Reporting an extremely disappointing experience of a close family member in buying a Samsung Refrigerator from Reliance Digital store. Here's a brief timeline -
11th Oct, 2020 - RT47M623ESL purchased from Reliance Digital, Diamond Plaza, Kolkata
13th July, 2021 - Cooling issues. Samsung engineer came & replaced the entire evaporator unit saying "this fridge might have been defective from beginning"
8th Sept, 2021 - Same issue resurfaced in such a short span! Now begins the real ordeal. After 3 days, a service engineer came & said "looks like an choke issue, but I don't have the necessary tools, someone else will come soon"
After another 3 days, the next engineer mentioned that they had been given a wrong report & the issue looks to be different. After another 2 days, the service engineer is yet to come back. The refrigerator is off for more than a week now!
It has been an extremely harrowing experience for the family who are unable to get one of the most necessary appliances in a consistently working state. They have followed up with Samsung helpline, Reliance digital folks, dropped multiple emails, sadly to no avail.
Their warranty is expiring in a month & who is guaranteeing this issue won't occur again (when the family would have to pay for the damaged parts) ?
Please address this issue at the earliest, the family has suffered enough! Arrange for a replacement (since engineers have said these problems were not due to manhandling) or extend the warranty.
