I have lost my mobile on 24th Dec 2008. I have registerd a complain regarding lost mobile ( FIR ). I have sent a query regarding stolen mobile to :- questions.[protected]@sonyericsson.com .

I got reply from questions.[protected]@sonyericsson.com which says that once you give us IMEI no your mobile we can trace. I have submitted them my IMEI no. but when i called up on sonyericsson helpline no 39011111 Mr. Jitendra ( head of service provider...it is being told to me ) they told me sony ericsson doent provide such facility so my question is why ?

"why? "sonyericsson doent provide such service to common people. that facility is available for special people ( big shot ) and if any crucial case is there. accrding to consumer act 2005. i have the right to get the information about my question "why"

as i am the consumer of sony ericsson i have the right to get the proper information. On one hand Mr. Jitendr telling sony ericssson doent provide service to trace your mobile or damaged the mobile completely using IMEI no and other hand i am getting mail from questions.[protected]@sonyericsson.com which says that you provide us ur IMEI no and we can trace your phone

my Questions are :-

1. Why sony ericsson provide tracing the mobile phone facility using IMEI no only for special cases

2.Why there is conflict between questions.[protected]@sonyericsson.com reply and Mr. Jitendra

3. and If sony ericsson doent provide such service then under consumer act 2005 Give me the ans of my question " Why ?" sony ericsson doesnt provide such service

    everyone ! this is a scam that means its a fraud they are asking u to pay a 1000 pounds first and then they will pay u the 500 000 which is just some guy looking to make some money.

    " if its too good to be true" then its probably FALSE
    please educate yourself and beware of such fraud emails texct messsages etc.

    It's a scam. There are no genuine email or text message lotteries. If you didn't enter you didn't win. On top of that, it is illegal in many countries to participate in overseas lotteries.

    Do a google search for lottery scam.

    Hi people i have also recieve this email, mind you im not even regersted with them, its a scam witch i believe is coming from africa, thay are one of the bigest scams in the coumtry, It appears that sony ericcson know's what is happening and should do something about it, as this is a totel disgrase, and gives them a bad name, please do not give out any information no matter how genuane it looks as thay want to use you document for bank loans, mind you if i get my hand on these black busteds thay will wish thay never met me.

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      Myself, Mrs.Aruna devi R, from Chennai, I had purchase one Sony cyberchot 8.1 megapixel digicam on 26th july2008 in dubai(UAE) since more than a month I am facing one problem with my set and there are no proper solution at all till date.

      My complaint:

      As soon as when I press the power button the lens is not getting opened and not zooming out.
      After a long time when im trying to use CAM I found this problem.So I am damn sure that this issue is not due to any mechanical damage or something like that.

      History:

      I had given my set to Sony service center in Chennai Aynavaram-(phone[protected] a month ago.
      And they told that its because of some gear problem and t can be serviced by replacing it..The charge for replacing the gear is too costly so thought of claiming it using service warranty but they are telling that this service cannot be claimed by this service warrany.

      My query:

      Why this cannot be claimed by my service warranty..?

      Kindly consider my problem as urgent, as I am very much worried since more then 1month, and solve this matter as soon as possible.
      I need an urgent solution whether this service charge(to replace the gear) can be claimed by the service warranty ..

      As per Authorized service centre person told me "Lens unit is gone faulty due to send Inside and same damage the Lens unit"but i am not used this camera at sendy area.

        I had bought a Sony Ericsson G505 from a Sony Experience Store in Chennai on 29th Oct 08. The very next day it switches off automatically. After a big hassle, I some how managed to get a remplacement. The remplacement mobile worked well for a week and I had to face the same problem like the earlier one.

        I gave it the authorized service center in Chennai. They promised me treat my case with utmost priority as it's a brand new mobile. It's been more than a week and I am clueless as to what has happened to my mobile. I called SE's customer serivce in Delhi. To my surprise, my case was escalated only after two days of lodging my complaint. They said I am a priority customer and was promised a prompt call back to let me know the status. But I have been calling them everyday. Either they put me on long holds or they repeat the same statement: "Please wait we are working"
        I had very high image about Sony brand. But let me tell I am pushed to the extent of hating Sony. I regret why I bought SE mobile. Please don't buy their mobile. Their customer service is pathetic. They have no concern for their customers. All they can do is to give empty promises. Please do something. I hate SE to the core. I will never ever buy any products of Sony. Please learn from my example. ..

        I have purchased Sony Ericission Mobile G502 through India times on 30/07/2009 under order number [protected]. The mode of payment is ICICIBANKL Credit card.
        Complaint: The Golden strip of the mobile has removed by itself and thus look like this mobile is 2-3 year old which hurt my sentiments. I have also heard many comments from my colleague. It seems to be that I was cheated by opting this item through online shopping. Since this item is under guranteed period so I request you to replace this item with the new one with more durable / relaiable immediately and give me the product that are more reliable.           Sub: Replacement of Spares during the warrenty period - Refusal by your Service Centre M/s Salai Enterprises, Chennai 600 007 - Mobile model No.W580i - IMEI [protected] - purchased on 19-02-08 from M/s Subhiksha Trading Services Ltd., Chennai:

          I purchased the above phone on 19-02-08 and with in a month or two I observed two problems in the instrument (i.e.) 1) There was a problem in the earspeaker and I was not able to hear properly. and 2) There was some problem in getting the battery charged as there was some fault in the connector.

          I reported these matters to your Service Centre at Indira Nagar, Chennai and they simply cleaned the connector and returned the instrument stating that the charging is OK and that is the maximum volume available in this model of the mobile.

          Then I was directed to go your Service Centre at Purasawalkam - M/s Salai Enterprises. After two visits to them they were kind enough to replace the EARSPEAKER (which was faulty) with a new one and also replaced the defective CONNECTOR and said that I have to pay Rs.350/- for the Connector. Left with no other choice I paid the money and took delivery of the mobile. I have to mention here that they have not entered my complaint in the Job Order, ever after my requesting, about the Connector problem and collected the money from me giving a seperate bill.

          I would like you to make me understand why this replacement part be charged during the warrenty period, especially when I was complaining about this from the very beginning. I feel that the Service centre has unnecessarily extracted the money from me when the same can be replaced free of cost. I would request you to please arrange for refund of the amount or explain why this cannot be done.

          The relative bill of the mobile, Job orders registered with M/s Salai Enterprises and the Bill for the Connector

          I bought that cell on 21st dec 2008.Its a very delicate phone and the dpad had became very lose in less than one month.When i went to the service station in Pune(Tilak Road) they said it will charge Rs. 650 for the replacement of the dpad.This is because the warranty is only for the lower part of the slider phone(thats wat they said).That might be because there are many issues bout the cracking of the keypad.

            Sony Ericsson K800i — No information Received

            Hi, I have given my Sony Ericsson at Venus Telelinks, Marathahalli Main Road for checking a few problems related to software/SMS. The Service Centre promised to call back to inform me about the Actual problem after investigation and the estimated repair cost. I have not heard from them for almost 2 weeks now and could not even establish contact with them on the Tel/Mob numbers provided on their receipt. Please suggest, what can I do to atleast get my mobile back.

              I bought a phone from Sony Ercisson, which was the biggest mistkae of my life. The phone stopped working within2 months.

              The service center couldnot repair the phone for 4 months and guess the worst of all, the company is not willing to get me a new handset.

              AND after all of this, the staff at customer care is pathetic, rude and doesnot know anything.

              None of Sony Ericsson's contact numbers are available on their website, so that the customer can get in touch with SOny Ericsson people, instead of those iditic customer care reps.

              I have purchased W302. It works some time and it couldn't work some time.
              Sorry to say, but I am really hurt by the after sales service provided by your company . I bought this handset K 550 i shortlisting from Nokia, Motorola, thinking that brand name sony would really stand out in tem of performance and after sales service if needed . With in three month from date of purchase the problem of network & poor battery performance started . The same was given to GNH telecom for rectification . After changing BT Antenna Foil & system connector it was told that the problem has been rectified, but after a week time the same problem started occurring .

              The handset was again given to service center on 28.02 .09 ( Complaint ID - SES09GNH 10371) . It was told that with in 7 -10 days, the problem would be rectified or a new handset for the same value will be provided . Later I called service center on 05.03.09, confirming that i am ready to accept new handset ( same value) . The customer care confirmed that the things would be executed by Monday ( i.e -09.03.09)
              Today ie 13.03.2009, when I enquired about the set I was told that the part has been arranged &again it would take 4 -5 days to get my handset.

              This ordeal is already 13 days & I have to be without my handset for another 4 days . My only fault was that I bought Sony ericsson handset and the result is I have to be without handset for Approx 20 days missing lot of important business calls .

              Even after this I am not sure when exactly I will receive this handset and the repaired one would work for how long ! Hope some senior guy from the company is listening and is really cared for the brand name "SONY ERICSSON"

              Today again after receiveing assurance that I will receive in four working days i.e 0n 18th, I have not receive the handset and on calling customer there reply is same that the complaint is in process and please wait

              SONY ERICSON K810i Mobile phone — Faulty phone & Lousy Service centre

              I had purchased a new K 810i Sony ericson mobile phone from the MOBILE STORE, VASHI on[protected].

              It had some problem with my K 810i Sony Ericson handset and i went to Kaizer telecom, BSEL TECH PARK, FIRST FLOOR, Opp. vashi rlwy, statn., Vashi, NAVI MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA.

              IMEI NO. OF THE HANDSET IS [protected].

              The first workorder SE309KT110386 was opened on 29-7-09 regarding KEYPAD, joystick & camera key problem. My phone was delivered to me on 21-8-09 (approx. after a month) but i was not convinced with the work done as the joystick which was replaced was not a new one and was a old one, reason being the workorder did not state that a old part has been replaced by a new one.

              There was another problem on 13-12-09 when the same phone went dead. Again i took the phone to Kaizer Telecom and Second workorder No. SE309KT112002 was created on 14-12-09.

              Kaizer telecom repaired the instrument and gave it back to me on 18-12-09 stating that they had upgraded the software and replaced the complete keyfoil which was not changed at all.

              The phone has once again gone Dead on 26-12-09 but kaizer telecom was closed on 27-12-09 and even today.

              What can be done now?
              Can Sony ericson india help me out as i have no trust on this service centre.

              Kindly look into this matter at the earliest.

The phone stopped in one and halfe year due to some problem in screen and battery also discharge within 12 hrs after full charging.Presently no information desplay on the screen and not ON the instrument.No sevice centre provided in nearest of purchasing places(Disst-Neemuch-Madhya pradesh.).

              So, Please suggest to me for repair/resplacement of instrument.

              Also Please send the total repairing cost of this instrument.

              What is the cost of New battery and screen.

              Its kind of worst service u'll ever get! i have given my phone for repairing its been 2 months now & its still with htem everytime i call they say pay the service charge & u can take ur phone...why would anyone in the world pay for service charge if you are not getting any sort of service... they are sayin we are awaitng parts from sony ericsson main branch.. i[censored] want u can talk to sony ericsson customer service..

              Dear Sir,

              i have purchased one handset of Sony Ericsson ( VIVAZ PRO U8i) in the month of June from Kota (Rajasthan).
              All of a sudden the display goes off and phone get DEAD . I submitted my handset to the service center on 24th of jan. Next day i informed from service center and i got to know that motherboard is not working and they have to replace it as they dont have parts so they ordered from Chennai, when they received the motherboard of my handset and checked still the phone is dead, when i inquired why my phone is not working yet, they said they have to replace some other parts . Still the parts not get replaced and the response of service center peoples are that they are helpless they are not receiving the parts from Banglore. More then 15 days passed there is no process and there is no answer at service center . Total mental harassment by Sony Ericsson and pathetic level of servicing . below poor.

              i waste my Rs 23000 in purchasing this handset and facing such a problem . Please Help

                I have given my sony ericsson handset w660i model for repair to the Sony certified service centre in Bangalore located in Jayanagar. It was given on 31.10.2008 and was told that it will be ready in two days. Now it is 3 weeks since but still not over. They informed me in between that it is ready and may be collected. But when i go there, the handset is handed over to me and asked me to check it up...but i found that it was not repaired and the problem i reported was still there. They took the same back and asked me to come next day...Next day I received three calls from different persons from the service centre and on repeatedly telling them about the position previous day...i was informed that now it has been repaired and ready to be collected and was told that the charges was Rs.950/-. But when i reach there, to my shock there is no change, the handset is in the same position as it was earlier day. morever a new problem which was not there when i gave the handset for repair was noticed...Again i was told that there is problem in the motherboard and they will get it replaced and that i can collected on next thursday...i.e 20.11.2008. I have not received any intimation till today. On persuasion that their landline phone is always busy and am not able to connect, i was given a mobile number of an individual, which i find is switched off after severral rings on different occasions. I do not understand how Sony ericsson is operating with such kind of service...I think this may be kept in mind by all the people who are planning to buy a mobile handset...

                Sony Handset W660i — Handset problem

                Thye given me back after 1 month & now again I'm finding problem in connector from last one month.

                  last year i purchased Sony digital camera dsw 35, which slipped from my hand couple of week back. due to which its flash only was /out of function/not working rest was functioning well in all modes video as well as still. I handed over the camera on Sony service cent re dayanand vihar. when i handed over the camera, Sony representative itself checked it it was o.k (able to capture the photograph and all function except the flash. After two days back i got a call that ur camera needs repiar that will cost u around 7300 rs, i was wondered then i refused for the repair mentioning that (itena mai to naya aa jayega). When i went to received the camera i found that my camera is dead not able to capture the photograph . I refused to take the camera back, it was still with sony service centre. i request through this forum i got the problem solved.how can it possible that when u handed over functioning camera and in return engineer says it will not work. please help and guide. rajeev

                    Hi,
                    I had purchsed a Sony Ericsson W580i phone around 1 year back at UniverCell Mobile phone at Jayanagar bangalore and after 6 months the phone started giving display problem (i.e. the LCD started showing lines and after few days it stopped displaying completely) and when I went to the SONY authorized service centre name: ASCENTEL, Commercial Street, Bangalore. Ph:[protected]/44 they told its becuase of the sweat the water could have gone inside and spoiled the LCD (the reason what they give has surprised me becuase we stay in a hot country and I think every one sweats) and told me as my phone was under warranty they will replace it completely without me paying any money. Now after 6 months of service I started facing the same problem again and when I went back to the service centre they said you warranty has expired and you need to pay Rs.1500/- for the phone to be get repiared. I also logged a complaint with SONY ERICSSON customer care no:[protected]my complaint no:SE[protected] for the POOR Quality of Service what SONY ERICSSON promises to their customers.

                    I think there are other many who might be facing the same issue and wouldnt have come and made a complaint here. I think I should get justice...

                    I purchased a sony ericsson mobile phone, model no-W58Oi and within 45 days only it stopped working. I took it to sony ericsson service center- CARIANO TELECOM PVT. LTD., 4/1, Roop Nagar, Delhi-110007, but after asking weather it is in warranty period or not, they refused taking it for repairing. Then I booked complaints in customer care and finally the service center people took my mobile for repairing, but they never replied to my phone calls and visits for about 25 days. Then after that they said that they won’t be able to repair it.

                    Presently, my phone is in warranty period but still no one is ready to take any kind of action against it repairing. I have even booked complaints in the customer care but they also haven’t taken any step forward.

                    Sony Ericsson W580i — Problematic phone

                    I got one w580i in august and within one month a software problem arised followed by corrupted mem-stick. Then after two more months the left soft key broke by itself and the numeric key foil flattened. I strongly advise not to buy this phone. Very poor built quality.
                    I agree too... This actually happened to me after 2 WEEKS!!! I got lines running across my display and I'm very displeased!

                    On dated 13.09.08 i have purchase a Sony Eriction W580i Handset.Then several tims i am suffring from speaker problem.Arround dec i suffered a speaker problem and submitted the handset to Eriction service centre.                     I had purchased Sony Ericsson W580i in May 2008 and I also faced LCD problem in Sony Ericsson W580i they said that there is neither physical demmage nor sweat the water and they will replace LCD.As my phone is within warranty period I have submitted my phone on 27th April 2009 at authorized service centre of Sony till date I have not received my phone.Though I have paid 10k for the phone, It is like I have been gifted the phone from Sony Company and I have been begging for my phone since last 15 days on their customer care service helpline.They have been delaying saying LCD part is not available in the company.I want to say if part is not available with the company then it is responsibility of the company to provide the alternate handset or replace it.

                    I am facing the same problem/issue with W580i model. First it started displaying the lines from the top of the screen and slowly started shading the screen blank and invisible. Sony should take this into consideration and have to fix the issue.

                    I wonder that there are many such cases as to me.

                    My mobile Sony Ericsson W595 given for servicing on 1/10/2009 stateing display not working, the AUTHORISED SERVICE provider ACCEL FRONTLINE SERVICES Pvt. is unable to rectify the problem. unfortunately the service provider is stopped attending my mobile calls.when called on land phone the response is same.

                    Even after 1 month of non rectification of phone ACCEL FRONTLINE SERVICES Pvt. has not provided a STAND BY phone.

                    My name is Ramesh Ramaswamy. Everybody says “I am big brand loyal of ‘SONY’ if they never visited ‘SONY’ service center. I faced usual problem of ‘Red Light Blinking, not getting switch on’ on my w580i Phone. If you google with same issue, you will get lot of information. On 12/12/2009 I gave my Sony Ericsson w580i phone for service, they have been telling ‘call us after two days’, one fine day they said ‘not repairable’. I called customer service #[protected] to waste my time. My reference # is 86202305. They said go back to service center and give us call. I went to service center on 29/12/2009. They said we will service your phone? Again they started their own story ‘call us after two days’. On 4/1/2010 I called service center, they asked me to call ‘after two day’
                    Golden sentence said by Mr.Deepak Sharma, from sony ericsson customer service “after warranty any issue with your phone go and buy new mobile (he didn’t tell which brand)’

                    I bought a Sony W580i mobile phone on 25th Nov, 2008. On getting some minor problems with the phone within the warranty period of 1 year, I submitted my phone at the Service centre, Janakpuri.
                    The service centre people returned me the phone claiming that the problems have been solved.
                    But, to my surprise, in place of those minor problems which I had in the phone, now there are so major issues in the same handset like sound not coming from speaker, ringtone sound not audible, front panel completely comes out etc.
                    This is not an expected response from an esteemed organization like Sony to insert such major defects in the handset. Now the warranty period has ended.
                    I have lodged the compaints on Sony customer care regarding what can be done from company side in this regard as this is not the fault of customer, rather it is the responsibility of company to return the handset in same condition as it was before submitting it at service centre.
                    But in 1 month, there is no response from the company on this issue. Now, the warranty has ended. After this kind of response from Sony Ericsson, I have lost my trust on this brand.

                    I am also facing same probl... its worst quality phone... its better we buy Nokia handset atleast it works in Indian climate... Sony is hope less and i am not at all satisfied with the phone performance.

                    Nungambakkam Service centre for the Problem of Non- Working of th earspeaker on 18.03.2010, Under guarantee card Period.
                    The executive there promised to return the mobile back within the next day. But when i called up the inormed me that the mobile
                    will be ready only on 20.03.10. So the next day i went there & got my mobile back , only to find that there was on damage on my
                    panel. They have broken the front panel. So i came back giving the mobile to your centre executives to change the panel. Again they
                    promised to return it back within two days. But when i called back to find the mobile is not yet ready & it will take another week
                    to finish.
                    Now, form 18.03.2010 till 04.04.2010. i am roaming chennai without my mobile. wat type service are you guys providing? Really
                    to say i am missing lot of important calls due to your carelessness. I am really unhappy with your service. SONY ERICSSON had an

                    I Bought Sony Eriesson W580i handset in Oct 2007. This was the worst handset and have lot of problems like hang, automatic switch off etc. Within 2 months of purchase I sent this for service. Sony Ericsson service centre in Gurgaon is the worst centre. People even dont know how to talk customers. Anyway they changed the software and return the set after 20 days. Set was having same problem. After 2 months again I gave set for service in main service centre located in Delhi. They repeated same thing. Handset was having same problem.
                    I bought this set by expending 11,000/ and I was not able to use set properly for 1 year.
                    Later on I came to know that this model have same problem.
                    Before buying this set I was fan of Sony Ericsson models but Now I do not have fath on Sony Ericssion products. Please do not by any product of Sony Ericsson.

                    Sony Ericsson — Display of mobile phone is totally gone

                    I bought a sony ericsson mobile phone C510 on 15th October 2009 and just a few days ago its display has gone totally.The phone is still under warranty period.I went to the sony ericsson service center(Infinity computer cares) in Gwalior but they are saying that the phone is either fallen or has been subjected to water so it will not be covered under warranty but sir my phone has neither felt nor came in contact with water.
                    They are saying that the display will have to be changed and it will cost RS.2250.
                    But the phone comes in warranty period so i want you to look into the matter and help me out.

                    i stay in chennai. i bought a sony ericsson hazel from univercell trivandrum about 6months back... after 3 months the display stopped working.i took it to the certified service centre in chennai and they said that it is because of moisture entering the console that the display got damaged and it is a common problem but they repaired it for free under warranty.They also said that if any problems occur again, i can bring it back and get it done under warranty... now, again after 3 months of replacing the display, i get lines across my screen... as im in kerala now for my vacation, i took it to the certified centre in trivandrum, they dismantled my whole phone and pointed at a small dot on the bottom of the screen saying it is rust and that the display has to be replaced because of moisture entering blah blahh... they said they cant replace it under warranty inspite of the service warranty also and that i have to pay Rs1600 for a new one fearing that sony ericsson may reject the faulty piece and that it will take them over a month to fix it since they have to wait for the part to arrive from chennai... after arguing with them, they reassembled my phone and returned it to me as i said that ill get it done from the place i gave it first. whats more, when i got my phone back reassembled, the camera key doesnt work. and the back side cover of my phone's face is bent.. when i asked about that, they said it happens when they have to open the phone.. i got really dissapointed with the service and the careless handling of my phone..my everlasting love for sony ericsson is now no more thanks to these incompetent people in the service centre. Sony should give justice..i feel the chennai service is better.

                      1.Copy the Media into Memory Card around 1.5GB.

                      3.Switch on the Phone.
                      4.Its try to update the Media Content.But in between it restart and again "Try to update the Media Content".Again restating...its going like that...
                      5.If i removed the Card from Phone and swith on, its working fine

                        I had this same problem before and I managed to fix it with a little luck and persistence.
                        First restart your phone and just tap the screen with your finger or stylus continuously while it’s booting, when you hear a tapping sound it means it’s working. Hope this helps bye.
                        I too am having problem with my SE w960i. While receiving a call recently, suddenly the screen froze ! No amount of tapping the touch-screen or "backing" helped. After I switched off, it failed to re-boot. Where can I get it serviced in India? (it was bought in Norway)

                        i bought W960i just one month back its really nice mobile but suddenly after using it for 20 days one it fell down from a height of 3 feet
                        from then onwards its touch pad is not working ..so will this problem recover what i need to do...
                        A NEW HANDSET SHOULD BE PROVIDED IF BACK SUPPORT IS NOT PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER.
                        Did your battery comletely run out before you recharged it?. I had the same problem. If tapping it continuously doesn't work. Drop it from about 10 cm height. For some reason, this fixed my problem. As with all electronic equipment, it is built to withstand drops as long as it is not too high.
                        If this helps you out, confirm on message board so others can sort out their problems using same method
                        Download the update service from the sony ericsson website and update your phone... it should help

                        hi, the screen tapping did not work, so i drop it, this also not work, then i remove the touch screen gently with a metal blade and put it back after cleaning it with a soft cloth, it worked for me now, thanks to all the idea i got here i have been able to solve the problem.that's great !

                          I have purchased sony KV-HP213M93 on October 28, 2007. After instaling the TV, I noticed that the picture is shaking and I felt so upset. Immediately, I called Reliance Digital Store where I was purchased the TV. They replied me that they will come in 48 hours, but it has been 1 month no body looked into my problem.

                            I have submitted my W850 4 months back and have not got it yet. They have been saying "waiting for display to come" from past 4 months. I really wonder why it takes 4 months to reach display in bangalore, a metro city.
                            The service centre people are being very irresponsible & seem like there business is cheating & nothing else.

                            Even I face the same issue with my SE Mobile (w580i), Mother Board fault within 3 mnths of purchase.

                            When I surrended it in one of the SE service centre in HYDERABAD, they have replaced the motherboard by the same time they have changed the battery.

                            They just removed my new battery & replaced it with some old one which went down in 1 yr. when I asked they for my battery back they just gave blame excuses saying that my old battry aslo had an problem hence they replaced it too. If that's the case why do they replace it with an old one, rather than an new one.

                            CHEATING is not only in one of the SE service centre it happens all around

                              Hi,
                              I had given my sony ericson w580i for the service where i had a problem with sim holder.
                              These service centre guys kept my mobile for more than 20 days and didnt even touched it, returned back without resolving and took Rs - 150 as handling chanrges. When i given to the local service it was a minor problem and can be solved in couple of hours.

                              This kind of worst activities are carried out in Bangalore.

                              Hope this complain will be considered and take a strong action agaist them.
                              I will produce all my details if am assured to get justice on this.

                                TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN:

                                I have taken an LG air conditioner from Sony Mony Borivali East shop on 19-April-2008. As it was LG's 11th anniversary in India, they had a scheme of giving away free gifts with any LG product purchase. After scratching the scratch card, an LG DVD player (model no. DV257) was written on it. I showed it to the sales preson (Mr. Atul) there. He told me to hand over the scratch card to him and said that they are collecting all such free gift scratch cards and will handover to LG company. When the gift comes from LG company, they will call me up on the telephone no. written on my bill. But, unfortunately and very surprisingly, I have not received any call from Sony Mony Borivali - West Branch from last 6 months. So I started following up with them on phone about the status of my free gift thinking that i will get it one day or hte other and also seeing that Sony Mony being a big shop will not run away. I use to talk to Mr. Atul for 4-5 months and just to tick me away he use to tell me that all gifts are pending from LG side. Once they provide all the gifts to Sony Mony, it will be handed over to me. I spoke to him every 15 days for 4-5 months. Then after loosing my patience and shouting at him one day, he told me to come with the bill. I went to Sony Mony Borivali - West Branch on 18-Oct-2008 and showed my bill to Mr. Atul and also to the shop manager Mr Jagadish bhai. He also started behaving like a professional manager. He took a xerox of my bill and told me to contact after 3-4 days. When i did so after 4 days he told me that he is in contact with LG people and will get back to me in 1weeks time. After diwali, when i again followed up with Mr. Jagadish bhai on his cell no:- [protected], he behaved very rudely with me and told me that he will get back to me in 2-3 days which he never did. Then I again went to Sony Mony Borivali - West Branch for the 4th time on 15-Nov-2008. Again i found Mr. Jagadish behaviour very rude and his attitude towards his customer very arrogant and ignorant. He gave me one no. of Mr. Saibal (Area Sales Manager LG -- [protected]). He told that he will speak to him and that i can also follow up with him on monday evening i.e. on 17-Nov-2008. When I did speak to Mr. Saibal he told me that all the free gifts had been handed over to Sony Mony Borivali - West Branch and no gift has been pending with LG. He said that he also proof that the gifts are delivered to Sony Mony Borivali - West Branch. Then again when I called up Mr. Jagadish, he did not pick up the phone as he usually does. I wrote a SMS to him informing him what Mr. Saibal from LG informed me. Listening to this he became furious and told me that you can directly talk to LG going forward and Sony Mony will not come in picture going forward.

                                I want to mention here that all of those reading this should not take any product from any branch of Sony Mony and also spread this news to the maximum extent. These guys should be taught a lesson.

                                If somebody from the consumer forum is reading this then please take a note of this and punish them to the maximum extent.

                                Problem: The problem started within a week after its purchasing. It started giving the problem of incoming- outgoing hearing problem by the people who calls me on my mobile. The problem is in set only not with sim card as its perfectly working on other mobiles.

                                  k530i problems

                                  i bought k530i sonyericsson phone just 6 months back...it gives somany problems...like
                                  1. some time it won't read the memory card
                                  2.USB is not working properly
                                  3. some times it says playback mode failed...
                                  if i ask customer care people they say that restart and it works fine...where we can go...if they won't support?...

                                  I purchased a Sony Ericsson K530i handset on 19th Dec 2007 for Rs.9200/-.
                                  2. Within two months of purchase, i.e., in February/March itself the set started to give trouble. The main problem being that from time to time the handset would not get charged. Since I have owned two Sony handsets before buying this set, which had exactly the same problem which would usually get sorted out on its own, I put it down to some kind of temporary non-serious problem and did not report the issue to the service station. In April 2008, when the problem cropped up with alarming frequency, I sent one of my office staff to the … Sony service centre. The service centre informed that there was some problem in the micro chip which will take a couple of days to repair but as I was about to leave for an outstation tour and the problem was not very serious I did not send the set for repairs.
                                  3. However on 24th October 2008 the set again refused to take charging at all and therefore I sent the set to the same service centre on 25th October 2008 for repair. The Service Centre informed that the set has ‘liquid seepage’ and as such would not be repaired/replaced by the company.

                                  4. Now the Service Centre has conveyed that I would be required to pay 70% of the original cost viz Rs. 7000/- to repair my handset which is barely 11 months old purchased at a cost of Rs. 9200/-. Furthermore, I am certain that the price of this particular model would have come down further as on date.
                                  However, I am unable to understand why I should be held responsible for what is obviously a manufacturing defect in either this particular handsets or more seriously in all the products/mobile handsets manufactured/marketed by Sony Ericsson. As I have stated earlier, I have prior experience with Sony Ericsson mobile handsets and a similar problem had been experienced by me with Mobile Set model bearing Number T 230. Similarly, when I was posted as Deputy General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd., West Bengal Telecom Circle, Kolkata the Sony Ericsson handsets officially provided to me also had similar problems.

                                  4. Now the question that remains unanswered is ‘what is liquid damage and how it is detected?’ I have explained/clarified to all the concerned personnel at the Service Centre, namely, the in-charge of Service Centre, the Engineer, the manager – ‘Sony world show room’ and even the Receptionist of the Service Centre (who also chose to interrogate me over this issue), that I am an extremely careful user (having worked in the Telecom industry for more than 10 years) and that I have not exposed my handset to any kind of moisture (let alone liquid) of any sort and that this problem was pre-existing in the handset ab-initio. In fac, t I have two 7/8 year old cell phones still in usable condition with me, of which one happens to be Sony Ericsson and it has exactly the same problem of not taking charge from time to time! Therefore, if at all so called ‘liquid seepage’ exists it may be because your handsets are unable to function with even atmospheric moisture such as is available in the air of Pune! And why is a poor customer being made to suffer and pay for what is clearly a manufacturing defect is beyond my comprehension. Further from the above it can be safely concluded that there has been some kind of manufacturing problem in the Sony Ericsson handsets and especially in this handset. As if the handset gets damaged from moisture in a dry climate such as Pune’s then there must be a serious problem which definitely cant be attributed to a user/customer. However, one look at my handset which is in pristine condition, would reveal that there cannot be such liquid seepage to the extent as to render the handset un-repairable.

                                  5. Further, the Service Centre Receptionist and Engineers are showing me a small strip of red inside the hand set as the symbol of liquid damage, but when I was sold the hand set, the said strip was already red for all I know! How can it be a proof that I have exposed my set to liquid and have made this red is again not understood? It is evident that Sony Ericsson wants to lead on its customers with such frivolous excuses.

                                  6. Further, this kind of attitude is unheard of in any company except Sony Ericsson. All the other mobile handset manufacturers respect the right of the customer to the warranty period and repair/replace the handset within that time at least. Whereas Sony Ericsson on some pretext does not even want to honour that minimum warranty period of one year. It is to be noted here that I purchased this handset on 19th of December 2007 and the one year period is not over yet!

                                  7. Finally, I would like to add that it is extremely distressing for a genuine customer like me who has been using Sony Ericsson handsets for long time to be treated like this. In today’s competitive environment when customers are treated with care and dignity, it is expected that Sony Ericsson may show better appreciation of my problem and give me a positive response for which I shall be very grateful. I and my staff have been visiting the Salora Service Centre, Bibvewadi, Pune and the Sony World Show Room, Lulla Nagar Pune on past several occasions starting from Oct 25th 2008.

                                    I bought a sony ericsson handset (w850i), and within 6months itself its display is gone. Last time when i gave it to the service centre in HSR, they took 2 months to give it back to me. I was informed that the display has gone and its taking time for them to bring it from Chennai.Ater 2 months i am facing the same problem. very worse, the so called authorized service centre guys in HSR Layout Bangalore keep telling me that it would take another week for the handset to get repaired(repeating this many time)... they are getting the parts from Chennai. The most worse part is the way they respond no proper answer.

                                    The HSR Authorized Service center is very worst center i dont understand why Sony Erricson people does not take action inspite of many complaints at this center.

                                    Very worse people at HSR Layout center they answer and they dont pickup the phone, if at all they pickup they dont answer properly.

                                    W580i/Black(Sony Ericson Mobile) — Misbehavour of service center

                                    I Have purchased W580i sony ericson mobile phone from GARG ASSOCIATES, Model Town West, Ghaziabad for Rs. 12500= with proper bill. My IMEI no. is [protected] on 17.09.2007. After few months o[censored]se it gave me problems reagrding functioning. I went to the above dealter. He told me to contact your service center namely DEEP SERVICES, Nai Basti, Ghaziabad. I went to DEEP SERVICES for repairing of my mobile. He assured me to repair it in a weeks time. After a week I inquired about my mobile he dogged me for another weeek. As such he dogged me for few more weeks. Yesterday, it crossed the limits when DEEP SERVICES owner told me that we are not responsible for dealy and even repairing of the said phone. The height was he told me that why you purchased the sony ericson phone only. We people had not come to your residence to sell the mobile phone. These were the words of your service centre person representing sonly ericson. I got surprised and also he misbehaved with me in other sence also. I am a person of repute and am having hotel business in centre of Ghaziabad. How can he behave like this with me and even defame your brand sony ericson. How people will go to buy your product, if your service centre behaves like this. I have not got even my phone till now and I am not intersted in facing that person also. I am lodging this complait of firstly not getting my mobile repaired for a month and secondly against the behaviour of your DEEP SERVICES center. If some action against is not taken against this perticular service center and my mobile repaired or replaced as a new one, I am forced to go to Cosumer court for lodging complaint regarding both the above issues. My present mobile no. [protected] and my address is PANDIT HOTEL, 7- GT ROAD, Ghaziabad. If you people are interested in redressal of this complain, I am ready to wait for your reply for a week only. I am not going to collect my mobile from that person of rude behaviour. Let my phone remain with DEEP SERVICES if repaired also.

                                    Hi,

                                    I do support your comment 100%.Even I m from HSR layout.My 580i is also the worst set i have seen.Within 5months of purchase my phone used to hang and calls used to get disconnected.I gave it for service and they said its missing some software update.I donno why a new phone required s/wupdate.Even now i m facing the same problem and the phone has started melting.The speaker region heats up and some kind of a black ash has formed around the speaker region.
                                    I did not expect such a set from Sony.I think they are supplying China manufactured sets.I wud advise whoever reads this to stop going for Sony mobile sets.
                                    One of the worst experience with a phone after paying 14k.Cud have had a 500 bucks china handset.

                                    Sony Ericsson — Bad services by Ghaziabad service center

                                    I would like to book a complaint against Sony Erricson company. My model K510i met with an accident & its screen & body got shattered. I went the only service center of this company in Ghaziabad. They denied to repair it saying that the company does not produces body of this mobile.

                                      after 5 days from date of purchase my mobile gone dead.that time i deposited my mobile in sony ericsson service center in patel nagar delhi.after few days i got my mobile after ten days in working condition.
                                      next day i got again same problem .mobile gesture control not woking display is not woking.then again my mobile repaird by the same service center.

                                      after few days my mobile again gone in a dead condition. this time i deposited my mobile in allahabad service center on 18Nov08. but now my mobile not repaierd on till date.my current complin no is= SES08ALD12677.

                                      i m using only 15 days from date of purchase, and i am going to dubai on 25nov08.

                                      i want replace my mobile.becouse sonyericsson not having service center in dubai.
                                      i m not in conditoin to going to again service center
                                      so kindly request to you please help me for the replacement to my mobile.

                                      sony ericsson W380i — earspeaker & loudspeaker problem

                                      I bought a new Sony ericsson W 380 i last month.
                                      Within a month there was a problem in the speakers of the mobile
                                      i Could not hear the incoming voice of the caller
                                      On Oct 13 i gave my mobile at SALORA iNTERNATIONAL LTD, NR MINERVA CINEMA, GRANT RD [E], MUMBAI 7.

                                      In ten days i have been there 3 TIMES. Everytime they tell me that the speakers will be coming from singapore or some other place in 2 or 3 days. WHEN THEY GET THE COURIER THEY WE FIX MY MOBILE

                                      If you dont have the accessories that is not our problem.
                                      I have a lot of trouble in my business without my mobile
                                      i dont have any other mobile to use
                                      so i cant wait for 10 more days for the cell to be repaired.
                                      today when i went to SALORA INT. LTD. they said that since diwali is there next week, you will have to come on 3rd NOVEMBER and
                                      that too, they dont guarantee whether i will get it on 3 november or not

                                      Sony Ericsson W380i — NOT GETTING ON AND NOT DETECTING TO THE PC

                                      The phone is not getting on and not detecting to the PC.

                                      Reason for the problem

                                      * I Connected the phone to PC through data cable.
                                      * The computer was shutdown at once while the phone was connected.
                                      * I re-started the computer as well as the phone but the phone did not get on only the light.

                                      I bought a sony erricson mobile handset model w395 and has a IMIE no [protected] in vivek limited at tambaram chennai on 26/12/2009.The loudspeaker problem created within alternate week ..i went nearest sony erricson service centre 5 times , they changed loudspeaker, but same problem created .They changed mother board also ,but problem will happen till now.i have 3 workorder number , 1st was se310mc110089 created on jan 7, 2010.. 2nd was se310mc110363 on jan 29,2010.& 3rd was se310mc110441 on feb 4,2010.The service centre address is MOBILE CARE 105.1st floor,GST road ,sanatorium,tambaram, chennai.please do something for sony erricson,so this type of problem will never create in future..
