Pizza HUt should stop fooling people with their promotional offer saying "30 Mins or free".
I placed an order (Order no - 2788). After 20 mins, I got a call saying that pizza delivery will take another 10-15 mins. After 30 mins I got a message from Pizza Hut - " Dear Customer, apologies
- your order no. 2788 is delayed and will reach to you shortly.Please accept discount of Rs.500 or the order value whichever is lesser. Pizza Hut delivery."
When Delivery boy (Vinod) come to my door with pizza, I shown him the message, He bluntly said that He is not going to give the pizza free as he has informed that delivery will be late. He said either I should pay the amount or He is taking back the pizza. He also said that He dont trust the message and I have to pay.
When I reported the incident to pizza hut center, they said that the stomre manager will speak to
me. Then the Store manager (Shalini) also said that My address does not come under Koramangala area
and hence it will not be free. I told her that I am not a first time user of Pizza Hut, previously also I have ordered and everytime I got within 30 mins and u can check my previous orders as well.
She then transferred the call to her General Manager (Rajeeva). He is saying that since his delivery boy informed that he will be late, so delivery cannot be discounted. I asked then where is the slogan "30 mins or free". The guy can be in traffic and he can say that he will be late. Does this mean that I will not get discount? I asked whether he said anytime that the delivery will not get discount as he has told me. Rajeeva is giving me suggestion that I should inform the call center ppl that place my order in HSR and not in Koramangala center. I said even u have my address, u should not have taken the order as u were sure that u r not gonna deliver in time. Its an information that he will be late, nowhere its mentioned or he said that I will not get any discount when delivery boy informs customer that he will be late. I said whether he comes 10 mins late or 20 mins late, for me I am eligible for discount when I get a message, He says that Pizza Hut sent message by mistake, Customer will not get discount if the delivery boy informs that he will be late.
I asked to speak to his manager Lokesh. First his phone was busy, I m sure these ppl were informing him abt the incident. I called again an again, his mobile ([protected]) kept ringing and he did not pick the call. I msged him as well but still no reply from him.
Finally, I logged a complaint (Complaint No[protected] and still I did not get any calls from
them - more than 30 mins but they say that I will be getting calls within 5 mins, Wonder which clock or watch they use.
Now I am wondering, How these ppl work. They dont care of their own slogan "30 mins or free".
Despite going by that, they are finding reasons to hide their inability to deliver in time.
They are giving lame excuses and worst part is that they dont know how to talk. Dont know on what
basis they get hired also. They talk so blunt and rude. Instead of correcting their inability, they are advising ppl to order in some other store. And senior person is not picking up the calls.
I know nothing is going to happen, but I am still writing because I really did not like someone bringing food to my door and then taking it back, giving false expectation to its customer by first sending them message and then by not going by the messages. Wonder this happens to a regular customer, what will happen to New customers.Hoping to take some actions,

i had to check with them again and a continuous follow up went on to ensure that they understood my complaint.. then they considered to correct it.. but by then the whole experience is gone...
when veg pizz and non-veg pizza is order.. the labelling of green and red to indicate veg and non-veg is never proper... i wonder how they can get into such basic mistakes..
u are right.. dominos is a bit better in their operations.. of course they also commit mistakes ... but not these basic ones..
