Ok. So this happened on the same day as i am writing this post. I saw one ad of galaxy s9+ which was quoted for 25000 rupees. Seemingly a good deal, i contacted the person. I live in nagpur and ofcourse i would only browse local ads as i don't deal with different cities. This person also had his ad posted in an area near me. So i sent him an offer of 20000 which he accepted and sent me his number.

This is where the fun thing starts.

When i called him, he said that he's now transferred to jaipur and doesn't live in nagpur anymore. So he will courier me the phone and i should send him half of the money. I insisted him that i can't send him a single penny until i have the phone in my hand and i want a face to face deal. To that he said " jaipur aajao aisa hai to.." mene bola bhai teri advertise nagpur ki thi isislye contact kiya maine, warna why would i have contacted him. He sent me all his details like aadhar card, army canteen card and bill of the phone. (All of which were fake). I didn't doubt him until now but then i checked the bill. It said customer name as "yaqub khan" but the guy i was talking to was jaikishan as on his fake # cards.

He said that yaqub was his friend, i still wasn't sure that he's a scammer. He said i am going to the courier office now and will send you the receipt of the courier after i send him half of the money on his paytm number. (His paytm number: [protected]) i think i was saved because i had decided that i will make the full payment until i get the phone. That's why i didn't send him any money.

Please be aware guys. Do not make online transactions or something like " half money before recieveing the product and half after recieveing."

Always make face to face deals on olx and only make cash payments or paytm only if it's urgent. Never make bank wire transfer. They can even scam you by asking you for your account number and ifsc code. And beware of such people who offer expensive things at cheap rates and ask you to send him money.

These people are very clever. All the documents look so real that even i was fooled. If i had money in my paytm, i might have sent him the money.

Also olx, i would like you to make aadhar based verification necessary while making an account on your website. This will reduce half of the scams, because right now anyone can make an account by using just a phone number, which is very easy to obtain.

इस आदमी का नाम मोहम्मद मोहसिन है, ये एक ग्रुप चलाता था २ साल पहले जो इसने ४-५ सालों से बना रखा था, कमोडिटी मार्किट में ये टिप्स देता था। २०१६ में इसने एक स्कीम बनाई कि आप लोग अपना पैसा जमा करो और ये उनके बदले ट्रेडिंग करके आपस में पैसा बाँट देगा। दिसंबर २०१६ के बाद ये फ़ोन उठाना बंद कर दिया, जब इसके पास लाखों रुपये आ गए, और पैसा ले कर चम्पत हो गया। चूँकि उसका ग्रुप ४-५ सालों का था तो इसने लोगों के बीच विश्वास जमा लिया था इससे उसको पैसा जमा करने में हिचकिचाए नहीं।

कृपया शेयर करके इस धोखेबाज़ को पकड़वाने में मदद करें। ये [protected] नंबर का मोबाइल अभी चला रहा है, जो पैसे मांगते हैं उसको ब्लॉक कर देता है।

Jai kishan saying is an army man in rajasthan military canteen gave ad on olx of iphone 6s... I contacted him... He said he is now posted in rajasthan but if am interested in buying phone he can send it to pune... He requested to give at least 5000 so that he can send phon by overnite courier.. After giving 5k... He called and said as phone is from army canteen so we have to give half of money before delivery... I again gave as he has sent his id as army man... After some time saying that i m posting your order and if you want it pay the full amount it's army policy... Can't handover with full payment... We gave... But after half n hr again... I denied this time... I have id which he gave and call record... Please take an action... As i have seen same kind of complaint against him...

I saw the ad in olx for gate books, i offer to a seller he gave me his phone no. And tell his paytm no. And he say that send money i will send books. I send money rs.2000/- on last month. But we don't get any books till now. We don't know his adress. He gave only mobile no. I call him and message him so many times but he didn't lift any call. Seller's phone no.[protected]. We don't know about seller except this phone no. We trust in olx and...

Same thing happened with me...13300 rs gaye mere bhi..

Cyber crime me ek officer hai who can help us.. But he is charging for that... Can we guys join and pay him his fees to catch him?

@olx_india world's most worst company having so many frouders and always support them, may be they have set a commission from them. Never use olx. They will fo fraud with you and never reply.

I excahnge my samsung a8 mobile + 2600 with samsung s6 edge with a person (Name:srinath sp, mobile no.[protected]) 2 days ago via olx. He checked him thoroughly by himself and then exchanged it. He satisfied with my samsung a8 mobile. Now after 2 days he is calling me again and again and using abusing language and asking for refund. He is also threatening me to lodge a police complaint for fraud. I don't know what to do. Please help with this.

Very disappointed with olx just got schemed from a fraud user on ur olx i lost my 13500 rs but no one helps me really i do have all the evidence which shows he is a fraud and using a fake identity of so called alok jaitawat mobile# [protected] and stating himself as a thal sena (Indain army officer) its a shame that a fraudster is using an indian army person identity and u guys the olx is just in a rush to raise their revenue and nothing else i know i am not getting my money back but i dont want any other innocent to be scammed your responsible "olx" for this situation few person are posting frequent ads on olx with same pics and description and the medium used was olx i have attached recent ad. Kindly stop this malpractice and take strict action as soon as possible.

I was purchasing online digital games from the user named - ak ps4 (Seller) on olx and he showed me images from previous buyers transferring amount to prove it is genuine. I transferred 2500 into his paytm account. He did not provide me the login details and blocked my number. Unable to reach the seller. He has frauded many such people.

Please help me in getting my money refunded.

Sir iam shibaji Acharya my no is (protected) i have just find an ad on OLX user name ypg9f iPhone 6s in 14000 i went for it and seller send me some army photos to believe on him and send an amount. 4000 to Paytm account name Overnite express courier and then he told me to pay full payment. Amount that he will give me the product but after playing the money i haven't get the product sir i have loss my 14000 how can get it back pls help me

About three months ago i bought a nikon d850 dslr, as it was a very expensive camera (2.43 lakh), i coudn't pay the emi on time so i decided to sell it on olx so i posted the add on 11th june and people started asking about the features, warranty and price, but later on a guy name billy hart asked me if it's available and he agreed to pay 2.15 lakh for the camera and asked me to ship it for her sister who is in u. S. A through dhl courier service, first he asked my bank details and i gave him that through whatsapp and then after a while i recieved a mail from penfed credit union bank stating that i have to complete the shipment and have to send the reciept of the shipment as a proof and then they will transfer the amount into my bank account within 2 to 24 hours, as the shipment completed and i gave them the reciept they asked me to wait until the shipment status changes to 'dispatched' then they will transfer the amount 226'000 (2.16 lakh + 10'000 courier charges) as the shipment status changed i recieved another mail stating that i have to pay 15100 inr due to the financial policy i have to pay the amount to the security and exchange board of india (Sebi) thenafter that instantly they will transfer the amount, i asked mr. Billy for help and after a lot of discussion he asked me to pay 10100/- inr and the rest 5000/- will be payed by him, so i asked my friends for help and i paid the amount, i mailed them the transaction id as well as the reciept of the transaction, after few hours i got another mail stating that i have to pay 40'000 inr because when they contacted my bank for routing transit number to complete the transaction but my bank couldn't provide that so instead of that they gave swift code which is used for international transactions, so either i have to pay 40'000 inr or otherwise they won't complete the transaction,

Later on i discovered that soon they will have my camera as it was already dispatched from india to usa and they have that money i sent.

Please help me with this.

It's a Big FRAUD SCAM going on in Bangalore of selling second hand product like washing machine & fridge and making fool to the customer. I bought Wirpool Top Load washing machine 6.2 Kg from them(Unique Enterprises: Owner Name Salman([protected]) and Service person name Naasir([protected])), they sent me damaged product, from Day 1 itself it's not working. They committed 6 months warranty at door step also you may check in there ad, but they never gave the service nor getting any proper response from them. It's a big harrashment case they don't know how to talk to a girl, as me and my family suffer from 1 month now and every time they committed to provide service or replace in 1-2 days but they never did. Request you to the OLX Forum to take strict action to avoid such fraud ID and help other consumer to save from scam. And please make this information very important to avoid bigger damage in person against these FRAUD people.

Sir, I am anmol kumar my no is [protected], I have just find an ad on olx named iphone 6s in 14000, I went for it and seller sent me some army id and photos to belive on him and I sent an amount of 3000 to a paytm account named overnite express courier and then he told me to pay full amount that he will give me the product but after paying the money I haven't get the product, sir I have lost my 14000 how can I get it back, pls help me, here is the details in attachment .

I didn't expect such a issue from olx.
My issue is, i was searching for a cat, then i got a dealer from olx.
I shared my mobile number after few hours he messaged by whats app. He showed me some pictures of kittens and forced to purchase it. I agreed to purchase 2 kittens. He told to send name and address of my details. After that he told to pay some token money. He was forcing to pay the money, if you doesn't pay money i will sell to another one. I accepted to sum of the money last night at 2.30 am

We are from mega developers. Mr. Deepesh has approached us for a lead generating package through push notification worth rs. 50000. He committed us 600 qualified leads against that package. But we have not received those leads in number as well as quality. Most of the people even said that we have not made any enquiry. Upon approaching mr. Deepesh, initially he ignored us and later on he came with his manager mr. Vivek choudhary and assured us that he will do some extra activity to generate more leads. Attached is the mail he sent us on 22nd march. We received few more inquiries which was again the waste not fuilfilling the criteria budget as well as location. Adding to this the kind of service we received from mr. Deepesh is worst. He every time forget to renew our ads and many a times they said our ad was not live due to some technical problem. Now it's already been 2 months but we have not received any reply later. Really upset with the kind of service olx gives. Never recommend or continue business with olx.

Around 3 weeks ago I registered for the membership of perfect management consultancy from Thane. I got a call from Priya and Arya and they both convinced me a lot to take up their plan. I told them u send the candidate I will then pay, but then they gave me the world of assurance that they will give the best service. Finally I paid 2000/- and luckily only took 6 month membership while she was forcing me for 1 year. However from that day it has been over 3 weeks they have failed to send a single candidate. And are only giving me false promises that the candidate is on his way. Now last one week they have even stopped answering my calls when I asked for a refund. Shameless Priya told me that we have give in writing to you that if you are not satisfied with our service we will give you full refund in 3 months so wait for 3 months now. I told her I have not taken any service of yours so where is the question of not being satisfied. Now from that day she is always busy or in train and does not respond. Pls look into the matter and help me get my refund.

These peoples are doing fraund by selling mobile in cheap prices. I contact two of the seller and both said they are from Jaisalmer Indian Army Cant. You have to send advance money before delivery and half payment after delivery they will post by Army Postal Service Courier. And the id proofs they provided are same as they provided to the customer which filed a complaint against them before. I didn't pay them money because i googled it and find a same case on this website by same people. So they are the same group, frauding everywhere in india by telling they are from Indian Army. There location is Aligarh, Etawah (UP) and Bodri on OLX. There are contacts no. of them [protected] and [protected]

Seller name is sanjay Singh and he is a fraud seller. He told me that he is a army officer and said he will be couriering the phone through "Overnite express couriers". He asked for an advance and I become a victim of fraud after sending 5000 rs rupees through Paytm. There are so many people lost the money by this seller. He will be sending ID cards to make us believe. Army office number = [protected] and curiour boy number= [protected]

Seller name is Vikram Waghmare and he is a fraud seller. He told me that he is a army officer and said he will be couriering the phone through "Overnite express couriers". He asked for an advance and I become a victim of fraud after sending 1010 rupees through Paytm. There are so many people lost the money by this seller. He will be sending ID cards to make us believe. Please don't send any advance amount to anyone while buying through OLX. The OLX has to take some serious actions on this. This fraud guy uses another i.e, " Rahul Sharma".
