Booked a cab from gurgaon's sector 48 to delhi's mandi house, the total bill showed up was in range of 350-450/- but when the actual bill was generated it turned out to be inr 847, post which i enquired with customer care and they said they have the proof that it was shown to me as inr 847 while doing the booking. Now my concerns are : 1) how it shows the exact bill amount, it never shows on the booking page, but it simply gives an approximate amount which can be charged for that journey. 2) the proof that they are talking about is nothing but the invoice, now in which dictionary does the invoice means the tariff shown & not the actual bill that is generated. I started getting customer care calls harassing me to pay or else face the legal consequences. Upon my enquiring with customer care after 6 -7 months, customer care says we do not have record of bookings which are more than 6 months old. So upon asking for further resolution, they said you have to pay the entire amount or else go the legal way, where on earth is this the kind of reply that is being given to the consumer??? Tats exactly these so called 'indian' startups arent witnessing the growth they generally dream of because of their flawful policies and pathetic customer tackling methods.
I just got cheated by OLA. An estimated fare of 140/- but charged Rs 277/- for an 8kms ride due to more than normal fares. An increase of 200% on a Sunday afternoon.
