I have Booked Bus from Aluva to Bangalore via redbus.com on Sunday, July 5, 2015, Below are the ticket Details :

Bus Operator : Nila Travels
Total Fare :Rs. 1, 500
On Just previous day of the journey, i got a call from a lady (She told she is from Nila Travels ) i have been informed that, This bus is cancelled due to some technical issue, so please book another Bus for your journey, also they will be giving the refund of full amount with in 2 week to the same account from where the Booking is done (i did payment via redbus.com using my HDFC netbanking ). After long time since there is no refund i called redbus customer care and asked about it, then they told, refund is not yet initiated, because i did not requested for that..!!! Then they raised request from their end for refund of the same and told that it will be done in 2 - 3 week of time.
Refund Request # RB[protected] .
Now i could see that they have closed this refund request stating, that the request must be done with in 10 days of the journey date..!!
My question is :
1. If that is the case why the Bus operator told me that the credit will happen automatically to the account since the bus is cancelled.!
2. If the Bus is getting cancelled by the Operator, why the People should run behind redbus/Operator for the refund, as they are well aware that the money should be given back to the customer.
Please help me in this..
