Sir, We would like to bring to your notice that some of the employees who work at Mahindra City, Paranur are not using the over bridge and are used to cross the railway tracks. Kindly requesting you to place some danger signs or atleast close the way so that no one is encouraged to cross the track. Regards Muthu K

I am travelling from chennai to Salem in ms Salem express today on 15th Dec'15 along with my wife & Kid in S2 seat number 17&20. Train is empty & I hardly see 10 ppl in this S2 coach. And I hardly see ladies. I see two men drunkard & sleeping in side upper & lower birth opposite to my seat. I seevguy vomiting from the window & it is smelling bad. I am feared and makes me feel not to sleep as I feel it is unsafe for me & my family. Ticket checker should not allow this guys as they don't have a confirm ticket at first place & then they are drunkard. It is really a big issue for the ppl who have confirm ticket.. Pls be alert that I am lodging this complain & I want the TC to be more active to push this ppl out of train..

Very very worst train services in gummudipoondi route. Not even a single train runs on time. We are really fed up with the services. Today I got 6pm train in central, which already came only by 6.05pm and started by 6.25pm. It was stopped right next signal before Basin bridge till 6.50pm again stopped in next signal. This happens daily, min of 1.30 mins delay in peak hour services. No train frequency. Importance is only given to arakkonam TRT route. It is taking 1 hour to reach thiruvattiour which should take 20 mins. None is responsible to take action on this route. The importance given to goods is not given to EMI trains.

My name is I. Palani. My native place is Nagarkoil and I work at Coimbatore. On 29 Nov., I traveled from Nagarkoil to Coimbatore in Train No. 12659, Reserved Compartment S4, Reserved seat Nos: 70, 3, and 24. I was traveling with my wife and my sick mother aged 65 whom I was taking for treatment at Coimbatore. At Palakkad, a lot of people from the North entered the reserved compartment and occupied all the places including the paths, so nobody can move at all. One person attacked me and removed me from my berth and started abusing me a lot. My sick mother suffered a lot because she couldn't move anywhere and could not even go to the toilet. There was no TT nor the RPP in the train for the whole travel time and I couldn't contact anybody foe help. I found a Chennai number at the compartment and I called them and complained about this unfortunate incident. They tole that they will send some police personnel at Coimbatore Station which they did. But they couldn't arrest the person causing all the trouble because TT was not there to get his consent to arrest that passenger. Please advise me what should I do further to redress this kind unlawful entry into the reserved compartment and attack on legitimate passengers travelling with reserved tickets? It is really a helpless situation with no help from TT or RPP in the train. Hoping for the solution of this grave problem, Yours sincerely, I. Palani

          Dated :[protected].
          Sir / Madam,
This is about regular delay in arrival of 56701 Punalur-Madurai Passenger at Madurai Railway Junction. On 16-11-15, the train arrived only at 0650 hrs against ETA 0620 hrs. So many passengers from Nagercoil side who wish to board the 12636 Vaigai Express from Madurai to Chennai Egmore with ETD 0700 h and 56723 Madurai-Rameswaram Passenger with ETD 0650 hrs were not able to obtain ticket from counter and board the respective trains. This is not only an inconvenience to Passengers as the next train from Madurai to Chennai side is only at 1115 hrs and next train to Rameswaram side is only at 1230 hrs. The delay in 56701 Punalur- Madurai Passenger at Madurai also results in loss of considerable revenue for the Railways.

As a matter of fact, 56701 passenger travels at an idle speed like any other passenger and for a distance of merely 7 kms the train takes 1 hrs 50 minutes as per schedule (Tiruparankndrm ETD 0430 h Madurai ETA 0620 h). This shows the least priority given to this train by Railways, despite the fact that the crossings of the so many trains plying in the opposite direction could be managed better without affecting the 56701 train schedule. When the schedule is not Passenger-friendly, major revenues from this 56701 passengers is earned by Railways from many Govt./Private Sector employees who commute overnight so as to further travel to Rameswaram/Chennai side from Trivandrum/Kollam/Nagercoil via Madurai.

I would like to urge the intervention of the Railway Division and Board to review and ensure that 56701 Passenger arrives at 0500 h at Madurai by revising the Schedule.

Urgent action and a line in reply is requested.

          Yours faithfully,

          Rattan Kumar.R., TC 42/104(2), Akshaya, Cheppil Lane, CLRA-107A, Vallakkadavu(PO), Trivandrum 695008, Kerala.

There has been water logging in the subway of Tambaram Sanatorium railway station for the past three days. All the ways are closed to avoid level crossing by public. There is no other way to come out of the station on the Chitlapakkam side except a narrow slushy path where lot of plants are grown. Commuters find difficult to pass through the way. Railway authorities should act fast to remove water logging inside the subway. They have to provide an emergency exit from the said station under full security. Thank you

A complaint was sent to Vigilence Officer, Southern Railway, enclosing details on the non availability of Battery car to aged persons. The denial was made to me on19-9-15 while the Battery car driver was collecting hefty unauthorised charges from some other passengers. I had enclosed copies of the Press cuttings dt18-9-15&19-9-15 of thew Hindu and the Dinamalar.I had also sent a complaint about the forced collection of Parking charges, by the Fees collector, for the OLA cab which just came to pick me up and not parked in the Parking Area. My strong complaint with supporting documents, has not at all been acknowledged, leave alone taking action. This attitude is shocking and distressing. If I do not get the basic courtesy of sending an acknowledgement, I have no other option but to approach the Chairman o theRailway board, enclosing all relevent documents

Dear Sir, I commute through the suburban train from Avadi to Velachery that starts at 7:40 am from Avadi. The scheduled arrival time of the train at Thiruvanmiyur is 9:05 am. However, never since I traveled did the train reach at the this time. There is a standard wait of 10 min at Beach station. The train reaches Thiruvanmiyur at 9:20 am or later (minimum of 15 min delay from schedule). i thought the purpose of this direct train was to help office goers, which apparently, is defeated. Requesting you to take required action to keep time or modify the schedule indicated in time table across board. Regards, Aravind

                  Dear Sir

I am one of the passenger traveling in the train between chromepet to Maraimalainagar in the morning 8.40 am train at Tambaram. With me lot of IT and Bank, staff, Government Teachers, students and Pvt Company employees. This is the one train lot of people travelling because 8.45 am to 9.30 am it will reach in between station so that we are able to maintain our office timings. If we miss the train we have to wait another ½ hour. That train timing at Tambaram is 9.20 am and that also lot of time will come late. So we request you increase the frequency of the train in the morning. I got the letter from your department that you are going to send one train in between 8.40 am and 9.20 am. But till now there is no train in that time.

Then we want to tell 2 more things one is please send only 3 seated train for ladies not 2 seat we are not able to stand also. If 2 seat trains come its full in kodambakkam or Mambalam. There is no seats for the passengers who is getting after. If you send 3 seated train in all ladies compartment it will be helpful for us. 2nd thing is in the ladies compartment lot of ladies standing near the door itself. So we are not able to get in to the train some time lot of people missing the train even if they are in the station due to people are standing in the way. Every day it is difficult for us to get in and get down in the train. So we request you to send lady RPF in the ladies compartment for few days.

Please take immediate action for the complains.

                  Thanking you
                  Kalpana Ramesh

I was travelling from CBE to SBC on 13th July 2015 by Train 12625 Island Exp by 2A. When the train reached Whitefield the Coach attendants started demanding tips from passengers and scowled at some who did not oblige. This is a new practice creeping in in this region. I have experienced this in Rajdhani Expresses about which I have lodged complaints earlier. This practice should be curbed early before this spreads to other trains in the region.

I had booked tickets for my children on train no 12431 for travelling from Kollam [QLN] to H.Nizamuddin [NZM] on 28th May, 2015. The PNR No for the ticket was [protected]. I was informed by railways through official SMS at 8.15 pm from IRCTC that the above train has been cancelled. Thus we had to cancel our journey. But strangely at 2.58 am the next morning I get an SMS from railways again through IRCTC stating that the above train has been running on its scheduled time and that the previous message needs to be ignored. Misleading the public with wrong information amounts to cheating and hence i feel railways needs to not only refund my entire ticket money but also adequately compensate for the agony we went through.

Hi Team, There are around more than 10, 000 passengers use Minjur railway station commuting to Chennai. Station Platform is completely messed up and it is being cleaned only once in a week. There is not even a single dustbin to throw garbages in station platform. On top of this, People are urinating the surroundings and it is very difficult to pass by the area and to reach the Main road from station platform. Request you to sort out below issues 1) Need announcements daily without any fail on electric train delay timings. 2) Station platform should be cleaned atleast thrice a day to ensure cleanliness. 3) Need Toilet to be functioned from early morning to late evening. 4) Place garbage bin in all 3 platforms. 5) Impose fine on people who urinates or litter in and around the platform. I believe in Swachh Rail - Swachh Bharat programme. Thanks in advance. Regards, Common Man dreaming Clean India

Sir/Madam, Rail journey makes journey easy particularly metropolitan cities like Chennai, unit MRTS are doing great job in daily life. Recently a new train was introduced in Chennai beach to Velachery route. In the new train people, particularly educated people are the one doing scribbling/spoiling the public property by writing their names, drawing, numbers and throwing edible items, waste everything inside the compartment etc. In the time of talking about Clean India, everyone should keep the public properties clean. Indian Railways should take strict action against the people who involve in these kind of activities and charge fine.

Hi Sir/Madam, This is always a painful experience near BNC junction station. The place called Thodi has a railway bridge over the National highway. Every day one or the other trains halt on this bridge for crossing. This bridge tracks are uncovered from National highway; means train toilet outlets are directly focusing to the National highway when there is a train halt. So, Please protect we passengers travel in road...

The train from chengalpattu to beach in the morning hours are always too late. And also they changed the train fast in to local. Due to this the peoples and college students can not go with their timings. Even some attendance for private company employees. Please take necessary action to ensure the trains are operating correct timings and prevent to change the train fast in to local.
