Hi had a similar experience with OYO booking id: YBGG1202. OYO app showed me 800 for the booking for a night, but after reaching the hotel they asked me to pay extra 1000 for the night charges! Even after paying extra 1000 as I had nowhere to go @1AM in night. Reception had the audacity to ask for 20 rs extra for the printout that they took as part of id verification. They didn't even gave me the bill.

A case of simple extortion of money where they took advantage of my helplessness of going somewhere else in that dark night.

Is this how Ritesh envasioned OYO to be!

    My name is Najma and I did Book a room through OYO on 17 September night and I did cancel the booking very next day due to some unfortunate circumstances. I did cancel the booking on 18 September 7.30 AM . So I'm eligible for full refund. It's showing that they have approved my refund. But i still haven't received my money back. I paid through Google pay. I really need my money back today itself. I'm really afraid that I lost the money. Please try to understand my situation and provide me with refund as soon as possible.

      Hotel booked - OYO 12855 The Goan Courtyard
      Booking done via oyo phone call service on 3 rd Oct evening
      Amount paid - 3475/-
      OYO number i talked to - [protected]

      I had booked this hotel on call, but didn't receive any confirmation message or mail after payment . Even after downloading the oyo app, the booking ID was shown invalid.
      I was told by the oyo representative that she had sent the confirmation to the hotel and asked me to contact the property for confirmation .

      That person was absolutely rude, arrogant and I have no words to explain the way he talked to me. He even cursed OYO for making the booking and literally cut the phone on my face. It is one of the worst experiences I have had till date.

      I have been trying to cancel my booking for the last 3 hrs and have talked to about 7-8 oyo customer care people, but none of them have been able to do one simple thing, that is cancel my booking and initiate my refund. Each time I was told that the call was being transferred to the cancellation/ service department and I waited for about 10 min each time only to find out that the call gets disconnected later . This clearly shows that OYO does not value its customers' time .

      I am really saddened by this experience with oyo and want an action to be taken at the earliest or else I am afraid I might have to show my grievance through social media which I am not willing to do now .

      ACTION requested : Cancel the booking and initiate my refund .

            Hello sir,

            I had booked a hotel on 1st Oct for 25-28 Oct, however due to some other commitments I had to cancel my travel plan.

            I am trying to get this booking cancelled through customer care on call, and on web and android app, however no success. The customer care executives put my call on hold and after 15 minutes the call gets disconnected. My booking is not even shown in the OYO app or website.

            Please cancel my booking and refund the amount at the earliest.

            Here are the details i received on whatsapp.

              Hi,
              I booked this OYO room considering OYO is good brand.
              but i have got worst experience in my life when i reached this location
              OYO 79887 The Purple Orchid Stay, Marathahalli, Banglore
              when i reached there, counter manager and ownner told extra Rs1400 / room as price actually on OYO price displayed was Rs 1089 on Oct 2, 2022, 11 am.
              Owner misbhaved with me, he scolded OYO, said OYO is totally fraud, dontt book through OYO. etc etc., Not sure but this is owners number, Srinivas reddy - [protected].

              Please remove this OYO from your portal, total waste peoples. I think OYO is also Fraud as that ownere toid. done cheat peoples.

                      Hi my booking id YGGN1100 paid by online mode. After visiting hotel they asked to pay extra 1400. I tried to deny but they didn’t compromised and claimed to visit hotel without booking through oyo.I didn’t understand the use of OYO here. I lost my time and cozy mood.                         Hi I have booked a room and it got confirmed. At the time of check-in the receptionist didn’t allowed us to stay and asked us to leave from the hotel. We have conveyed the same with OYO customer care and they said they are going to initiate the refund. It’s been a month but the status is showing as failed. Booking ID:- K1FB3039. Unable to contact the service desk and OYO is looting money from people. The costumer care people are simply disconnecting the call.

                            I had booked one Oyo room in Safe Hotel, Kadavanthara Metro Station, Pillar no.776, Kadavanthara, Ernakulam, Kerala. Due to some personal reasons I had to cancel the booking. then I got one message from OYO that the refund will be transfer in your same mode of payment 7-14 days i said OKAY. This booking was made on 10 10 September 2022. And today is 29 september 2022 i have not get any single rupees of refund from oyo whenever i call oyo customer care they say the amount will be refunded. Oyo is not giving me my money back iThe amount of one room were 552 rupees. It's not a small amount for me. i have called oyo almost 10-15 times in this month. Now I am not able to speak to the customer care office. They are neglecting my call. I am afraid. Actually, I trusted OYO, but they are not addressing my issue. Issue is same status is same nothing changed. My booking ID- 092J7452.

                              I paid Oyo 3800 on their actual UPI Id through phonepe but i didn't recieve message of confirmation of booking nor did i recieve a message in my mail.

                                I make a booking on oyo app on 25/09/2022. booking ID- IKJE7445. When go for check in Hotel refused to do so that is why I cancelled the booking. i paid amount already.
                                Secondly,
                                At same time i try to contact to oyo customer care but they were un reachable. i made booking second time booking ID- V15N1426. when check in second hotel they charged extra 800 Rs. by showing in app that this amount is pending. This case is complete fraud as well as cyber crime. I tried several time to contact Oyo customer care service team. but they are not reachable or may be they do not want to contact.
                                Therefore it is requested to you kindly look into the matter and resolve the issue.

                                  Oyo says that amount have been transferred to my bank account via upi but i didn't receive anything as of yet. I have done 2 cancellations which totals to a sum of 4150, which is a huge amount of money. The coustomer service said to wait for 24 hours but didn't get any refund even after 24 hours of wait. Its really absurd.

                                    I have booked an OYO room on 15th July 2022 for 4 days i.e., 18th July 2022 to 21st July 2022. When I went to check-in, the hotel management rejected my registration as they were out of rooms. OYO had refunded me 1173/- out of the total amount of 2681/-. I will have to receive the total refund as I have not utilised their services at all. I had spoken the same to the OYO representatives for 5 times till date and all of them sent me an email comfirmation on the total amount to be refunded to me in max 14 days.
                                    OYO Rooms customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                      Dear Sir / Madam,

                                      I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Oyo Room Bookings refund amount

                                      The issue that I have experienced was: I booked a hotel in Haldwani through OYO App on 26th Sep. 2022 at 23:07, 1 classic room and 3 guests after paying 100% of the amount I received a booking confirmation message from OYO. After that I tried to call reception number for check-in but they didn't response through phone call. I went to the hotel for check-in around 00:30 27th Sep, 2022 but they didn't open the gate for entering to hotel they locked the gate and not even responded for the phone call. After that I tried to call Oyo customer care through my another number [protected] and the customer care number is [protected] they respond the call and there is a technical issues call failed and i received a call back from OYO customer care and the number was [protected] i raised a complaint about the room booking and further more information they put my call on hold for more than 5 minutes and there is no response from their side. Finally I took the OYO real time assistant option in OYO for the cancellations of the room. They charged me full amount what i was paid and they refunded what they deducted from OYO money. Amount i was paid through Paytm postpaid for the Oyo room is ₹.762/- Order ID zkugwpe7f2ykbh38b2jbqit8 and Transaction ID[protected]. From my side everything is correct if I didn't check-in for the booked room mistake was mine but from the hotel side i was denied check-in. Please try to solve the issue ASAP.
