    Hi

    I have bought a new ONIDA LCD TV two weeks back from Star Electronics, Tirupur. After purchased the TV, I have given my address and phone no. for delivery. It has been delivered to my house and next day I got a call from Onida service centre in Tirupur, asking for the purchase of the product and demo and operations of the same. Phone no. [protected]. It had been gone for one week and took time off from my work, waiting at home for the service engineer the time he said he will be attending the demo of my LCD. Except phone calls nothing happened. On 19/10/2009 again went to the shop were I brought the product and registered a complaint for the service engineer to attend. On 21st of October 2009 around 1pm a call received from the Onida TV servicing centre asking for the address verification to send the service engineer. Phone no.[protected]. All these days just kept the TV unoperational, waiting for the service engineer to attend and nothing happened . After this drama, I told them I will be availble at home on every day between 12 to 1 pm. On 22/10/2009, a post card size printed letter left on the milk bag kept at the gate saying that " Your house locked about 2.57 pm. and a phone no.[protected], Please confirm our availability with us again". No phone call, no response till today morning (24/10/2009) At around 9.45 am again a call came from the landline no.[protected] asking for the availabilty to send the service engineer. By this time all the patience and calmness gone as I had been waiting for them wasting my time and work.

    The TV has been droped at the shop where I bought around 12.35pm today. Even with out any shame the service engineer and the Servicing firm "JAYAM TRONIKS" people called up and asked to service it tomorrow 25th Ocotober. Even after the product has been returned, no response from the shop or service people from Onida.

    The same case is with a 6kg ONIDA washing machine which I bought last year from Ehzamalil Agencies, Kottayam, Kerala. After puchasing the washing machine,service engineers called up continuously to extend the time and even at one point of time, the service engineer thrown all abusive languages to my brother who asked for the demo of the product.

    I already have an LG washing machine and a Refrigerator from another agency, which I bought a year back. Believe it or not It has been droped at my house at around 9.30 pm with the service engineers from LG. When I asked to the Onida service center, it has been infomed me that they will not work after 5.30pm. What a contrast.

    So before buying any ONIDA product, ready to be get abused and testing of your temper.

    Never go for Onida LCD TV... Their LCD TV is worst.. I purchased Onida Xaria in Oct. 2009. In Nov. 2010 the display was gone.. I asked the customer care.. they are telling it will cost 7, 500/- to repair as the Display Panel has gone.. What is the worth purchasing the TV of which gives such complain within a limited span of time.
    I HAVE PURCHASED AN ONIDA 22 XARIA IN 2009.AFTER THE END O WARRANTY PERIOD OF SERVSE ITS DISLAY FAILED. AFTER THE REGISTRATION OF COMPLAINED THE SERVICE ENGINEER ADVISED ME TO REPLACE THE DMAGED DISPLAY PANEL @7500. NOW I FED UP WTH THEIR SERVICE BECAUSE IT AGAIN FELL IN PROBLEM. NOW I TOTALLY COLLAPSED. THEY ONLY LACKING THE POCKET OF CONSUMERS THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS ETHICS. ALL MOST ALL CONSUMERS ARE THE SAME TRAP. SO I HUMBLE REQUEST YOU TO DONT FALL IN THE TRAP OF ONIDA APPLIANCES.

        We bought an onida 29 inch oxygen tv 3 years back and recently it started showing those rainbow patches out of no reason and after 2 days when the service personnel was contacted he came over and gave us a report that the picture tube has gone. A picture tube replacement will cost us more than half of the buying price of the tv. so we decided to go for a new one BUT NOT ONIDA THIS TIME FOR SURE. Are your products designed to become out of order just after the warranty period? is there anything the company can do about the issue? I know the most probable answer will be no and know that the company is not responsible for problems after the warranty period. Anyways it took us about 17k but only three years to know the dependability of your products and the company's credibility.

        Indiatimes Shopping — Unacceptable time taken for delivery

        I placed an order for a HandyCam on 3rd of July. I got a couple of calls on 5th and 6th July for verification. I gave all the details to them. After that I did not hear a thing and finally called them on 12th of July. Then they told me that the order has been shipped and will reach me within 2-3 days. It is 15th July today 10:09 PM and I have no sign of my Camera. When I check the courier tracking, it is lying in Panipat(Haryana) since 13th July.

        Basically, I have already waited for 12 days since I placed my order. And they charge Rs 200 for this pathetic shipping system.

        What is the fun of shopping online if this is the speed they use to send out the details. I have purchased items from FutureBazaar earlier and believe me they sent it within 3 days. Most of the companies use BlueDart for shipping and it is the best I have seen till now.

        IndiaTimes should be ashamed of itself.

        Onida TV — NOT WORKING PROPERLY

        SIR, I HAVE PURCHASED THE ONIDA TV ON DT 26/4/08. FROM A AUTHORISED DEALER, WITH ONE YEAR WARRANTY, AFTER 8 MONTH A MAJOR FAULT OCUR IN TV, THEY TOOK 10 DAYS TO REPAIR THE TV, I ASKED THEM TO REPLACE THE TV BUT THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE, AGAIN AFTER 5 MONTH TV WAS NOT WORKING, I ASKED THEM TO REPAIR THE TV BUT THEY SAID YOU HAVE TO PAY THE CHARGES FOR REPAIRING, BUT THE DAY FROM WHIVH THEY REPAIR THE TV IT WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLLY . I COMPLAINT TWO TO THREE TIME BUT THEY HAVE NOT GIVEN ANY RESPONSE TO ME. I PAID THE AMOUNT FOR REPAIRING ON DT 2ND AUG 09. AND NOW AGAIN THIRED TIME TV CLOUR IS NOT PROPERLY WORKING, NOW THEY ARE ASKING THE CHARGES FOR REPAIRING, PLEASE GAID ME I HVE WHAT TO DO, SHALL I PAY AGAIN FOR REPAIR THE TV.         Onida — TV does not work more than 1 year

        I have purchase Onida Black 300 (BLD 300 CTV) on 20.01.2008 from Megdoot Electrionic, LBS Road, Ghatkopar. TV tube started display blue spot on the left side with in 6 months. We complaint twice the same to service center since it was under warranty. The Engg visited too but the spot did not appear during his presence of 15 minutes and hence according to him there is no problem and no service/checking was done.

        Now since yesterday my TV is not functioning at all and is completely down. Since it is not under warranty i do not approached service center as it will be chargeable and again i don't want to get the TV repaired which does not even work for 2 years.

        Thru this i want to convey the users not to go for Onida.....

        I had complained about my Onida TV, i feel like cheated, insulted.

        History
        I had bought Onida TV the month of 5th june 2007 at Chennai Jeyachandra store. One year no problem After that one week continuesly one sound (spark) coming offan while working, switch off/on inside the TV after that fully stopped no display.
        Regarding this I have registered compliant in the customer service at Chennai

        One person came and serviced and collected Rs.1500 and extended one year warranty.
        In between this one year many time stopped and many service man came and serviced after complaints through customer service. As usual stopped again. I have registered compliant in the customer service.

        One gentle man came from service centre he asked Rs.2400 to extend one year warranty.
        But really fed up this fellow, and also onida company. I didn’t payed any amount to them. Only gave service charges.


        After that we used regularly call to the service centre and Service manager .He will tell one day and another day we will do it.

        I am really fed up of calling Service Engineer again & again.

        I request to onida please send and rectify with out charges and keep some able persons in prime areas.
        I hope ONIDA will try it's best to maintain the customer faith & esteem. Otherwise I will throw and broken on the main city road in front of media SUN Net work.

        Onida 21'' — Tv Picture Tube problem

        i am very sad about service of your company. i purchased 21 inches colour Tv before 2 months from G.R. Agencies, Gudiyatham Town, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu. i told them so manytimes about this problem but they could not take any action. kindly take immediately action ads soon possible.
        i purchase my onida tv from panvel at 2008 now it generates some picture tube problem it showing stright line either sound working normal.

          Humne jab se ye a/c liya hai, isme kuch na kuch problem humesha rahi hai. Shuru me isme se kai baar paani nikalta tha, fir iski swing bhi ek mahine main kharab ho gai, aur ab ye silently nai chalta hai, poori raat usme se kat-kat awaje aati rehti hai.Humne yaha ke local dealor se bhi kai baar iski shikayat ki hai, lekin waha se bhi koi response nai mil raha hai. Hum apne aap ko thaga hua sa mehsus kar rahe hai, paise koi ped par nai lagta hai jo admi baar-baar aise cheej kharide, agar apki taraf se b koi response nai milta hai to mujhe consumer forum me case karna pad jaega, mujhe ummed hai aap jald hi ispe koi action lenge.

                I bought new Onida 1 ton TRD split ac as on 21/04/2009 from Ketan Electrics Jamnagar. but after 50 days inner machine is roaring and machine closed autometically and display shows error no.6 so I called service person to ketan electronis and he came. After checking the machine he told that motor of blower is failed, so it should be changed. i told no problem because my machine is in warranty period. so he told me to give bill of product and my machine will repaired within 8 to 10 days.But after 15 days they come to my home and take an old motor of blower but its not worked on AC, So they took that back and till today I not received any proper answer from them that when will my AC repaired. When i called to Onida service center at rajkot one person named manish told me that your machine will repaired on 05/10/09 surely, but now a days he is not pick my call and not giving any answer to me, nither Ketan Elec. giving any answer to me. So I am requesting you to do need full for this matter

                  sir,
                  my tv part ws taken for repair by onida service on 17th september and returned after a long period of continuious reminding by 28th. however the problem was not solved, so the second time the the tv part was taken for repair on the 3rd october and till now it has not been returned , despite being promised to be returned on saturday(3rd oct) evening itself. The payment for the repair has already been made and reaching out to them has become extremely difficult.

                    The Onida Power Convection 25 was purchased in Jan.2008 and till last week it was working. But all of a sudden, it is not heating the food etc Despite my repeated conplaints thro' the dealer from whom I purchased the captioned item, M/s. Pandian Home Appliances, No.61, Paper Mills Road, Perambur, Chennai 600 011, TAMIL NADU, the service centre/Customer service centre has not taken any effort to get it repaired.

                      Hi,

                      I think I made the biggest mistake of my life by purchasing an ONIDA TV. I bought a 21" Ultra slim TV in Sept 2009. It’s only over a month and the customer service pathetic. I have called customer care (Bangalore, 4134300) many times, but no one turned up till now. Actually I had a plan to buy the LG or Samsung TV, but the showrooms guys are convinced me with the features of the ONIDA TV model 21NVUSB. Now I think I got trapped by ONIDA, because the main feature which they highlight in that model is USB support, which is not working.

                      I launched a complaint in the customer care regarding the USB connectivity, but there is no support from the ONIDA customer care side after registering the complaint (it is almost 2 weeks over). ONIDA executives will call sometime to my mobile and they fix a time for the service/inspection, but there is no follow-up for the same.

                      My request to all the people who are thinking of buying an ONIDA products, please don’t buy any of ONIDA products, unless if you want to get lot of headache and tension free with their wonderful and world class customer service.

                      ONIDA 29 — Pathetic Customer Service

                      I sudarshan Ddhende purches a 21'' ONIDA T.V from Rajendra departmental store sangvi pune 27.in dec.2008.my T.V.is not working from last one week. i had already given a complent of that your compeny person attnded the call.but the problem is not solve yet if it is not possible plese replace me another T.V.(complaient No.[protected])my cell No is ([protected])
                      Welcome to the Onida family. This should be a lesson for everyone not to purchase Onida products. Why go for these when you have better customer service support from LG and Samsung. These guys need to learn something from Maruti, which provides good service. I also purchased a Oniday 29 Oxygen and the service has been pathetic. I willl never buy Onida again!!

                        I am S.K. Ugamani Singh , recently retired officer from Anna University Chennai. I am a lover of Onida products from my early days. First I purchased a portable TV about 17 years ago and then a 21” colour TV KY series 15 years ago and recently i.e. during 2007 one 2 tone Onida A.C. Model SG24TRD (split A.C.) and during 2008 a 29” colour TV Oxygen 350. I am completely satisfied with these performances.

                        On lst May 2009 I purchased one l.5 tone A.C. ModelS318DMD3 (split A.C.) from M/S. Fomra & Co., LB Road, Adyar, Chennai 600 020 for Rs.24,150/- and the unit was installed by the Onida Service Centre, Chennai (Keerkattalai) on 3.5.2009. After the installation when the unit was switched on by your Technician, both the outdoor unit and the indoor unit started giving unusual sound. The person who installed the unit said he will report to the service centre. But nobody turned up ….then I contacted the person in-charge of the centre Mr. Balaji ([protected]) and reported the same to him. A Technician came after a week and tried to reduce the noise, but he could not do so, he said he will bring the rubber foot for the unit and after a week he came with a rubber foot, but still the noise continued. I reported again to Mr. Balaji, again after a week or so two technicians came to my house for inspecting the unit and they tried to rectify the defect, but they could not do so. They came to a conclusion and said that the “fan motor” has to be replaced. Mr. Balaji also told me that he sent a mail to Bombay office for replacement of “Fan motor”. Meanwhile, I contacted Mr. Balaji three day once. After a month or so a Technician came with a Fan motor and replaced the motor…..but still the unusual noise continued. Then they decided to take the out door unit to their service centre for through check up. After 3 days again the outdoor (serviced unit) was installed, but still to all our surprise, the noise continued. Meantime, it took about 4 months time. Then I again reported the matter to Mr. Balaji and he said he will send a senior technician to inspect both the indoor unit and outdoor unit.

                        The Senior Technician Mr. Anbu visited our house along with his junior technician and thoroughly inspected the units (both out door and indoor units), he said the indoor unit and outdoor units are not serviceable, it might be due some manufacturing defect and he will report the same to the Service Centre for further course of action. I contacted Mr. Balaji again, he said he will report the matter to the Branch Manager at Chennai. I also talked to Mr. Venkatesh at Chennai Regional Office ([protected]), but he does not responded to me, but said Mr. Balaji will take care.

                        Then I came back to Mr. Balaji again and he said I have to talk to Mr. Prakash, the Team Leader and will be take a final decision. I contacted Mr. Prakash ([protected]) on 7.9.2009, he said he has to personally inspect the unit again and take a decision. I invited him to come to my house for inspection. He said he will come one week later. I reminded him on 14.9.2009, he said he will come on 16.9.2009 between 6 to 9 p.m. I contacted him on 16,9,2009 at 7,00 p.m. he said he is on his way to my house. I waited till 9,00 p.m. and contacted him again, he said he is at his home and will come tomorrow to my house for inspection, The same thing continued on 17th and 18th, he promised to come, but he said he was busy with other customers. Then I again talked to him on 19th Sept. and said if you are really interested tell me about your inspection schedule, do not toil me …. I am not a child. Finally, he told me that the Onida has appointed a new person to take of A.C. Unit and asked to contact Mr. Bala and he will solve my problem.

                        I talked to Mr. Bala ([protected]) and I told him the hardship I am experiencing because of the purchase of Onida A.C. He promised to visit my house on 20th Sept. and he came to my house for inspection on 20th Sept. at 4.00 p.m. He inspected the indoor unit and outdoor unit and tried to make some adjustments, but the noise continued. He said he will report the matter to the concerned Onida officials. He asked me two days time to give me a feed back. After a week when I contacted him, he said, I have to again contact Mr. Prakash and he is the deciding officer. I am really vexed to hear this.

                        Anyhow, I called on Mr. Prakash again on 24th Sept. and I told him that Mr. Bala told me that you are the officer to take a final decision. Mr. Prakash told me that he understood my problem and reported all these details to the “Head Office at Bombay” and he is expecting a reply from the Bombay Office.

                        Sir, I know you may be tired of reading my long letter; at the same time you would have understand the hardship, mental and physical torcher I have unnecessarily put in by the Onida Service. But even after the completion of 5 months no decision have been take to replace the defective A.C. Unit.

                        Sir, I have purchased the split A.C. unit to have a peaceful life, with the retirement benefit amount. But I was mentally and physically affected. Till May 2009 I was normal, but due this unwanted mental strain my BP has gone up and my doctor has advised to take BP tablet daily. I lost my health, but still I take with all your Onida people politely with a hope and faith in Ondia that my claim for replacement of A.C. unit will be justified.

                        I have written a complete hardship I have faced till date with a firm hope and belief that my faith will not be let down by Onida. My Lawyer and friends advised me that the matter can be easily resolved in the “consumer court”, but I told them , I have waited for such a long time for justice from Onida and I do hope they will consider my request favourably.

                        I request that since the A.C. unit (outdoor and indoor units) are defective and not serviceable (and it is giving disturbance both to us inside the room and to my neighbours due heavy noise of the outdoor unit) and was giving trouble from the date of installation, both the units may be replaced.

                        I do hope you will consider my request favourable and send suitable order to your Chennai officials to take immediate action for the replacement of the units.

                          I am a senior citizen and retired from Govt service. I regret very much to make this follwoing complaint. I have purchased one onida washing machine in vasanth & co on[protected] Fully Hydromatic (6.2Kg) As this was not working properly, I made a complaint with complaint section on 3-09-09 and my complaint no is 66380103 dt 03-09-09 after some days, one service man came and inspected and said ' a spare part has to be changed and it will take around 10 days'.since nobody turned within 10 days, again i have enquired in help line.They said within next few days, they will come and complete the work. after a week time since nobody came nor informed us for the delay, again i have phoned to them and the one who attended could not help me in anyway.so i insisted kindly give ur higher official phone no. and she gave the number as [protected] (manager, sastry nagar, chennai-20 and wanted me to contact , accordingly i contacted and explained about the difficulties.and he has also assured it will be attended.now it is 25 days over, and regret much, for the poor services rendered ,which was contrary, and against the assurances given at the time of purchasing.I request you ATLEAST, now please take some concrete actions to solve the WASHING MACHINE problem..I trust theONIDA company will realise the difficulties, facing by us and to attend the faults without any further delay

                          I bought an onida sparkle washing machine on february 2011. Now I face problems with its proper functioning.sometimes machine works properly and sometimes automatically stops without completing wash.I tried different washing functionality but the result was same.after washing starts machines fills the tub with water and at the same time it drops water through drainage.However its too hurtful to me and other customers who believes on onida.

                            The dust collector of the machine is required to be replaced.The washing machine is also not cleaning the clothes properly.As such,the service of the machine is to be done.The same was complained on 20.8.09 at mail id panipat.[protected]@adonis.co.in and at Ph. No.[protected]Panipat,Haryana) but even after assurances,the complaint is still pending.



                            Kindly attend it on priority and ask the service engineer to come with the dust collector.

                              I have purchsed Onida Igo TV last year from Gayatri DVDs, Ichalkaranji, Dist-Kolhapur.

                              The TV is having problem since last month.

                              At the same time I had registered the complaint.

                              Your machanic from Ichalkaranji, Dist-Kolhapur had inspection
                              and made some repairy work and without starting the TV set
                              he told to start and it will be OK.

                              Afterwards, the TV is not functioning well.

                              I shall be highly obliged if you send a person to check the TV set.

                                Our 1 Ton split ac is making too much noice.It is 2 yr old.We have given a complait to the company.
                                The c no is[protected] dtd 25th AUG 2009.One mechanic came & said he will come back & repair it.
                                To day is 23 rd Sept 2009.Nothing has happend till now.I even spoke to the local Branch Mgr
                                Mr Omar Sherif.Nothing has happend till now.

                                If we cannot get a AC repaird in a city like Bangalore, I really feel sorry for people who have been
                                duped into buying ONIDA AC in smaller places.I sicerely advice all consumers to think twice before
                                buying ONIDA products.

                                  DVD PLAYER NOT PLAYING DVD.

                                  i have a onida dvd player model no. DFX 5985, from past one month its not functioning properly. Every time a insert a dvd in that its shows a msg 'NO DISK'. but cds are playing without any issue. Tell me what should i do.

                                  I purchased a 1.5 ton Onida window A.C from M/s Kumra Engg. & Electrical works, D-25, Vishnu Garden Extn-5, New Delhi on 16-03-09 making full down payment. The A.C worked satisfactorily till end August-09 after which its compressor did not work and there was no cooling. I lodged a complaint no[protected] dated 2nd Sept-09. One technician came to see the A.C a couple of days after and told that some capacitor is not working and since he has not brought the capacitor he will come next day. He vanished for a week and a new person came after that and told that the compressor is not working and needs to be replaced. He also promised to come the next day but never turned up. On 12th Sept-09 two new set of people came with a compressor and took out the A.C only to realise that they have brought the wrong type of compressor and not brought the Capacitor. Since the A.C was taken out and was spread out in the bed room they promised to come the next day with the right compressor and capacitor. Now it has been a week that the A.C skeleton is lying in the bed room with no one having come. On persistent telephone enquiry I am promised that some one will visit on that day with no solution to my problem in sight.

                                  The company has been in-efficient and callous in dealing with this problem. Their representatives have been giving false promises.

                                  Can some thing be done ?

                                  They use china made second quality compressors...!
                                  Why dont u go for global brands now pricing almost same, sometimes
                                  cheaper than indian brands...
                                  Best Brands are>General, Carrier, Bluestar, Electrolux, GE etc
                                  even LG&Samsung are better...
                                  Indian brands create trouble life long...
                                  They are still studying technology...through experimental products
                                  and you become a victim...

                                    We have bought onida TV past 18 months monthly,but there is lot of complaint,hence we requested onida service centre to sort out the problem,complaint was taken before 20 days,but still there is no proper response from them,we have called them several times but there is no response ,we received answer from them was spare not available,not ready to rectify the problem,TV circuit board was them,product was purchased only 18 months ,warranty also expired,i have said them we ready to pay the cost of repair,but they not taking care,please send this details to concerned person and request them to take necessary action.

                                      Dear sir,
                                      Mr. Gautam owner of RG's Baroda has suggested me to buy Onida's 1.5 T new diamond model.
                                      Now this m/c is very noisy, created lots of problem also there is poor services from RG's.
                                      I was suppose to by Hitachi but Gautam has verbally showed me great features of Onida.
                                      But now I am very unhappy with Gautam his agency RG's & Onida AC.
                                      There is always delayed service from RG's service engineer.
                                      First time it was wrong installation by RG's engineer so I need to change my outer unit position and spent 1500 Rs. more.
                                      Even while first time installation in my balcony, my celing fan was also got damaged due to wrong installation. They do not have sufficient knowledge about installation.
                                      This model of oniad is totally failure & I am very unhappy.
