The following complaint was registered regarding lost baggage to spicejet customer relations: Lost Baggage Claim - PNR ICI4UX Kanika Gakhar <kanika.[protected]@gmail.com> Sun, Apr 27, 2014 at 12:57 PM To: [protected]@spicejet.com Hi, This is regarding our lost baggage which was reported by us to the spicejet airport authorities in Pune last Sunday (20 April 2014). We were travelling with 4 luggage bags all of them checked in Delhi Domestic airport, but only 3 of them were handed over to us. After notifying to the authorities we were informed that due to some mishandling they were unable to track it and filled up a Baggage Irregularity Report claiming that our luggage will be returned to us in a few days. Now its been over a week and there has been no news of it yet. We are repeatedly trying to follow this up and are even getting calls from customer care but to no avail. Nothing concrete has turned up yet which clearly highlights gross incompetence on you part. This is sad because the reason for mishandling that was given was stated as "Due to the size and weight of the baggage it may have been misplaced". This is totally bollocks as weight of the baggage has nothing to do with its value. A small item can also be highly precious. I am hence asking you to please raise a claim for my lost baggage. The estimated value of the baggage was around Rs. 7000. Failure to bring a complete resolution to this case may force us to escalate this issue to the concerned authority/department. Do keep in mind that we very much have the right to speech and freedom to express it to others and negative feed-backs are always viral. Update on 5 May 2014: After repeated follow ups, customer relations of spicejet has failed to track the baggage. They have replied that they haven't been able to track the baggage from source station (Delhi only); indicating that this is clear case of theft and gross incompetence on part of spicejet staff. They have been giving stupid justifications like baggage was small, could have been moved to cargo, was small so not valuable, etc. Along this stupidity now they want to close this case giving a measly claim of Rs. 200 per kg. Similar cases have also been registered by my acquaintances as well, and if no strong action can be taken against this, then at least I will make sure none of my acquaintances fly with spicejet in foreseeable future.

    Non working of the portal

    I, Vishal Kapoor having PNR number K2KBUY am trying to change my travel date from the 12th May to 15th May with the flight timing of 7.25am. However, the portal is not taking any changes for more than 2 days and their customer service is also of no help as they keep putting the call on hold without providing any solution. The price difference has increased by Rs2500/- today and now I have to pay Rs7800/- extra. I am no longer able to book...

    TO, authority I Dr.Kartikaya Gupta on 1 may 2014 had a flight SG 45 at 15;50.I took boarding pass from spicejet counter and moved towards the gate no 8 at terminal 3.in front of me staff member of spice jet Mr.GAUTAM MEHTA impulsivly ordered to close the door and told me that time is over and now i had no door appearance with that he send me out of airport .instead of giving reassurance he started abusing me verbally.he also told me to go out silently when i asked him refund for my ticket as i payed 11, 621 INR.         Hi everyone

        I would like to add some comments on Spicejet. I travelled to Calcutta on 23 April, 2014 via SG-819. After the doors closed I found that the front row was UNOCCUPIED. I requested the purser to let me sit there as I was jammed in my seat. He said that I would have to pay him Rs. 500/- for that. Company Policy !
        In other words, Company Policy states that LET THE SEATS REMAIN EMPTY..., BUT TO HELL WITH THE CUSTOMERS !

        When I was returning from Calcutta on 27 April, 2014, the AC was OFF while taxing and before takeoff. This is obviously to save fuel, inspite of charging us FUEL CHARGES AND PASSENGER CONVENIENCE FEE. Again the attitude was TO HELL WITH THE CUSTOMERS ! My seat would not recline, but the one in front did, so I was JAMMED TOTALLY. The hostess was "helpless" !

        SpiceJet will LOSE CUSTOMERS AND SHUT DOWN at this rate. As for me this is the first and LAST time that I am flying Spicejet. They need to check out Indigo policy as well as international airlines like EasyJet etc.

          Dear Sir/madam,
          I booked Spice jet flight through Makemytrip from Jaipur to Delhi for[protected] at 10:10 PM. I reached airport at 08:30 PM on[protected] and it was found that the flight was cancelled. Immediately i contacted Spicejet customer care and they informed that the flight is rescheduled and they allow me to travel by their next day flight. It is surprised that the rescheduled intimation was not sent to me by sms or email.

          Due to this I lost my one working day in office and spend additional one day hotel chrages (as i am belong to Noida) + local transport from hotel to airport and airpot to hotel.

          I will be highly glad if you kindly help to get reimburse of my additional expense including my one day leave due to Spice jet fault.

          Hi,

          I had booked a flight from Pune to Chennai on 25th of June and my PNR no is LCGH9H. The flight was supposed to depart at 23:00 hours.

          To my surprise you have advanced the flight and I never got a intimation.

          I had to book another flight by paying 6700, I here by request you to reimburse my ticket fare and also give the refund of Spicejet ticket.

            We had confirmed booking in Flight #SG3301on 21st April 2014 at 6:15. We were travelling from Colombo to Bangalore via Chennai-21st April 2014and we had confirmed booking in connecting Flight #SG3301on 21st April 2014 at 6:15 at Chennai airport. We reached counter at 5:30 a.m (45 min before departure) but the Spicejet employee did not allowed us to board the flight saying counter close. This was the first trouble he created while having sufficient time he did not allowed us to proceed for boarding. Latter we agreed on going with next flight at 7:30a.m. Again the same person has created second problem for check-in bag. He didn't took our small bag to the 7:30a.m flight & forcing us to leave the bag & board the flight. Again he was having sufficient time to load the baggage but he did not helped & told us it will come in next flight scheduled at 10:20a.m arrival at Bangalore. At last moment we left the bag after clearing the security. After all this we landing at Bangalore & waited for 10:20a.m flight but the baggage didn't arrived. We are still waiting in bangalore airport with the hope to get bag in next flight but still there is no confirmation from any of the Spicejet employee. Please take appropriate action against the employee at Chennai airport-2 supervisors on duty in morning shift around 5:30 a.m on 21st April 2014, as they are not doing their duty & also saying that its not their responsibility. I need my bag urgently as it has official document to be submitted.

              Ref : PNR No. TCSC4H Dated[protected] As per the above P N R, I had booked a ticket from Kochi to Ahmedabad and back on 14th April 2014 and 18th June 2014 respectively. My programs were scheduled accordingly and I was suppose to join for my internship at Ahmedabad on 15th April 2014 morning. Fortunately when I checked my P N R status on 15th March 2014 I have come to know that you have rescheduled your flight timing of 14th April 2014 to 09.40 a.m. from Kochi instead of 06.35 p.m. and this was not informed me also. I have got your S M S only on 21st March 2014. If I travel to Ahmedabed according to your new schedule (09.40 a.m.) I will lose my class on 14th April 2014 which is very important. So that I was forced reschedule my journey according to the new P N R only because of your mistake. You may kindly note that as per your new Air Ticket you have charged Rs. 3, 900/- (Rupees Three Thousand AND Nine Hundred Only) as Change/Cancellation Charge. But I really regret to say that it’s not fare to charge Rs. 3, 900/- from me for your mistake. Hence I would request you to kindly refund me the difference of Rs. 3, 900/- at the earliest. Otherwise I will be forced to take further steps to get the refund. Your early action in this matter will be highly appreciated and looking forward to hear from you soon.                 Sir, We were the passengers of Flight No. SG916 from Chennai-Hyderabad-Ahmedabad. When we got our baggages we found our baggages damaged. We saw a person of Spicejet overthere. We talked with him and told him about the baggages danaged. He called Mr. Nainesh there. When we told him about the baggages damaged, he rudely behaved with us and told us that the airline is not responsible for this type of danage and said that you can do anything you want. His behavioor was extremely rude and another person standing with him said sorry on behalf f Nainesh. But Nainesh told that you can raise complaint against me.                   hi..This is nitesh patel.I had travel from Ahmedabad to Delhi on 9th of April, 2014 with spice jet.my PNR is BDS4KR. i got couple of bags with me. On boarding counter i put my luggage on scale, that show me 30.5 kg. which is 15 kg excesss.i was shock but still i had paid 3750 INR for excess baggage. When i came back from delhi with Indigo airline on 11th april 2014, follow with the same that scale show me 26.6 Kg with the same luggage. and even after that they adjust my total excess luggage with my hand baggage and told me to pay only for 4kg. i found huge difference with two difference flights. pls note it down and chechk all the baggage scale for spice jet

                    I, dharmvir singh, working in central industrial security force (Ministry of home affairs) and holding the rank of asstt. Commandant wish to state that, i had booked an air ticket from surat to delhi on 10th march 2014 in spicejet which detals are below:-

                    I have paid an amount of rs. 5391/- through sbi internet banking vide reference no: msbi[protected]igr8299625 which transfered to[protected] for booking of above ticket.

                    But due to some reason, i cancelled my above booked ticket on the same day and i have received a hard out in which incirbe in the amount paid coloumn is only rs. 1600/-. Till date i have not received any amount from your esteemed airline towards the above cancelled ticket into my bank account credit.
                    Hence, kindly look into the matter and do the needful for refund of amount towards the above cancelled ticket. A line of confirmation in this regard is awaited.

                      My mother was planning to travel from Mumbai to dehradun on 12/04/13 on Spicejet Flight no 9W-307 (PNR no - YJJYGJ). As the flight was scheduled at 11:00am from Mumbai airport, she reached the airport Terminal IB at 8:30 am. She had checked in, got the boarding pass and also underwent the security check up and was waiting outside Gate no A5. However there was no announcement as whether the flight boarding has been started or so. My mother then finally approached the Spicejet counter around 10:45 am when she was informed that the flight boarding gate has been closed and the flight has already taken off. However she received her baggage back in about 20 mins. My complaint is that why was my mother even after check in and security check not called for boarding. For what purpose are the passengers providing their contact numbers to the airline. I can understand if someone misses the flight due to late arrival at the airport. But in this case when Spicejet knows that the passenger has checked in, why cannot the flight operator call the passenger and ask her to report at the gate counter for boarding? And even after all this, we all know the luggage goes with the same flight. So if the flight has already taken off (as they told my mother); how did they retrieve the luggage in 20 mins. And in case the flight had still not taken off, this means they could afford to remove a passenger's baggage instead of arranging to make the passenger get the flight. So these are my main complaints: 1) Why was she not contacted when they already know the passenger has got the boarding pass? 2) What purpose is mobile number provided by the passenger to the airline? 3) If the flight had already taken off, how did they retrieve the baggage? 4) In case not taken off, why could'nt they make arrangements for the passenger to get seated in the aircraft instead of removing her baggage?

                        Airlines like SPICEJET has really made air travel very cumbersome & crude.

                        I had booked a flight on 17/02/14, for my travel from Jaipur to Guwahati on 06/04/14, and I was booked in Flight no. SG 526, via Kolkata, the flight was supposed to start from Jaipur at 1415 hrs and reach Guwahati at 1815 hrs.

                        SPICEJET suddenly launched a summer schedule of theirs on 18/03/14 and cancelled the above flight. Now the flight was to start Jaipur at 925 hrs vide flight SG 2624 and reach delhi at 1030 hrs and then again start from Delhi at 1440 hrs and reach Guwahati at 1705 hrs vide flight SG893.

                        The Airlines Staff was completely shameless as to the problems caused by them to their socalled valued Customers, they even failed to apologise for their sudden change of schedule. I don’t understand as to why these airlines are playing with people and doing whatever they feel like without any sort of accountability on their part.

                        I and all my other Fellow Traveller really faced a lot of Mental Harressment and the Airlines was completely unaffected.

                          My ticket was not booked, even though my bank account was debited as per the following reference : BIL/[protected]/Air ticket/SPICEJET_MICI33 Rs 4, 070.00 was deducted from my bank account. I had booked ticket for journey between Hyd to Kolkata and back for dates 05july and 10july respectively on 3rd Apr. Please confirm my ticket or else return my money.

                            Not refunding money after promise

                            My travel was by spice jet flight SG 532 to Mumbai and flight SG 206 from Mumbai to Chennai
                            Flight got delayed since they couldn't take off from chandigarh due to size of flight and runway problem.
                            Since my flight in Mumbai will be missed, Spice Jet staff from Chandigarh airport confirmed a 50% refund of fare and a free ticket from New Delhi to Chennai the next day.

                            Today on dated 01.04.14 i had tried to book online ticket from spice jet official website but unfortunately ticket didn't book but amount Rs. 936/ deducted from my SBI bank account. Details of my transaction is as follows. Transaction reference no. IGS 6515663 for 936/-Rs. on 01.04.14, Transfer to[protected] INB SPICEJET LTD. Therefore it is requested that kindly refund my 936/- Rs. in my SBI Account as early as possible. thanks

                                I was travel from Dubai to Madurai on 25th Feb2014.Aat the time boarding i was asked to put my hand luggage along with my 2 baggage while getting boarding pass ... I have given my hand luggage (blue colour bag) to send with other luggage and I have collected the boarding pass and travel but I didn't check the package slip for the number package they mentioned .                                   PNR No:NZTIXB. Booking done on 14/02/14. for Mumbai to Cheenai for Travel on 23/04/14 at 11.10am. as the timing of the flight was convenient to me. I now receive a message that my flight rescheduled to Flight SG 291 leavimg Mumbai at 6.05am. My Complaint: 1} First of all this has been done without my permission. 2} If a summer schedule was to be in place Why the Hell Tickets were booked for this flight leaving at 11.10am. 3} Flight timing is very inconvenient at that odd hour.Hence i will not be able to travel on the new scheduled flight nor any other flights of spicejet scheduled for that day.. My Request is to endorse my ticket to another Airline which has a flight at 11.25am so that I can reach my appointment at chennai at 3.00pm.. I am not interested in refund as booking a new ticket would cost me xtra money & since i have made advance payment to save on fare it would be the duty of airline to sort out the matter without taxing me & putting a customer to inconvenience.

                                    I thought that Spice jet is a good airline but I have never been this wrong!!...Every customer book a flight because they have an urgency and it is their need..I have booked a flight on 4th April 2014 and today I received a message from spice jet.. It was said that they changed their time schedule and my booking has cancelled and I should re book for an alternative flight..i am really unsatisfied with spice jet ..I WOULD NEVER BOOK A FLIGHT IN SPICEJET..Strict actions should be taken ..
