My MasterCard credit card issued by Standarad Chartered bank in 1996 has been blocked abruptly around April this year. Repeated emails and telephonic conversations have yielded no result. Am being promised that the card will be set right soon. Kindly advise. have all the email corresspondenec and details of IVR communication to back up my case.

    Standard charted credit card department had taken Rs.1000/- against Rs.100/- (which late fee wrongly billed in my name even i paid full payment) they write my name as written off / statemented on CIBIL.
    i was paid this amount against Rs.100/- so it is ten time more even thew they write my name as result i am unable to take loan car loan from nationalized bank now same thing is happening in my home loan.
    standard charted executive harasser me through telephone at my mobile and residence so from this type of harassment i suffer. and i want to free this typy of harassment so i paid Rs.1000/- now they are not giving back my money and make my name in cibil so it can say that they are blackmailing through cibil.
    i request you to help me to revert my money which i paid and do need full delete my name from cibil.

      It has been identified that standard chartered credit card [protected] was issued to me and currently it is showing some outstanding amount (Rs 20000+) on this card. As per my knowledge I haven’t swapped this card for single time also and this card is already expired in 2008. In Oct 2006 i had received single statement having Experience Life Style charges 99 + 12.12 = 111.12, but after that I haven’t received any email statement or phone call from standard chartered bank or statement at by residence regarding by outstanding amount on this card. (Residence , Phone No or Email id is same).

      After knowing about this in CIBIL report (while taking housing loan) I had also raised the query to card.[protected]@sc.com on 3rd August, 2012 for which I have received auto response having no as Ref No: 08/12/008496 mentioning that bank will response back in 7 working days but till now bank hasn’t send me any details of statement to me.

      On Aug 23, 2012 i have raised this query to head.[protected]@sc.com but till now can't receive any reply from bank.

      I have ask for statement right from bank has issued me the card till date, but nobody is responding from their side and showing interest in closing this issue.

      Due to this my home loan is in pending state.

      Please help me.

        was a customer of the SCB Credit Card since 5 years and also i am account holder for the same bank.
        I was relocated to Banglore from kolkata, i requested for adress change. I have sent request form duly signed by me to chennai customer care office.
        and i have writen 5 mails to customer care (Card.[protected]@sc.com, Head.[protected]@sc.com) center , there is no reply from them.

          There was available balance amount Rs. 13546.00 INR in my Standard & Chartered bank savings account no: [protected] on 26th APR 2012,
          but the bank has withdrawn the Rs. 9734.00 INR from my account without my permission and any information given to me. it is a serious matter for bank customers and a fraud issue too, please investigate the issue and help me as soon as possible.

            Dear Team,

            I am holding Standard chartered bank credit card ([protected]) from 26-June-2012. I am facing two major problem with this credit card and nobody is responding properly with right information.

            Problem 1:- I am unable to create internet banking id for this credit card reason is that during onine registation I am not receiving temporary password on my registered mobile number-[protected]. I also raised call to customer care so many times but they are not resolving the issue everytime says they send the temp password on my mobile and i will receive with in 24 hours but till now after 2 months I haven't received. This is mentally harassment because i am trying on daily basis nothing happened only time wasted by giving poor response to customer and issue is not resolved.

            Problem 2:- I received a call after receiving this credit card regarding insurance plan with this credit card that time i was said yes and they given it to me but after thinking too much I feel it is not ok for me and i can't utilize this plan so i requested to cancel it so many times but they are saying it will not cancel and i will have to pay all premium ( 1st month- 854 and after that 360 per month for next 11 months) after so many request they told me they will cancel only after return back the insurance kit (CEP kit). Now I returned the kit but now they are saying they can't cancel even I returned the kit. I already paid 1 premium 854 Rs because customer care said i need to pay it to avoid to pay interest on that and after cancellation they will refund Please help me I don't want to pay 360 per month and don't want to retain it.

            Problem 3:- After 2 months i haven't received credit card PIN number.

            Please help me out. I will really thankful to you because i am so much frustrated with this type of poor service and behavior.

                Its been 6 yrs, I have stopped using the Standard Chartered Credit card, but still today I receive calls from them regarding clearing of payment of 19000/-. All the amount related to any purchases were cleared. But still don't know what they want from me.
                They want me discuss settlement with them for the money which I have not spent.

                  After getting this Card, frequent telecalls received from the banks offering various products . While I accepted one such offer for a year but on expiry of the validity of the Product, the bank has automatically renewed it without my confirmation and debited my Card Account. I contacted Customer care and requested for Cancellation of the card and as a preclosure paid the entire amount due as per following details

                    I have a Standard charted credit card and I got charged for Rs500 overlimit. The assumption is that credit card will stop working after the limit crosses. What is the use of limit if anybody can over use it. If there is a value-added service like "Over draft" facility in banks, it should be with explicit permission of the customer and a silent transaction.

                    I called up customer care and explained my point of view but refused to reverse the amount for Rs 500. All my counter arguments of intimating the customer before allowing them to cross their limit did not go make sense to them. In my case I am asked to pay Rs500 overlimit for crossing the limit bt Rs 2234. I consider this as a pure case of cheating by Standard Chartered. I call it cheating, because it allowed me to cross the limit without informing me. They said that there is an SMS alert that can be activated to that I can get an SMS whenever I reach 95% of my limit, but this service is disabled by default. My question was "Why was this SMS service disabled by default?" Isn't this intentional cheating?

                    Secondly, I never agreed ever in any of my communication that I was ready to pay the over limit charge or approved of this service. Offering a service like this without explicit approval or signature from a customer should also be considered cheating, in my view.
                    My phone number is[protected]. This is for anyone from the Bank to reach me if they change their mind. I am going to pursue this until satisfied without canceling my card.

                      I had requested for the cancellation of my dining plus card once in the last week of June and second time on the 25th of july.

                      Kindly let me know the status of the same as my payment is due on 16th of August and it was promised that i would be refunded the complete amount once the cancellation request is processed.

                      When i had cancelled the dining card the first time in last week of june, i had also returned the complete kit that i got but after 2 or 3 days I got a call from a lady called Yogita from the concerned department saying that if i cancel the card now i will be charged for the cancellation(i.e rupees1700.00) as i have not got the complete kit and that i should wait for the complete kit to reach me before i can cancel it. she also promised me that i can cancel it till 2nd of August and will get a complete refund as well. I was also asked not to say or ask anything about that she had told me in the confirmation call that i got just after talking to this lady(Yogita), to which i complied.

                      Now when i did not get any kit or any response from your side i cancelled both the cards(the credit card and the dining card). I cancelled the dining card on 25th July 2012. After this i got a call from a lady named Sheetal(Probably Yogita's senior as she told me). She had a very different claims to make saying that, i cannot cancel the card now as its been done after one month from the date of issue and even if i cancel the dining card i wont get any refund. I told her what Yogita had told me(cancellation can be done till 2nd August), but she said no cancellation can be done after a month of the card issue. On top of that sheetal told me if you want to cancel it its fine but you wont get any refund. She was talking about the confirmation call that was done after Yogita's call in which i accepted all the terms and did not say if any other promises were made, on which i told her that i did not say anything negative in the call because Yogita had told me to do so.

                      I regret that I trusted Yogita and went on with the request, but after Sheetal's call i got another confirmation call where they retained me but after this i got in touch with the Standard chartered representative and she told me that all of these above claims were not true and there were no cancellation charges and an email was sent to one of your supervisors. I have called up multiple times but nobody is giving a clear reply whether i will get a refund or not.

                      Now i need the following things:

                      1) I do not want to talk to any of the dining plus card sales department staff, because they make fake promises.
                      2) I want a total refund of whatever money has been charged.
                      3) Need you to process the request at the earliest.

                      I had to cancel the card again on 16th August 2012 even after multiple calls to customer care where they had confirmed that the cancellation request is in process as per the 25th July call.

                      All of this is highly unprofessional on the part of the Standard Chartered bank partners especially dining plus card team.

                      I have paid 800 rupees as minimum due amount on 16th August 2012.

                        I received the statement of my credit card ([protected]) from the standard chartered bank for which i have done full n final settlement in the year 2003.
                        I have already paid the amount for this card in the year 2003. As per mail, received from the bank on 8 august, 2012 stating that the total outstanding on my card is 3,19,571.02 . I have the, NO DUE CERTIFICATE and the payment receipt , given to me from the bank’s side
                        For your assistance I am attaching The No Due Certificate and the Receipt given by the bank to me. As I can see in my banking records I have made full n final payment of rs 6,200 on[protected] and my card had no dues from that date in my records.
                        But as I can see the statements send by them. they have not updated the full n final payment of rs 6200 (cheque no: 979273 from vishal cement corporation dated on[protected] given by me to the bank.
                        I want to close two (2) of my loan accounts which I am running with standard chartered bank (loan a/c no: 48181757 &[protected]. I am very sorry to say I am trying since last three (3) months for closing my mentioned loan accounts. I have received the for closure letter for this but the bank says that I have to pay the outstanding amount on my credit card 3, 19,571.02 (For which I have already done the full n final settlement the year 2003).
                        I have also received a letter in writing from the bank that my documents will not ne released unless I pay this amount. (Copy of that letter is also attached)
                        This is a serious act of harassing your clients and indirectly black mailing. I have to pay the interest every month.
                        I request you to take immediate action on this as this has really become a serious problem for me.
                        And I also request the bank to remove my name, as my name is INCLUDED IN THE DEFAULTER LIST. THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER, WHICH AFFECTS my CREDIT WORTHINESS.
                        I am sending the scan copies of my no due certificate , bank statement from the year[protected] , bank statement specially for the month july,2003 august,2003 September 2003 and the receipt of the payment from the bank’s side

                          I got the Standard Charted Manhatten Credit Card in 2005 and since I never used the card in 2006 I called the customer care and cancelled the card. After that its been 5 years no one called or no correspondence nor no mail communication from the Bank. Now when I applied for a housing loan from HSBC, they got the CIBIL report in that it shows Rs22000 outstanding balance is showing against my name. when I saw it really I was shocked and now HSBC is saying till the balance is cleared we cannot provide you loan. Its been 12 days I am continuously following with the Standard charted bank sent multiple mails and called there customer care which is one o[censored]seless call center were in they told only one year statement they can give and they raised complaint also in there system and told within 3 working days from collections department the team will call and provide the details. But as expected no one called. Even the mail which I sent to card.[protected]@sc.com, no one replied its been more then 10 working days. Really wondering Standard charted Bank being a global bank is not able to retrieve a 7 years statement...

                          I am really worried and planning to take a legal action against the Bank if within 2 or 3 days if no call received.

                          Guys if you know any other alternative to get this issue sorted out pls suggest.

                            Dear sir,
                            Two and half month earlier i received a call from [protected] ( Rishi- [protected]) asking me that standard chartered bank offering me a credit card. I came in their talks and agreed for having a credit card of standard chartered bank. For that the bank asked me my salary slip, bank account statement, address proof, my ID card, 2 photos. I arrange them these documents and an executive came to my office to receive the documents. After few days a phone call came to me from same no. and told me that your address proof will not work so provide another address proof. I mailed my icici bank check book photocopy (address mentioned there), they again asked for another address proof. Then i mailed my health policy (address mentioned at policy) at stc.[protected]@gmail.com. They again asked that will not work. I asked that i have submitted all the address proof that a normal person can have and i can not provide more than that. Then they replied that we will manage with icici bank check book. After around one month a phone call came to me to know my address for verification. I told my address and a person visited my address, asked my family member some question about me. One day i received one sms on my phone that my credit is ready and will be dispatched soon. After 2-3 weeks of this sms one call came to me and asked that my card is ready but before delivery you will have to submit another set of same document. It has been around 2.5 months this process going but i could not receive my credit card yet. I do not know why these people asked me for so many address proof and my documents again. I have HDFC credit card but HDFC people did not require so many documents and provide me credit card within 15 days. I doubt that these people and bank are fraud. I suspect that these people are doing miss use of my documents. Please someone suggest me what should i do next sothat i could keep myself away from any lose from these people. I am really depressed because of this bank. Please someone help. I would be grateful.

                              This is to address you the issues I am facing in my credit held with Standard Chartered bank and would like to indicate the total mismanagement, miscommunication, trap,, wrong selling and lack of abitlity to resolve the issue.

                              I am holding platinium credit card withStancbank for last 4 years.

                              This issues has been already put across to the Stanc team but till now I have not recieved any solution from them.
                              Infact I have sent concern mails to the senior officers but they have not shown any courtesy to acknowledge my mails.

                              I was having smooth transaction with Stanc and I was not having any due until I accepted one Royal Sundaram Insurance offered by Stanc.
                              I have took this insurance by listening the encouraging words from the stanc executives , who have never came back to me once the they sold this product to me.
                              Subsequently I was issued another three policies because of the confusions and miscommunications by these executives.
                              Later I was shocked to see that there are lot of big debits in my account followed by some hidden charges.
                              It is really sad to see that they are breaking trust of a customer by doing such wrong selling and miscommunications.
                              I am requesting with Stanc from Feb 2012 to immediately cancel all the policies and reverse my all the charges levied in this card.
                              I told them to make my card zero so that I can start fresh transaction or to cancel the card at the earliest.
                              I have called and spoke to over 20 executives but everything gone vain.
                              Even most of this executives confessed that they are not clear about this transactions and they themself confused by my card transactions.
                              Atlast after months of consistent follow up I have recieved a mail fro stanc mentioning they have credited back the complete amount of 2 policies out of 4 policieswhich has debited from my card.
                              And they have credited a part of the third policy to my account eventhough it was clearly instructedby my side to credit the whole same account.
                              Apart from this they have not credited back the amount they have debited in the form of late payment fees, over due charges happened due to this policies.
                              They have communicated to me that they wont be able to reverse the late paymentdue compnay standard policies.
                              But this so called professionals are failing to understand this charges are caused by these policies and if the policy amount got revised then they should reverse this charges associated with this..
                              After given a detail education regarding this issue by me, they still are not able to figure out the real issue.
                              I am surprised to understand that even after I raised this issue with the Stanc nodal officer , I have not recieved any concrete solution.
                              Evrytime I get a call from new executives explaining new theory to me and will promise me to revert back to me but again no result.
                              The latest shocking reply I got with charges of above Rs.10,000/- and this is also without any proper calculations.
                              And most pathetic part is that this charges is against the policies which they reversed. If the policy is reversed then any charges associated with also should be reveresed.
                              This is really getting worse and pathetic where it has done a lot of damage to me.
                              So request you to please help to resolve this and to reverse all the charges levied by Standard Chartered credit card as i am not recieving any support from Stanc.

                              Please note that I have not done any transactions in my account for nearly one year and my credit card account was with no liabilies till I took this policy offered by Stanc.

                              Apart from this Stanc should compensate for the mental traumaI went through, the loss of money by calling this executives, loss of energy and waste of time

                              This is to make sure that no other customer should go through such a horrible time by such an unprofessional treatment.

                              Request your intervention to resolve this and help me to get out from this total confusion created by Stanc.

                                1) My Account ([protected]) was opened on a promise by Surpreet that a minimum return of 9% would be given which has not happened and everytime I called him ,he assured him that it has been done and on June 30 2012 it would show in my Account but it was only about 2% half yearly after that he started saying that it has been done in the statement with him but it will show in my account and had told me to meet him and he will show that the account has been converted into 9 % yeilding account.
                                But that time never cam he stopped taking my calls and never met me. Now you tell me what should I call this sequence of events ?

                                2) There was another account ([protected]) was opened which is of my Daughter (minor) and my wife ( Major) on a promise that this will an autosweep FD account with9.25% for 187 days ,but after three months the rate of interest was pegged at 1.5% approx. which is 6% per year ,again after this Surpreet again commited that it was a converted after June 30th to Autosweep FD account .I checked on the phone banking helpo line that whether this account has been coverted ,but the officer told me that this was a mormal savings account After this he never taken my call nor even called back
                                Now you tell me who in a sane mind would open a saving account with 4% rate of interest wherein other banks are offering 6-7% on saving s account

                                I hope these reasons are enough or you need more about false commitments that for given to me by Surpreet SIngh Bhatia ( [protected] )about the services of the bank .

                                This bank has taken me for a ride need to take some action against this

                                  Standard Chartered Credit Card — Wrong charging to my Card account

                                  In my SCB Credit Card Statement dated 14th October, 2008, there is a charge in favour of Bharti Cellular Ltd. Kolkata for an amount of Rs. 2499.99, which I have never incurred. When I called up 'Helpline' on 28th October, '08 and raised the issue, I was advised to fill up and submit a Dispute Registration Form, which I was promised would be e-mailed to me immediately. I was further informed that my card would be blocked immediately and I would be sent a fresh card with a new number for which I would be charged Rs. 100/-. However, till now (30th September, '08, 15.30 hrs.), no form has been e-mailed to me.

                                  Further, since I do not accept this particular charge on my card, SCB must first reverse this charge and inform me accordingly.
                                  Please furnish the statement of the card no.[protected] and [protected] . I want to setle the due once forall

                                  Bank — Wrong credit to my account

                                  Dear sir,

                                  i hold an account with sbi bank.One day bank person from cheque clearence dept cald and told me that 12000/- rupees has been wrongly credited to my account,and asked me to return it.I asked him for some time to investigate on this issue, but he rushed me to pay the amount back.i some how spend that money with out my knowledge. Iam ready to pay that money back but he is rushing me to deposit 6000/ rupees to my account as he has already freezed my account which i had 6000/- rupees in my account.He is telling me that he will send legal notice...i would appreciate ypur advise.please help me out sir...thanks in advance...

                                    I am Dr Y S Bundela and I am having saving bank Account in Standard charted noida sector 18 branch since 2004.
                                    This is to inform you that I have been given 2 Bajaj Allianz policies 2 years back of 99000/oo premium each.
                                    This year the premium due date was 31st march and I was continuously receiving phone calls from Bajaj Allianz helpline to pay for the premium cheques. Since I had other financial obligation I said many time that I do not want to further invest in these policies. When I was going through my bank account transactions I found that these premium amount were directly debited from my account on 3/7/2012 and to my surprise I have not received any SMS regarding these transactions. This is unacceptable on part of bank and it is a total breach of confidence. I am really surprised why it is done almost after 3 months and when I clearly told Bajaj Allianz people that I am not ready to invest ant further. I think it was done deliberately since Standard charted bank and Bajaj Allianz both are party to it.
                                    After that I called many times to my relationship manager Mr. Ashish Kapur and he assured me that my money will be reverted back. I came to branch also and met Mr Suchit singh sachdeva and he assured me the same. Now it is almost 15 days that I am ringing both of them and they are just telling me that it will be done in next 2 or 3 days, but I have yet to receive any information. It is me who is calling again and again, but nobody has any courtesy to call me.
                                    I am really pained by behavior and apathy of Mr Sachdeva and Mr Ashish kapur and these transaction which were done without my consent has put me into deep financial trouble and mental agony. This was done to me despite me being so called preferred customer. I believe that these things were done because these people were getting financial interest from this.
                                    I request you to look into matter and Take action against Standard charted bank for their unprofessional and apathetic attitude. This bank has robed me of my hard earned money.I request you to get my money reverted back to my account since it was not without my consent and I am in deep financial trouble. I am also registering my complaint against Mr Sachdeva and Mr Ashish kapur for their unprofessional and apathetic attitude to take action against both of them. After this incidence I have lost my faith in standard Charted bank and I feel that even your money in bank is not safe

                                      Dear Sir,
                                      Standard Chartard Bank is simply cheating. I am a customer for SCB credit card for more than a year. Initially I took only my card and later on they advised me to take the supplimentary card.
                                      We did a transaction in railway booking through the supplimentary card and later on cancelled the tickets. In the mean time, I have also paid the minimum charges which was asked to be paid.

                                      It is surprising that I received a new statement today asking for paying interest + late fee charges. When I called the customer care they told me that as the transaction was made in the supplimentary card, they can't adjust.

                                      I feel the reasoning is totally ridiculous and it was never told to me that I have to make separate payments when the card was issued. When there is a transaction they do charge against my primary card but they can't take the payment if it is paid to the primary card for the supplementary card.

                                      Also I asked for the username and password (they entered my phone incorrectly) and I was promised that I will get the details in 5 days, which never happened.

                                      Please help
