Dealer: tafe access

During sale i was given 5x5 yrs package, which covered 5 yrs warranty.

I have an overheating problem, this has been detected and confirmed. Skoda is not honoring the warranty claim and i have not been able to get by car for the past 27 days

Tafe access is the dealer and is very is also least bothered in resolving this problem. They have not given me the right information and have zero proactivness in helping me out

Need support in getting my car back under warranty.

I have experienced similar kind of issue with my brand new Rapid and had a defective part on the car. Dealer initially told that part is covered under warranty and later they turned back on me. When I raised it with Skoda, even they turned down the warranty. This 4 year warranty and all is just a marketing tactics Skoda is following in India. Never ever trust Skoda India at all. The brand is good in Europe but in India it literally failed.

When I experienced similar issue from dealer on my Ford car, I raised it with Ford India. They immediately asked me to send the car to service center and with in minutes they replaced the part.

That is the difference between Skoda and other brands. I made a big mistake by opting for Skoda. I am planning to sell off the car as quickly as possible and go for a customer friendly brand. I felt that it is better to own a auto instead of Skoda auto. Skoda claims that their cars are stronger and safer than others during accidents, but the customers will die with the headaches and frustration they create. I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND A SKODA CAR TO ANYONE.
Also, file a case in consumer forum on Skoda India.. I am preparing to file it with my legal team.

    1.) i have purchased skoda rapir amt desal at the time of sale sales person committed 20 km per ltr average.
    Bt it just getting 12 to 15.
    2.) i just goan for 5000 km service at that time just 1 work done other all as it's they give me car in as it is conditions. No car wash done all in bad possition.
    I have that time vedio also as a proff
    3) after that i complent for average issue the give an appointment for friday but on that day in morning some non sense leady call me an cancel my appointment. She told me that after 2 days they give a call n confirm may appointment. But they 2 days still not over so they din give me call from last 40 days.
    3) know my 1st service is due i call them for appointment still that non sense leady ask me to come on 29 may 2017.
    I suggest skoda to close the nashik service centre bcoz if they take time more than maruti suzuki.
    4) i am totally disappointed with this all mistake from skoda i don't accepted it from skoda group.
    5.) if it is possible then ok or i am planning to go at customer court.

      Sir.. Had placed an order on 3rd may with sagar auto tech mysore for right tail lamp of my skoda rapid as it had cracked due to a minor impact. Was told to wait for 10 days! Yet even after 15 days it's not available.
      This negligent attitude is very bad.
      Negative publicity for skoda india.
      Can you all help me please.
      Need to get car ready within summer vacation of my children as schools begin in 5 days.

        I have skoda rapid 2015 made, hardly 13600 km run till now i have through two services at Giriraj Motors gurgaon and got new defects as gift every time. Yesterday only i opted for 2nd service, everything was fine till the time it went for service, but suddenly started facing new issues, yes today my car not starting at all, not sure what went wrong but its horribly poor and frustrating.

        is anybody really care about this from skoda inda you are really loosing customers will not buy any skoda car in future.

          I want to share one bitter experience with you. Last week we were on family vacations and travelling through MP to UP by road with our car skoda rapid cs 4324. Roads were fine in MP but when we reached UP, road conditions were very bad. Some how we were trying to manage the situation and going very slow. All of sudden one stone hit our vehicle from bottom and oil tank at bottom broke down. Car stopped there only and we asked to RSA help. RSA helped us and arranged for car toeing from spot to nearest dealer at Varanasi Ganpati Skoda. Now real sufferings started here.

          1. We were provided only one vehicle for car towing and no taxi was provided for my self and family. It was 150 KM journey with full of dust, no roads and big holes on road.Though vide RSA agreement we were supposed to be given Taxi uptill nearest destination ans also for further journey.
          2. Skoda dealer / RSA did not bother to ask us whether we need any taxi to reach the nearest place.
          3. We started at 9 PM and reached Varanasi at 3 AM, and whereas we requested to RSA at 4 in the afternoon.
          4. Next day dealer called us and asked to visit the workshop for car repair. We visited the place and spent whole day but no solution provided by dealer, initially they harassed us by saying there is problem in engine, etc, later after seeking for help they just said your car will take 15-20 days time for repair as parts are not available in stock.
          5. Dealer did not bother to place the order with company.
          6. I was surprised to see that there was no tracking at \from Skoda to know whether customer car is repaired or not. The dealer did not gave any satisfactory answer, hence we deiced to take our vehicle to our hometown, Indore.
          7. As the dealer did not provide any solution, we requested RSA to send our vehicle to Indore dealer, but they refused for it and said that they will charge for it. Their charges were 4 times more than the market rates, so we managed to bring the vehicle by our own arrangements.
          8. We had a very hard time and bitter experience from the various services of skoda. We had undergone great sufferings and with bad health our family members reached home.We are still undergoing doctors treatment.
          Had we purchased some other company's vehicle, our problem would have solved at the place of mishappening by the nearest dealer, and we could have continued our journey ahead.
          Skoda services are hopeless.We have in total incurred a cost of Rs 65, 400 out of our pocket due to RSA not giving services and dealer refused to help. Furthur there is no cost for mental harassment and the pains we have suffered during the whole exercise.

            Hi Team

            Had this strange issue that whatever skoda-fabia part I need to purchase today to keep my Car in good shape is approx 4 times higher in pricing when compared to same parts and car model which were launched after 2008 i.e. which were either assembled at there Aurangabad facility.
            Company is saying that this is happening because for fabia-1.2 (India assembled) they have a local vendor network but for fabia-1.4 they don't have same and hence they have to import its each part and hence a huge discrepancy in prices.
            So much that for instance
            a. My car's left front passenger window motor costs 18, 000 rupees.
            b. My car's front A.C. fan costs 18, 000 rupees.
            c. In very recent observation the front axle pair of My car is costing a whooping 52000/- rupees when surprisingly same part of Fabia-1.2 is costing only 12, 000/-

            This clearly reflects companies insensitivity towards the customers who were the first one to embrace their product when it launched in India and now they are paying for their decision of purchasing a skoda.
            It also glaringly underlines companies inefficient planning when they build up a network for lesser pricer model but didn't thought about existing customers who bought the very initial launched imported variants.

            Even as of today also company only have Rapid with local part manufacturer while all its other variants are must be getting imported parts and hence its my sincere advice to all forum user that they should think twice while going for Skoda just preferring the Book's cover no doubt they have solid, robust car with good handling and driving experience but these problems in there service department may really hurt badly.

            My appeal to anybody from skoda who is taking a note of this forum is that kindly provide a customer right safeguard plan to those customers who feel cheated when they see same part of their car priced at 1/4th of what they are paying.
            Either company should have kept all on same platform by ensuring same quality or if they had subsequent variants local network developed then why didn't same was applied to existing older customers, don't they too deserve right to get the advantage company providing to upcoming customers.
            Isn't company policy skewed and flawed here

            Kindly help me get escalation matrix of concerned people in India. I have tried escalation on various fronts but no body seem to be bother enough to give a call and try understand my complete problem and provide befitting resolution

            This is out rightly ridiculous to expect customer spending 40, 000 INR/- more than what what other fabia owners are paying despite having same car and just making a fool of himself. Also with my car being already 9 years old this is not only increasing my car's cost of ownership.
            Also If i want to sell it first I have to get this car fixed and if I have to fix it with what amount company is asking there is no way I can get any thing added in my car resale.

            If Skoda even care an iota of customers I am also ready to sell this car to company for feasible market price and buy a new Rapid but there has to be someone to listen FIRST.

            No Body yet gave a call from skoda to understand the matter let aside resolving it.
            Haven't have seen any car company treating it's customer the way skoda India
            Guess they are indifferent of how customer should be treated once they have sell their vehicle. No issues I have been till date able to deter approx 5-10 persons who intended to go for skoda rapid based on the experience I have had.
            And similarly I intend to keep on the Job.
            As a skoda customer the very first feedback someone seeks is"how is the car" and I have nothing else to say but share this bitter experience.

                I hace skoda octavia since last three years. From the very first service i have been complaining about bad smell coming in car due to air circulation doesn't work and i can smell the smog from other vehicles on the road inside my car all the time weather the circulation is on or off and air condition not. Giving proper output. Even after three year still the issue remains the same and has become the worst.ac has become worst and sometimes even the fan doesn't work. Now the excuse given by the service station is, it is not in warranty and company has found the problem in one of the motor and they have change the system, so you have to pay around 45000 for the new system as it is not in warranty. But my issues about the ac is from the very first service, and it is still unresolved.
                I kindly request the company to look in to the manner and please do the needful to resolve the problem of air conditioner as well as the air circulation system.

                  Clutch Hard - Repeated Issue

                  I am having skoda rapid (2012model).. Had clutch hardness issue last year.. As per the gurudev ambattur - chennai branch, replaced the clutch assembly (Release bearing, pressure plate, clutch disc) at 67, 666kms.. But it was not like the new clutch even after replacing.. Sa advised that it will be like that and will be smooth after some km's.. But i had again very hard (Compared to earlier) clutch after 10km's, went...

                  My car ac was not workingg then i visited near skoda service centre in ambala.. They changed compressor and filled gas.. Then after 15 days same problem.. Again visited then they clean the pipes and filled gas again n take 3 days time.. I payed gas charges again..
                  Then after 3 days same problem.. They send my car to karnal workshop.. Nd replaced cooling coil n ac fan with motor
                  Again 3 days time..

                    I booked a skoda octavia (Style plus variant, 1.8 l tsi petrol automatic, magic black color) through marikar engineers pvt. Ltd, trivandrum on 24 th april 2017 by paying an advance amount of rs two lakhs as cheque (Chq no: 242993).

                    The promised date of delivery was latest by 29 th april 2017. However on the proposed day, i received a call from the skoda dealer stating that they are unable to deliver the car as they have run out of stock and that my order stays cancelled. The explanation given to me was that the car that i booked, got booked by another customer just half an hour before my deal was done. However this explanation cannot be accepted as they should have informed about this earlier. The deal was confirmed and accordingly i got my loans sanctioned for an amount of rs 25 lacs.

                    This kind of an irresponsible attitude from skoda dealers has led to monetary losses for me.
                    The loan processing charges amount to rs 12, 000
                    The interest for the loan amount credited to my account amounts to nearly rs 38, 000
                    Interest for the advance booking amount of rs 2 lacs is rs 2000

                    This has caused great inconveniences to me. Also i would like to point out that skoda india and the dealer has failed to fulfill their commitment to their valuable customers. This sure has created a negative impact on the reputation of skoda india.
                    Please kindly do the needful and i demand a compensation for my losses and grievances.

                      Your dealer guru Dev motor in chennai ambattur is charging 2% service charge on use of credot card for service done which is against rbi guide lines . Request you to look into this and gene me a feed back.
                      I have brought new Skoda Octavia last year (Automatic), within one year I have faced 2 times problem with Fuel Injection. I don't see any response from the customer care. I would like to fight on this legally within the court on this.

                        1) I brought a new skoda rapid at a discount as it was 2016 model. I was given a quote of 12.94 lacs after reducing on the on road price
                        2) When i went to collect the original documents, i came to know that the invoice amount has been quoted less in RTA site and also the insurance IDV is reduced based on that
                        3) After repeated questioning, firstly they tried to bluff and when i persisted then they are asking me to pay the differential amount to RTO
                        4) Also already the IDV value is reduced by more than 10% for the insurance they are giving and that too for a new vehicle
                        5) Nothing was mentioned when the sale was done and it’s like fooling and taking the customer for a ride. AM very much disappointed. I have never seen such cheating anywhere else.
                        6) Please cancel my order and pay back my money as this is pure cheating the customer. At the time of sales, quoting a price and later on informing the customer about this and that too when customer questions.
                        7) when you have shown the discount on on road price then in which part of the world customer is again asked to pay RTA tax and also pay for increasing the IDV to 95% of ex showroom price.

                        Horrible sales strategy. Very disappointed. Their parent group VW has been so professional what i saw when i first thought to buy Vento. I really regret of buying skoda rapid and feel i should have gone for vento. VW is also giving discount but paying the complete RTO tax and even not decreasing IDV value for insurance UNLIKE SKODA.

                        Surprising part is after my complain few people spoke to me but no one is even bothered to do anything to reinstate customer faith and trust. They accept that they would have informed and finally make us pay additional amount.

                        NEVER EVER BUY SKODA CARS or ELSE LOSE YOUR MENTAL PEACE.

                          I purchased my car in jan'16 from jmd skoda, and today (25/04/17) there is an issue with my battery and the dealership is saying it is not covered under warranty and i would have to pay for the replacement of the battery. Usually the battery is covere under a minimum of 2 years warranty. Jmd skoda is saying all cars purchased in 2016 will only have 1 year warrenty on battery but they are not ready to give that in writing and they would keep me bouncing between customer service and workshop crm.                             I purchased a Skoda Rapid Ultima I.16 MPI from Tafe access pvt limited, in Bangalore in April 2014. I was warned not to purchase a Skoda considering the worst after sales service quality in India. I ignored the warnings of my friends and well-wishers and went ahead with the purchase, because of the legacy of the brand. I wish to bring to your notice the inconvenience faced thus far. In the month of March 2016, I had complained that my AC controller (air flow circulation), was not working to Tafe access India Pvt Limited. The car was returned back without the complaint being attend to. Note that my car is in warranty until April 2019.

                            On April 8th, 2017 – I personally visited the Skoda service center for the regular service, and informed them of this problem which was persisting for one year. The service advisor stated that the issue will be fixed by end of day. In the meantime, the front brake (rotor and brake pads) were required to be changed after having done only 9000 Kilometers. Nevertheless, I requested them to replace it, with the service costing me INR 17, 784/-. I do not think that even my grandfather’s ambassador had to change brake related parts after having done 9000 Kilometers. So much for the quality that Skoda promises.

                            I was told after waiting for over 9 hours that the AC controller was not in stock and the they have requested for the part. Today, I received a call from your service advisor stating that the part is not available with Skoda India. It would be great if you could respond to the questions/clarifications requested below:

                            1. Why on earth do you sell cars for which you have no spares?
                            2. Why do make the customer wait for one year to tell him that there is no spare part available?
                            3. Why did the brake pads and rotor get damaged only after having done 9000 kilometers
                            4. Was it my mistake to by Skoda from Tafe access?
                            5. When can you pick up this piece of junk from my residence, anyways we have stopped using this car?

                            I deeply hurt as I am writing this email, since I am very passionate about my car and put in all my efforts to ensure that my car is maintained in the best possible condition. I did not know that my worst nightmare would come true only after having done 9000 kilometers. I have attached the complaint logged for your reference.

                              1) I brought a new skoda rapid at a discount as it was 2016 model. I was given a quote of 12.94 lacs after reducing on the on road price
                              2) When i went to collect the original documents, i came to know that the invoice amount has been quoted less in RTA site and also the insurance IDV is reduced based on that
                              3) After repeated questioning, firstly they tried to bluff and when i persisted then they are asking me to pay the differential amount to RTO
                              4) Also already the IDV value is reduced by more than 10% for the insurance they are giving and that too for a new vehicle
                              5) Nothing was mentioned when the sale was done and it’s like fooling and taking the customer for a ride. AM very much disappointed. I have never seen such cheating anywhere else.
                              6) Please cancel my order and pay back my money as this is pure cheating the customer. At the time of sales, quoting a price and later on informing the customer about this and that too when customer questions.
                              7) when you have shown the discount on on road price then in which part of the world customer is again asked to pay RTA tax and also pay for increasing the IDV to 95% of ex showroom price.

                              Horrible sales strategy. Very disappointed.

                              Am sorry to say but no one is bothered to help. I have been following for past 2 days but no proper response. I really regret buying the car as there is no transparency and facts impacting customer are hidden just to do some sales numers. There is no way skoda can capture market with such customer service despite having good car.

                              Will some one from skoda india bother to address my concern. I get a feeling that SKoda people only respond till the time deal is done and after that they are least bothered .
                              They called me and though they accepted that it's their mistake not to inform upfront but nobody is doing anything about it. I feel this is done knowingly and making them feel cheated when the deal is done.

                                This is the complaint regarding skoda rapid mh 03cb 8210

                                1. My vehicle reached on 1st april 2017 at 14:00 hrs.
                                2. Issue is with check engine light.
                                3. Under warranty repair will be done and car will be returned back was 3rd april 2017 which on 05th april turns to be chargeable.
                                4. For servicing i send the car from ghatkoper (West) to autobann (Kurla)
                                5. Till now nobody is giving the proper feedback as they are unable to diagnose the fault.
                                6. Its been 4 working days now my car issue still not resolved by the service centre.
                                7. This is second time in row i had a bad experience with the brand name skoda and highly disappointed, earlier i had issue with new wind shield glass which was not properly installed properly.
                                8. I am now forced to escalate this non professional behaviour from your end to social media.

                                Still awaiting for solution, its more then a month and I am unable to get my issue resolved by your experts ! it's a high time and now I won't hesitate to escalate my car issue to your HOD's and to social media.

                                  It is embarrassing for me to make the 3rd complaint to you under three years for my car Octavia car number HR 26 CH 6054.

                                  Just to give you a brief of the first two complaints so far :
                                  1. Within the first 8 months, my car battery broke down, which came back with a faulty lock, it took Skoda 21 days to fix this, and the staff through this was very rude. Details in the trailing mail.
                                  2. Last July the battery broke down again, we called your Mumbai office, you sent the battery replacement with a 2 year warranty.
                                  Today morning again the battery broke down. The technician was carrying a new battery, but refused to replace it if it was to do be in warrenty and would only be done if he was paid cash. We spoke with Arun and Rawat at the service centre who confirmed that the same and said pay cash and get it done on spot.

                                  Being from the same industry (Jullundur Motor Agency Delhi Ltd), one of the largest distribution house of the Independent Aftermarket since 1927 in India, we understand your battery is of substandard quality. Given my last experience of not being given a replacement for 21 days, I don’t understand your policy of cash replacement on spot otherwise it is a long drawn procedure.

                                  Given the positioning and pricing of Skoda, your quality, polices and staff have been nothing but regret for buying the Skoda. I would want refund for the car, as every 6 months I can not be harassed.

                                  I am refraining from taking this up on social media to give you a fair chance to get back to me on priority.

                                  This email is in reference to Octavia car number HR 26 CH 6054 which is barely 6 – 8 months old.

                                  1. We were promised delivery within a month and got it after 4 months.
                                  2. This is our 3rd car from your stable.
                                  3. The staff is extremely rude and misleading. The series of events are given below :

                                  Workshop: Satnam Automobiles, Okhla.
                                  1. Complaint lodged on 10th Jan at Helpline Number, maybe the battery was faulty.
                                  2. Since car was not starting, locking or unlocking, it was not possible to pull out the chassis number.
                                  3. It took 2 days to register the complaint due to their obsession with chassis number whereas they could have easily got it from other database.
                                  4. Skoda Helpline RSS Service came and attended complaint but vehicle was not repaired. They were unable to do anything.
                                  5. Vehicle was Towed away to workshop and returned duly repaired on 14th morning. It is visible that the battery did not look new, we did raise this point and ask for a battery warranty card, however they said the bill is good enough
                                  6. It was found that auto lock had stopped working only after coming back from the workshop.
                                  7. The vehicle was taken to workshop again and returned today on 16th Jan. We were informed that the part will be replaced in 10 days, however for now they had fit some other cars part in our car.
                                  8. However, when the car started, it kept locking and unlocking on its own. Even the locking display was not working. Again Skoda Service Engineer was called and he informed that ONE PART NEEDS REPLACEMENT WHICH IS NOT AVAILABLE AND WOULD BE REPLACED BY MONDAY, THE 19TH .

                                  I would like to mention here our company Jullundur Motor Agency Delhi Ltd is the largest seller of automobile spare parts in India www.jmaindia.com having a network of 80 branches and 75000 dealers, we are yet to come across such unprofessionalism on part of Skoda India.

                                  In all fairness the car should be changed as it has not been satisfactory from day 1, I am not getting into minor details. I hope that you look into the merits of the case and do the needful.

                                    I am not happy at all about vehicle service work & people as they r not repairing part .They r asking to replace the part which is fully fuctional.I am specifically against as these people misguide. I had repeated visited Skoda workshop but always got upset with their work.Service after sell is very bad at nashik skoda .I did scanning of my vehicle 3 months before, they ask me to change mechkantroni unit of automatic gear box. But i denied that to do .As my vehicle got work done outside which not required to replace mekantronic unit.I always asked them to show scanning reports but they denied every time .They do not erase or solve problems during scanning.Still it continues. Please do needful .

                                      This mail is regarding issue in my Car Skoda Rapid purchased from Giriraj Motors, Gurgaon on June-15. Today I have no doubt to say that I have made big mistake of my life by purchasing Skoda Product. Inspite of hearing so many after sales issues about Skoda, I took a strong decision to buy only Skoda Product but today I realize my mistake.

                                      I am facing regular issue with service center, my car which is less than 2 years old having issue, service center retained the car from last three days (last week also retained for 2 days), so total five days they have retained in last 10days and still unable to tell the issue and provide solution. In last 22 months, my car has retained by this service center for more than 10days due to various issues & regular service. After last service (held in Feb-17), car started making noise which I reported to service center after some days (because I was out of station), they accepted this complaint and asked me to leave the car for couple of hours because they want to upload new version of software which is for engine tuning. After that exercise, problem was same and I was asked to drive for sometime assuming noise will come down. I drove the car for one week and again reported to service center and now they asked me to leave the car for two days and reason given injector plates need to be changed after discussion with technical team. After two days they return back car by saying that still some minor noise is there which will go-off after running for 200kms. I simply asked whether they have changed the injector plates or not and they said no because technical team has advised to re-load latest software and observe noise after 200kms running. After running car for almost 400-500kms, problem was as it is and I again reported to service center. This time they said now we will be replacing injector plates, first they will replace injector plates from their Demo Car and if noise goes off then they will replace with new injector. They we were suppose to handover the car on same day evening but today is 3rd day and car still in service center with no proper response. After frustration, I asked them to return my car in as it is condition but yesterday service center manager told me that they installed demo car injector plate but after that some smoke observed in the car and also observed some low compression. Finally he asked me to leave the car for three more days without giving proper reasoning. I really lost complete trust on this service center and I don't know what experiment they will do with the car. Probably they will do some patch work in the car and give it back to me. Now I will always carry fear while driving, probably car may stop anytime any where.

                                      Now either car has some major technical issue since beginning or there is issue with technician capability. There are big words published on website & showroom & service center about about customer satisfaction but I am sorry to say that all are fake. I really don't know what to do and able to see only solution i.e. approaching consumer court.
