This is regarding ticket no 1408 207, brand new renault kwid bought from anna nagar, chennai showroom on 13/1/2016 which broke down on 20/1/2016 in vellore.
I bought this renault kwid from Annanagar chennai showroom on 13/1/2016 and took it for my first ride :( 2 weeks back to vellore and i was returning back to chennai on 20/1/2016, I was getting petrol smell inside the car, so was checking everywhere and found that the petrol is leaking below my car engine, contacted customer care on 21/1/2016 and they advised me to stop the care and tow it to vellore showroom, and they towed it to vellore show room, after the initial investigation they found that the fuel pipe has burst and it is a manufacturing defect and they dont have a spare parts for that so said they cannot do it on the same day and since the parts has to be shipped from their chennai plant it will take 2 or 3 days but promised that they will do their best and place a high priority order since the car is non drivable and promised a delivery on 23/1/2016. I asked for a drop to chennai since car broke down and it was a manufacturing defect, so they (Vellore showroom ) arranged for a taxi and promised that they will pay half the price of taxi and the remaining amount should be paid by me and the half money will be paid when i come back to collect my car . So based on these promises i left my car in their showroom and returned back to chennai.
I was disappointed because it is a brand new car and because of the manufacturing defect i had to go through all these horrible experience of stopping my trip and drop the car in a showroom and leave it there and only half of the taxi price would be provided by renault, so i had called renault customer care on 21/1/2016 and raised a complaint about this and asked them what was the root cause, till now it is 30th of december, 11 days since my car broke down, i did not get any response, i have been daily following up with Renault customer care, but till now no updates has been provided by Renault, everytime it is the same thing " The corresponding team person is not available and a return call will be arranged as soon as possible"
I fed up calling them, i asked many times to connect to a supervisor or escalate the issue, but they say they dont have any supervisors, but everytime the same promise that the customer service person will personally escalate this call and somebody will call back.
I also spoke to the branch manager, he initially said the parts will arrive on 21/1/2016 and will deliver on 21/1/2016, when i called on 21/1/2016, he says the parts was missed, but it is a half an hour job and he will deliver my car as soon as the parts arrive, he said it is not his mistake, it was renault which did not send the parts, it is 10 days since he ordered for parts, but he is yet to get the parts from their chennai plant where the car is manufactured, which is roughly 100 kms away from vellore showroom which is 2 hours drive from vellore .
After this and after following up so many times through phone, got fed up with their voice based customer care and showroom, emailed them with full details 3 days back and till now no response has been given by the show room or the voice based customer service or their customer care email team.
I have reminded them every day since i sent a email, but even then they have not replied to my email till now. I already sent a email to them saying that if this is how they will treat their customers i will take them to the social forums etc, but even then they dont care !! .
This shows their arrogance and worst customer service!! And i wonder if they dont get a spare part for 10 days that too to vellore which is very close to the place where this car is manufactured ( Chennai), i wonder how they are going to treat their pan india customers.
I request people to think twice or thrice before buying this vehicle, this could at best be a good looking toy, but not a real car . And customer care forget it !!

Complaint marked as Resolved Fuel hose replaced to satisfaction.It took time, after following up rigorously they changed it !!.
It was not a ideal experience, but considering this a new car, teething problems exists, but hopefully renault concentrates on Kwid post delivery services.
