Dear Sir,

I had a credit card from Standard and Chartered bank (which is life time free membership) from 2001 to 2003 and cleared all the dues as per due date through ICICI checks. I have requested for cancellation of card thru customer care over phone after clearing all dues in 2004. I was asked to tear the card and drop in any nearest collection box. Though I did the same I am getting calls from the staff repeated number of times. I have communicated well in advance all the queries they had. I am fed up with the calls every time with new staff, had to explain whole stuff again and again. Today after 8 years they called me and asking to pay up dues otherwise legal action would be taken. Please help me from this torture.

    I was using credit card No. [protected] of Standard Chartered Bank in 2006. The card has been blocked long back but there is an virtual outstanding appearing in your records.

    There is not a single penny which I spent through card and not paid but due to delay in reaching a cheque from drop box to SCB there was a late payment charge. I followed up several times but all in vain and that charges was not reversed leading to increasing outstanding for no fault of mine. Had these charges been reversed I would have been your customer but no interest was shown by the bank executives.

    My request it to write-off the virtual outstanding of appx Rs 22,000/- and help in closing the account.

    My neighbour ( He is in USA) was also having sane type of problem.

    It will be better if you pay the amount in full as soon as possible.

    My neighbour also did the same.

    Credit card payment problem gets worse with time.

      Sir i have applied for term loan of Rs10.00 lakh from standard chatered bank in pune. Sir i was dealing with mr shivkumar yadav and miss preeti Dhudhediya in koregaon branch. sir while taking loan i was only said that you will be charged 10.5% per Annum and no processing charge will be taken. Even after time to time meeting and paper submitting and signing they both never disclosed the processing fee, documetation fee,and other charges. Sir they daily took signs on various paper and never shown the scantioned letter of loan.
      Sir when they gave us cheque of Rs09.07 lakh they given a verbal coment that less loan has being approved and not of Rs10.00lakh. On that time too i have requested them to give me loan sanctioned letter but they dint gave.
      Sir after two months when there was phone from customer care regarding any problem in services from standard chatered bank i complaint them regarding not received of santioned letter and during discussion i was shocked that this people have cheated me by not saying the santioned loan amount of Rs10.00 lakh wereas Rs97000.00 is processing fee.
      Sir also they both took RS 18000 from me in cash by saying they have to pay for insurance of both partner without giving in receipt. and in actual only insurance of my partner has being made not of mine.
      Sir i have being cheated by both people and their phone no is as follows preeti dhudhediya:-[protected], shivkumar yadav- [protected].

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        I lost my card issued by Standard chartered banks and on receipt of SMS about a transaction immediately informed bank to stop the card usage. Wrote an information letter to nearest police station and submitted dispute form. Bank carried out investigation and sent me transaction slip signed by the person who got my lost card. Signature on the transaction slips are not mine. The merchant did not check the authenticity of the card holder and sold goods.

        Bank is refusing to accept the fact that it is liability of merchant not the card holder is misuse has happened due to the fact that merchant ignored the laid down procedures of checking the signature on the signature panel of the card. My card was duly signed by me.

        Now Bank employees are calling me continuously and using abusive language. Also threatening me to send my name to Credit Bureau.

        I am currently writing to them on the matter and also trying to find our whose onus is this as per laid down rules and procedures.

        Request your guidance on the matter.

          I need a help for my issue in SC bank. I am using my sc card for past 6 years. Now i had a worse experience with the service. I dont want to brief it in public forum(because dont want to spoil the bank name because of some irresponsible call center agents/staffs) Could some one help me to get the head office or higher authority number to whom i can directly speak and solve my issue with standard charted bank.             I am using Standard Chartered bank's credit card. I kept paying their minimum amount however due to some financial issues and family issues I was unable to make payment for around 3 months. I got a call after 3 months of non-payment from Standard Chartered (Ms. Kiran) saying that I need to make the payment asap. I told them that i would make the payment soon and post 15 days around the same Ms. Kiran again called me saying " Apke ghar 4-5 ladke bheju kya". She also harassed my wife and made her literally crying in my absence. After some days Mr. Shadab (Assistant Manager in SCB) again called me and proactively asked for settlement. I wanted to ignore it as I know it causes bad cibil rating but they insisted me for settlement saying that If I say yes for settlement than it would not affect my cibil rating. Later on as per their suggestions and promises I got agreed for settlement. My actual amount was 1,60,000 Rs and It was settled on 1,25,000 Rs. Mr. Shadab (Assistant Manager in SCB) also told me that it is not actually a settlement as they are only excluding the interest part and I am paying the principal amount in installment. I got this settlement done on July 11, 2011 and I had to make full payment by the end of December 31, 2011. I had paid maximum amount (I only know how I managed that money) by December but unfortunately due to critical financial crisis I was unable to pay some amount on December. I again had words with Ms Pooja as I wanted some more time to pay the remaining amount. She assured me on phone (in presence of their collection person) that I can actually made payment by March 2012. I am going to make remaining amount of Rs 7000 by the end of this month but I got to know from Mr. Shadab (Assistant Manager in SCB) that due to late payment now I need to pay Rs 70 000/-. I told him that I had words with Ms. Kiran in presence of their own collection person (who used to come to my place for collecting money) but He denied all and started talking in a very rough manner that I need to pay Rs. 70000.

            Now I need justice on this. I know I am late by 3 months but I got this grace time from them. They told me about the same. If they would have informed me about the same in December than I would have managed the amount with the cutoff date and would have given the amount to them but they showed a fake sympathy that time and now in place of remaining 7000 they want me to pay 70000 Rs.

            Please help as I am literally getting sick due to this day by day. I paid each and every single penny to them but still these people are harassing me (specifically Mr Shadab and Ms Kiran).

              In my letter dated 16th June,2011 addressed to Standard Charter Bank, Narain Manzil 23,Barakhamba,Road New Delhi-110 001 in which I had sought clarification regarding a sum of Rs:827-25 per quarter for non -maintaining of Average Quarterly Minimum a sum of Rs:25,000/-(un warranted,unfair,uncalled for )of any specfic direction issued by R.B.I. to this effect but bank side tracked this clarification rather it liked to keep mum on this issue raised by me.I also had objected that no wise person like to keep his hard earned money at such a lower rate of interest. I also had asked the bank to reply whether bank would like to advance at such lower rate of interest toany needey person,that is too without any security or sureity as at the time of opening the account and put hard earned money with the bank without taking any surity,security of any kind that in the event of if bank becomes insolvent then where shall the small account holder will go.? hard earned money is kept with the bank with consolation that money is in safe hands but the so called unwarranted,unfair,uncalled for levies have shaken my confidence and I have no hesitation to write that I cannot allow and tolerate such kind of nefarious actions with innocent customers like me.what is the guarantee for future bank will not enhance average quarterly minimum balance from Rs. 25,000/to Rs1,00,000/- .While enhancing the minimum balance from Rs:10,000/- to Rs:25,000/- bank did not think it proper taking me into confidence in writing,had the bank taken me into confidence I would have definitely refused to give my consent for such a nefarious terems and condition imposed rather I would have prefered to close the account once for all as it is reciprocal if bank thinks that bank have so many customers like me then I also have no famine of banks.Further more bank have converted the simple saving account into aXcesss Plus at its own will without taking me in to confidenceas it is not possible for me to accept at any rate.To say by the bank that it was flashed by the bank on its web site and on branch posters also,In this connection I wish to say that bank have not provided table computer or laptop to search the website,as I reside at distant place hence it is not feasible for me to visit the office of the bank specially for this purpose.It takes time and have to spend huge money from Abohar to Delhi and Delhi to Abohar.In my letter refered above that in account statement ending 31st Mrach,2011 bank have not given me the interest rather bank slapped a sum of Rs:825.25 which bank have admitted in reply to my letter is most alarmimg..Most interestingly I hereby invite the attention towards account statement ending 30.09.2011 as bank have done blunder mistake that cannot be tolerated at any cost. It is pertinent to note that on 28 july bank have debited Rs:827.25 in the name of AQB NONMAINT CHG whereas for whole the quarter ending 30th sept. 2011, minimum balance as per the account statement issued by the bank is Rs:28,923.67,again on 24th oct. bank have debited sum of Rs:827.25 whereas account balance for the quarter ending shows a credit balance of Rs.26,714.82 which is unjustified.In doing so I think bank have made its policy to debit in the account without any just and sufficient reason.Also it is to be noted that bank have not given the amount of interest for the quarter ending 30thsept.2011 for which I am entitled,bank have no right of any kind to deprive me the legitimate right.Bank have tried to preach that rate of interest from three and a half percent to four percent have been enhanced.It seems to me that bank have not enhanced rate of interest on its own rather it have been enhanced only by the guideline issued by the R.B.I.When banks are bound with the direction issued particularly in the matter of rate of interest ,why bank shy and keep mum on the above said subject i.e AQB NONMAINT CHG for which I have raised objection.Bank Ref:07/11/067640/LIB .Account No[protected]..I wish to make it clear that I never agreed in past,nor agree in present nor in future.

                I am having my company salary account in standard charted bank india. Last 15 days before bank suddenly blocked by amount of rs.12702/- without prior information to me either through mail or phone. So when i ahve called to thier customer care no. they informed me that 2 yrs back there was some issue between my account & one of the other customer account so bec. of which they have blocked my account & which will be solved immediatly but now after 10 days also my acount is blocked. So i have gone directly to their bank so fro bank they have given me one mobile no. of MR. amit Rao ([protected]) but when i started talking to him that time he was so rude & also using some abuse words, then he has given me another no. of Ms. Divya([protected]). She was also same rude & using abuse words. So till now i have not got my money. so i want to launch the compensation complaint against bank & these 2 employees.As my brother is in hospital so i amnot able to get money from anywhere as my account & money is blocked by Ms. Divya.

                Standard Chartered Bank India — Wrongful Billing of Credit card

                I had not received my credit card statement for the month of September and October 2011.

                I called up the customer care today and asked for the statements. The statement dated 4 Oct'11 shows the additional charges of Rs. 1633.04/- on account of non payment of September bill.

                But the same has happened as I did not receive any correspondence from the bank.

                Although I have duly paid Rs 13,649.73/- today but will not make the payment of other charges and the same should be reversed.

                Also the customer care executive (Call made on 10 Oct at around 10pm) was totally uncooperative/rude and did not register the complaint for the charges in the bill. On asking his name he disconnected the line without any reply.

                The same can be verified from the call recordings in your database.

                Kindly resolve the issue at the earliest as I wish to cancel my Stan Chart credit card.

                  IT S REGARDING A BUSINESS LOAN FOR RS.18.00 LACS WHCIH I HAVE TAKEN ON EMI FOR 36 MONTHS. I HAVE REGULARLY PAID THE EMI. ON END OF TEHTERM THE BANK PEOPLE APPROACH ME STATING THAT DURING THE PERIOD THERE WAS BOUNCE OF EMI AND SO THERE IS A CHARGE
                  OF RS.1200/-APPROX. AS INTEREST AND BOUNCING CHARGES AND ON PAYMENT OF TEH SAME I WILL RECEIVE THE NOC.

                  I REQUESTED THEM THAT I HAVE PAID ALL THE EMIS' AND SO IF THEY CAN CONSIDER THE CHARGES. THE BANK REPRESENTATIVE GAVE ME A LETTER IN WHICH IT WAS STATED THAT TEH FULL AND FINAL SETTLEMEMNT IS MADE FOR RS.500/-WHICH I PAID.

                  AND I RECEIVED THE NOC. BUT SURPRISINGLY I CAME TO KNOW THAT THEY HAVE GIVEN MY NAME IN THE CIBIL AS DEFAULTER AND SETTLEMENT ACCOUNT DUE TO WHICH MY CREDIBILITY HAVE EFFECTED. I WAS SHOCKED THAT THEY HAVE JUST GAVE A RELIEF OF RS.700/- AND FOR THAT
                  THEY ARE RUINING MY CREDIBILITY . I HAVE GIVEN SEVERAL EMAILS BUT NO RESPONSE HAVE BEEN GIVEN.

                  I DONT UNDERSTAND THAT THE 3 YEARS RELATIONSHIP HAVE BEEN RUINED BY THESE PEOPLE.
                  IF TEHY WOULD HVE TOLD EM THAT THEY CANNOT CONSIDER NAY AMOUNT THEN I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM THE FULL AMOUNT.

                  Standard Chartered Bank — Cheating..

                  Hi All,

                  I applied for the SCB credit card and i never got the credit card,and recently i came to know that there is some out standing amount on my card and they put me in to CIBIL.Due to this issue my loan got rejected
                  my grand father heart operation has been stopped and he passed away.I want to put case legally on SCB bank.Can you please advice.Really my life became misarable with this bank.I sent mails so many times to card.[protected]@scb.com but i did not get any reply since one month.

                  in short i got cheated by standard chartered bank
                  applied for home loan in August month & paid towards processing charges
                  on 14/8/2010 telepathically i came to know that I am not eligible for loan
                  I haven't got any of my financial document as well as processing charges taken by bank My loan got approved in another 3 banks & i have taken loan from bank of india

                  still waiting to get my money back from this fraud bank

                    I have vehicle loan from hdfc bank. I have paid full EMIs/ loan,but the bank not issuing NOC to me after sevral times follow up.My loan a/c no is 214693

                    I have also taken personal loan from standard chartered bank and setteled full & final on 27.04.2006
                    loan a/c no 40794725.Several time follow up made but Not issuing NOC.

                      In Ref to Credit Card Number [protected] -

                      I had logged in a complaint (622355)to revert back wrongly calculated late payment and interest charges of Rs 1400 for the month of Jan 2012.

                      I had made the payment befor the correct due date 24th as known to me - however, it is now communicated that due date is
                      23rd sue to some system calculations. It is not my duty to track the due dat every month and it was never communictaed to me that due date will
                      fluctuate like this.

                      I called the Customer Care and the manager was very rude and siad it is ok if i want to close my account. I have alwasy been a considerate customer and made correct payments

                      Also, i asked the agent to provide me all FAQ's in mail since it was personal complaint and he denied.

                      I am agitated and dissapointed. it is not just about the wrong calculation but the customer care did not handle the call properly.

                      The manager was rude, irritating and not listening to my complaint .

                      I am very agitated need a response quick on this.

                      I will raise a complaint in consumer court since such a behaviour is not acceptable.

                        I had received a credit card from Standard chartered, Card no# **** **** **** 1521 . AT the time of handing out the card i had been promised that there will be no financial implication of the card and there will be no hidden charges. But I have been getting statements from the bank saying that there is a certain amount due on my card. I have requested the customer care of the bank many times to cancel my card as I am very disappointed with their service but i have got no response in this regard. I have never used the card for any transactions since the date of issuance and it can be checked from the records .

                        Since yesterday I have been getting threatening calls from a certain recovery agent on behalf of the bank and he has been trying to intimidate me. I have already received 30 missed calls from him- number- [protected] and the calls are not stopping.

                        I have feeling mentally harassed and urge for immediate action from authorities in this regard.

                        Credit card standered Charterd Bank Delhi — threatening calls from Delhi

                        I had been issued credit cards fro the above banks in the year 1996 with alimit of 32 thousand.card no [protected] these cards have been expired inthe year 2006. I had made some purchases amounting to 15000 /-some 8 years back and made the payments accordingly. When the cards expired in 2006 my dues were 22000/. when the exective called i told them that pls close the cards and i wanted a settlement since the cards were of no use. for which they told to make monthly instalments towards the same, this was done every month. Now 2 years later they are saying that the amount has acrossed 70000/ and you have make the payments to close the cards for which i have refused to do since it is heading nower. Recently for the last six months i am geeting threatening calls from thier delhi office no is [protected] from Mr Ashish, Afzal Santosh. etc that they will send people to my house work place to recover the same. i have warned them that i would legal action if they continue to do the same. they want to me to pay the money for which i have not spent.and ihave asked them to provide me details of the same which they have failed.I have also filed a complaint with the bankombusman in Mumbai. Their this behaviour has made me suffer from anxiety disorder after examination from reputed Doctors in Mumbai for the past three months. I have the doctors report on this.This has affected my work. ihave written many letters to their Chennai office regarding this.

                        Standard Chartered — Threatening calls from standard chartered agent

                        I do not have an account with standard chartered bank but I am getting threatening calls from a number[protected] saying that I have a credit card and I need to pay the balance amount of credit card please look into this matter and do the needful
                        I got a call from this number saying that I will get a platinum credit card. They asked all sorts of information and the line got cut. But when I tried calling back, it says number is not valid. Do not accept calls from this number.

                          The service is worst. And the bank does fraud by levying interest charges etc.

                          This bank is a worst bank ever seen.

                          The bank gives a statement with the total amount due of all the cards.
                          It does not give any details for the outstanding balances for individual cards.

                          As per bank rules payments should be made for each of the each card separately.
                          Either we calculate and the balances for each accounts or we ask bank executives to transfers the total amount across the accounts,
                          In the nest statement we will definitely see interest and many other charges.

                            I have had a credit are through Standard Chartered bank in 2008 ([protected])
                            The bank had then charged me incorrectly (charged multiple times for the single transaction made). I got in touch with the bank authorities for rectification well ahead of my payment due date. Nothing helped. I kept telling the supervisor called Rashmi in the Customer service dept that I am not liable to pay any interest as it is the bank who is not able to resolve their error in time committed. I was promised that since it was an error from the banks end I would not be charged for any interest or late payment.

                            Finally Standard Chartered bank rectified the billing error after9 long months however they didn't keep their promise and charged me interest and late payment fees for the months spent due to their service issue.

                            Since then they have not been able to resolve this for me. I have called, met, wrote into various people and they only keep on threatening me to pay the entire amount with interest or else they will keep increasing the amount and finally i will have to give up and pay it up.

                            Also they threaten me by saying they are calling from cibil and my credit rating is totally screwd up due to banks feedback. They also make collection people make torturous calls which are abusive in nature and this has caused me lot of emotional stress.

                            The collection agency has gone to the extent of hacking into my account and calling my professional contact thereby causing me severe business loss.

                            I need attention and help with this matter please.

                              I got promotional offer from Standard Chartered Credit Card company for Holiday package and for charges of it offered Loan of 4000/- with EMI of 370/- . Also told by the customercare that if not availed the offer we will give you back 75% of money back. Many times called for cancellation of this account and got different answers by different customer care persons. Most of them told not to cancel this account as reumbersed amount will be very less which may be 50%. So I continued this account and called Customer care after completion of loan after one year to give me back my money. Now I got answer that as loan account is closed we will not give you anything.

                              This information is not given by Customer care in any of the calls. Now I don't have any option apart from forgotting that amount.

                              Can anyone help me to get back that amount??

                                We had availed of the health insurance package offered by Royal Sundaram through the EMI facility by Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). After the policy EMIs got activated, SCB executive called me again with some added benefits on my cell phone. I am an actor and was busy in my shoot. I replied in affirmation to cut the conversation short. My wife who handles all my monetary affairs said the said benefit is not required and so we communicated with them on phone to cancel it. My EMI statements coming from SCB kept showing the EMI for the newly added benefits. Since then I have been on phone with several consumer executives at varied times and every time I was assured that the said benefit will be cancelled. I also received a letter from Royal Sundaram assuring that the said benefit is cancelled and the entire amount is credited back to the SCB. I spoke with Royal Sundaram executive who told me that I should not have to pay the said amount and asked me to CC the letter to their Manager which I did. I am still told that I need to pay the pre-closure charges as the bank had forwarded the money to Royal Sundaram. The amount asked for is around 15000/- and odd and I keep getting SMS alerts to pay and avoid visits by recovery officers. I also started email correspondence with them and I can submit those mails as a proof.
                                My final email has asked them to revert all charges as Royal Sundaram has credited the amount back and I will not make any payment on the card statement unless my statements are brought to order. I have still not received any reply from them as yet. The delay thus caused in payment will definitely end up in the form of added interest and late payment charges levied by the bank.
                                Need your help and intervention ASAP.

                                  I had a lot of problems doing payments for my standard chartered credit card as most of the cheque payments did not reach you(the bank) on time. Similarily last month, I made two cheque payments both from different accounts. One amounted to be 20,182, the other 10,000. After 15-20 days of the payment, I received no confirmation from standard chartered. I called customer care and was told that the cheques are normally received in a time period of 3-4 days and was asked to put in new cheques. I put two new cheques with the remaining due. One cheque amounted 20,000 and the other 10,790. After a weeks time, I received a confirmation of you people getting this payment. I then continued to stop this credit card and also got the confirmation for the same. Yesterday, I noticed that the previous cheques that I had deposited had reached Standard chartered and was deducted from my account.

                                  I visited the local SC bank here which is the only bank in Pune and they say they do not look into matters with respect to credit cards. After writing numerous emails to the customer care and the head of service. I received an email asking me to email my bank account details to them. Afterwhich I haven't heard a single word from them. I cannot call customer care as they know nothing about this. I am totally clueless on what is to be done now.

                                    I have a policy in Dlf Pramerica whose monthly premium in 797.00 RS/Month. I had issued an written application to standard chatered bank to stopping the ecs mode of the above said amount.
                                    I had issued this application to Standard Chatered Bank within 1st dec 2011 to 12th dec 2011. And usually the monthly premium deduction date of Dlf pramerica is 16th of every month. So I applied for stop ECS, before 16th dec 2011. And also they assured me that stop ecs facility they are activated within 2-3 days. It was their mistake, that they don't process my request for stop ECS till now.

                                    Pls help me out of this matter.

                                      I need your help in resolving the matter with Standard chartered.I could not find any other way to this.

                                      I had a credit card of Standard Chartered Bank [protected]

                                      SC sent me a balance transfer draft on the favor of my hdfc bank credit card of Rs. 10,000 in 2006 .I did not use the draft and crossed the draft and dropped it to SC Atm Drop Box in noida sector 18.

                                      Later on SC told me that they did not receive any draft and they asked me to make an affidavit stating that I had lost the draft.After few days I made an affidavit and sent it to SC.

                                      After that I never received anything no letter no call from SC.Today when I applied for Loan I found that there is a dues of more than 19,000 on my name.

                                      I am so shocked about this.I never swapped the card and did not use the draft which was sent to me and bank never sent me any letter.

                                      Please do help me regarding this I am so worried.

                                      Standard Chartered Credit Card — Torture

                                      A guy from Stabdard chartered came tomy place saying that I did not make the minimum payment.
                                      I told him that I want to clear out all the dues and he said that I have to make a minimum payment or that month and only then he can process the clearing letter. this happened for 2 months and then he did not come back. He said he would settle it for about 26K to 28 K.
                                      After 3 months he came back and says that I have to pay 35K.

                                      What should I do to file a case against the back.
                                      Please help me.
