Pepperfry Customer Care's response This was been highlighted to us, and we had flagged this ahead. Our category team had confirmed to send in the brand technician to visit customer's vicinity and get this checked and rectified.
The same was been communicated to the customer via email. Even after sharing constant updates, customer got this bed repaired from a local carpenter, without notifying us.
If this is touched by a local carpenter, we cannot claim this as a valid case.
PFB mentioned list of all mail trails exchanged, that portray the entire synopsis on the same.

How long you wanted me to wait It is almost 3 months as of now requesting your team. Where was your category team since the
you only came in when I raised this issue in consumer forum otherwise there was no response from your side.
first and foremost you have cheated on the quality of Wood i.e. you supplied Bed made of Babool wood in the disguise of Sheehsam wood and further refused for replacement of bed when its broken under warranty period.
Time will take care of you but I promise you that I will drag you to last possible point settle this.

As mentioned in my last mail trail, I had highlighted this concern to our category team. They will send in a carpenter and investigate the wood mismatch and are affirmative on replacing the bed in such scenario. You should have consulted us before getting it repaired locally, as our vendor may fail to service us in such case.

After waiting so long I have got the bed repaired from our carpenter by changing both the side planks for an expense of Rs. 4500/-
you are requested to reimburse above amount.
However, you are still answerable for the quality of Wood which you supplied Babool instead of Sheesham.

At Pepperfry, we do not intend to upset our customers at any given moment. This maybe a one off case with such magnitudes. Having said that, we would positively work on it, so that such instances are not repeated in near future. Also we would pass on the feedback to the relevant departments, to safeguard on customer excellence parameters.
