Hello,
I, indranil basu moved out from nestaway apartment a106, fresh living, madhapur, hyderabad 500081 on june 6th after completion of 6 months lock in period. My friend vacataed the premises and handed over the key to one of the neighbours.in due course nestaway person came and took the key from the neighbour. My rent was rs 21000 per month and i had a deposit of rs 42000.

Even after 1 months, i have not received a single rupee refund from nestaway, although nestaway was agreed to return rs 34000. Even on june 20, i got a communication from them that they have processed my refund. Till today, july 3rd, i have not received any refund.

This is a clear case of fraud.

I want to take legal actgions against nestaway.

Attaching the last communication from Nestaway regarding refund. They clearly mentioned that they have processed the Security Deposit Amount on June 20, 2020. Today is July 3rd, 2020 and I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SINGLE RUPEE OF MY SECURITY DEPOSIT.

Please let me know how I can take Legal Actions against them

    I was a resident of at one of the properties through nestaway technologies for around 1.5 years, i occupied the apartment on 31/07/2018 and left the apartment on 07/06/2020. By nestaways’s policies, i should’ve received my refund, latest by 18/06/2020. However it’s been 25 days post by move out, that nestaway has not refunded the amount nor has it updated me with any proper communication over email or through its application. The application and services have a policy of raising service request and i have raise service requests over time with no probable outcome or response with a date of refund, i’ve followed up repeatedly by raising numerous concerns overtime and feel that i’m being cheated out of my money at this given point in time.
    The calculation of refund has been miscalculated in the app as well - according the application, following is the breakdown-
    Bill
    1. Your balance with nestaway or owner (This is the money you gave as security deposit.)
    ₹ 25832.38
    2. Pending dues till date (Rent + previous dues) this is your previous pending rent and dues.
    ₹ 706.0
    3. Charges applied for early move-out (Applied as you are moving out before the 6 months lock-in period.)
    ₹ 1978.8
    Repair and maintenance charges ₹ 0.0
    Credits ₹ 0.0
    Total amount ₹ 23147.58

    Please note point no 3 is not to be applied in my bill because my living duration in the nestaway property has been more than 6 months. Therefore the recalculated amount in refund should be -
    ₹ 25126.38.

    I have been trying to reach the customer care for the clarification of the same however there has been no response or refund

      This is in regards to the property that i booked via nestaway. Property name was neelima west located at 774, 23rd cross road, hsr sector 7, bengaluru karnataka.

      The day we moved in the house was is pathetic condition. It was not at all painted and repaired, (Proof attached in the attachment).

      The area manager who was appointed to us left the company and no one was appointed thereafter to resolve our complaints. The miseries reached peak during the time of check out, new area manager appeared from no where they had never made any contact with us during the whole tenure. We handed the keys and left the house in a better condition in which it was given to us.

      Its been more than 2 week now since the day we left the house. As per contract it is clearly mentioned that the deposit will be refunded within 1 week after the tenant vacate the house, however we have not received any penny back from them.

      Not only that they are not responding to phone calls, messages, emails etc. Hence we approach social media channels like twitter and facebook. To make our problems bigger we found out that their social media page is full of such complaints and they are fooling working class people and students from quite a long time now. Hence we decided to lodge a complain on this forum.

      The main allegations are:
      1: they have breached the signed agreement.
      2: they don't provide proper breakdown of the deposit refunded.
      3: they deducte extraneous amounts for eg in our case house was not painted when it is given to us. Still the are manager said that painting charges of rs 15000 will be deducted from our security in order to provide new tenants the painted house. (As a matter of fact, new tennant have already moved in, and have received unpainted house)

      I have vacated my house on 15th june 2020. The manager has also inspected the house on 14th and 15th june 2020. They have charged us 15k for painting charges well before the inspection. Now i can not see the charges they are cutting from the deposit since i have moved out. When we moved in we were not given a painted house, hence we don't expect a cut of 15k from our deposit for painting as the house is in a similar condition. I have raised the request for removing the painting charges. After many tweets, they have resolved that service request with a comment - "if you have any written confirmation or any sort of proof that house was not painted during move in, please raise a new service request with the same so that we will check & remove the same charges". I have even showed the owner while moving-in that the house was not painted.in the agreement, it is clearly mentioned that painting has to be got done by the owner.

      Regarding the refund of deposit money, i haven't received the breakup of the charges they will be deducting from my deposit neither i have got my deposit money back. The new tenants have already occupied the house now. And nestaway has not given them a painted house despite deducting 15k from our deposit.

      My next destination will be police station for filing an fir against them for not returning y deposit money.

          I lived in a nestaway run property for 8 months. Upon move out, i was made to pay 1 week notice fee and 15000 painting charges. After all these payments and deductions were made, on the day of the move out, no nestaway personnel were present to inspect the move out, evaluate the condition of the property or to take handover of the house keys. They made me come a week later to one of their offices which was 27km away from me to hand the keys back to them.

          Now it has been one month and i still have not received a single email or formal communication from them regarding the 48000 security deposit they have taken from me at the time of moving. I received one call 10 days ago saying that there were some deductions and pending electricity bill for which i will receive about 25000 to the bank account details i have provided on their website.

          I have escalated the complaint to the highest level and still not received an update.

            We have raised a complaint 6 days ago for an electrician to visit and check our home. The local electricity board have visited and they confirmed the meters are fine but the internal wiring needs to be checked. We have lost our 4 appliances due to this short circuit and in the nights there is no power. I was assigned a nestaway electrician but he was not bothered to visit my home. I beg you guys to look into this and visit our home today to fix it. We are afraid and staying without power since 6 days now.

              Hi,

              Its been 2 months that i left the rented house in noida and around 15 days of inspection but still my security deposit of 31k has not been given to me.
              They were not able to do inspection due to lockdown so even after two months leaving the house, they dis not pay me security amount and assured me that after inspection it will be given back to me but thats not true.
              They are not picking up the phone and not even replying the mails.

                    Myself owner of a flat who provided his flat to nestaway for rental purpose.
                    Its been 1 month tenant has vacated the flat, but nestaway has not handed over the keys to me, nor they have completed formalities like final settlement, house deep cleaning, performing repair works, utility bill payment etc.
                    Despite multiple folloups over email, none of above mentioned pending points have been actioned. Team member not even available over phone as if work from home in this pandemic situation for nestaway associates means only stay at home.
                    I would like to express my views on this platform & urge people not to handover property to nestaway.

                          1. My Agreement was Fixed rent but which i am not getting from Feb 2020
                          2. My Initial Agreement was on Oct - 2018 so from Oct-2019 i am suppose to get increment of 7% which i haven't got till now but Nestaway is collecting from Tenents

                            Hi, I have vacated the rented flat from Nestaway on 30th April, 2020. I have booked one bed in B-804, MJR Pearl last year in Feb, 2019 by putting Security deposit of Rs. 14, 700/-. As per the agreement my security deposit should be in refunded immediately.

                            It is going to 2 month from the day i vacated the room. Every inspection has been already done but still there is no refund of my security deposit.

                            I want you guys to look into this issue as soon as possible.

                              I have received the worst service from you guys for my own money.
                              This is probably the 50th time i have been trying to reach out to you for my own money. My deposit has to be refunded but i still did not receive it and it's been more than 15 days.

                              It is really tough in this pandemic situation to move into another house as my money is stuck with you guys.

                              Could you please on priority get this sorted out? It is your responsibility to get this sorted. I would be forced to take a legal action against you as i have all the rights to do so as per the agreements.

                                  I am the owner of a flat on accurate wind chimes. We have given the flat to nest away with a agreement of i will receive 25k rent even if the house is vacant. For a year they paid me the rent but not maintenance. After a year when they had to renew the agreement and increase the rent as per previous agreement they denied increasing rent. And they said that the same agreement cannot be given. Apart from this they said that they have paid one year maintenance amount to the association (Without taking my consent). I have already paid the same amount to them from my end. When i contacted the association they said that nestaway never paid them. It's been 6 months now i have been asking nest away to help me with a receipt of the amount paid to accurate and i have not received anything. They have stopped paying me rent and there is no agreement that was renewed. I am bearing heavy loss specially during this covid situation. Please help me with this. My number is [protected]

                                    I am a former nestaway tenant who moved out of the property with id number 29702 on the 14th of june 2020 since then no body has come to inspect the property and moreover there has been no transfer of the security deposit of 27000+ 3000 for the days not stayed at the property for june. Moreover i have written several mails to the nestaway customer care mail but no reply received moreover i have raise a customer care ticket cc_08401510 but the issue has not been resolved moreover my nestaway property manager doesn't pickup my calls. I want an immediate transfer of the security deposit otherwise i'll be filing an rti.

                                      On 30th may 2020 i received an e-mail from nestaway employee prashanth j that the property on which i am staying is getting offboarded from nestaway.in the next email i informed him that i am not interested in continuing with nestaway and i prefer staying in the existing building. Then he informed me that i will receive the deposit back within 7 working days. Right now i haven't received my deposit and also they are not picking the call as well as not replying back to my emails

                                        Hi I m a tenant of nestaway house, I rented a place in banglore for 5000/m and paid a security deposit of 20k ... I stayed in the house for a month only as there was no water. Everyday there was water issues and power scarcity there was no safety. I had no water to flush ### or even wash my hands. The house was on the 5th floor with no lift. During rainy season water flooded inside my room and all my documents and stuff was damaged in water. Everyday I used to go to my frnds place to take shower or even cook food days after there was a lot of issues going on. I had to vacate the house hoping that nestaway will help me with some solution but no help was provided.

                                        My house was given to someoen else without my consent. I tried helping the new tenant and I agreed to click on move out button. Later I was told that I had not paid rent for 3mnths and I told them to settle the amount from the deposit. I later bought a rented apartment in btm through nestaway now the building is been take over by zipro due to similar issues with nestaway.. nestaway is not giving my deposit money given for the new house. And they claim that I m supposed to pay the rent for the old house which is already given to someone else. I m bankrupt at the moment and all my savings was used to give the deposit. I tried calling their CUSTOMER CARE but now response a lady named osma got in touch later she blocked my calls please help me with the request what should I do please help me this is what the company is doing to a lot of people
