On 5th Feb 2017, i have purchased Wall unit online from Pepperfry with Assembly request with paying additional amount, They committed me that product will get delivered before 12th feb.but they delivered product on 15th feb i am still waiting for carpenter to come and assemble the product.
upset with their services, every time when i call to Customer service, they tell us within 24 hours your query will get resolve, i am continuously calling them since 16th feb, still no response from Pepperfry.
Very Bad Pepperfry.

    I have ordered a sofa from pepperfry on 12jan17 and got confirmation of delivery on 18feb17 due to out station delivery. however it is not provided with cash on delivery option so i had paid for it online only.on 18feb night when i called them regarding delivery, they said your delivery date has shifted to 22feb when i asked them why don't you inform me the same, they said we do not inform regarding shifting of date, we will deliver your product on 22feb17.again i called on 22feb17 regarding my product delivery they said it has already out for delivery from ware house on 21feb17 and it will reach to your destination by 2-3 days. i know he lied to me from the way he spoken.on the next day on 23feb17 i called them again around 1300hrs for confirmation, that day some another representative had told me your product is still with us in our ware house and will let it out within 1-2 days from our ware house, then i told him about my last conversation and explained him how his colleague has lied to me. and asked the reason for the same, then he disconnected my call.on the very next minute i called them again, this time i connected up with another representative, i requested him to tell the name of that representative with whom i have spoken last, he said his name is suresh then i asked to please forward my call to suresh, he said he is busy now with some another call.then i requested him to forward my call to your supervisor or to the person who is dealing with all this issues.then he forwarded my call to someone without telling me his name and designation. and my call got connected with some another person that person did the same he didn't told me his name and designation and hangedup me online for a long time by saying we are solving your issue, after few minutes he again came to me and said we have spoken to our ware house supervisor, will release your product by tomorrow i.e, on 24feb17 and we will give you a text message regarding delivery confirmation and details of delivery boy on same date.but on 24feb17 i didn't get any kind of message from pepperfry.com . on 25feb17 i called then again and this time they said it will take atleast 2-3 days to get out from ware house.and also their representative by name celina fernandes speaks in very insulting way with those who are not proper in English my request is with consumer court is to take a necessary action on it, and make an effort to get my money refund from pepperfry.com

      Pepperfry has the most customer unfriendly model. This is for Order Number[protected]. I received a product on Feb 22nd 2017. At first glance I knew that the product is not what I wanted and the picture shown online was not quite correct. The product is still unopened, still in the box and only the top was opened before I realized that this was not what I wanted.
      Pepperfry will not take returns unless the product is damaged...
      I can understand if they charge me for extra overheads of delivery, OR they give credits to my account on Pepperfry for use only at their store.
      But I do not understand why a product bought online should be forced on a person if it is clearly not what the customer wanted.
      No online store supports such a policy and is a very poor business model.

        I had ordered a brand NEW ceiling fan. The delivered product is old and was full of dust and most importantly the product does not have original packing of the brand I ordered which shows that the original packing has been tampered with and the original product has been replaced with a used or an old one. Inspite of this, my return request has not been processed. When I called pepperfry customer care, they are saying that this is how pepperfry delivers and original packing does not matter to them. A fake product has been delivered to me and moreover I am being denied the return of it even when the return was requested within the 7 days.
        This is really a very bad experience of purchasing a product on Pepperfry for the very first time. Return of a product especially the one which is not in original packing and is in shabby condition should have been the easiet one to consider

          I had ordered a executive office chair and the back rest cloth came out after sitting on it literally 5 times. when I call them up they say "Sorry sir we cant refund you the money after 7 days" So what they mean to say is that the shelf life of the chair is only 7 days and its perfectly fine for a chair to break after that. Very disappointing. as a consumer we are taking a huge risk by ordering something like a furniture online and when something like this happens where it is obviously a "manufacturing defect" and we dont get the required support. it puts a question on the reliability of the entire sector. It seems like they are running one big scam here.

            I had sent query regarding my 10% cashback on coupon code XMAS. feedback that I got on call was I cannot get cashback on EMI. Its very disappointing. They had sent this mail which clearly states about cash back will be refunded to your alternate account in case of EMI.

            Following was mail

              Unfortunately, I have ordered a cupboard from pepperfry. Every called them for the order status they directed me to some hometown and had no information. The only thing pepperfry knowns to take money from and doesn’t help you in anyway. Their customer care has no information except they have took your money.
              I recommend everyone out there no to purchase a single thing from peperfry.

                Hi have ordered House This Orange Cotton Solid Double Bed Sheet (with Pillow Covers) - Set of 3 with Order No.[protected] for 1000rs . after I received the item I found its a low quality even edges are not stitched properly. I raised a request for return. he rejected my request by telling its not damaged. how people will continue to purchase with low quality is a not a considerable point to return the item. really disappointed.

                  I deal with pepperfry first time and my experience is worst...worst...worst...worst...worst...worst...worst...worst...worst...worst...... I purchased 3 products from Pepperfry which costs me around 50k to 60k. 1st product i ordered Home Sparkle Yellow Engineered Wood Carved Wall Shelves Set of 5. 2nd product Oscar 3 seater Sofa. 3rd 1 seater oscar sofa 2 in quantity.
                  For 1st product... company displays this product in very bright yellow colour and when we received this product it is dark yellow with pathetic colour. We complained to customer care they asked for real pics. We sent the real pics which clearly shows that there is hell lot of colour diffrence in between the pictures displayed on website and actual. Customer care representative Named PRIYA was so mannerless. She dont know even how to talk to customers. She was not ready to even listen our single word. She said its the same colour and if you dont understand this its your fault not companies fault. I strongly recommend that she is very very bad and worst in doing customer service. Instead of helping, she is insulting and misbehaving with customers.
                  2nd and 3rd product:- When we purchased these sofas.. we called to customer care and confirm with SHARON (customer care representative) that as per the display cushions are included in the sofas or not, she said "yes" cushions are included. Now when we expecting our products tommorrow, we again called to customer care in order to confirm once again for cushions. Customer representative SURESH initially said that cushions are not included. We said that Sharon confimed us that cushions are included, how can you change the statements again n again. SURESH put us on hold and later he said that let product arrive at your place n if you dont receive the cushions the you can escalate the case so that you can get cushions i[censored]ndelievered. We said "ok" we are recording this statement whatever SURESH said that time. the time SURESH heard that call has been recorded, he suddenly changed his statement and said that he never said that we will recieve cushions after escalating or doing anything. He was scared. Nobody in Pepperfry is ready to support and help in these cases.
                  Customer support team is very bad, mannerless, misbehave everytime.
                  I strongly recommend not to deal with Pepperfry. I m feeling like being scammed by this company. ALSO when i said to customer care (Priya) that i will complain online for you guys. She replied "do whatever you want to do, our IT Team will take care of it".. See the behaviour of employees.
                  Can anyone help me in resolving this issues.

                    I ordered a bed online on 6th of Feb and it reached the gurgaon warehouse on 14th feb. I am still waiting for the bed to be delivered. When I called up pepper fry and talked to a girl named Judy and a man named Shubham, requesting for a delivery today itself, they refused saying that the trucks have left. I dont understand what my bed has been doing in the warehouse for 2 days, with me sleeping on the floor in my home??? Is there no sense o[censored]rgency wrt a customer????
                    When we finally told them that they can deliver the bed tomorrow (as they made it quite clear that it was not possible to deliver today), they first had no clue if they could accomodate the time we were wanting at. Then we got to know that the bed will be in an unpacked condition till pepper fry's carpenter comes. What time will the carpenter come? Will he come with the bed? Their executives response was that the carpenter will not come with the bed and they have no idea when he will come.
                    Very sorry state of affairs and an extreme inconvenience to us. Have to beg for an item to be delivered for which we have already done the full payment.
                    Never again going to order from Pepper fry. My first and last time. Thankyou very much for nothing.

                      I have ordered a Rocking chair and a mattress online with a HDFC gift plus card through Pepperfry website. After 40 days, Rocking chair is received in a damaged condition and the mattress is not delivered yet. they have taken the Rocking chair back and told me that the refund will be done in the original payment mode. I have explained them that the validity of the card is expired and asked them to refund in one of my accounts. I have called the customer care 5 times and have written emails seeking assistance. This is the worst customer care that I have received till now.

                      even after repeated requests they have refunded the amount into my expired gift card. I have called up the bank and they said renewal of the card or the extension of the credit limit is not possible. My 28, 000 INR money is stuck with pepperfry for almost 1.5 months and now it is stuck with Bank.

                      What is the mistake that the customer has done to go through all this follow-ups. I have a job and I cannot spend so many hours to resolve the issue that pepperfry has created. please help

                        1. The Delivery is scheduled without checking availability of the customer. Same case with the carpenter service
                        2.multiple items will not be delivered together even though they provide the option and you have raised the request
                        3. Product delivered with missing parts which you realize after the carpenter has assembled everything. Call center will tell you take picture of everything delivered. How do you do that once assembly is done and you realize at the end that a door spring is missing for the last piece.
                        4. Call center experience is the worst. Had the misfortune to talk to them 3 times and all they do is apologize but do not take care of the customer's grievances. There is no mechanism for escalation but you will end up having to deal with the same unreasonable person.

                          Extremely displeasured by Pepperfry staff ( carpenter and customer care) ..
                          Delayed delivery of product in the name of quality control and carpenter was assigned for the assembly the next day of delivery of product . After calling the assigned carpenter as per the SMS notification and continuous follow up, still he didn’t turn up for the entire day .After escalating about his unavailability, Pepperfry was unable to assigned another carpenter . The next day the carpenter ( K K BALAJI) turned up with extremely unprofessional behavior. He damaged the product while unpacking, leaving scratch marks here and there in bed and finally left with half assembly done .
                          In short - Buying a product from Pepperfry is waste of time and loss of peace of mind. I won’t recommend any one to give any sort of business to these unprofessional Pepperfry company.

                          The ConsumerComplaints Board,
                          This is bringing to your notice that Pepperfry team has not taken any action with regards to my complaint.
                          Calling customer care for grievance seems doesn’t affect them at all. It’s seems to be simply waste of time for customer.
                          I feel the way Pepperfry is working is nothing less than a online fraud. They didn’t even share invoice of the product purchased. They don’t have any complaint board to register any grievance except customer care number which is of no use.
                          Even I asked them to return product and refund my money they are straight forward saying I cant return product which is against their portal advertisement “Easy Return Policy”.
                          If there is no valid action taken against my complaint by COB today, I will be compelled to seek legitimate action against Pepperfry for Online fraud. There won’t be any out of court settlement from customer side.

                          Pepperfry portal new complaint and feedback ? section doesn't allow you to raise complaint since they kept submit button as disabled => u cant submit your complaint entries ( Truly Frustrating ) think hundred times before buying online especially from Pepperfry kind of FRAUDs.

                              This is for Pepperfry My letter of complaint for information to all Friends. please don't buy anything from Pepperfry

                              "The aforesaid product sofa cum bedset was purchased by me through Indian overseas Bank debit card on dated 26/5/2016 of Rs 20000. They had sent the consignment in few days with small mattress not the size of sofa cum bed size as they had sent what ever they had as told by them...then i had returned the consignment and they said that they will put the cash back in my account but till date i have not received the money. According to them it is bank problem (Indian overseas Bank). And that i should run to bank for money. I had twice given back statement to them but they say we have sent the money but now it's bank problem.
                              There appears to be total FRAUD and you are cheating the customers after selling the product."

                              Please acknowledge my complaint and let me know at what remedial measures you propose to take to safe guard your GOODWILL# PEPPERFRY

                                  FIRST EXPERIENCES AS WORST EVER IN ONLINE SHOPPING IN MY LIFE. IT IS ALL MOST EXPERIENCE WHICH MOVE ME THAT I NEVER USE ONLINE SIDE JUST BECAUSE OF PEPPERFRY.

                                  I am just simple customer which needs product in respect of money. But a terrible experiences given by pepperfry.

                                  It is such terrible services and customer shopping experience. It take my money by showing good product with amount and after issue with product they deny to take back, even replace the product.

                                  They simply close my complain and even not informing me.

                                  IT IS SUCH BAD EXPERIENCES/POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES/AND WEALTH LOSS .

                                    Subject : Cancellation - Pepperfry is refusing to cancel order even though it is not shipped, and saying that it is my "fault" for ordering. There is no single email address to reach out to, and the "Write to us" option asks to wait for 36-48 hours, which is not acceptable.

                                    I am not satisfied with the way cancellation policy has been “hidden” somewhere in the terms and conditions to “mislead” customers by using trick words as “Easy Returns”, and not mentioning about your no cancellation policy anywhere upfront in clear terms.

                                    I had a chance to speak with your customer service rep (Jaspreet?), who mentioned that it is my “Fault” that I have completed the order, despite me offering to pay a cancellation fee even though the product has not yet been shipped. I am not sure if her rude and uncouth behavior would help increase your customer base(I doubt it).

                                    I went through the workflow to purchase a product and captured screenshots along the way, and DID NOT find your “No cancellation” policy anywhere upfront. I also have screenshots of your iOS App which do not show the no cancellation policy upfront, and mislead customers with “Easy Returns”, and a UX philosophy that screams “hiding is not lying”.

                                    I am not sure if your Product UX managers intended to “hide” the “No cancellation” phrase somewhere, but it seems like they did, which clearly amounts to trickery.

                                    I do not agree that cheating your customers is a good way for a funded start-up to increase their user base.

                                    Please cancel my order and refund the amount.

                                      The product that I have received has a back which is of 1/2cm thickness and also comes in 2 pieces which is joined together with a cello tape. This is just a very poor quality of product and despite number of calls and complaints raised none of the agents seems to be bothered. No where on the description of the product does it say that the back of the product would be such poor quality and neither does the installation video show that the back of the product is made of 2 pieces which is joint by a cellotape. Request one of the seniors to look into the issue and help us in resolving the same.

                                        Consumers should be made aware of what trap they can get into after being lured by free coupons and freebie offers and made to around circles to get their money back.

                                        I have opened a page on Pepperfry.com to buy a particular product during the day. Stupid me, lured by a coupon sent by them as a bait to go for a purchase the same day or it gets expired. We were out for the day thereafter and reached home very late.

                                        Upon reaching home, we hurriedly tried to place the order for the product as the coupon expires within an hour. We went ahead with the process and made the payment. Lo and behold, the website Pepperfry is offering the same product Rs. 3, 000 cheaper at that very same moment.

                                        THE ATTACHED SCREEN SHOT RIGHT UPON PAYMENT SHOWS THE ITEM BEING OFFERED ABOUT RS. 3, 000 LOWER THAN WHAT I PAID A COUPLE OF MINUTES BEFORE.

                                        I realized that my purchase was made based on the history page open during the day. The site is offering the same thing much cheaper and they will be fair enough to honor the price they offer at that very moment. A screen shot was sent to them instantly with a request to please correct the matter.

                                        They are a smart company, have a good time of English speaking support staff and they will discuss the matter with you. Then starts the stonewalling, there's a coupon code catch, you entered this coupon code vs that. They won't look at the basic thing that their own site at that particular moment of purchase and for several days afterwards is selling the same thing much cheaper.

                                        Message given is you get screwed by a code, the code they sent to lure you to purchase with the total disrespect to what is given easily to other is denied to you, because you have already been fooled.

                                        Funny thing is that we are going for major renovation and had a number of things shortlisted for purchase from their website. Glad that we got caught up with other things and saved the misery of dealing with them.

                                        Now, our request to cancel is not being honored either. Do they not know that when we have not even taken a delivery of the product, it is a total disrespect to deny us the option to cancel our purchase. Apart from against consumer rights and law of the land.

                                        I am determined to take it to whatever extend to get my refund from them.
                                        Consumers should be made aware of what trap they can get into after being lured by free coupons and freebie offers and made to around circles to get their money back.
