I am suggest to the indian rail ways why are you sell the more tickets no place to the general compartments please provide extra compartment i resques you to please travel the general compartment you higher officials, cm, pm, rail way ministers please sir please travel one hour sir why are you take the care of general passengers in case no place to the general compartment passenger was put into the regervation compartment well tc was comming collect the 50 to 100 rupees these probles are not known to you all the people are indians sir please take care sir dont sell the extra general tickets sir i suggest to the please provide the extra compartment sir every compartment is 90 seat for exmpel 90*100 is collect the amt 9000 at the same time general people was taravel the 200 to 250 *50 collect the 10000 sir why are you these problems was not received sir please sir i rquest you to my suggestion was take sir

    The train from chengalpattu to beach in the morning hours are always too late. And also they changed the train fast in to local. Due to this the peoples and college students can not go with their timings. Even some attendance for private company employees. Please take necessary action to ensure the trains are operating correct timings and prevent to change the train fast in to local.

    Chengalpattu to Chennai beach train is always coming early at our Singaperumal koil stop. There are 2 local trains available at the time of 11:40 am and 11:55 am. But 11: 40 am local train is coming late by 11:50 am. And 11:55 local train is coming early by 11:53 am instead of 11:55 am. Station master is not giving proper response and not giving announcement for train delay always. I kindly request to take action about this.

      Dear Sir, We are first class passengers and daily we use to travel by the Arakkonam - Chennai Fast train (43408) by 6.53 am from Thiruvalangadu ( TO) to chennai central (MMC). We are not able to even board the train because of the heavy crowd in the first class compartment. And Compartments are very small, only 24 seats are avilable. Almost all the seats are occupied by the Railway staff without any pass / valid ticket. Not only railway staff lot of common public also traveling on the First class compartment without valid ticket. I am sure that almost 60% of the passengers who are travelling in the first class are either without valid tickets or without valid pass. Past 6 month I have never experienced the Ticket checking in the morning time ( Arakkonam - Chennai Fast train (43408) by 6.53) and in the evening after thirunindravur (TI) there no ticket checking. In the same time Beach to Tambaram side there is no problem at- all... I use to travel up to Guindy. in this route ticket checking is happening regularly...       Dear Sir / Madam,

      I do not think this complaint has been taken seriously by respective team in SR. Why should general public who pay 4 times extra than general class ticket suffer for this kind o[censored]nauthorised travellers occupying First Class.
      This problem still exists in Arakonam - Central, Thiruvallur - Central, Thirutani - Central routes trains.

      But I've noticed Chennai - Tambaram route has proper checking but not here, are you afraid of these people even you have railway police forces!
      Request your kind attention to resolve this issue.

        Sir, i was having valid ticket[protected] qly pass from beach to palavanthngal vts cip4b1z2ms id cgovt/id valid from 23/8/14/ to 22/11/14 and previous ticket[protected] id coboa5jif8 upto 22/8/14 but the tt at nungambakkam forcibly asked to pay excess fare of rs 260 or sit at station . As i had to take care of my wife who was to be taken to doctor could not immediately produce the ticket[protected] at about 6.30 to 7 pm. Please immediately reimburse rs 260/- taken by tt at nungambakkam railway station vide ticket no ak 0838564 and he was behaving very harshly. I shall approach court of law if i am not refunded the excess fare of rs 260/-

          Dear sir, My name is Anand Asir. My usual commuting will be between arakkonam and velacherry. Because of over crowd I have taken first class super fast season. Today[protected] I was traveling in Mangalore super fast express(12601) from chennai central. I went inside and asked politely to the reserved passengers to permit me to sit in the seat. Since there were only three persons in that room they allowed me to sit in the remaining person's seat. When TTE came he asked me and I said to him about my season ticket details and my commuting to arakkonam. But he replied that it is only belongs to reserved passengers and I want to go to unreserved first class in the same train. I wondered as a TTE how he was not aware that there is only reserved first class in the super fast trains. In some of the express trains nowadays these compartments are getting removed and without having any other option we are forced to travel in sleeper coaches. I don't like to argue more so I came out as he told. My question is this sir that is there any specific unreserved first class in super fast express trains? If not means why they are not allowing us to travel in the same compartment if it is having some seats unoccupied? We paid rs.2275 for getting the super fast first class season. There is also a normal first class ticket to travel in ordinary EMU trains but then what is the meaning of getting this super fast first class season? Southern railway can stop issuing these tickets. I kindly request you to look into the above issue sir so that it will be helpful for all the season ticket holders. Looking forward for your reply sir.

            Dear sir,
            I have parked my 2 wheeler in railway allotted paid parking area.(Railway dept allotted to contrator).Same was got lost with in the parking area.I have put the tooken for the same.


            Same was i went and complaint in perambur station railway police.But the are not receiving the complint, also they told me that not comming under our control.
            After that i went to state police, there are also told that is not comming there control.Because that under the boundry of southern railway board place.


            Please advise me where to give complaint.If the not receive what i have to do.

              From morning 7.40 am when train departed no ttrt entered to check the ticket

              Now in trichy at 01.15 pm one ttr got enter to check the ticket with very rude behavior,

              Talking very loud, not listening of passenger.

              He is showing ego problem with passanger

              I want to do complaint against the same ttrt

              Kindly take strict action against him.

                  I am a senior citizen living beside the track. Our home is on Pachaiappa's Hostel road between Nongambakkam and Chetpet stations on the Egmore line. Every morning the uneducated train driver sits on the horn at 4 am to wake up every one. This morning he sadistically blew the horn non stop for 5 minutes waking up the patients in Padmini hospital, residents of PCHostel road including babies. Noise pollution is as bad a pollutant as garbage. I am surprised that drivers who have to be educated continue to do this. Would you please take remedial action and put us out of our misery.                     Dear Sir/Madam, I'm travelling from washermenpet to Beach station daily in the morning. I could see that the train is not reaching to washermenpet in time. Often it was late for 10min. And also train got stopped in beach station signal for 5min. I never reached beach station within 15 minutes of time even the distance is 3km. Engine driver at the tail end making horn before all passengers board the train. Please look into the issue and save the time of all passengers. Thank you, Iniya kumar.L

                        Team, I travelled thru this Pinakini Express ( Chennai to Vijayawada) and Jan shathbdhi express ( vijayawada to Chennai), . In these trains there is no difference between reserved and unreserved coaches. Anybody can board any coach. The TTR is also not concerned about this violation. I have made SMS complaint to the railways but no one has helped me. This practice is there for decades and the authorities also aware of it. My SMS complaint reference numbers[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected], 4201,[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected]. All registered thru my mobile number [protected]. I work for a corporate world along with 95000 employees and felt ashamed of these facilities in our public transport system. But we talk big numbers and big ideas the reality is stinking toilets and broken furniture. Pl allow the reserved passengers to travel peacefully with hygiene atmosphere

                            On a fairly long tour of South India with my family, I travelled from Rameswaram to Cape Kanyakumari on a Tatkal ticket as the tickets I have booked earlier online were wait-listed. Even after producing the Tatkal ticket and the coloured photo identification, I was charged by the ticket examiner on the train with Rs.1, 755/- on the plea that it was a ticket-less travel I was undertaking since the original Id proof was not produced. Please go through my points of contention and be kind towards the genuine concerns of a honest tax payer. I had to cut short our long tour and return home for want of finances. 1. If no Id proof in original is produced, I can understand the levy of penalty. But, collecting the ticket fare again (once while booking the Tatkal ticket and again by the Examiner) is unjust and contentious. 2. Why should I forego about a thousand and half rupees just for not showing the original Id proof? I was not travelling without any Id. In fact, the coloured xerox of the driving licence (a copy of which was pinned to the Tatkal application at the time of booking) was produced for verification to show that I was not an imposter or fraudster. 3. The ticket examiner conveniently wrote 'no id proof' in stead of writing 'no original id'. He was also rude and sarcastic, passing unnecessary comments in front of my family and other co-passengers. The Railways may do well to show some respect at least to the senior citizens of this nation. 4. If there is a rule that the ticket fare should be collected twice for a single journey, then that rule is draconian. Levying penalty for not showing the original Id is okay but still contentious. But collecting the fare twice is atrocious. 5. The rules are being framed to curtail the agents/brokers, which is laudable. But still the nexus continues and rules are circumvented by some unethical employees and these brokers/agents. In the process, genuine passengers are harassed and put to untold suffering. 6. The Examiner could have shown a little discretion as regards the genuineness instead of slapping a heavy penalty including the ticket-fare for a second time. 7. I request you to consider my case and order the railways to refund the excess fare collected.

                              My wife who travelled alone in the 2 tier AC coach in Sabari Express on 16/10/2013 had the following experience, which in her own words is as follows: Dear Sir, " I have travelled in Second AC from Trivandrum Central to Tirupati on 16th instant and would like to narrate my travelling experience. An ex-state minister, who boarded the train at TVMCentral, was accorded royal welcome and comforted to no end by the staff on duty. The TTE, the AC coach attendant and some other staff were falling head over heals in trying to please the VIP to the chagrin of other travellers. The bed linen was given to me (that too a pillow without pillow case) after 10 hours of journey whereas this VIP was provided with everything in doubles soon after getting into the train. Being a patient myself, I had to keep pleading for bed sheets, a rug and a pillow. Your staff were so busy with the VIP that other ticket-buying passengers probably seemed like termites to them. This brazen show of sycophancy by a public servant while on duty to the political bosses is nauseating and must be dealt with sternly. Although I do not expect an overnight change in this kind of attitude, as it is an individual's trait, please ask the railway staff to be courteous and show concern for other passengers too at the same time."

                                we three are going to Alappuzha by boarding Alleppey Express on[protected] in S1 coach Berth 37,67,70...We could not sleep
                                because of Bugs bite & insects bite. similarly on return from Alappuzha we boarded the train on[protected]..similar bugs bite
                                and therefore we suffered a lot in both ways.Retun coach no S4..40,42, 46..I do not know why this is repeated . I took treatment
                                in CGHS Hospital Gopalapuram Chennai-86..and I was given colomin location and allergy tablets. Shall I go to consumer Forum..
                                for deficiency in services.The TTE told us, his responcibility is just to check the tickets and not for the comfort of the passengers

                                  On 4th june 2013 by 22.45 there is only one ticket vending lady employee at chennai egmore local railway ticket counter has no manners to speak to the public. She is not providing the ticket bcz she needs exact change. I gave 50 rupees and the ticket cost is 15 rupees and she is not ready to give me a ticket and she is speaking rudely.she doesn't have manners to behave to public.

                                    I had reserved a ticket for 3352 Dhanbad exp.
                                    from CHENNAI CENTRAL to TENALI FOR[protected] for

                                    As on that day the train is running late for more
                                    than 3 hours I cancelled my program and as the time
                                    was already 23.[protected] I had gone to home.

                                    Then on the next day morning[protected] at 09.47
                                    I approached the reservation counter at chennai central
                                    and asked them for FULL REFUND as the train was late
                                    for more than 3 hours but the booking clerk replied me
                                    that the rule is "train should be late for more than 4 hours"
                                    and despite my repeated request to verify the RULE
                                    he paid me only 50% of the amount by CANCELLATION

                                    As the Rule is "FULL REFUND IF THE TRAIN IS LATE

                                      Travelling in Venad Express -16301,D1 coach(only available reservation coach) is a night mare. I am a frequent traveller in this reservation compartment. Here Ticket examiner never turns up for checking as he is very comfortable sitting cool in adjacent AC compartment. All hooligans languish in this compartment because everyone knows TT would never come to this compartment. So anyone with reservation is not in a position to reach his seat because of the heavy crowd o[censored]nreserved passengers. Even Railway police is pretty comfortable & happy in the adjacent heavily loaded Ladies compartment.

                                      Indian Railway charges an additional reservation charge for ensuring a seat. But due to unavailability of TTE, we need to fight & argue with unreserved passengers for the reservation seat.
                                      Expecting a favorable response from great Indian Railways.

                                        The Divisional Commercial authorities of Madras Division, Southern Railways have engaged TRIPLICANE RATNA CAFE as one of the fast food outlet at Chennai Central railway station. Recently I had been to this outlet to buy tiffin i.e. idli and medu vada. Per parcel of 2 Nos. idli costs Rs.30/- @ Rs.15/- each and cost of 1 No. vada at the rate of Rs.25/-. Rates of both the items at the weights that they supply is uunrealistic, unreasonable and beyond imagination of a common railway passenger. Certainly these rates you can see only in Star hotels not in a common places like railway stations, bus stands, etc. Parcel was packed with a tissue paper, a plastic spoon and sambar but no chutney in a carry bag. Both idli and vada are not even having normal size. My thought about the rates of these items came only after getting into the train. Certainly rates of other items like dosa, pongal, etc. would be sky high. To compare, IRCTC's rate on train is Rs.25/- for 2 Nos. idlis and a vada with chutney and sambar, masala dosa is Rs.20/- per dosa,etc. Of course, quality of items by Ratna Cafe was superb whereas IRCTC's is good but more than sufficient for a train traveller.

                                        I wonder whether Railway authorities, while deciding on awarding contract, take into account the rates of eatable also. Railways should mind that the travelling public are not just from the high strata of the society but majority of them are from below that category and below poverty line also. Railways by not worrying about such aspects before engaging them on contract are riding on the gullible travelling public. It is my demand with the Commercial authories of Madras Division to relook into the rates of Ratna Cafe and go for revision before the subject blows into disproportionate levels by the local consumer organisations, to whom I wanted to write about not only about Ratna Cafe but also other fast food outlets of 'big names' having disproportionate rates.

                                        I would like to inform you that I have been made as a member in the Divisional Rail Users Consultative Committee, Bangalore division, South Western Railways, which has been reconstituted only on 1st March 2013.
