DEFICIENCY OF SERVICE IN RELIANCE FRESH STORE, TILAKWADI, BELGAUM

I am a loyal customer of Reliance Fresh right from the year it started in Hyderabad. Due to my transfer I shifted to Belgaum and here also for more than 2 ½ years I visit the store regularly for buying various things from the store.

1. Most of the personnel in the store who are manning the cash counters are not aware of the periodic offers, when demanded for the same they keep a blank face & instead ask us where you have seen it? Again we have to demand for it by showing the latest pamphlet. Are we not supposed to get the same without making a demand?

2. One more commonly occurring problem is, though Maximum Retail Price (MRP) is mentioned on the product, still you are overcharged, this you realize only after reaching home, if you do not see then forget. That apart, sometimes you are also overcharged for an item due to the mistake of the personnel manning the cash counter. (for eg., take the case of Apples – though you buy Shimla apples you are charged the price of American Apples). I have decided that, next time if I am overcharged for any item I am approaching Consumer Forum.

3. Another complaint is that, you buy some product on which some item is given free but after going home you realize that, the free item is not delivered to you. Again you have to visit for the same.

4. Recently, the whole store was overhauled for reasons best known to the Store Manager, thereafter we can’t find items we need, that easily we have to search for it, resulting in wastage of time. I do not know for whose convenience it was done? Further, you find items of a single type of various brands spilled over in various places of the store and not kept in a single rack. Why can’t they be kept in a single place/rack like earlier times?

5. The person manning the counter, never bothers who are standing in the queue, he thinks they are fools and mostly entertains the customers who do not follow the queue system. Who wants to spoil their mood by questioning?

6. Sometimes we receive pamphlets in the newspapers of goods available in the store, but if you visit the store you find that most of the goods advertised in the pamphlets are not at all available in the store. Why to advertise for unavailable goods?

7. The personnel who are posted inside the store (and not at the cash counters) to help the customers are not aware about the prices of goods or about the availability of goods in the store.

8. The billing machine always goes out of order only when you present the credit /debit card and not carrying enough cash with you. Again you are made to rush to the ATM to get money. If you are carrying enough cash, the machine works fine.

9. Sometimes you like an item which is on offer, and when you take it to the billing counter, you are told rudely that the system is not recognizing the product.

10. During peak shopping hours, not all the cash counters are opened, you find personnel wandering around instead of clearing the rush.

11. One more problem is, cash counters are not stacked with sufficient change.

12. Sometimes, there is also a problem of Non availability of basic items.

13. Lastly, there is a perennial problem of haphazard parking of vehicles in front of the tore and there’s no one to monitor it.

I do not have any enmity against anybody, and sincerely hope to receive better services from the store hereafter, hence request the Customer Care Personnel of Reliance Fresh to take a peek into the matter before things turn bad.

    Sir,
    I purchase a “Minute made 100% orange juice 1 ltr” from Reliance fresh store
    New sanganer road sodala jaipur rajasthan, they tagged offer pries 40 rs and they charged amount in bill is 85 rs and the product is also near 1 day of expire date, the photos of bill and product pries attached sir please help me.

      I have purchased provisions in RELIENCE FRESH from the shop at Nelson Manikiam Road, Aminjikarai, Chennai on 30th Sept'2011 at around 10:30am. total cost of items i have purchased was Rs.3,163.47/- through my Union Bank Debit card Account Number:[protected], since the boy who was at collection point has swiped card twice and entered the amount twice, it has debited 2 times and caused Rs. 3,163.47/- has been charged extra. Accordingly my accound balance has come down. I request to credit back the amount excess drawn by Relience fresh immediately, for reference my account statement has been attached here with for your ready reference and action

          On 3 october, the reliance member overbilled the Bournvita 500g for Rs.155 ,where as the M.R.P. written on it was Rs. 146. On overbilled price they are giving Rs 18 off, whereas they had advertised in all daily hindi newws paper that on Rs. 146 they are giving Rs. 18 off. This is cheating the customers . If you ask them about this the manager and staff people start using bad language.

            I am happy to see over a 1000 complaints on this forum against Reliance Fresh. Looks like we are not the only dissatisfied customers!
            Although the store in Medavakkm, Chennai, is well-stocked, there is just one cashier, even during peak shopping hours. The Store Manager, a man just in his early 20s, has no respect for the customers or care for their comfort while shopping. He is usually never around- which is probably better, as anyway he provides poor supervision. The store's assistants are ill-trained and seem to think they are themselves Ambanis!
            My shopping experience at this shop has never been pleasant. All self-respecting residents of the neighbourhood who value their time, money and dignity would probably soon stop shopping at this poorly run outlet, which is in fact a disgrace to Reliance. Reliance should take more care when lending its name to franchisee outlets such as these. The store even issues a highly intrusive form asking us extensive details about our family structure, income and educational level, all in the name of some "points" for shopping! I am amazed that educated people really care to fill and submit these forms in to the people who are after all just running a retail shop!!

              We are regular customer of your reliance fresh at Mohar singh Nagar.. For a long time we are claiming for the reliance fresh points but no one is ready to listen for it. When ever we have asked for the reliance fresh points, your receptionist ignore and says that we don't know anything about it. An employee working there Rinku, misguide the customer. whenever we asked for the points he ignore the customer and just stay on his phone call. There is no one other who listens to the customer complaint.

                Hi!

                This is complaint about misbehavior and robbery at Reliance fresh at Whitefield in Bangalore. Just today at around 2:15 in the afternoon I went to this store in my office car for an official purpose of buying a sample. This is hardly any distance form my office, about 2 mins drive in car. the store had no customers, except for one probably who was at the billing counter. it was the normal empty store of afternoon for them, the cleaning and arranging work was going on. I was inside the store for roughly about 5 mins, and was coming back to my office as did not find the sample required there. at my office gate i realized i had left my mobile on the shelf in the reliance fresh store while looking at products. Immediately the car driver called on my phone to see if its ringing and we thought we will tell anyone who picks up the phone in the store to please keep it with them and we are coming in a minute to take it back.

                it was ringing and there was no answer. meanwhile we were driving towards the store. the moment the car reached outside the store, my mobile was switched off. we went in and asked for the manager. he was called and he came out of the store room. i explained the loss of my mobile at his store and requested him to do a check of everyone in the store. he refused bluntly. he said sorry nobody in our staff has taken your mobile, and so I will not check or ask anyone. on repeated requests he refused to take any kind of action. I went back to office losing hope. picked up my bag and left office, thinking i will go back and ask them more strongly this time, and not give up just like that.

                Went to the store again, told that manager firmly that it was not fair that he was not even doing a check. he said he was confident about the integrity of his employees, so i told him why do you fear then, check everyone. he kept fighting and giving excuses like they are busy etc. but honestly, like anyone would have observed, during mid afternoons, there is no business or work at such stores. So, he was clearly avoiding the check. When i started arguing very strongly, I told him I don't want to speak to and asked him to call his superior. He called his manager/superior, who was more rude than anyone there. I tried my best to explain it was an official number and as I 'am a working woman there are a lot of important numbers stored in the phone which need and cannot work without. That was the number people in my company reach me, and its very very important for me. Yet it was of no use. He pointed fingers at me and shouting, saying, go and complaint in police, its not our problem. I cannot explain the kind of treatment I got there.

                Unfortunately it is the store we shop the most for all regular needs of vegetables/fruits/groceries etc.

                The conclusion for me and for others reading this is, if at all this happens to you, it will be a suffering. So avoid going to such stores where there is no respect and value for customers like us.

                  It has happened 4-5 times. We read the offer of Reliance Fresh in newspaper in which it was mentioned that on purchase of a particular thing, some other thing will be free with this, but the staff at the store said that there is no such offer available. (it has happened 2-3 times). Again, we were shopping at the same store (East Delhi-Jagat Puri) few days after & saw a tag hanging in front of the products, which said the offer is of Buy 1 Get 1. Still to clear the confusion, we asked one of the staff members, that the offer is actually available on which product. We bought the same product, but at the billing counter, the person said that it is not available on this product, but on other products & also refused to refund the cash (after we said that we are not interested in buying that product). Either, the staff is not educated properly about the offers or they are just befooling the customers. Kindly look into the matter.

                    I PURCHASE SEALING FAN OF BRAND NAME USHA STELLA. IT WAS ON WARRANTY PERIOD. WHEN THE FAN STOPS RUNNING. I DEPOSIT IT ON THE SAME STORE ON 13TH AUGUST 2011. THE STORES MANAGER ASSURED THAT IT WILL BE OK WITHIN TWO DAYS, WHEN I WENT ON 16TH, HE ANSWER THAT WE HAVE SUBMITTED IT TO THE CONCERN COMPANY FOR REPAIRING & WAIT FOR TWO DAYS. I CAME BACK & AGAIN I WENT THERE AFTER TWO DAYS THE REPLY WAS SAME. WHEN I WENT THERE AFTER TWO DAYS BOTH THE MANAGERS WERE NOT THERE, I MADE A PHONE CALL TO HIM BUT THE ANSWER WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAT WE ARE OUTSIDE THE CITY & INFORM YOU WITHIN 10MIN. I DIDN'T GET ANY PHONE CALL FROM THERE SIDE. WHEN I CALL HIM ON 5TH OF SEP. HE ANSWER ME HOW WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAME & THE MANUFACTURER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT. AND HE ASSURED ME THAT WAIT FOR 10MIN. I WILL INFORM YOU. BUT I DID NOT GET ANY CALL FROM HIM. I DIDN'T GET THAT IS IT MY FAULT TO PURCHASE ANY ITEM FROM SAME STORE ?

                      Reliance fresh limited located at Plot No-738,739, Govindaprasad, Cuttack Road,Bhubaneswar,Orissa,Pin-751006 charged more in the bill C1024#0047 on 31.08.2011 S02552 R 005 card no-[protected] than the MRP cost mentioned in the product packet. When it is verified by me I found that out of 68 items four items have been charged more in the bill. Items are like Rishta Ext Soji 500gram 14.40 instead of 14.00, R Select Kabuli chan Rs 48/- instead of Rs45/-, R Value Jeera 100gram Rs35/- instead of Rs30/- and Navneet 22912 My Yel Rs22/- instead of Rs19/-.there is provision that bill amount can not exceed the MRP amount mentioned in the product. It is a regular practice observed by staff of Reliance fresh to earn some money by selling the image of Reliance Fresh with the help of computer technology as consumer belives the computer bill blindly. To keep the reputation intact in the market aswell as with the customer the company authority may investigate this issue and issue necessar guidelines to the staff member not to exploit the consumer in this cheating process.

                        It is to be noted that Retail Raliance Fresh store, near Kedia Palace road, Jhotwara Jaipur has very poor performance in case of availability of Items, Billing and customer satisfaction. Every time I visited there is unavailability of required items and moreover the person do not know the arrival time.

                        There are three billing counters but the persons are not available, thus leading to high wiating time.

                        The gaurd sitting outside is not bothered to open the gate wether there is a lady or child standing on the door. he keep on sitting and watching.

                        If you cannot maintian a store then shut it down. Why the customer waste his time when you cannot refill the items consumed.

                        This is heights of negligence.

                          i went to buy ''rite bite'' chocolates/health bar from reliance fresh store at vidhyadhar nagar, jaipur. there i found they had many expired pieces among the fresh ones. i brought that to the notice of the store manager. after complaining i went to buy some other products, but i was watching him from a distance, he wiped that expiry date from many chocolates and put them back in the lot.
                          i was amazed to see that.

                            On 25th June 2011, I bought groceries item from Reliance Fresh for Rs. 310.65 and I used my credit card to pay the bill however the cashier swipe my card twice first time it was on the ATM Machine & on the second time it was on the their Monitor right hand side. After that swipe I got two messages from my Bank stating I made a purchase..... This was informed immediately to the cashier he said it should not be kindly check with your bank. I waited for more 3 days to get reflect in my account and it got reflected, again this was informed to the cashier and also the Manager. They informed that they will consult this with their Branch Accountant Mr. Ram and will get back to me and this procedure will take around 15 days. Now after 15 days whenever I visit the Branch they keep telling me to wait for another 15 days. The purchase was made on 25th June and today it is 25 Aug. This issue is past 2 month and I don't know what is next step that I should take to get this thing resolved. I am very upset with the administration process by one of the largest reatail chain Management companies in India.
                            Need assistance by some one to know what would be my next step.

                              Mrs. Priti here. I want to lodge a complaint agnst customer care executives of Reliance Fresh at Vikhroli (east). When I went to the shop to return the things of total value is of Rs.100/- and wanted to shop for other things, one exe told to come next time with all returnable things because 1 pkt I forgot to bring. After 2 days when I visited for the same purpose, another exe. denied to change the articles saying it not the policy to change 3-4 items. As it is not written on the receipt anywhere that they will not accept the thinngs more than 3-4. I showed him those points but it is in vain.
                              So I want to know that is your staff has their own thinking of rules and regulations or what? Is that so, then you are misguiding your precious customers.
                              Awaiting for your action taken for such condition..

                                Greetings,

                                On 30th March 2013, I bought groceries from Reliance Fresh (Porur/Chennai) for Rs. 535.03 and I used my ICICI debit card to pay the bill however the cashier swipe my card twice first time it was on their Monitor right hand side & on the second time it was on the ATM Machine . After that swipe I got two messages from my Bank stating I made a purchase... This was informed immediately to the cashier and showed the messages from the bank.She asked me to contact the manager. Manager informed that they have to check the day closing statements and need one day time to check the statements. Next day when I went there manager asked me to check with VIJAYA, a lady employee. Without checking anything she told me" if you have any disputes bring your bank statement". Immediately I bring the bank statement to prove that I've paid even if I showed the messages from bank. She told that she has to send it to corporate office. I asked for any contact number, so that I can follow up the case. She didn't even respond to that first. After repeated request she gave me a number. Also I asked her to copy me on the mail. She didn't even show the patience to get the email address correctly. She was very rude on her behavior and she was not even ready to listen anything. I feel extremely ashamed not because we loose the money, because of the rude behavior of the employees. I wish to forward this to reliance fresh higher management.

                                  MY FIRST EXPRIENCE IN RELIANCE FRESH BRAMHPURI STORE NCR DELHI.

                                  It is 10-Aug-2011.My self Arjun sharma .Today I visited in reliance fresh bramhpuri store. Store was good but there staff was not good. When I finished my shopping. I wanted to give my feedback for store and for staff and I went to a desk .There was written that How may I serve you. After that I said a person that I want to give my feedback and please give me feedback book. And I said him 5 times but he did not listen to me carefully. When I asked his name He did not tell me. Again I asked that person what is your name and your employee ID. Both things He did not tell me. And He spoke to me like a slap to me. I know only 2 staff member. First One Rohit (Em. ID.[protected], second one vikash (Em. ID 6008073), they both know .what is that employee name .who misbehaves with me. That person does not know value of custumors.and please tell me which action has been taken by you.

                                    WE PURCHASE FROM RELIANCE FRESH Rs. 10 TO 1,000.00 THERE STAFF NO PROVIDING CARRY BAGS AND WE DEMAND THERE CHARGE Rs..3.0 TO 50.00, WHY RELIANCE WAS RUINING IN LOSSES HE ASKING MORE MONEY FOR CARRY BAGS , RELIANCE A VERY REPAPERED COMPANY BUT DOING LIKE A SMALL MAN THING IF RELIANCE NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE THE CARRY BAGS THERE CLOSE STORE TILL BAG CAME HE WAS EARNING DOUBLE INCOME , CARRY BAGS PROVIDE A SMALL VENDORS AND RELIANCE IS BIG , WE REQUEST YOU PLEASE PROVIDE CARRY BAGS TO CUSTOMERS DON'T GIVE TROUBLE .

                                    Reliance fresh charges for carry bags, if any customer visits for 1st time and dont know that taking carrybag from reliance result him extra cost

                                    I visited their store in panchkula sec 20 and shop for Rs. 300 products
                                    I paid the bill and took a carrybag at my own, was not aware that they charge for carrybag, when i came outside, security man asked me where is the bill of carrybag ? I replied kya carrybag k bhi paise lagte hain, at this he talked vry rudely and misbehaved with me, i returned back to him his carrybag,

                                    why reliance sell products at discounted price, if they can not give bags, they should stop giving discounts, customer dont visit stores for getting insulted
                                    I am not against charging money in reliance fresh.Atleast they are encouraging using biodegradable bags which costs less and good for the environment.we should also feel responsibility and increase the use of non plastic bags to stop the pollution.The people who visit reliance, more like supermarkets can easily pay that little amount to save the environment.I, as a customer, saves the reliance bags for reuse and use gunny bags for my groceries.

                                      On 6th Aug 2011 Reliance fresh displayed an full page advertisement in Hindustan Times City regarding various food products available at cheaper rates. However I visited 2 stores at Pusa Road and Desh Bandhu Gupta Road in New delhi but both the stores were bare and not having even half the items advertised, Very misleading and wastage of my time, car fuel and energy as I am a senior citizen. This is third time when it has happened.

                                      I demand Reliance Fresh and its subsidary companies compensate me for my efforts, petrol and time wasted. I intend to write to the Media on this issue as it tantamounts to misleading and cheating the general public through expensive ads placed in reputed dailies like Hindustan Times.

                                        This morning I visted Reliance Fresh at Kharghar.I have purchased few items from there. Came to know from
                                        the product shelf & their Advisement in Hindustantimes that Bournvita 500gm (all Variants) MRP Rs.143 onwards FREE two 5 star Crunchy 38gms worth Rs.30.
                                        At the Cash Counter the Cashier refuse to give the Free item and charged me Rs.164.00 for the item.I went
                                        back to the shelf and showed the cashier the offer. He then took Rs.2,00 from me and gave me 1 five star
                                        crunchy.

                                        A second bill was produced showing item return -Rs.164 Bournvita 500 grs 146-5star F &N Rs.20.00 and
                                        charged me Rs.20.00

                                        Infact they originally took from me Rs.20(included in the bill Rs.164) + Rs.2.00 = Rs,22.00 and gave me a 5 star.
