I walked in to oyo rooms - hotel neelam at jaipur, located near ganpati plaza, motilal atal road, jaipur on 08th march 2016. At the time of checking in, i made sure that i have an american express card to make the payment, and i was assured that it is a valid mode of payment and will be accepted. They tried to swipe the card at the hotel but it was not working and every time they did that the transaction was declined. Then they gave me a booking id and told to go online with the payment link and make the payment over there. They assured again that the online payment will definitely go through with the american express card that i have. I called the customer care number they sent me a link to pay the balance, and i tried to process it several times but it was just getting declined. After so many attempts and wasting plenty of time i called the customer care number and they sent me another link to process the payment.
For 2 days i tried to process the payments but it was a failure every time. All my business meetings were affected as i try and work on the same with a constant tension, that how should i make this payment.
On the 3rd day wen reaching the customer care, and telling my complaint, they tend to tell me the american express cards are not accepted as the mode of payments, and that i should use another mode of payment. I did not know what to do. The customer care people advise me to call any of the relatives and call for money to pay them, this is not a way to treat the customer.
Frustrated i don't know what to do and how to make the payment as i don't have any bank account in india. I don't live in india, i am from america and still in a miserable condition.
False commitments, improper behavior, inaccurate information, and no transparency, this was the most annoying stay of my trip to india.
