I was promsied a 50K loyalty discount as my father already uses a skoda. I had booked the car once this was promised on 7th November. The manager Gopal called me on 14th and said that they cannot give the discount if the car is bought under my name. I asked him to change the name to my Fathers and he agreed. At this point he even mentioned that he was sorry for the wrong information by the sales person Naren earlier as I was his first client he made a mistake. I got a call today and they are saying that even my Father cannot get a loyalty discount of 50K and they can instead offr a cash discount of 30K from their end.

I am really upset with this horrible customer service by skoda employees.

    About September 15, 2018, my car, skoda octavia (Purchase of July 2015) 2.0 TDI AT Elegance started giving problems of light being displayed indicating issues with engine. I thereafter contacted service advisor with Akoya Motors Private Limited situate at Baner. He advised my to have the said vehicle towed to their workshop from Khopoli (Maharashtra) a distance of 70 KM. despite having RSA package, had to pay approximately Rs. 5500/= for this service.

    on inspection the day after, the service advisor stated that they have found the problems associated with the fuel pump. stating that i have used inferior quality fuel. In response, I stated that we have only 5 manufacturers / distributors of Diesel in this country viz. HPCL, BPCL, IOC, Reliance and Essar and that all car manufacturers know about this fact. all car manufacturers have to ensure that fuels marketed by these suppliers are compatible with their machinery and metallurgy. Thereafter the service centre kept the car for repairs for a couple of days and delivered the rectified car to me. they claimed that they have replaced my car's fuel pump with a new one and that its free as its covered under my extended warranty.

    I face the same issue again today and propose to visit the service centre tomorrow. this is within 2 months of the supposedly new fuel pump replacement.

      skoda rapid fuel injector issue - every year 25k bill

      Every year the fuel injector of my skoda rapid 1.6 tdi fails and i end up paying 25k. The last time the fuel injector failed and i complained the service center immediately said its fuel injector issue and wanted to replace it. On escalating the matter they did something and fixed it within hours and returned the car but that was a temperory fix to close the escalation. I had the car checked for errors outside and they see that the fuel injector...

      This is with reference my skoda superb bearing registration number mh 05 gm 6791 and this car has just done 33000 kms.in last 4 years.

      I bought skoda superb from jmd auto navi mumbai in the year 2014. My car is giving a massive problem from day 1 when i bought it (Oct 2014). The said car has been send to your dealership in jmd kandivli work shop (Mahesh – manager) on various occasion starting from 2014, unfortunately for the same issue repeatedly.

      Below is the detailed narration of all the episodes:

      This car was being timely serviced by jmd authorised dealer in bhandup / kandivli. Records for the same must be available in your database. It seems we were given the delivery of vehicle with inferior quality having lot of faulty defect items inside the car.

      - the issue started with the mechatronics failure in jan 2015 which was changed under warranty by your dealer ship it has some suspension related problems. Car has kept at garage for almost 15-20 days. Post this car was running fine for some time.
      - un fortunately, again during mid-2015, the clutch problem had cropped up resulting the car to be nothing more than a piece of junk. It’s really shocking that within a year of purchase the clutch has got a problem. This is really ridiculous and never expected from a german brand. Now again the car was bought to your dealer – jmd skoda kandivli. After may follow ups this time again got the issue resolved under warranty. Car has been kept in the dealer location for almost a month.
      - again, during sept 2015 car has been sent to jmd for humming / jerking issue which is still not able to resolve by any of jmd technical advisors.
      - however, as if the miser of going through mechatronic failure wasn’t enough, we were given the delivery of the vehicle with faulty battery. During may 2016 my car just stopped in the middle of the road and would not start. I had to wait for 4-5 hours to get this vehicle to workshop after jump starting and thank god the battery got finally changed since the car was under warranty, otherwise it would have costed me a lot of money.
      - now again in sept 2016, post driving the car for 200 kms. Again there is an issue with the water pump which was got replaced, jerking issue remain constant.
      - in jan 2017, there are few electronic sensor parts replaced
      - in may 2017, break liner got replaced
      - in march 2018, cooling pump got replaced.
      - in sept 2018, there is a sudden petrol smell started coming inside the car. Engine spare part was got changed, which was not covered under warranty (Approx. 25000)
      - in nov 2018, there is one more engine spare part (Evapcanist) got changed which is not covered under warranty. (Approx.. 12000)

      I am sure the above mail has explained the entire scenario and by now you must have gauged our level of misery / inconvenience we have faced because of this car / dealership. This car has been kept more than 120 days at service station for all the above reasons and i am left with no vehicle to travel.
      I request you to kindly look into this matter and let us know how to take the same ahead. I surely wouldn't bare any more cost pertaining to any future failure as this car has been faulty since the beginning itself and surely the dealer has been careless / negligent in repairing it in all these years, hence new problem has cropped up as and when it was send to jmd dealer service centre. I would request skoda to replace this car at your cost with immediate effect.

      I could have written my misery to haymarket / team bhp / automotive india and let the world know what we have been going through, but i have full faith and trust in skoda india, hence writing to you first to evaluate and help resolve our misery.

        rapid 1.6 tdi

        Skoda and volks wagon cars product quality is most pathetic i ever seen from a german car manufacturer. I am also facing the problem of injectors this is second time. My skoda rapid 1.6 tdi has done only 81, 000 kms. I strongly feel that japanese and korean cars are better i still own a 2004 diesel car crdi from hyundai done 268, 700 kms injectors are absolutely ok cleaned only once in last 13 years....

        Mr krishnananda had brought his car with complaint to the service center at mangalore.. There were complaints such as the car 4 sensor lights on and wobbling during driving..
        On checking the car at the service centre they got everything fixed and they said the wobbling is due to wheel disc having got bent and should be checked at the tyre shop and get wheel balancing and alignment done. We checked in at the tyre shop in udupi for wheel balancing and alignment. They even forgot to put back the lower engine cover which we came to know in the tyre shop, and on enquiring with service center they said they forgot to fix it.in tyre shop after thorough check up we were told that the wobbling was due to the wear out of rear suspension bush which they showed us and gave us the video recording which i wish to send it for reference..

        These are all problems which as a customer facing at your service center. I request you to kindly look into the matter and take necessary action so that the customer is not disappointed regarding the service

          Hi,

          I am jameel, own a skoda rapid 2014 model ka04 mn 1729. I had always thought its a good decision me buying a skoda rapid instead of city, verna or ciaz. Unfortunately, i think am paying the price for that now.

          Last time when i had given the vehicle for service at 35000 kms in may 2018, i was informed clutches are little tight and might have to be replaced after 5000 kms (After 40k kms). However they can confirm the percentage of worn out only after removing complete set which would have high impact on labour cost. I requested them to change without giving a second thought as i had to come back for service again only after a year and did not want my vehicle to face any issue.

          I received the vehicle after service which totally cost me about 40k. I was happy and expected everything is fine. I drive on an average of 1000 kms per month. After 5+ months, i had completed about 41kms and was driving from bangalore to coimbatore on national highways with my family (5nov 2018) where i had difficulty in changing gears without any other symptoms. I had called skoda salem at about 2 pm informing this, i was told by them to come in the same gear as i was about 50kms away from them. Though i had tough time i tried driving towards salem slowly but my vehicle did not move after 15 kms, 35 kms away from salem. Salem skoda informed me i had to come before 4pm else they cannot work on this on the same day and next two days are holiday due to diwali. I requested them to come to the spot but i was given a number for towing service to get my car there. It took me 930pm to get my car to the salem skoda service station. I had given the car with the available people and took a taxi to my hometown which was about 160kms. After three days and following up with skoda service people several times i got to know that its clutch problem again. I was surprised to hear this considering i had changed clutch plate set just before 5 months which was told to be changed after 5000 kms when i had given for service earlier. Now i am told i had to pay 45 k for this. If i had to pay to change the same parts costing 40k every 6kms... What is the point me trusting the quality of this vehicle and spare parts offered at this place. Service and quality of the spare parts are biggest concern for me. I need an answer from skoda auto team on this. Please note that am not a new driver but i have experience of driving for more than 17 years both in india and abroad.

          Very very disappointed with skoda auto and their service i do not think i will recommend anyone else (I had always recommended my friends and colleagues to go for skoda) to buy skoda cars ever if this issue is not taken up seriously by skoda auto.

          Is this the right place to submit the complaint...not sure how long will it take to resolve this issue...its over 4 months...no response yet from anyone...
          This has been almost two years and no updates or even a single reply...

            Am with you in longer, i have skoda rapid vide registrar no. Gj-01-rn-7088, few days before my car with you for service purpose, after done the job for service, i will collect the my car from your service station and suddenly after 3 hr my car not start due to your bad service and nobody take the responsible for the same, so am very appointed for the same,

            So, now i thought that i neither purchase the any skoda product nor i suggest anyone for the same.

            I got my company car wb02ac2087 after repairs and service from global motocorp kolkata on 15/10/2018 and to my surpise i found the wheel wrench missing when i was required to open the tyre. Please help as it seems thewheel wrench was misplaced at the workshop. Thanks.

              I am filing this complaint against skoda india and tafe access ltd 576/b, hsr layout, 6th sector, teachers colony service road, banglore - 560068.
              I purchased skoda rapid last year and today (Nov 5th-2018) is the date where the car was suppose to get serviced, however when i came for service, pms was not updated it seems even after multiple followups and this is is really a disappointing situation. Spoke to the service manager and they are trying to update the pms now and they even asked me for the proof of payment which i did for pms.
              I'm really disappointed and frustrated with the service.

                I purchase my skoda rapid from jai auto vehicles - gurgaon/new delhi showroom on dated 1/10/2017 but vehicle registration still not done.

                Also vehicle service not done from last1 yr, in this case if any problems done through this vehicle who is taking responsibility because in surat city local dealer torque automobiles not do free service of my vehicle.

                Also my excess amount of refund against my billing is not received to me till date. This amount is approx 5 lac. Dealer - jai auto vehicles pvt ltd not getting proper reply against my refund amount.

                  I am filing this complaint against Skoda India and Tafe access Ltd Bangalore.. As I write to you guys about my compaint against skoda, I am deeply saddened and disappointed and feeling deceived. I purchased a Skoda Rapid last year 25-Oct-2017 fromTaffe access St Marks road Bangalore. The sales team made false promise of four year free service without any terms, Now when I visited workshop, they say nothing is updated in their system about this and that I had to nake an additional payment, which was never conveyed to me when I bought the car. Why would I not pay just 10000 more when I can pay 12 lakhs for the car?? Now they are asking me proofs about it.. When I digged more into it, I was shocked to know many customers have same compalint as that of mine. This is clearly a case of cheating / Fraud from the makers of Audi/Skoda. You have no idea how bad name is it getting because of this. I have no hopes that you will be able to solve my issue, but still I wanted you to be aware of whats happening in there.

                  I raised several complaints to customer care, spoke to shashikanth, Rasool from CRM, nothing helped.

                  I will surely file a complaint in Consumer court.

                    I have been following up the progress on my skoda rapid car with above mentioned registration no. Since three weeks.
                    All my efforts have become futile and hence i am forced write this mail.
                    Also, i tried calling you on the mobile no: as provided by your service agency at patna.

                    My car is at the service station of skoda at patna since sept 23 sept 2018.
                    This car is having the status of official car maintained employee ""
                    1) hence since last one month i am not getting my perks for the car.
                    2) also i am finding it very difficult to manage my day-to-day affairs without a car.
                    It is my request to expedite the car repair on priority
                    Else, provide a spare car today itself as i cannot wait any longer without a car.

                    I never expected such a poor response and much delay from a reputed organisation like skoda,

                      I have received my skoda kodiaq from grand auto capital, pitampura dealer. I have paid the full amount to them including 4.6l for registration. I have tried to contact a lot of people in the dealership but i have not recieved any response. I consider this as a fraud. The dealership is shutting down and i am left high and dry. I would like skoda to interfere and get my money back.

                        I own a skoda rapid since december 2015. A couple of weeks back i was traveling from mumbai to nasik and somewhere near shahpur suddenly the vehicle lost control and i was thrown to the left of the road. To my luck there were no vehicles passing besides my way that me and my wife survived a major accident. Somehow i controlled the vehicle and got down to check. To my shock the rear left tyre was totally devastated and only the rim was in place. I am attaching the pictures of the same.
                        I reported to our local tyre depot at adgaon, nasik. I spoke to the concerned technical person mr sanjay pawar who has plainly refused my claim saying vehicle has run in flat tyre. If this would have been the case then the rim of the tyre would also have been damaged. The rim of the tyre is in good condition without a single stratch on it.
                        As the tyre being the original equipment of the vehicle kindly look into the matter at the earliest.

                          I am facing Repeated failure of the electro-hydraulic steering pump of my Skoda Fabia.

                          In 2015 first time its failed & already I got replaced electro-hydraulic steering pump from Skoda service centre Hubli (Repair invoice attached)

                          And again facing the same issue and same part failure noticed when I got the car checked at JMD service centre Bhandup & Skoda Service centre Kurla of Mumbai.

                          As per my check Either this repeated issue is due to Poor Quality of the Part supplied Or Poor Workmanship during the part replacement.

                          Nobody trying to find out RCA for the failure of the SAME part repeatedly, and again asked to replace which cost INR 50, 000/-

                          So Please take up with concern and need root cause for same part failure in this short period & also help me if any adjustment / modification can be done to avoid such repeated repair cost.

                          Please revert what best can be done.

                            My car is giving a massive problem from day 1 when i bought it (1-sep-2017) it has some suspension related problems, hardness like im driving a tractor, steering makings noises vibration on paddles and steering after changing the steering rack, shockup mount and mount bearing too the problem is still there i hope i get the solution its been a year i’m suffering i can handle it anymore, i want the action asap or i would go to consumer forum no option i’m left with. (Photos i’ve posted putting pipes like unprofessionals on shockup rings, engine warning lights while car is running and as i go to workshop they scan the car and say there’s no restoration in ecm backup? Maybe they deleted the thing and after a month cars battery fail shame on you skoda never expected this from a german brand wish would have bought tata.

                              I too had the same problem. My Rapid car (2012) had only 55000 Kms and regularly serviced by Gurudev Motors, Madurai (Now they have closed it). I never had any problem either in starting or running. Till now gives an average of 19.8 km on high ways. Last week (April 2018), on the high way the engine slowed down and stopped. The coil symbol started showing in the meter. I restarted the engine and it started jolting heavily. So I called the mechanic and they scanned the engine and informed me two of the cylinders are not firing. They towed the car to the garage and further screening showed that the third diesel injector also partly not working/ not functioning properly. As I had an important travel planI spent Rs 75000/- to replace the diesel injectors. The mechanics told me that they have attended several SKODA Rapid & VW Vento diesel cars with the same problem. I thing it is designing problem with SKODA Rapid Diesel engines. It classic case for recall of the Models. Advice SKODA people to recall the models and replace the engines. I also understand that the SKODA has silently replaced the entire diesel injectors after 2014. Will the SKODA respond.

                              I visit service centre whelocity motors jammu ..with my skoda laura ..for normal checkup..but they told me 650 but charge 750 for normal check ..and for car scanning 1500 ..and they didn't give me correct information and they didn't hav a small spare parts...at least of skoda logo's...am not satisfied with its service ...toooooooooooo bad

                                Hi, my skoda rapid eligance 1.6 tdi, bought in jan 2013, recently had an issue of a blinking "emission and coil" indicator, in between a drive. When it was taken to the service station sga cars in coimbatore, they diagnosed and the issue seems to be with fuel injectors. The service station has informed us that the cost of 1 such fuel injector as rs.23000/- and since it is outside our warranty, we may have to bear the cost. After i checked online, i found that there were many vehicles with the same problem, which definitely raises a question on the reliability of skoda rapid cars. Worst is they dont say what is the root cause and how to prevent the same failure of other injectors and if in case it happens the cost of the replacing all injectors will go above rs100, 000 which will make me think twice before purchasing any skoda or vw vehicle in future.in my opinion this is a wrong design of injector for our country, which they are making us pay. Its a perfect case for a recall, but they are avoiding it. I had already paid and replaced an injecter for 23500 rs on 15th june 2018 with my vehicle which had ran only 55000 kms. But the worst part is within the next 500 kms after the injector replacement, another injector has been failed. My vehicle was kept in the service centre for eight days, but skoda did not support me and sga cars is forcing me to spend 25000 on another injector and they are not guaranteeing that this issue will not be happening once again. I insist skoda, india to kindly look into this and take intense action towards this issue.

                                Just thought of owning a skoda rapid 1.5 TDI Ambition 2018 Model. But after seeing such pathetic after sales service I have changed my mind.

                                Also there should be an written confirmation from customer to his/her satisfaction level to close this complaint, but skoda India had just given a basic reply to

                                customer complaint and closed the complaint in this consumer portal.

                                No peace of mind I guess after purchasing Skoda!

                                  Newly bought rapid, just did 3600kms in 3 months stalled 3rd time in running. Luckily saved, dealer already knows, had given in dealership also, but again the same problem, vehicle stalls all of sudden in running get in neutral, brakes get hard, steering gets hard, managed to control the vehicle.
                                  Who would be responsible for life damage or inconvenience caused to my family and myself. I was happy with my first skoda so bought skoda again, but this time really dissatisfied, it's been more than a week i had registered my complaint on phone.

                                  Still the dealership is not in condition to take a call as owner is outstation. why should I suffer for his absence. Is not our time valuable, it's been more than a week and third time. I am clueless with no vehicle.

                                    I owe two skoda rapids due to its long lasting life and durability but here skoda rapid 2017 model makes me unsatisfied.
                                    I have an extended warranty till 4 years while the service advisior states that your battery is out of warranty as it has coverage upto 1 year.
                                    Are they here to make reputed customers fool by doing so they can earn? My car at around 26k kilometers reported according to my knowledge i researced in service manual and found that its a battery issue. That time the workshop advisor said that these all battery will go in a year only and that's what happened.
                                    I am enough capable to buy a new one if i can owe skoda but the issue is the company's image is decreasing continuously and that's not a good sign. Was a skoda fan but now i had enough issue to ignore skoda.
