[Resolved] Policy Bazaar — Re: Non receipt of policy and Refund Denied for more than 45 days
I bought TATA AIG travel insurance on July 30th 2016 through PolicyBazaar for the sum of Rs 9387. The amount got deducted from my account but I never received the policy copy. I bought this to your immediate notice. I was asked to wait for 7 working days for amount to be credited back to my account. Since the amount is not credited after 7 working days I contacted you again and I was advised that your team is in touch with the Merchant(Tata AIG) for the refund and advised me to purchase another policy. As per your advise I went ahead and purchased another insurance policy for the same amount of Rs 9387 and same merchant TATA AIG and this time I had received the policy copy, Since I haven't got the refund for the first transaction I contacted your support again and I was asked to submit the bank statements and other proofs for the transaction which I did on July 30th 2016 and I was shocked to hear from your support agent that TATA AIG has not received the payment. Later I was advised to contact the SBI bank through which I made the payment and ask for a refund. The bank denied the refund stating the merchant has taken the money, Now I'm totally confused and shocked that when I made the payment and the bank statement has clearly mentioned that the payment is made and TATA AIG has taken the money how can the merchant deny that the payment is not received.
Its been more than 45 days now and I still have not received my payment and I am getting various excuses like the merchant has not tracked the payment, some back end issue, etc..
In spite of me requesting a call back from either Mr Varun or someone from TATA AIG i never got any response. Every time I called the support and requested a call from Varun I never get a call, This is very disappointing and it has caused a lot of mental agony as I don't get any proper response from your support.
I'm fed up with these excuses and I want to you to refund my money and settle this issue as a high priority. I used your portal to buy policy and it is your duty to settle the issue. As a senior citizen I don't have to run around your back end team or payment gateway to get my money back.
