I, Namita Pramanik, am 89 year old pensioner. Due to my old age I stay with my son at Navi Mumbai. I had my pension account[protected] with UBI Puratanbazar Kharagpur branch
After merging o[censored]BI bank with PNB I received a PNB cheque book containing 30 leaves vide serial nos. 736111 through 736130 for my pension account[protected] held with PNB (earlier UBI) of Puratanbazar, Kharagpur branch. I issued cheque no. 736111 dt. 05.10.2021 for Rs. 67, 000/- and deposited to my bank account with IDBI bank. The bank returned on the pretext of having insufficient money in account whereas the account had Rs.69, 650/-. Also PNB deducted cheque bounce charge of Rs.118/- and IDBI bank charged me 177\- for no fault of mine.
After lodging complaint with the Puratanbazar branch through email, did not get any response. Again I issued a cheque 736112 of 48000/- and deposited in IDBI bank in my own account. The cheque also bounced by bank for no apparent reason. Again PNB charged 118/- and IDBI charged 177/- for cheque bounce.
Please acknowledge my complaint and refund the amount deducted immediately. Also ensure that my next and subsequent cheques are not bounced.
I applied for ATM card with PNB twice but did not get ATM as well as no response from the PNB, Puratanbazar Kharagpur branch. Local PNB branch of khandeshwar, Navi Mumbai branch tried to call the Puratanbazar branch but no one responding call.
Please note, the bank has not provided me ATM card, Internet Banking facility, in spite of repeated application in UBI and PNB, also did not provide any mobile no. for sending SMS for positive pay system. So ensure that my next cheques are not bounced. I am a senior citizen of age 89years and these harassment from a reputed bank like PNB is not desirable, it puts lot of pressure on my health and mind.
now tell me how can I draw my money from bank who are bouncing cheques for no reason, did not provide me ATM card and did not provide me Internet banking.
Hope I het a response and issue is resolved asap, and all my cheque bounce charges (total 590/-, PNB charged total 236/- and IDBI charged 354/-) are paid back to me. Also the bank must pay me harassment charges of 50000/- as penalty.
