplaint about nestaway, nestaway contacted me but then they told me that they will do the inspection again
And they will not pay me one month rent.
They said that they will pay me 18000 which is still not sure whereas the security money that should be paid is 31000.
Nobody is sharing any news from their side after the initial phone calls that they did after complaint.

    Dear nestaway

    I, aditya bhala, am hereby writing this to inform you that i will be taking legal help to resolve my issue under cc_08407515

    Even after numerous attempts to get in touch with your support team regarding my security deposit settlement, refund and inspection of the room i used to rent, there has been no kind of credible response from your side. Attaching below twitter and messenger account chats for your reference.

    Also your property manager mr. Surya informed me that unofficial inspection took place on 21st june 2020. I moved out on 20th june 2020 with scheduled move out being 1st july 2020. Also i received a call from nestaway regarding pre inspection in which they confirmed official inspection will take place on 28th june 2020 for which i have a recorded audio clip.

    After having chats with your property manager on 2nd july, he said the official inspection has already been done and finance team is informed. I have chats to prove the same. Where as your safety department informed me today that they are still waiting for the property manager to finalise the inspection. (Which again i have a recorded audio clip)

    As per your contract, safety deposit is to be refunded within 7 working days of moving out. The entire confusion above between your various departments, along with the proofs that i have collected over the few days, shows your incompetence in handling customers and your intent to commit fraud by duping innocent civilians of their own hard earned money.

    As such, i am hereby notifying you that if no action is taken, with reference to the above, and inspection status and refund status is not provided to me by eod tomorrow, or your customer service team fails to contact me by eod tomorrow, i will be taking legal recourse regarding the same.

    Hope that you will consider this mail seriously and avoid unnecessary legal complications.

    even I am facing the exact same issue. It's been more than 10 days and my security deposit has not been refunded. I have seriously no idea what to do with them.
    They have looted money from every tenant.

      My living room electricity bill is so much higher than usual this month. We don't have ac or any other electrical kitchen appliances in there also. So this is impossible. Our room electricity bill is about 4500 with ac. And living room electricity bill is about 8000 (Room electricity bill excluded). Which is kinda impossible. I believe the meter is faulty or something is definitely faulty. You have to send someone to figure this out asap.

        I have already raised a complain for the same issues but haven’t received the full refund. I have moved out of 511, maruthi sadan apartment, nishant bhag colony, somajiguda, hyderabad, 500016 under nestaway. I have moved out from their property on 26th may 2020. According to their website and legal agreement i was supposed to get my security deposit refund 15,, 750/- r. S in 7 working days but they have transferred till now 9, 861/- r. S. And rest they said they will refund on 5th july. I ask them to send me official emails for same but haven’t get any proper response back. The balance amount is 5, 889/-r. S which i was supposed to get back by yesterday but haven’t received yet neither any official emails. I have tried calling customer support and despite raising a service request and sending emails for the same but haven’t got any official written communication of refund amount after this and the only message i get always is hie salva, greetings for the day. As per the query raised by you we would like to inform you that as we are checking the issue to our internal team so we request you to kindly provide us some time so, that we can get back as son as possible. But truth is they doesn’t come back with any reply, i’m the one who is following with their team.

        Kindly request you to solve this issue asap and refund the balance amount 5, 889/-r. S.

          We have been living in our apartment from the past 1 year, at the time of joining we were not told about any visiting charges. We are being charged again and again for the same. The total now is 16000, whenever call customer service they are replying it is not our department. Why should we pay for visiting?

            I have vaccated the nestway owned house on 14th june, 2020 and nestaway is liable to pay me the security deposit refund which i have deposited while i took the house. After multiple followups on the refund ticket raosed on their portal and twice visiting their hsr office, they are not refunding my amount. Its already 20+days and there is no response from tech team on the ticket and they are not answering me while i visited their office as well. Kindly, help me getting this redressed and my amount paid back to me. I have attached, the refund amount value which they need to pay back and the service ticket number to which i have not got any response.

              I am nestaway tenant from more than 800 days,
              Now while moving out they are saying i am not nest away customer,
              I have received agreement from them only.
              As per there rules, i am obliged to tell 10 days before move out,
              But now these guys want 30 day notice period, which is not required according to there policies and faq
              Also, i have called them regarding move out policies and they told me to check faq section there they have mentioned it 10 days.
              Not they are charging me for 10, 000 rs for not serving notice period,
              Which is opposite to their policy.

                I have not received my deposit refund where in the other tenants have got it. Owner has delisted the property. I have moved out of the property on june 2 and paid all the bills. Now i can see additional duplicate bills charged to me and late payment fee added to my dashboard. I have raised tickets and there is no one to respond or solve the issue.
                I have sent details to apm but there is no response and does not answer calls.
                I was told the security deposit will be paid withing 7 working days and its been 1 month now. My other co tenants have already got the amount. Despite leaving the property i can see rent and previous dues which is exceeding the deposit amount

                  I moved out of NestAway on 14 june and there was a supposed security amount of 26k pending. They deducted my 15k for some electricity bill that has not been paid since an year before I moved in and i like in 3 people flat so no one paid that bill and since I was moving out they deducted that amount from me. I have raised complaints tried to reach out to various ground staff but to no help.
                  Nestaway has tendency to annoy their customer base and irritate to the point where customer just gives in and let them have a money because no one has the patience to deal with this sort of behaviour.
                  I was not informed before deduction and was not informed about why whole amount was deducted from me.
                  further I was never informed that this is a bill I was suppose to pay because this bill comes under maintanince which nestAway takes care off.
                  I have no idea what is happening here and with covid and salary cuts 15k is a good amount for me which I can not afford to loose.
                  please help me out here

                    Rented room with nestaway (House id: 69823) in september. Noticed red flags immediately. Room and house were not cleaned. Fridge was broken and useless. The water geyser was broken. Pipes were blocked with scaling and sand.ac power socket leaked whenever it rained, a major hazard. So i rejected the move in checklist.

                    Now, 10 months in, the ac still leaks, the water heater still doesnt work. Water trickles through the pipes in my bathroom. Freezer door is missing. Main door keys have still not been provided.
                    Ac still needs repair.

                    Rental agreements are archaic and provide no recourse to tenants.

                    I have withheld rent for june and july. I received a prompt call asking me to pay rent but when i asked about all the other issues, they, again, promised to call back in 48 hours. That was 4 days ago. And now i have received an "eviction process initiated" message.

                          I m living in nestaway property since 2 years, and since then nestaway troubling us for every single issue..
                          Our washing was having issue, that we got replacement of in last year.. Owner told us it is given by them, not by nestaway.. Nestaway added charges for washing machine on our dashboard..
                          Since then we are contacting nestaway and asking for help.. We created ticket for the same.. Nestaway was not helping us on resolving ticket but they are increasing fine on washing machine charges daily by 100 rs..
                          Finally our ticket got resolved by nestaway in april and after that we paid washing machine charges. But after payment as well, late fee charges kept on increasing.

                          I asked to waive off the unnecessary late fee charges, after raising so many concerns with nestaway late fee charges reduced to 3400 where as for my all other flatmates all late fee charges have been waived off.

                            This is regarding the house id -125388

                            I have bee charged rs 3628+719 for the water bill for april and may month.

                            First of all it was not intimated that there will be any water charges in this building. And even if they faced shortage, we were never informed about this.

                            My building has 36 apartments.
                            So technically 2105*37= rs 75780 is the amount which nestaway has paid for one month's water? Do you have the bills for the same?

                            2. It states that there were 25 water tankers for april month. So hence does it mean that each water tanker costed 77885/25= rs 3031?

                            This is highly unrealistic.
                            Please provide the clarity and proper bills to justify the same since no customer would pay such unrealistic bills without any proof.

                            I have asked for proper bills which they failed to provide. I even requested for vendor details so that i could check myself with them. But since then i'm waiting for their response.

                            Just to illustrate, i'm resharing you the multiple ticket numbers which are opened for the same and also attaching some screenshots which could make any customer doubtful about the kind of services which is being provided by nestaway.

                              Jan 17th update: i should make a blog eh?
                              The move-in checklist is still in the rejected state. I guess nestaway is not bothered at all. The water motor literally breaks every 5 to 6 days. This is after i was told they spent 3k on repairs. I call bull.
                              The fridge did not have a door covering the freezer part and they had the gall to ask us to pay for the part. Meanwhile the move-in checklist is still in the rejected state.
                              There is so much sand in the plumbing that half the house does not get running water.

                              To give credit where its due, they did switch on the lift. Everything else in the building is derelict.

                              Re-uploading pictures. Don't know what happened tot he old ones.

                              Nov 30th update: i got an electrical shock due to water leakage from an electrical socket for which i raised service tickets 2 and a half months ago.

                              I raised service requests with nestaway and they have yet to take any action.
                              When it rains, the whole area smells of sewage, the electrical sockets leak and water pour out of them with a high risk of short circuit or electrocution.
                              The house is not clean at all. The lift is out of order permanently. Even after nestaway claims they cleaned it, the pictures attached say otherwise.

                                I have moved out of the bangalore house on may 30th, 2020. As per nestaway policy, they are supposed to refund the security deposit within 7 days. It has been more than a month and i am yet to receive the money.
                                I emailed their support team multiple times; they replied just once and kept silent for my follow-up.
                                I feel that nestaway is treating me poorly as a customer with their don't-care attitude.

                                  I, indranil basu moved out from nestaway apartment a106, fresh living, madhapur, hyderabad 500081 on june 6th after completion of 6 months lock in period. My friend vacataed the premises and handed over the key to one of the neighbours.in due course nestaway person came and took the key from the neighbour. My rent was rs 21000 per month and i had a deposit of rs 42000.

                                  Even after 1 months, i have not received a single rupee refund from nestaway, although nestaway was agreed to return rs 34000. Even on june 20, i got a communication from them that they have processed my refund. Till today, july 3rd, i have not received any refund.

                                  This is a clear case of fraud.

                                  I want to take legal actgions against nestaway.

                                    I was a resident of at one of the properties through nestaway technologies for around 1.5 years, i occupied the apartment on 31/07/2018 and left the apartment on 07/06/2020. By nestaways’s policies, i should’ve received my refund, latest by 18/06/2020. However it’s been 25 days post by move out, that nestaway has not refunded the amount nor has it updated me with any proper communication over email or through its application. The application and services have a policy of raising service request and i have raise service requests over time with no probable outcome or response with a date of refund, i’ve followed up repeatedly by raising numerous concerns overtime and feel that i’m being cheated out of my money at this given point in time.
                                    The calculation of refund has been miscalculated in the app as well - according the application, following is the breakdown-
                                    Bill
                                    1. Your balance with nestaway or owner (This is the money you gave as security deposit.)
                                    ₹ 25832.38
                                    2. Pending dues till date (Rent + previous dues) this is your previous pending rent and dues.
                                    ₹ 706.0
                                    3. Charges applied for early move-out (Applied as you are moving out before the 6 months lock-in period.)
                                    ₹ 1978.8
                                    Repair and maintenance charges ₹ 0.0
                                    Credits ₹ 0.0
                                    Total amount ₹ 23147.58

                                    Please note point no 3 is not to be applied in my bill because my living duration in the nestaway property has been more than 6 months. Therefore the recalculated amount in refund should be -
                                    ₹ 25126.38.

                                    I have been trying to reach the customer care for the clarification of the same however there has been no response or refund

                                      This is in regards to the property that i booked via nestaway. Property name was neelima west located at 774, 23rd cross road, hsr sector 7, bengaluru karnataka.

                                      The day we moved in the house was is pathetic condition. It was not at all painted and repaired, (Proof attached in the attachment).

                                      The area manager who was appointed to us left the company and no one was appointed thereafter to resolve our complaints. The miseries reached peak during the time of check out, new area manager appeared from no where they had never made any contact with us during the whole tenure. We handed the keys and left the house in a better condition in which it was given to us.

                                      Its been more than 2 week now since the day we left the house. As per contract it is clearly mentioned that the deposit will be refunded within 1 week after the tenant vacate the house, however we have not received any penny back from them.

                                      Not only that they are not responding to phone calls, messages, emails etc. Hence we approach social media channels like twitter and facebook. To make our problems bigger we found out that their social media page is full of such complaints and they are fooling working class people and students from quite a long time now. Hence we decided to lodge a complain on this forum.

                                      The main allegations are:
                                      1: they have breached the signed agreement.
                                      2: they don't provide proper breakdown of the deposit refunded.
                                      3: they deducte extraneous amounts for eg in our case house was not painted when it is given to us. Still the are manager said that painting charges of rs 15000 will be deducted from our security in order to provide new tenants the painted house. (As a matter of fact, new tennant have already moved in, and have received unpainted house)

                                      I have vacated my house on 15th june 2020. The manager has also inspected the house on 14th and 15th june 2020. They have charged us 15k for painting charges well before the inspection. Now i can not see the charges they are cutting from the deposit since i have moved out. When we moved in we were not given a painted house, hence we don't expect a cut of 15k from our deposit for painting as the house is in a similar condition. I have raised the request for removing the painting charges. After many tweets, they have resolved that service request with a comment - "if you have any written confirmation or any sort of proof that house was not painted during move in, please raise a new service request with the same so that we will check & remove the same charges". I have even showed the owner while moving-in that the house was not painted.in the agreement, it is clearly mentioned that painting has to be got done by the owner.

                                      Regarding the refund of deposit money, i haven't received the breakup of the charges they will be deducting from my deposit neither i have got my deposit money back. The new tenants have already occupied the house now. And nestaway has not given them a painted house despite deducting 15k from our deposit.

                                      My next destination will be police station for filing an fir against them for not returning y deposit money.
