what kind of product u sold we cant understand

    i have purchaged sony vaio vpceb14en on 18.03.2010 from nigam bhubaneswar just for the reputation sony company.But just after 3 months show the motherboard problem and then i went to rajpath service center bhubaneswar and they negleted problem and store the laptop 1 month then again complained him then atlast they send laptop calcutta .i got my laptop after 2month.after i used just 20days then again show the lan port problem and again went the same service center on 29. 10.10 and they asked me after 15 days what is ur password and told me that we order the spare part . and till now 19.11.10 i didn't get my laptop.
    so i requesred replace my laptop and to give the best quality also good service center .

    Sony VAIO — Poor product quality

    Hi All

    I have a sony vaio SZ series for which I paid about 1.2 lakhs. during the warranty period it self the company replaced 2 LCDs and 2 days it stopped working due to some electronics problem. Sony is now asking for 25k for the replacement and is giving no warranty on the new screen.

    ALL THOSE who are buuing sony, please be aware that Sony will give no good service and most importantly NO WARRANTY on the replacement parts.

    Think twice before buying Sony VAIO
    Even i have a problem with vaio..i bought it 7 months back and hard disk has got crashed twice..
    @ jaganath parida: Did they replace the laptop..I am atleast asking them to refund the maoney..

      To begin with I would say I am a SONY loyalist. From music system, digicam,TV to laptops everything seems to have gone SONY's way. So I had opted for a phone Sony Ericcson W910i, which was around 16000 INR. But this time it was a terrible experience I have ever had and I can hardly remember to have used this phone even for a single month without trouble. My phone paid 8 visits to the service centre and yet it appears to come with some new complaints every time. Here is a list of not all but few those problems:

      1. Battery Backup
      2. Low speaker volume
      3. Network Problem.
      4. Software Hang up
      5. Application missing.
      6. Screen disorder.
      7. Blank display.
      8. Adress Book missing.

      Now every time it comes out of the service centre the executives assure me of problem free performance and yet I get numerous problems as free gifts. I decided to give up and thought of selling it off and adding to my woes people offered me a whoping and extravagant price of less a 1000 INR for this phone. This is a shame for a brand like Sony where loyal consumers like me have to give up the trust only because of such awful experiences. I hope this reaches the right people in SONY and also the people who are planning for a Sony Ericsson Phone:...............

        I had purchased a Sony Ericsson mobile phone, model U10i, in the month of february 2010 for Rs 23000.

        I have given my Sony Ericsson U10i for repairing at Sony Ericsson Service Centre in hyderabad. I was informed that since the phone is in the warranty period, it would be sent to the company for the necessary repairs. I was also assured that I would get back my phone after 8-10 days.
        the workorder number is :SE310SI115094

        So, after 10 days I called up the service centre and asked for the status of my phone. They informed me that it would take more 4-5 days.

        Now, even after 18 days I am getting a reply that "the part we have ordered for has not come yet"
        Will the part come after the warranty period expires???????

        The problems that the phone is constantly giving are : no display,no incoming audio,only key pad lights showing up,ear speaker problem.

        this is the fourth time i have given my phone for repairing
        every time i have given my phone at the service centre they have taken atleast 15 days for repairing it and again after 15-20 days it is in a non working condition...

        Please do the need full by replacing the hand set as i have been facing a problem with it only after 2 months of its purchase.......
        Either replace the necessary parts or replace the handset and make sure that the phone works properly after that....

          I agreed and returned after taking the the bill(no 207) from them and also
          Taken mobile battery box pack of my mobile,but in the accessories field in the bill they have mentioned nothing.
          After some days i have went to them for taking my said phone.at that same moment when i am checking my mobile i could not find my memory chip as it was attached with this phone.
          They are calming me that they have returned at the time of making bill. But I am sure of that never they return me the memory chip.after payment of rs 1650 i have returned to my home and started using the phone. Using that i am trying to take the photo snap with my hand set and it was found that not working also there is spot in front of my touch screen.As my home is far away from that respective shop i have tried to call them..The number given in the bill all are out of order.

          I am kindly requesting you to revert me back I will be waiting for the reply other wise i will be going for CONSUMER COURT regarding this.
          I have all the necessary bills with me and at present my phone is with said authorised centre.

            I submitted my phone to Sony Ericsson's service center on date 06/10/2010 at "RT Outsourcing Services Ltd - Tilak Road , White House, 1482 Sadashive Peth, Opp. Tilak Smarak Mandir, Tilak Road ,Pune 4110030.

            The estimated time for repairing was around 15-20 days but i got my phone back on 09/11/2010, The phone was not tested properly and given to me without knowing. When i get it back to home the phone stated hanging one again and got switched off forever. I submitted it back and now they are expecting to wait for more 5 days. It just had 4 months i purchased the phone and out of that it was for 1 month in service center. I request you to take this forward and help me to get my phone in proper condition as it was earlier or if not possible company should return my invested money into that.

              Dear Sir

              I have purchased a Sony Ericsson Zylo Phone on 19th Sep-2010 from M/s Rajesh Telecoms (G 3, R.G. Complex community centre, Sector 8 Rohini , New delhi).
              IMEI No is[protected].
              From 25th October’10 onwards its Display has stopped working, and its parts is not available in any of the listed Sony ericsson authorized service centre all over Delhi.
              I called Sony customer care no[protected], but it wasn’t at all helpful in resolving my issue (ref No. are 88684936 and 8840174)

              Also , I had visited Sony ericson authorized service center Tele Gizmo (Sec – 18 , Gurgaon, Contact N0 [protected]), they refused to accept the handset for repairs stating that parts are not available from last one month. They have taken down my contact no. and told me that they will call back when the parts will be available.

              I want to get my handset replaced or repaired , so please provide the me the appropriate forum where I can raise my grievance. When will be the parts available in Service centres ???

              I am totally agree with that complaint because i am also facing the exact same problem mentioned by Mr.Atul Sukhani. Why would company sell such product whose parts aren't available yet in the market.

                Dear Sir,

                I purchased a Sony Bravia LED TV from Sony Center in Rohini, Sec-8, 2 days back on 7.11.2010.

                This said model was not available on display as the dealer told me that it is a new model. Even then, after seeing the other SONY LED TV’s and not suspecting Sony quality, I bought that LED TV.

                But when I connected that at my home, I found major problems in that.

                1. If you view the TV from Front, the image is brilliant, but even if you take a two steps left or right, the image become absolutely dull (what used to happen in earlier notebook screens.)
                2. I compared the colors and image quality to another SONY LCD TV installed in my house, and surprisingly it was better that this new expensive LED TV.
                3. The RED color was looking RED in SONY LCD but in the new LED it was looking Magenta(PINK) even from front.

                I am attaching a picture which may somewhat be able to make you understand the problem. You can see the dullness (Contrast on Face GONE!!) and compare the Colors at 2 angles. (75 degrees and 90 degrees)

                The person who came for installation today, agreed to the ones I have written above and told me to lodge a complaint.

                I even went to Sony Center again to see whether this problem was persistent with all SONY LED TV’s but it was NOT. I suspect either my particular set is faulty or it the problem with this whole series.

                I am very disappointed to buy this LED TV and request you to either rectify the problem or replace the LED TV ASAP as it has only been 2 DAYS.

                Till today (15.11.10) nobody has called me and not even sent an engineer. I have LOST ALL MY FAITH IN SONY PRODUCTS and would ADVICE DO NOT BUY SONY PRODUCTS as they are now defective and moreover the customer care is pathetic.

                I have WASTED my Rs.60,000.00 and would request others to ensure the creditinals of any company BIG or SMALL before investing in its products.

                Sony — INSTALLATION OF TV

                Sir, i have purchased a LCD TV of Sony
                KLV 26CX320 on 27 Jul 11
                from M/S Sangeeta,

                01 Jul 11. I was given a
                request no. 7712277
                by customer care saying
                that our representative will

                48hrs. But non of your rep
                visit for installation. When i

                request he told that my
                record is showing that
                ur request has been done.
                I surprised! that how it is
                possible. I told
                him that your record is
                wrong nd no one has
                come for installation.
                Then again i got a request

                and same story was
                repeated. Till date
                installation of tv has not
                completed by ur
                representative. Requested to teach them lesson of gud service like u.

                I did check about sony led tv complaint on google search before buying its 48 inch led tv.
                settings to be changed in led tv for better display quality
                Go to video input settings, and go to color matrix, go to component and change everything to ITU709 except 1080i. change this 1080i to ITU601.
                Similarly do this for network video, internet video, usb video, video1, video2 and also hdmi which is connected. And turn off everything in advanced settings in display option. This will resulting in better display quality.

                      Dear Sir,

                      I purchased a Sony walkman NWZ-W202 in December 2009 for the USA. In around July 2010, I noticed rust forming on the magnet on the right ear piece.
                      Hence due to this reason, the right ear piece is not functioning. Only the left ear piece is functioning. It is inportant to note here thet the left ear piece works like ever before. But there is Zero sound emission from the right one.

                      It is strange that the right ear piece, wherein the entire chip is located, id disfunctioning.

                      Please revert with solution except contacting sony authorized service centres and the toll free numbers.

                        I am a 85 year old senior citizen living in Calicut Kerala.
                        I had purchased a Sony LCD Model no KLV 32T400A, from your dealer QRS Retail Ltd, Opposite MES, Women’s College, Near English Church, West Nadakkavu, Kannur Road, Calicut 673011.
                        I bought the Sony TV after paying Rs 37, 500 on[protected], ( invoice number 010909) which is a substantial part of my Life’s savings and I had invested in the Sony Brand assuming that Sony products are of superior quality and will provide me with a trouble free experience for a long time. To my surprise I had few problems with the TV and when I gave a complaint a technician came and he gave me a shocking statement that the LCD screen has to be changed and it will cost about Rs 9, 000, because the warranty is only for 1 year. In this context I would like to bring to your notice that I have a BPL TV and I have been using it for last 15 years without any complaint. Even now it is working well I don’t have any complaint about it.
                        I fail to understand as to how a quality product from a reputed company such as yours can fail within 2 years? Is the quality so bad that the product fails within two years? Being a reputed company I hope you will change the LCD screen at no cost to me, and I hope you will not disappoint me with the standard excuse that I get from your dealer that the “ Warranty is Only for One Year”.
                        I await a positive reply and would request that the LCD Screen be replaced at the earliest at no costs to me.

                          I gave my SONY DCR-DVD405E camera to the service in Sahrayıcedit, İstanbul, Turkey, because I had some problems with it. ( It would stop working from time to time). After some 1.5 months, I was told that my camera got out of order completely. We offered an exchange. However, when I compared the prices of the machines they offered to exchange are 50-100 TL cheaper. Moreover, they told me that I could not pay it in installments. I happened to see that there are machines which could be purchased in 12 installments and beter than other brands.

                          Trusting the brand SONY, I bought my camera for 1800TL and now it became an electronic rubish. Incredible! To my surprize, they even offered to repair it for 400-500 Euros. Can you believe that on one hand they offer a new exchange for 650-700TL, on the other hand they say they can repair it for800-1000 TL. Now I can not help thinking that they want met o get rid of my camera. The efforts of the service workers could not save my machine which would work from time to time but after they had worked on it, it got rubish!

                          At the weekend I am going abroad on 9 day-holiday with my family and we need to have a camera. In this case, I must buy a new but different brand camera. I regret to say that all my trust for SONY has been ended.

                            I bought a sony vaio model no :VPCS123FG/B E1 on 16/08/10 barely 3 month old.

                            All was well till one fine day the screen cracked dramatically (by which i mean the pixels there are no sign of external damages).

                            As it is covered under warranty i made a visit to one of the authorised service centre in my city (Rajpath Service Centre, Bapuji Nagar ,Bhubaneswar, Orissa), expecting some good service taken the brand name into account.

                            But alas a rude shock was waiting for me there, the receptionist-cum-technician had a glance at my screen and declared that it is an accidental damage so it is not covered by warranty and i have to shell out 10000 rupees to get it fixed.

                            Now I would regard the fact that a screen breaks through normal (very gentle) usage within three months as a sign that it's fairly obviously defective, but not to the customer service team here.

                            One guy I spoke to was even rude and abrasive towards me, with apparently no regard for the fact I was a customer who had just shelled out rupees 58,800/- for a now useless machine. He told me that even the slightest contact with the screen could damage it irretrievable and wouldn't even consider the possibility there was something wrong with it. They then proceeded to quote me a total price of 10000 to fix it!! Thanks Sony! (Well actually, that's the upper estimate, it might cost less but I have to pay just to get them to have a look at it to be sure!) I'm genuinely stunned at how appallingly Sony treat their customers.

                            I would urge anyone to please please please keep away from this travesty. If you must buy it, please ensure you never ever touch it.

                              i purchased sony walkman on sept 2009.price-rs4999,model-NWZ-W202.pls note my walkman was in warranty.my walkman was having problem so i have given the same to service centre on 20/07/10.service centre address:-fortune,5,main road,pradhan tower,ranchi-1,jharkhand ph no[protected].today we are sitting on 09/11/10 but still i have not got my walkman back.

                              even i have launched complaint on 01 oct 2010 on sony helpline no.[protected],complaint no is 6066247.but they hv nt taken any action.so, i mailed the complaint to customer care of sony,i got a auto generated complaint no:-6132414.
                              but i didnt got any responce from there side.
                              after that oncalling to sony helpline no.they given me the no of Ms.soma bose of kolkattai.e[protected].but she never picks her ph.

                                Handset handed over to RT Outourcing Services Ltd., Baroda vide workorder nO. SE310BRD13060 on 21st Oct.'10. Till date the same not got back rectified. While contacting them, informed that spare parts not available and no proper action / reaction from Service Centre. The approach of Sony Ericsson / their service centre to be lookinto seriously.

                                Any new products should work properly for atleast a period of 6 months without any problem. The same instrument purchased only 1 month back.

                                  I had called Sony toll free number on 3rd of November to place a request for installation of my LCD KLV-40NX500 and the Interaction number provided is 6316611. I was committed by Sony a resolution of the same in 2 days and to my shock till date (8th November) no one has turned up from Sony nor a courtesy call to update the status.

                                  Requirement being mine I called on the 8th at 4 PM to remind Sony and the response was that some one would call me in 15 minutes and for sure come home to install the same by 7 PM.
                                  Having seen no one turn up I called again at 6:45 PM to be responded by Ali that I would have the service person at home by 8 PM and ensure installation.

                                  Sony lived up to their name by not responding till I called again at 8 :30 and this time had a long conversation with Rahul, Antima, Nidhi and all of them just seem to disown the conversation I had earlier with Sony and bluntly cut the call on my face stating they are closing for the day and to call tomorrow. Wow! So much for the customer who trusted Sony and paid a premium believing in the best but only to realise Sony don't live up to thier commitment. You have to listen to the calls I had with all their team members and I am not sure Sony would be able to detect the discourteous attitude and unprofessional approach to customers as I see it as a culture problem across and not with one person alone in their call centre. I requested or rather in anger demanded for an escalation which was bluntly denied and showed me an attitude of we care two hoots. It was a rude shock when Rahul an Executive said that he is shutting down and want to go home and ordered me to call tomorrow. He with no remose disconnected my call with no second thoughts.

                                  I request to mail me the email Id of Sony CEO as I have lost trust in their entire customer service function having spoken to people like Ali, Rahul Antima, ( I doubt the genuiness of these names now) who only ensured customer who invested in Sony product are shown the road and making us feel like fools for having bought . Sony seriously have a culture of non customer centricity and I would want to share my bitter experience with Sony CEO and non alternate. I demand an explanation from him . Treat this as a demand for escalating this mail to the CEO from a customer who paid money trusting Sony brand which simply has shown the worst.

                                  SONY- MY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. I FEEL LIKE A FOOL FOR HAVING PAID A PREMIUM FOR SONY LCD TV TRUSTING THE BRAND FOR AFTER SALES SERVICE.
                                  I am also copying this mail to Consumer Forums to bring to their notice the way customers are harrassed by Sony a Big player in electronics after having pocketed hard earned money.
                                  A DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER
                                  I PURCHASED A SONY LCD TV 40 BX MODEL ON 02/11/2010 WITH THE INTENTION OF HAVING IT FOR DIWALI. I WAS PROMISED AT THE SHOWROOM THAT IT WOULD BE INSTALLED WITHIN 48 HOURS. HOWEVER NO ONE TURNED UP TILL LATE EVENING ON 4TH . WHEN I CONTACTED THE SHOWROOM I WAS ASKED TO CONTACT THE HELPLINE. WHEN I CONTACTED THE HELPLINE I WAS ASSURED THAT IT WOULD BE INSTALLED THAT DAY. TO DAY IS 9TH NOV AND TILL NOW THE TV IS NOT INSTALLED DESPITE MY REPEATED CALLS TO THE SONY HELPLINE AND LODGING A COMPLAINT THROUGH EMAIL. I WENT IN FOR SONY BY PAYING A HIGH PREMIUM EXPECTING INTERNATIONAL STANDARD SERVICE WHEREAS I AM FACED WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE / RESPONSE I EVER CAME ACROSS .
                                  The truth is the entire Sony Management left the Operations during the Diwali week in the hands of some temp staff who just did not bother what customer faced. After all you and me have bought it and there is no where to go but to these guys for installation.

                                  So hell to the customer attitude. They do not have mechanism to escalate either in thier website nor over call. The only route out is write to thier chief Mr. Howard stringer for the Sony world of management to wake up and act.

                                  LCD TELEVISION — LACK OF SERVICE

(TOSHIBA 32AV700E) FROM BIG BAZAAR KALYAN.AFTER THE DELIVERY(ON 29TH JAN 2011) NO ONE HAS EVEN SOUGHT BACK FOR ITS INSTALLATION AND THE WARRANTY CARD HAS ALSO NOT BEEN FILLED UP BY THEM.ON TALKING TO THE CONCERNED PEOPLE THEY ARGUE THAT IT IS NOT THEIR JOB AND THE COSTUMER HAS TO CONTACT THE TOSHIBA SERVICE CENTRE WHICH COULD NOT BE CONTACTED.

                                    This Aug 2010, Against my family wishes, I bought first time a Sony Camera -- DSC-W320 & My problems started with this stuff. I bought it from Sony Centre at Kalyan Nagar on Outer Ring Road, BANGALORE by paying approx 10k. Within 3 days of purchase it started showing error while clicking as of this kind -- "For use only with Compatible battery" & hangs after that. Only it starts working again after pushing the on-off switch & sometimes even have to take out the battery & reinsert as on-off switch doesn't work while it hangs. I took it to Sony Centre & asked for replacement as it was hardly 10 days old at that time & I had payed my real hard earned money for it, However Sony Centre bluntly refused for replacement & laughed on me & told me that they give 3 yr Warranty so you go to Service Centre. I dont want to keep this camera anymore & I swear i will never ever buy a sony product in my life as well as they have turned to a cheapo chinese rot. I called there call centre[protected] & told this problem but the representative told me to buy a new battery as warranty doesn't cover the battery. Is it my fault that you gave me a defective battery?? No answer & then she gave me an email id - sonyindia.[protected]@ap.sony.com where i can send email for this problem. But she clearly told me that no replacement you need to run around our service centre!!!!

                                      I have bought a Vaio on 27th Oct 10 and the screen started bleeding on 4th Nov 10. The seller wants us to go to the Service Centre directly. I am surprised to see the attitude of Sony Dealers towards their Customers. Anyhow, as per the Service Centre, screen has been physically damaged and they have been unable to find a single scratch on the system. They are confused but are not ready to admit the inferior quality of their products. As the laptop was purchased on behalf of DAV College, we are moving forward circulating this problem to our association of 104 private Colleges in Punjab warning them about the inferior quality of the Sony products backed up by equally inferior Service Centres.

                                        my sony ericsson zylo is now having some trouble in the display when slided. i bought it on 10th sept, 2010. I first observed the problem on 7th nov, 2010. when slided, the display goes off. when i enquired about the same, i found many of the same handsets with the very same slider complaint.

                                        i also bought same zylo phone on same date, but it gave the same problem within 1 month...
                                        the sound volume is also so poor, and when inquired, they say, it is normal volume...!!
                                        I bought same zylo phone on July 2010, it gave the same problem after 3 months...
                                        I too got the same problem I've given it for servicing today. They said they'll try to repair it in 10 days. So pathetic.

                                        As soon I get it repaired(hope) I'll exchange it with some nokia phone. I didn't know that it was of this poor quality. Shame on Sony ericsson. After all it is Made in China (expect the worst) I bought it on 31st july 2010.
                                        now nebdy plz provide a solution to it..i got dis fone on 6th oct and it has the same display problem..does the service centre actually repairs it????do v have any other option apart from getting it repaired at the service centre without even its certainty of it working proper..
                                        Hi All, Same problem with my Zylo bought on Oct 2010. right now it is servicing center since 1 month. they said the problem is with IC/LED (I dont what it is). and the problem is with all zylo models (some manufacturing defect). It's so strange, how such a wellknown company can launch a product without testing it. Customer care guys said that it will take mare 15 days to get my cellphone back because the part is not available. I lost waranty period of 1.5 months because phone is in servicing center, what if same problem occures atfter complition of waranty period, who is going to pay for this?. Can you please suggest where to complaint for issue like this.

                                        Sony Ericsson Zylo W20 — Display Problem

                                        My Sony Ericsson zylo display went off for the second time which is a rdidiculous thing from such a rocking brand in the industry now.. I need my money back for sure..
                                        No sony ericsson next time.. Also the people in the authorized service centre are not enough trained to answer our queries..
