I placed an order with pepperfry for a chair and a table. I realised that i do not need a chair on immediate basis and called them to cancel just the chair. This call was placed within 15 minutes of the order which included a waiting time of 12 minutes. (So effectively, the cancellation was initiated within 3 minutes of order placement)

The chair is scheduled to arrive in 3 weeks from the time of order placement.

I am surprised that the company does not have an immediate cancellation policy of 24 hours which almost all companies follow. This is absolutely ridiculous and absurd. I'm thinking of escalating this with higher authorities with regard to general consumer protection.

I have no choice but to accept my luck.

    Hi, i had ordered a recliner for my dad and by mistake wrong address got selected in their app. I immediately called them to get it rescheduled to my dad's address, but they blatantly refuse to help. Such poor customer service. According to them, we are all superhumans who are not allowed to make mistakes. Their agent asks me to receive the order (Delivery of which is about 20 days away) and reship it to my dad's place. The order is not even shipped as yet. I don't understand the problem in rescheduling the request. Ridiculous. Stay away from this app.

    Order was placed for 200ml jars but supplied is of 60ml requested for replacement but pepperfry has straight away refused for the same snapshots were also shaired with them, Wrong product supplied even after repeated reminders pepperfry is not responding for replacement, one has to be very careful while placing orders with pepperfry

      I had booked a kiyoko study table on 10 april, 2018 from pepperfry but now it is may 4th and still i have not got my product neither any notification regarding it.
      When i tracked my order on their website it is saying that it is still being shipped even though according to the website, it should have been by 2nd may. It's my first time booking a furniture through an online portal but such bad service is shouting to me that it was not a good decision.

      A big thumbs down to pepperfry.

        Ok So here is the issue, PepperFry online store has one of the worst customers experience when it comes to returns.

        I was one of the regular customers who had purchased many items from them until that day when I ordered something and wanted to return the very moment I saw... what was delivered.

        But here is the catch, Online Store like PepperFry have a very well defined strategy to ensure returns can never see the sun-light.

        Here is how:

        1. The return policy says 7 days from the date of receipt of the product please read here https://www.pepperfry.com/easy_returns.html?type=vip

        2. At no point of time they mention that returning a product also means you need to upload the product images else the return will be automatically cancelled.

        3. In case you fill there online form located for returns (see attached screen shot below) all fields are mandatory to fill except than (upload images of product, which as per #2 above is the only thing which will validate your return, else return will automatically be cancelled without any email or call or notification to you)

        4. And all this time your user dashboard will show.. "Return Initiated" giving you a fake reason to believe in that your return is in progress. (screen shot attached)

        5. You will get a confirmation email that someone will get back to you within 48 hours but no one calls or emails also (see screen shot attached)

        So if you place an order and you received your item and want to return it the very same day DAY 1, you can only do it via online "Return this Item" and the form you fill will ask you for everything (name, order number, select reason for return) but never will request you to upload images (which indeed is the only important thing for the return else returns are automatically cancelled). After filling this form you will get a nice confirmation email from PepperFry with subject "Return Request Acknowledgement"

        Dear XYZ
        Your Request for a return of Pepperfry order no:[protected] has been received. We’re on it. Allow us up to 48 hours to get back to you.
        Regards
        Team Pepperfry

        But guess what??? No one will call or reply back to you. .. Cause the hidden magic here is that you never uploaded the images for this product for PepperFry team to even acknowledge your return.

        Day 2, 3 are gone waiting for PepperFry Team to get back (as now you have an "Return Request Acknowledgement" email from them

        After no one picks up the item on Day 4, 5 you try to wonder and login back to your dashboard to see your order order history showing "RETURN ALREADY INITIATED"

        Now guess what you are sitting on DAY 7 thinking someone from courier will come and pick up the item soon... but guess what... TIMES UP!!!

        As per return policy PepperFry very cleverly made sure that 7 days are passed and you can't return an item.

        Such Cheat and wrong practices needs to be barred and people need to be made aware of such technology jigsaw puzzle these online estores created for simple customers to ensure they are profitable.

        Please share this port on SocialMedia and other places and lets boycott buying from stores like PepperFry (A true CHEAT for Indian Public)

          I ordered a Chair [order No[protected]] from Pepperfry on 5th-05-2018 in morning.

          And the same day, in evening I changed my mind and tried to cancel the order from site, but there was no option to cancel the order so When I called the customer care, they are saying there is no policy for cancellation
          when I check the delivery date is 1 month and shipment from a warehouse not yet done .
          I am surprised that when the item is not shipped, they not ready to cancel.

            I ordered a bed from pepper fry around 3 months back. Around a month back I started using it and realised in a day or two that the plank fixing was not proper. I reported the issue and pepper fry sent a carpenter to check. On checking Carpenter reported that the plank was not fixed properly as some screws were missed. Due to this snapping of the plank, some part of the side plank is damaged. On reporting the issue to pepper fry I requested them to fix this as this was not my fault and this happened. Now pepper fry is not accepting it saying that it falls under wear and tear category.
            First of all I am not sure how it falls under wear and tear category as I didn’t even use it. And frankly speaking how can the bed be worn and torn within a span of 3 months only? That means the quality of products from pepper fry is like that.
            On top of that customer care support is pathetic where in they are not helping at all. I am not sure where to escalate as it is online store.
            I am extremely disappointed with their service.

              My order is[protected] for bedsheet and my husband was not sure about the quality of the product so we want to cancel the order and make another one. But i couldn't not find any option to cancel so called up customer care he was so rude and said once the order is placed it's placed and it can neither be cancelled nor can be returned. So cheap response. I will never order from this site what should i do with the product which i dint liked. Keep it with you only. Don't send the product also i feel i donated money to road side pepperfry team. I will go to consumer court as well. Very disgusting and disappointed.

                pepperfry is denying the warranty for the broken bed within warranty period

                I ordered 2 wall shelve products from pepperfry online shopping dated 9th september 2017 - order id:[protected] and both products were not as described in terms of size both were addressed using photo along with measureable tape on 23/9/2017.

                One of the product was canberra natural brown teak wood 5-tier wall shelf by divine decor. The case reference number is wr[protected].in which case seller directly contacted me & addressed the issue with correct size product replacement. I truly appreciate divine décor service & meeting my requirements, no doubt i had to wait almost 10 days for the service.

                But in case of another - black mdf 5-tier durable wall shelf by decornation. The case reference number is wr[protected]. Pepperfry declined to address the issue as below; even after repeated emails saying as per the policy product measurements is not as described, pepperfry did not address the issue. Its a huge loss & trauma that customers undergo because of wrong product delivery from pepperfy. Also many of friends faced similar issues so that is when i decided to complain on pepperfy.

                I would request peppery to investigate the issue & take back the product by refunding on the same. Let me know if something is wrong on my part and i'm ready for all kinds of investigation.

                  Its about rhombus study table which i purchased from pepperfy.com

                  - i ordered study table on 12th march 2018 through pepperfry.com (Orderid[protected]
                  - i was notified tentative date for delivery is 19th to 25th march, but i didnt received it.
                  - between 25th to 30th march i chased up multiple times with pepperfry and they always made fake promises that product will be shipped by next day. I raised request (Verbally) with them for refund but support person denied.
                  - i waited patiently and after more than a month i got my delivery on 14th april 2018, i received my order, but to my shock it was damaged. I have raised refund request from the website on same day.
                  - i waited for them to connect within 48 hours, i gave call and i got response from refund manager (Gayatri) stating they won't be able to refund since it is covered under hometown warrenty. Here are my points on which i argued with gayatri
                  - nowhere it was mentioned that item doesn't qualifies for 7 day easy return policy
                  - i have to deal with back and forth with pepperfry and hometown for my refund. It had costed me my valuable time and peace.
                  - now damaged product is lying and taking up space at my home as i had already purchased study table from local vendor.

                  I feel cheated with pepperfry and i won't recommend my friends and collegaues to do any kind of shopping from pepperfry website.
                  I would like you to take serious action against this request which has caused so much problem to me, kindly revert by when i can expect my refund and we can close this complaint.

                    I am reaching out to you as all my attempts were unsuccessful to get a resolution on my damaged product. I am extremely unhappy about this product of yours, the angelino bed ordered with order number[protected]. Both the legs under the headboard collapsed rendering the bed unusable. The plywood used for the head board is not of good quality and broke near the area where the legs are attached. Registered a support request with pepperfry and they sends out a carpenter for repair who certifies that this is non-repairable and updates pepperfry with pictures. However, pepperfry gets back saying that this come under normal wear and tear category and will not be covered under warranty. This issue is clearly because of the wood material/craftmanship which should be covered under warranty. They also informed that they could not help any further in this regard. This is totally not a customer friendly attitude. I requested for a replacement/refund, which was declined as well. I have attached the photos of the product.

                      Note: do not buy anything from pepperfry... Please read all the consumer complaints before buying anything with pepperfry... Do not go after cheap price. Cheap price will give you a chance to cheap people also.

                      Let me share my first experience with these cheaters (Pepperfry).

                      Product title was "tsukiko queen size bed with side drawers & storage in wenge finish by mintwud" which clearly mentioned side drawers.

                      And in first picture they are showing side drawers pics as well. And i search over google what side drawer is.

                      So i ordered. And when i received the product. It has only bed nothing else.
                      I was quite shocked with the delivery. Then i called pepperfry (Cheaters) customer care.

                      And told my problem that i didn't receive my side drawers, and they guys are continuously telling me that those 3 side storage is the part which you called side drawers.

                      Seriously!!!???

                      I just wanted you to search over any search engine and see how side drawers look like.

                      There are 3 suggestions from my side.
                      1. Give me 2 side drawers.
                      2. Reimbursement of 2 side drawers
                      3. Take this product and give my money back. (Best one for you)

                        Hello,
                        I recently Purchased Frestol Blue Cleaning Mop with Steel Filter from Pepperfry.com.
                        This Product is having very poor quality as per price I given.
                        This product was not specified how much water capacity it will store and when I open it, I saw that it has no much water capacity to store.
                        Its handle for carrying bucket is again very thin, it can break any time when we lift a bucket.

                        I am totally dissatisfy with their product and when I initiated refund request, they denied by saying product has no missing part.

                        So according to pepperfry, Product quality doesn't matter.

                        Pepperfry is not giving any response. I have tried to inform them this product is not usable because we can not carry it with its handle. When we carry it, it rotates slant and water is getting out from bucket and falls on floor.
                        We are not able to move bucket through its handle from one place to another place. You can see photos. My order is[protected].

                          I have booked a bed and mattress in studio pepperfry, Indiranagar branch, Bangalore.As per the executive's advise I purchased mattress, which is not at all fit for the bed, I telephoned customer Care unit and raised complaint, they told me we take the return, because of executive's mistake...if she advised me correct one same day, I would have purchased suitable mattress same day...but executive wrongly advised me...and I paid all the amount same day..that is hard earned money..they have taken the return after so many days conversation with their customer care...today(19.04.2018) I have received the return money... without my mistake...why should I have to pay money that much earlier...and without informing me they told they already closed the case...over phone...how would I know...it's almost more than a month...right now I am mattress less, why should I suffer for their mistake and nothing they have given me compensation and not even interest paid to the money, which I paid them at the time of booking...how much mental agony and stress I have faced only God knows

                            I placed an order for 24 plates on 30th March, I got the delivery on 18th April that is after 20 days. I called pepper fry to help me with the return and the customer service person tells me once sold it cannot be returned. they dont have a return policy unless it is damaged. I told him that the product is not as per what i expected and also it was delayed by 20 days so i had to purchase it from somewhere else as i needed it early.

                            He has blankly refused to take return and when i told him i will take this to consumer court, he in return is telling me no use coz they will just take your complaint and close the case.

                            I have been forced to keep a product that i do not want.

                            Such ridiculous company...I will never ever recommend anyone to purchase from pepperfry, coz if you did and you didnt like the product once its delivery they will not take it back and you will be stuck with the product.

                            Great way of fooling people and making money.

                              Hi,
                              I've had so many round of conversations with their customer care team. Everytime i'm told the team will get back to in 24-48 hours but every call has been made by me to follow up on this. Are you finewith this sort of customer care that you provide? Everytime i have to call and i get a new person who i have to explain the complete issue to and i cannot also get just one person who is working on my case.
                              I ordered wardrobe from them. The delivery date provided at the time of ordering was 12-13 april 2018. The item arrived on 8th april and we were supposed to travel during the next few days so we asked the delivery team if they could deliver at a later date to which they refused. I also asked the delivery person if i could open up the package and make sure everything was fine but they told me that it is not allowed during delivery and only the assembler should open it. I tried to confirm with the customer care if it would be okay that we had the assembly done beyond 15th april. We were not given any indication that they do not provide any help beyond 7days of delivery. When the carpenter started assembling the wardrobe today it was found that the 2 pieces were damaged (Right door & right panel) and 1 piece was missing (Smaller hanger rod). After finding the damages i contacted customer care and they now tell me that beyond 7 days of delivery we dont provide assistance (Which was not informed earlier when i called to check this).
                              With so many lapses in their customer service and item inspection, the customer care has the audacity to tell me that i made a mistake in reporting this issue.

                                I ordered a Dining set 6 seater from this fraud company with order id[protected] for 50K

                                Furniture bought from Amberville is shipped for free and comes with a 3 Year Warrantee against any manufacturing defects. we also offer you a 7-Day Easy Return window. So go ahead and buy with confidence.

                                The product arrived which looked like the one in the photo but completely different material. First the table is not solid wood and this was confirmed by their own carpenters who came to fix it and the table looks like engineered wood. I told them to return as it was mentioned easy 7 days return, they refused. They stole my money and now are refusing to give it back. The Cust service associates transfer the call to the returns team and they keep giving excuses like it is same as the picture, but I can ask anyone to make the same furniture I bought it bcz of the description.

                                I need this furniture to be taken by them immediately. Fraud /scam company

                                  I have bought dining table from pepperfry website order no is[protected] for approx. Rs. 15000/-. I received the same on 12th april 2018. After opening the boxes i find the product is of very poor quality, material is so cheap, surface and the edges of the table and chair is also not smoothen enough to use. So many patches were easily seen and also wood was so weak that can be easily broken upon hits of anything. I was so dissatisfied with the product bought hence i immediately marked request for return. Since there was no accurate option to explain the reason to return i choose, not as per expectation. Even after raising a request for two days, no one from pepperfry cared to contact me to understand that why i have raised a request for return. Except shobha reverted a mail standard reply that because the product is not as per my expectation they cant take it back. I had to take a pain to connect the customer care, after connecting several times i could explain my pain areas but irony is that customer care people were so rude and stubborn that they were stuck on one conclusion that they cant take it back. Staff was not at all co-operative. Not supportive and very rude. Even after explaining so much defects with the furniture nobody tried to resolve my complaint. I had also raised my complaint to grevienace redressal but no answer and resolution. There is also option given to complaint to promoters but its useless because i couldn't submit my complaint.

                                  There are so many online companies which do similar business such as amazon.com, but i never experienced such kind of poor service. Pepperfry on wants to cheat consumers by selling cheap quality furniture to customer and steal the consumer's heard core earned money.

                                    I ordered a bed from pepperfry online. Earlier the delivery date showed at my pin number was 4th april to 7th april. As i wanted the product urgently i opted for the nearest date delivery. Once i placed my order it showed delivery date 14th april to 17th april. After few days it started showing delivery date 30th april to 4th may.

                                    Pepperfry team is saying that they cannot help in this case. Product is in transit from gurgaon to mumbai. They just keep displaying fake delivery dates and least bothered about the delivery. I do lot of online shopping but first time ever i have got such a worst experience.in my app it is also showing delivered.

                                      Had purchased items at no cost emi three months back. For first two months emi was 1306, however last emi is 2612... Just the double. My order cost was 3918... I am paying 5224. Order no[protected], order date jan 16 2018, order total 3910. This is just not acceptable from a professional company like pepper fry. Kindly refund my money before i escalate the issue.
