I bought skoda rapid (Chasis number - tmbbufna7fg016410) in feb 2016 from nawab motors - noida. I bought it just a year back and it suddenly wasn't starting in the morning. I sent my car to the service centre (Nawab motors - noida) two days back. They told me the battery is not working and needs to be replaced. Firstly i was told they don't have battery in stock and have to wait for 4 days to be replaced and suddenly after a day i was told that "battery is not covered in the warranty". I want to know is it true that skoda doesn't cover battery in the warranty?

Also isn't it too early for a skoda battery to stop working. Given the fact that it has been roughly a year and a half.

I would also like to add up that there is a noise issue with steering wheel which has been reported to service center (Nawab motors - noida). I faced this issue just after first car service which happened just two months back. It is as clear case of negligence during the service of not greasing shocker bearing to stop noise.

Moreover i was informed that you i can buy extended warranty in a time span of two years however presently i am told that i should have bought it in the first year of purchase itself which is not ethical at all as the information given was wrong. I am really pissed off with the whole episode of wrong information and delayed service.

Complete Fraud by a Skoda to sell more battery they are installing defected batteries with 1 year warranty which fails after 1 year then they are selling new battery with 2 years of warranty...

Hi Rajeev,

Please let me know what solution you have received. I am facing the same problem and bought top model Skoda Rapid Style Plus AT in March 2016. I also got to know that battery has worn out in just 18 months. Skoda is asking to pay for it as battery is not covered under warranty.

I am feeling same as you coz' I also went for Skoda even after people told me not to go for the same. Its almost 15 days but no one turned up!!

I am having the same problem, I brought my car on Dec-14 and had this prob in Nov-16. They replaced the battery in the service center. Today again the battery drained and there was no indication or symptoms to this. It just suddenly stopped working. How long should i keep doing this ? Totally frustrated. Please do not buy this car. The service center people dont care at all.

    I had already issues regarding the sales person knowledge abt the car on 2nd day and complaint to the sales head mr pramod nimbhorkar but his response was that is perfectly normal. So i decieded to cancell my booking and they asked a cancellation of amt 1lac i was shocked so hd to go ahead and buy the car as a loved the car skoda but to my nightmare they did it again sales person mr deepak had no clue of the features of rain sensining wiper and audio system and worst was my deliver vehicle had a scrated headlamps both n i scrated tailamp and pen ink on my doors arm rest... I m really unhappy plz resolve this issue asap or elese plz return my money bcaus i really dont feel i like buying a vehicle in this condition after paying a handsome 25lacs

      Dear sir,
      I have booked new skoda on the advice of mr ahmed hussain of mahaveer skoda (Somajiguda) well before launch i. E 29th may by paying 25, 000/- advance. Later i was informed that the name of new variants changed and opted for style for which i received quotation on 13th may in which the the insurance policy premium quoted was too high rs 87, 884/-.
      I have taken quotation for the insurance from my banker i. E hdfc bank for rs 52.100/- and informed the same to them by mail.
      At this juncture they delaying my delivery of my vehicle by insisting us to take the insurance policy from them for above said higher price.
      Being there is an auspicious event at my home i was expecting the delivery second of this month itself. I even postponed the purchase of car for one month as i was convinced about the new skoda facelift by sales people.
      Please let me know you sale policy regarding the insurance. Is it made compulsory to buy insurance only from your dealer? If so, why is difference in price of the policy. Please advice to go for further action.

        I have took an appointment 3 days prior in the skoda servicing centre at verna goa india i hav got an appointment on 27th of july 2017 at 9.30am i have reached at serviceing as per the schedule and till 12.30 pm i was waiting there to start my car serviceing but it was not started till 12.30pm. I have very bed experience at skoda service centre at verna goa. They are not planned as per the standard. They spoiling the name of the brand.

          I have booked your car 2-3 days back with 1, 00, 000 rs amount and its successfully debited. Because of some personal reasons i want to cancel it, mr. Ajit and mr. Kulkarni said we will deduct 5000 rs cancellation charges from the booking amount which is okay for me. But he is saying that you will get the amount in 10 days??? Seriously? I have a firend of mine who is in chakan plant volkswagen he said vw gives refund 100% in 2-3 days max, so please look into this and revert me back, or else i have contact with gm of skodaa

          Never expected this from the germans, because we currently have two german cars at our door

            Hi! Sir/ma'm today i visited skoda service centre i. E 24th july (Monday) to check some function in my superb car and the representative mr. Himanshu was acting and talking so rudely i didn't understood that for what reason he was talking this way even though we own a superb car he was like you have to book and appointment and all stuff first of all that wasn't a major issue we just wanted to know how the headlights function works that's all and this so called guy mr. Himanshu was so rude i never expected this type of experience from skoda very disappointed 😔 i hope you will take action about this matter thankyou.

              Good afternoon sir...

              My car is skoda superb 2009 model & the registration number is tn 02 aj 4044.

              Actually, i sent the car for servicing in skoda ambattur service centre, chennai for the problem in the gear shifting by 12th of may 2017. The car was in the running condition only. After checking the car, they told that there is a mechatronics problem exists in the car, so you have to replace that. They arranged the warranty for the gear mechatronics.

              After that also the problem exists, so they recommended to replace the multi clutch & fly wheel. Even after this also the problem doesn't resolve. They recommended the total change of gearbox.

              As am the 3rd owner to the vehicle tn 02 aj 4044, still i didn't even finished with the payment of the vehicle. Its still under the emi. Even the amount for the servicing and the replacement of some parts in the vehicle comes around rs. 1, 44, 000. This also i cant afford. So, i can't go for the replacement of gear box which costs around rs. 2, 80, 000. Its very difficult for me to go for this. I've bought this car in second hand by rs. 7 lakh. The car reached only 80, 000 kms still now. So please arrange warranty for the gear box or at least approve the gearbox mechatronics warranty to ease our problem. Seriously am not in the situation to spend this much money right now. This is the 1st car i bought but i didn't expect that this will lead to this much problems and replacements. Please do something regarding the warranty and make it affordable for me. Accept my kind request and try to do something in favour of me.

              I spoke with the service manager in Skoda Ambattur Service center, chennai. They gave Your mail id to mail my concerns about my car.

              Sir, Actually Am from the Middle Class family. I bought this car as it is low in cost in case of luxury version. I didn't expect this much problems will exist in this car. I bought this car by January 2017 and the problem came by 1st week of May 2017. still now the car is in the service center only. As of now, Am not in the condition to spend lakhs in this car. Now Am in the state of not taking the car out from the service centre and I cant able to sell this car as it is not good in condition. Am in very big problem & also I get so much of tension & stress regarding this car.

              So, Please Sir... i[censored] can arrange the warranty for Both the Gear mechatronics & Gearbox. I'll be so Thankful to u & I'll also enjoy my 1st car in my life with full of Joy & happiness. Please consider my kind request & arrange the warranty for the gear box & gear mechatronics sir... Am becoming mad regarding my car, as I bought this to enjoy the luxury, as it is my 1st car. Now Am psychologically so depressed, even I cant concentrate on my job & also my family. Please do something regarding the warranty sir...

                19th june 2017 till date
                Heating up the engine and sensor showing exhaust inspecting and glow plug system, my car starts vibrating badly when it shows these two sensor on the way to lucknow tried calling customer care several times for roadside assistance but after hearing the voice they disconnect the call. It was really humiliating for me for suffering for mental trauma from your part. It is really bad for skoda.

                  My car's engine temperature was hot so i gave it to the company and they took ₹75, 000 after few days again the same problem occurred i send my car to the company once again and they checked the engine head and took ₹1, 35, 000 but still the same problem is occurring. I am fed up with the service. They did every possible thing but nothing worked. It's simply a waste of my time and money. Please solve my problem as soon as possible.

                    Their technical team is a failure

                    I have have been trying to contact jia auto since last one hour and every time some one picking the call is disconnecting after listening my voice. However after several call i received a call from them. My skoda yeti is facing problem as some banging noise is coming from the bonnet. When i asked the person to give booking i heard a lady's voice from background not to take any booking. Then the gentleman said since they do not have the spare parts so they cannot take booking. I fell from the sky and asked him that i am not asking for any parts change. I only need to check up the reason for the noise from my yeti. I have 2 skoda fabias and one yeti but i swear to god i will never buy skoda again. It's not the skoda that is bad but the dealer jia auto who will prefer replacement for the slightest reason and has already earned the notorious tag in kolkata. Hunger for money only is biting our pockets and they have so much hunger to save money is that they have hired the poorest skilled staffs. If skoda is not going to do anything to replace this dealer jia auto then i or any other skoda owner can forecast the skoda future in kolkata. Thanks

                    This is same for me. I called Jia auto service centre for breakdown repair and they said call us after 25 days. What is this going on. I think are they closing the service centre. Something is cooking which we are not able to know.

                      I have given car only to start problem is with fuel injectors as per my knowledge but after period of 22 days also service center failed to give estimate or information about car. Even after visit at least more than 45 minutes they put to hold you. Thereafter whoever interact with you has no knowledge about car or incharge on leave. They have no papers of car they refuse to show you. Regular answer online recorded. If you ask them to show on computer no answer. Ask about 22 days study about car no answer. Then started with saying there are so many dismantle parts, which is not ask for. Only my eagerness to star my rapid car. Even no answer to technical head. Sorry state of affairs no worry about time of public and their worries.

                        My car had accident and it get service at jai auto skoda - mathura road delhi ncr. I got my car 14 june because it's my wedding in next week. And yes they have delivered car at my home on time but when we have approach to top management. But after the they have broken my steering mounted control system which was informed to workshop manager (15-june) when i checked the car. And the same has been informed while giving the feedback (29-juñe) when i got the call from mumbai but they also didn't took any action to resolve this issue. And i didn't get any update neither today so finally i'm putting my concern here. I hope now they have to look into else i have other option to approach them.

                          Skoda jaipur cheated me they are not giving me the tcs certificate till date after many times reminder even i have logged the complain customer care but nobody care.. Mr. Sanajy maheshwari the owner of jaipur showroom giving me false commitment everytime... Very bad expirence...                             I purchased a new skoda rapid style car on 1st july 2017 at vadodara from m/s torque automotive pvt ltd., vadodara (Gujarat) and since 1st of july 2017 to 10th july 2017, not any car's original papers / money receipts / road tax challan / r. C. Book / insurance / invoice / etc. And a cheque of rs.15000/- of corporate discount received by me on todau 10th of july 2017. When i ask their v. P mr. Saqqaf and their sales representative mr.                               Good Day,
                              At time of purchase of my car Skoda Rapid bearing Registration number TNO2AX9267, I upgraded my Audio system by paying extra charges at Skoda Authorised Showroom Gurudev Motors Chennai's it the charges collected for changing is reflecting in Gurudev motors accounts system Yesterday I had a battery issue with my car, and when I took it to the service station Gurudev motors Ambattur service in charge advised me to change the battery. My car battery is under warranty period. When I requested them to change my battery under warrenty they declined my request quoting my car is having outside purchased audio system. I tried to explain them that the audio system is fitted at their showroom, but they are not ready to listen. To have a solution I seeked Skoda India support, but till now I have not found solution. Requesting for your kind intervention to find a positive solution.

                              Already Mr. Gerald of Gurudev Motors Chennai and Mr. Sujai Sugathan of Skoda India, is aware of this incident. But till now they could not find a solution for my issue.I had left my car at your authorised service centre Gurudev Motors Ambattur on 10th July 2017, still no reply from your end. For no fault of my making me to wait creating mental agony which is unacceptable. Requesting you to kindly do the needful at the earliest.

                                I have purchase Skoda rapid on 1/7/16 from Skoda grand motors bilaspur, chhattisgarh.while delivery of vehicle they gave me cover note of insurance in which policy date 1/7/16 mentioned. But when I got the original copy of policy after some day it contains 11/8/16 policy date..Now my point of complain is. I had run my vehicle almost 40 days without insurance., in that period my vehicle would have been got accident or some other unfortunate things, in that case who would be responsible for that.now I m complaining the same thing to consumor Forum too

                                  I owe a skoda due to its long lasting life and durability but here skoda makes me unsatisfied.
                                  I have an extended warranty till 4 years while the service advisior states that your battery is out of warranty as it has coverage upto 1 year.
                                  Are they here to make reputed customers fool by doing so they can earn? My car at around 7-8k kilometers reported power steering failed symbol and according to my knowledge i researced in service manual and found that its a battery issue unconnect the battery connector and reconnect and your problem can be solved and if not then you need a battery replacement. That time the workshop advisor said that these all battery will go in a year only and that's what happened.
                                  I am enough capable to buy a new one if i can owe skoda but the issue is the company's image is decreasing continuously and that's not a good sign. Was a skoda fan but now i had enough issue to ignore skoda.

                                  I have exactly the same problem - the battery needs to be replaced. I have 4 years warranty and they are saying battery has only 1 year warranty. If that is the case, why are they not revealing this information upfront at the time of purchase? With the 4 years warranty package, I was told that for 4 years or upto 60, 000 KMS, you won't have a single penny to pay behind maintenance. This is absolutely not the case.

                                  I have put kept my car today for battery replacement for which they are charging 8500. The same battery is available for as low as 5500 with Exide dealer and they are discounting the rate by also paying for old battery. When I said, I will replace from outside, they said your electronic / electrical equipments warranty will be void. Hence, they are just cheating and looting money by 1) not sharing proper information at the time of purchase and later on, charging more than the market price on the spares that aren't even manufactured by them.

                                  In addition, the external Exide vendor is providing 3 years guarantee and 1 year extended warranty. Whereas, Skoda is providing just 2 years warranty.

                                  I would request you to look into this matter and have such malpractices stopped by Skoda. Since my car got in immovable condition, I had to have battery changed today. I don't have any option than to pay 8500 to dealer.

                                    I damaged my clutch plate recently, checked it at bangalore, coimbatore and madurai service center and it is unavailable, my fabia 1.2 mpi is lying at salem skoda service center, the dealer is not able to provide any information as to how long it will take to replace the clutch plate assembly, i am ready to pay him in advance, most of these centers do not keep any spares.

                                      We r easol private limited, purchase skoda octavia on apr-17 for company use. But after purchased car, right side mirror has make noise at the time of open & close. After visiting viraaj skoda, banner service center the executive said all vehicle mirror make noise. But we explained our vehicle make maximum noise when we operating. But he not understand & resolve our problem.

                                      Hence we request to you, pls. Look in to matter on priority basis.
