Hey' i have buyed a set top box from Ortel Communication but they had took the money and not delivering it n also not giving any refund 'please take strict action against them, it is a fraud company .from 5 days complaining about it at office but they are taking no action against it.

    I am a subscriber of ortel broadband and TV combo plan. MEMBERSHIP No. 235162. I am not getting any internet service since 7 days. Almost everyday lodging a new complaint. But they are not taking any action or sending any technician. On the 7th day i.e. today i have already called the customer care thrice. They deliberately keep the phone ringing and don't attend the call. Even if they respond, their one constant assurance is, "sir, ur problem has been forwarded and held for follow up." At the end of the month it feels as if I'm paying for nothing. If there happens to be a problem, they should inform us. They don't do that. They haven't sent any technician after yesterday's complaint in which they assured a visit within 24 hours. The service is worst.

    No calls or emails so far. But they did take initiative by sending technicians thrice for sorting the problem. Finally in their third attempt the technicians found what was wrong and corrected it. The the internet is working fine. Hope it stays that way for long. Thank you consumercomplaints.in team for helping the event accelerate.

    One technician visited us today. But to his dismay he had no idea what the hell was wrong. He looked into the matter for hours but couldn't trace any problem. He quit finally and returned saying, " I'll let the office know." One advice from my side- dear ortel, either learn to resolve the problem soon or cut the connection. Enough o[censored]r awful service!

      my membership no:[protected]Debendra nath pratihari, resident of Puri filled a complain from last 7 days but till now no one from your side contacted so far. my problem is i have taken 2 set top box for my home. but maximum channels in one does not come. so please look into the matter otherwise we will be very unhappy in your service.

          The company has its monopoly over the customers. They take over extra charges towards dth service and doesn't provide the required services. The customer can not exercise their own set of channels. After complaining lot also they doesn't hear the customers problem and instead give bad comments. Whenever we try to disconnect the connection they don't listen and tell many such that you will not disconnect it. More important thing is that it is run by one of the famous rulling leader of the state. So no one tells anything.
          Please take some urgent steps against this monopoly rule.

            New connection but i got old box and always signal strength too poor. No communication from operator. I call many times but they not tecieved i want to cut the line and want to money back. Very bad behaviour from operator tapan. Finally i called but they ignored. Main branch saltlake. I was really harased. Most worst customer support. Please resolve this very quickly. Cut this line and want to money back.

            I am getting very low download speed when its connect to in my home and unlimited plan of 512 kbps speed. i receiving now only below 70kbps max. so no benifits of ortel broadband connection. its cheating to a customer.

              1st. I would rate their service '5stars' the worst service provider in the country.
              I was a customer of skyview since its introduction (Now ortel communication.) but discontinued due to its unparalleled service and get a new connection from tatasky and i'm happy with my choice since 2006. But i made another mistake by taking an internet connection from this stupid org.In 2009 and discontinued its world class service in 2012 but their cunning customer care and marketing executive trapped me by repeatedly calling to get a connection with a false pretense to offer good service 'cos i was unaware of their unmatched service to the customer due to a loong gap.

              So i became a victim and got a connection. The moment they're assured that i'm agreed to take a new connection, their marketing agent started calling me immediately and took the money and told me to get me connected to the net within 24 hours but after 2days and numerous call a tech person came 2days ago and put the modem in my home but after 48 hours of the modem connection i can't even see the 'online led' in the modem.

              The customer care/the tech person/the marketing agent all are telling that its due to some technical problem and will be solved soon. But when?

              These guys are cheaters and they're all paid to cheat the innocent people in orissa. There should be a public awareness to avoid being a part of this cheating business and worst service provider and i would like to appeal to the public to boycott ortel service wherever it provides its worst service and go for any available alternatives.

                My Ortel Customer ID is 01231029.
                The total bill amount of my Ortel Connection is showing Rs 1151.45
                But I have paid Rs 501.00 on 15.06.2016 through SBI Internet Banking.
                The Bank has confirmed the Transaction as Successful vide Transaction Ref No. IG0CEFOHG5 on 15.06.2016 at 6:07 PM.
                Still that has not yet been updated on my Profile of Ortelcom.com website.

                Kindly pay your attention to the said problem and rectify the mistake that's how I will be able to pay the rest amount of Rs 650.45 instead of the wrong amount of Rs 1151.45.

                  Dear sir/ madam,
                  It is very sad to say that we are facing a lot of problem in cable communication. After paying monthly payment to ortel they are giving an error message "subscribe to this channel call us on..." and this problem remains always for a week after paying.In a month i am going to the ortel office for twice or thrice to solve it.

                  Today i went to the office to talk about this but one of the office staff "sitting in a/c chamber" misbehaved with me which is not good. He said if you want to keep the connection just keep otherwise remove it. This is not the way to talk with a customer. I also said remove it, we too don't want to keep your cable connection.

                  Hereby i am attaching the monthly slip of this month.

                  Please see the above matter.

                    Dear sir/ madam,
                    I am debaraj mahapatro/gandhi nagar/ ganjam /760001. My customer no is[protected]. Today i also complained over phone and ref. No is 1780326 ans pass word is -70057.
                    My complain is ; i am a old customer of ortel broadband. I have been regularly paying the bill and availing the service. But since the date i took the connection i can not use internet at my will and pleasure. When i get the modem on then only i can use.
                    Again i was out of state for april and may 2016. I have called the local
                    Costumer care number which they have issued me but they did not respond. And i came home and used net from 29th may 2016. But now i have got a bill of 1800+ with out any use of internet.. If the house is locked /if no internet is used why should i pay the false bill???
                    Again from 29th may the connection is so slow that not even a page could not open or if opens it takes a longer tome.
                    So my request is to issue the correct bill which is to be paid on 14th june as per massage received. Debaraj mahapatro.

                      We requested for a set up box connection but till now we didnt get any updates. I went to there office twice and every time they told me that today it ll be done and then no one will turn up. 1st they took half an hour to search my receipt and documents whether we have submitted or not. Its really painful if some one is give this type of false hopes.

                      If they are not doing then at least they should give a call and inform the customers.

                      They seriously have very poor service.

                        My broadband service is not working.In vizag there is no staff to explain my problem in office and there are not lifting my calls customer care of vizag. Then why you providing net if staff is not there i just need an answer. Worst experience please remove my connection for that also i am unable to contact you. No office no customer care service then you keep an office. Making people fool like me in a month im experienced 3 times like these things. Worst services

                          In spite of repeated complain over phone to customer care center of company about problems as mentioned under subject, they are not responding at all. The problems are continuing as before. They are saying that tomorrow your problems wil. L be solved but nobody is comming to check. I am very worried. Please help me in solving of my problems.                             I have submitted a complain with ortel on 16-may-2016
                            The modem is offline for the past 7 days. Repeated calls (5-6 calls everyday) and enquiry with customer care is futile. They keep assuring the issue will be resolved in few hours but no avail. No response from customer care or any sort of technical assistance.

                            Ortel neither values customers nor connectivity. Pathetic service!!

                              I am a user of Ortel broad band and cable TV. From 1st may net is not working.I have complained many time by customer care no [protected], but till now not rectified..Maximum time I faced the same problem. They are providing very worst service and don't give immediate action for rectifying problem of customers.my membership id is 573583. Without rectifying, they sms us, your problem is rectified..plz consider my problem..

                              from last 3, 4 months i am getting charge of extra chargeable download which has been not used. i am using acording to my plan as i used previously so please correct our problem or i have to disconect your broadband conection

                                I took ortel broadband connection 0n 28th april 2016, my plan is 1mpbs speed with amount 965 rs.And i paid to the ortel person 1965 rs, where he took 1000 rs for modem and 965 rs for 1 month advance payment of my broadband connection.

                                But today is 5th may 2016, but still i did not get my user id/membership id.
                                I called to the customer care of ortel, everytime they are saying i'll get the user id by eod to the resgistered mobile number.But at last i am not getting it.And the customer care of ortel did not take complain as they told me i do not have user id.

                                So it is their responsibility to provide user id to the customer.

                                Hi,

                                I am a new customer of ortel broadband. It has been more than 15 days I have taken the connection and have done all payments but I haven't received any user id/ password or membership number yet. I was told that I would be receiving the details same day evening when the connection starts.
                                The customer service number for non-existing customer is not reachable and to choose existing customer I don't have my membership number. Also I am not sure how to pay bills and check my account online without userid/membership.
                                Where do I need to contact for this as there is no broadband office here or the ortel cable office do not provide any contact of personnel belonging to ortel broadband.

                                  Sir, I am deposit my all billing with in time and also I have receipt but when I visit office to know my bill they ask me to give two months bill.
                                  now they are not doing any adjustment in billing when my broadband is not working . from starting 6 month they adjust my bill according to uses of my broadband . if any external problem created and broadband goes offline then also bounded for pay billing but before they adjust bill according to offline of my broadband.

                                    Dear sir, your communication system is failing to provide us the most popular hindi entertainment channel colors for more than last 10 days have been passed in the city of brahmapur. Such mistakes are never anticipated from your communication. It is not at all consumer friendly attitude, for which it is neither worried to restore the channel nor caring to even express it's inability or regrets. The mental agony faced by the consumer is that by depriving of the most entertainment colors channel may fetch u to compensate. There is a limit of patience. Please procure it soon.

                                    Ortel — Worst service

                                    I am the user of ortel broadband with customer id 573583.
                                    my modem is off-line from 1st may, I complained many times to customer care..but they do not give any responds.there no rectification from ortel side.
                                    I also complained through this site..i did not get any rectification.
                                    I strictly advice you all never opt for a connection from ORTEL COMMUNICATIONS LTD. Neither Cable TV nor Internet services. They won't provide all the TV channels and the modem they supply are the worst one even though you go for 2-3 changes of their supplied modem; the problem you face is still the same.

                                    Moreover, the word they give of the failure being rectified in 24hours is just to make customers fool. This is a regular practice to call them 2-3 times per day atleast spending Rs10-15 approx for even 5days or more; but still no response.

                                    Finally you'll be fed-up. So better give away your thought of taking Ortel connections and if you are using then disconnect it.

                                      Signal to otv and other odia channels is very poor for last 12 days.

                                      We have lodged complaints 2 weeks ago but not yet attended.

                                      Ortel customer id 00781913 cable tv not working since 17 aug 15. Very Poor response from the service provider. No one visited till to date even to see the problem. company to be ceased immediately.

                                      Ortel — no picture

                                      time and again bad picture, no signal is experienced. Whenever a complain is given the recipient of call doesnot respond properly. To day is Bhuda yatra of Lord Jagannath n I am not able to view. Same thing happened in Ratha yatra.

                                      Ortel — REGARDING CABLE TV NEW CONNECTION

                                      I submitted the amount in 30th june for new connection but they told me in between 3 days they should give new connection.But till to date they give no connection.Very very poor service.

                                        I have applied for a new connection and given them the amount of Rs. 500/-instantly in cash on 29/01/2016 for new CATV connection but due to some problem I've disconnected it within 2 days via a written application.They told me that due to some formalities the cheque of Rs.500 should be refunded payable by my name and the cheque will be in my hand within 2 month but till now I have'nt got my refund amount.And not only that without any connection they handover me an amount of Rs.147.53 for April 2016.So, kindly put forward my complaint for a better solution for which I shall be ever thankful to you.
