I had booked OYO room (OYO Rooms Gangaram Hospital - Hotel Name: Hotel Rudra Castle Delhi) on 4th December. Hotel denied the stay as there were no place available in the hotel. I didn't get any refund and hence I would like to file a case against OYO rooms. I would like to get information on the process to file consumer case against these companies. On 4th of December, my father had to get operated in Gangaram hospital and we were looking for accommodation nearby. We were family along with my grand-mom (88 years old) and sister's kids (6 and 11 years old). I had requested OYO to talk to the hotel guys as the booking confirmation was made 4 days before the check-in date. After an hour, OYO called me saying rooms will be available for us in the same hotel. During check-in, hotel denied to give any room and manager misbehaved with us. We were very tired after coming from the Hospital and hotel (Rudra castle) guys were not listening to our request. We tried calling OYO but their customer care was busy(couldn't reach them after trying for 1 hours). Finally, we had called Police to take us out of this hotel as hotel guys behavior was very scary. Thanks to Delhi police for helping me and my family to come out of the hotel safely.

I have had the same experience. Please get in touch with me, and we can maybe build a class suit for taking legal action against these crooks.
Hello guys, For me also they are not refunding back my amount. They saying some idiotic story.

I am frustrated by their behavior. Lets get together and sue these people.

    I had done a booking on Nov 27th by making payment of Rs. 5998 which I had cancelled almost immediately and filed a refund claim. I was being told that refund will take place in 3-4 working days. On 6th Dec I got an email asking for bank account details which I furnished immediately. Since then I am following up for my refund but to no avail. No one is replying to mails marked to "[protected]@oyorooms.com". I called the helpline number several times. Every time I was promised that I will be refunded in 3-4 working days. Now I have lost faith in OYO rooms. Its very disappointing. This was not at all expected from them. Pls help me in getting refund of my money.

    Though I received a call from your Customer experience team, result is same. Another false promise of releasing refund in 3 days and till date I have not received my refund. I am really fed up doing several follow-ups for getting my own money back. Why have you held up my refund? Why no one has any satisfactory answer that my refund is pending for 2 months wherein you promise in your ads that refund is due in 3 days?

    Can you pls clarify or respond as why have you delayed my refund and when I can expect it?

      Had booked a Hotel from my wife and when she reaches it turns out to be a FLAT where there are males staying in other rooms in the same apartment. Had to immediately in the middle of the night book her into Hotel Lemon Tree paying for 2 places for the same night. Very Irresponsible customer care and company. Never should one book rooms through these crooks

        Hello Team, In regard to above booking number I was promised a refund and now the customer service is refusing the same. The problem started when I checked in the Hotel in Jaipur, when I refused entery because of kids.Then I cancelled the booking on t he OYO app and called customer service twice complaining about the issue. I was promised a call back from escalation team to resolve the issue within 15minutes since I was standing along with my family on the middle of the road, but no one called. Also I was promised a refund which has not be provided. So I again called today & talked to Akshay Yokar on 06/01/16 05:32 and he told that refund could not be processed.           We are a travel company. On 15th Nov'15, we made a confirmed booking for 5 rooms for our guests with OYO rooms in Hotel Divine Paradise( OYO premium New friends colony Ring road) at New delhi from 23rd nov to 25th nov for 2 nights. Subsequently we made the payment on 16th nov for the said booking. We got the vouchers which were sent to the guest. On 21st nov evening, we got a mail from Oyo rooms that the booking has been denied by the hotel due to technical issues and some other hotel will be given. We were completely helpless and had no choice as 22nd nov was a Sunday and 23rd morning the guests were supposed to checkin . So we agreed for other option. To our extreme shock, inspite of consistent followup from our side, no hotel room was given till 12 noon on 23rd nov. In this entire episode, nobody from OYO tried to contact us or tell us what is happening. It was only us who called up Mr Sushant Shokeen who was our account manager from OYO. Only revert we got that "we are working on it" Understanding the seriousness of the situation as the guests had already arrived at Delhi on 23rd morning, we somehow arranged for another hotel at the last minute on double the cost. Inspite of such a shocking incident, nobody from the company felt a need to talk to us for such a lapse. After that, we asked for the refund amount with Mr Sushant Shokeen. He confirmed to us on mail on 27th nov that the amount will be refunded in a week's time. From that time till today, we are getting some excuse or the other but NO REFUND HAS BEEN RECEIVED so far. Now Mr Sushant has stopped taking our calls also. This is a clear case of fraud and forgery which is very shocking from a company of this stature. It seems they are taking people's money for granted. The reputation of entire Hotel industry is at stake with such foul players. Would expect an immediate refund alongwith damages from the company otherwise we are ready to sue the company.             I booked a room almost a month in advance and just a day before my travel oyo room rep called me confirming that the room was upgraded to another hotel. I was informed that the room will be within the vicinity of the area i had booked the earlier room. However, this was not the case and i was being booked in a hotel which was almost 8 - 10 kms away. OYO Rooms claimed that they are unable to help and i didnt have an choice and still had to put up with the new booking.

              I was a new customer at OYO and I booked Premium Grand Stay hotel in Manali through OYO website on 22 Dec 15 and the booking dates were 25th Dec 15 to 27th Dec 15.
              My Booking id is BRGA5087 and the Booking amount was Rs.[protected]discount) = 5798

              On 24 Dec 15 just few hours before leaving for my trip I was notified that the booking hotel has been changed to Simsa Resort, Manali due to non availability of rooms at Grand Stay.

              Firstly the initial hotel that was booked(Grand Stay) was still showing on their website even after cancellation for the concerned dates but at increased price which makes me question if their non availability claim was genuine

              Secondly I was told by their customer service that my hotel has been upgraded. Instead upon checking on their website the booking amount for Simsa resort was showing at Rs 3998 for concerned dates. On top of that its location was far away from the main town for which I had to hire a taxi for every commute.
              Clearly this is not upgradation by any calculation and feel I have been robbed of my money.

              I seek a fair compensation for overcharged amount[protected] = 1800
              I called them and emailed them but they would just ignore your concerns. They have no refund policy.

              I have read similar compaints against OYO on this portal and their negligence for any fair grievance redressal.

              My advice to other users - don't use OYO especially for last minute booking - they will leave you stranded. Local travel agents provide much better service.

              Ok so the OYO team called and have provided me a gift voucher worth Rs1500 for the next stay(valid for next 6 months).

              Well atleast they take their online complaints seriously and made the effort to reach out. But I would like to say that as a paid business model, If you are not able to provide better or equivalent experience to the customer for the price he has paid for, then there must be some refund mechanism to regain his trust. Otherwise you are putting your credibility on line. Apologies and coupons will only work in some cases.

              When I asked what would be the best way to use OYO service for future bookings for hassle free experience they couldn't provide a satisfactory answer and said they are still working on their technology to minimize inconvenience to the users.

              According to them the factors contributing to hotel industry are very dynamic so the prices and availability is increasingly difficult to monitor. This only means that their service is not 100% reliable.
              So as a user, next time you use OYO service you have to ask yourself - "Are you feeling lucky today?"

                I have booked an Oyo room (ref no. ACBT9134) on[protected]. I received booking confirmation through email as well as message. But when went to the hotel Abinand Grand to check in, I was surprised to know that there are no rooms available. The hotel management denied to provide any room. When shown the booking confirmation, they said "we dont care about it, we dont have rooms, we are sorry. pls talk to OYO". Then I called the OYO rooms contact center, and explained my problem. They attended the call and kept the call on hold for 20mins without providing any solution. I called again the same oyo contact center, and I was told that there is some issue, and they said they will provide me another room in Mourya Inn and will send the confirmation. I waited for 30mins but no confirmation was received. I called them again for 3rd time, they said, they are working on it and will provide some solution soon. I neither got any room, nor any solution. I was waiting in the waiting area with my family and kid for around 1 and half hours in search of a room from oyo, but failed. I have had a very bad experience with oyo. The promises are not met, the complaints are not attended.

                  The images shown in the oyo rooms is totatlly different from the real one and the hotel staff also says that no such kind of rooms are available in our hotel. Worst experience with lack of amenities and rooms are untidy and not upto mark as per the cost.

                    Your company has let me down from my trip from the UK to Ahmedabad - twice. Having booked OYO Rooms ISKCON SG Highway through Booking.com, I turned up to the hotel to find that there was no hotel name as advertised. So very difficult to find. Having climbed the stairs with a suitcase the receptionist told me that their rooms are all booked and taken. They said they informed OYO over 24 hours ago. OYO did not inform me. So I was left with no options. Having received various phonecalls from OYO I was then moved to OYO Premium Judges Bunglow Road Satellite, Ahmedabad. I spent money to travel to this hotel. When arriving - I was again told that the rooms were all booked. The staff told me that they informed OYO about this. TWICE I WAS LET DOWN BY YOU. VERY DISTRESSING. I will be forwarding the complaint to Booking.com and will be telling family and friends online that your service is unreliable and not robust - causing stress.

                      Booked a room with OYO in Ooty for a day 26-27 Dec. Booking ID: XROT5748
                      Booking was confirmed in Hotel Jaysanthi, Mysore road Opp Ooty Club Ooty.

                      Hotel Manger denied any reservation after regular follow up with OYO they changed the Hotel to Maneck Residency in Ooty.
                      Accommodation provided was very sub standard and most of amenities promised in original booking.
                      - No Wifi
                      - No Geyser
                      - No Lift
                      - Un professional Service staff
                      - Unhealthy room
                      - Smelling rat poop in room
                      - Mouse in room created chaos whole night.

                      Traveling with infant and senior citizen had a terrible night. Not able to sleep whole night.
                      Service staff denied rat presence and didn't helped.

                      Tried to complain the same to OYO customer care, every time they promised a call back resolving the issue but no call back received till now.
                      Consider this a breach of trust, providing a substandard room.

                          My booking id is BLRV4109 I witnessed very horrible service. I had booked room n paid in advance got booking confirmation SMS & E-mail. Upon arrival Hotel Karan Vilas, Agra they told me that we don't have any room & your booking is not confirmed yet. Immediately I called to customer care but she was unable to help me out then Hotel Karan Vilas told me that your room has been shifted from here to another nearby property. It was a new property and their service was very poor. They didn't have much staff and I was very uncomfortable during my stay. In future I will not opt any service from OYO Rooms.

                              My booking id is ZKCL8952 I witness very horrible service i booked room n paid in advance got booking confirmation with arrival time 3am to 6am mentioned from Oyo but when i reached hotel vinayak international patna . manager said he don't have vacant room n was clueless about Oyo as he was not having booking information. i called customer care n they kept me on hold first time 8min then again 7 mintues then again 5 minutes with no helping...

                              My Booking Id is ICBP8453 in Hotel La Fontana from 25th Dec to 27th Dec Please find below the points - 1. Hotel La Fontana staff asking for Original Id proof to be submitted to them. Upon asking they said this is how in goa. This was never conveyed to me via OYO room customer care 2. No WIFI in Room as indicated while booking 3. No Parking facility as indicated while booking 4. AC not working 5. No mini Fidge in room as indicated while booking Paid Rs. 7698 for this pathetic service. Not sure if OYO will refund the money or what. first time used the service and will recommend evry one don't use it.

                                Hi I had three bookings CNMO2498, FJUO6423 and EKFY6437 from 12 Dec 2015 to 15 Dec 2015. I went to see the room on 11 Dec 15 however the hotel manager refused to show me any rooms saying that my bookings have come through OYO so they are not going to entertain. I had confrontation with him on this and as a result I had to cancel all my bookings from 12 Dec 2015 to 15 Dec 2015 and look for another place instead of staying at such a place where staff doesn't know how to speak to their guests. I have received refund for 13 Dec and 14 Dec bookings, however entire amount has been deducted for booking on 12 Dec 2015. Could you please look into this and come back to me asap.

                                  I booked room in Oyo, ameerpet.I went there at 2 pm.they told they have no rooms .called Oyo.they allotted hotel tanisha.I went there at 2.30pm.same repeated there.they told to call Oyo as there is no room.again I called Oyo. They allotted athidi inn.because of traffic, because we dont know city it was almost 8 pm to find hotel athidi.there again they told that room is not available.again I called Oyo.then they sent email to athidi at 9 pm.then they allotted room.Oyo wasted 6 hr.so I checked out 2 hr late next day but charged 2000.in that case who will pay me for wasting my 8 hrs?

                                    I had booked oyo rooms for my visit to Agra. the room did not match the Oyo standards. In fact it was working like a night shelter. the third bed I was a piece was a piece of packing material. When I shouted and did not accept the piece then I was given a broken mattress which had lot of dirt on it. There was no wifi in the room. No mirror in the washroom the call center was of no help. even after many promises I was forced to stay there as I had already paid. My mobile number is [protected].

                                      I booked two rooms on 05/12/2015 with booking number FWEC5943 and FCSW6541. I have made the advance payment for the rooms via paytm of INR 2794. On reaching the hotel I came to know that they haven’t accept any booking for me and they can’t accommodate my guests. I cross checked with Oyo customer care, they assured me that I will get a room in same property. After few mins I received a email that says my hotel property have been changed and to my surprise I was offered a hotel room of lesser tariff value i.e 2400 INR and inferior quality. I called the Oyo customer care and try to my level best to make him understand that this is unethical business practise but he refused to listen to me. He replied this is best they can do for me and they will refund me 395 INR. To my surprise I haven’t received any refund till date, I called Oyo room customer care many times but they just give me excuses and fake commitments instead of giving resolution to my issue. This wrongful act is harassment for customer like me. Oyo Rooms cheap tactics not only cause mental agony but create a bad impression of mine in front of my guests. I never expect this from brand like Oyo rooms. 1. First oyo rooms should not take a booking if it is not available. 2. I[censored]nder extreme circumstance they did a mistake, they should notify this to customer which they failed to do so. 3. If there is difference in tariff of two rooms then they should return that money back. which again they failed to do so. 4. After tweeting this to Oyo CEO Ritesh agarwal they have return the money but reverse back 500 INR as discount they have offered to me for using Paytm payment. Woow this is best customer service I have ever received. They are nothing more then crook Amit [protected]
