I am using sun direct for past two years and it was plesantlly goingon.The problem started when the notice started flashing in the screen stating that dish has to be realinged as the satellite has been changed and the realingment is free of the cost.
When I tried to book a complaint 03 months back I got very beautifull service from sun direct by giving each reference no the each time i call to their call center.
Till now I have not been given service for the realingment of the dish.
They say it is free of the cost but they ask to contact the local dealer who in turn ask us to contact sun direct.when the channels are not recharged sun direct promptly disconnects the service but in this case when we are supposed to get channels they are very silent.
Each time they say that within 24 hours they will be sending the technician I don't know as per their calculation when the 24 hours counting starts may be after one year or so.....

When given a call for new connection they are prompt at their service.
It is really a shame for this kind of the service and I really feel sorry that I have taken sun direct dth.

I am using Sun DTH for 2 Yrs now i am not able to view channels due to change in direction and even we made many complaints there is no proper responce from the sun dth person

i have recharged upto dec 7 and for past 20 days i am not able to view

I feel it is very bad and feel waste service and customer support is very horrible

I too registered a compliant regarding the dish realignment. My compliant number[protected]. After many follow-ups finally they told me that the my request is forwarded to a dealer in Chennai i.e.GOPI electronics and some one will call me in a day or two. Nothing happened for a week. I wrote a mail to nodel officer and no response till date. At last I called the dealer and he agreed to do the job and asked for the Rs.200/- service charge. No option and I agreed for the same. But sundirect say it is free of cost. Just they are misleading the custtomers. Waiting for the dealer to attend the job.

After sales there is no service from SUNDIRECT except they collect the subscription and recharge amount. Requesting the management to look in to the matter(particularly Dish alignment) and attend the job properly.
I too face the same problem..
I, Hayagreevachar have been using sundth since 2008 and since about a month I have not been able to receive any channels. when contacted i am informed that the dish needs to be realigned which will be done by sundth technician within 3 days. I am Sun Dth customer for more than a year and i experience horrible customer service too.
I have called in for realignment of the dish and they said after 48 hours they will send a technician. But no one turn up for past 20 days and when ever i call customer care they say to wait for 48 hours and nothing new. if this is the way they service I wish i could terminate the contract for my peace of mind.
I have made around 10 calls in which they gave me 3 to 4 complain numbers out of which i have given one,

The same case with me. Originally when i called the dealer/distributor [chandra traders velachery] he gave a person number [[protected]]. When called this person he said Velachery area is allocated to one Mr.Sai for re-alignment and he gave his number [[protected]]. When called Sai he said I need to pay Rs.200/- and he clearly said there is nothing comes for free of cost. And when i called sundirect service center it is the same story as it is stated here.

It is very shame to see such a fast growing DTH provider in India does not care its customers. Do we have any government forum to complaint this? While this is the case for urban customers, I am wondering how the rural customers would have been impacted.

    Dear All,

    A sundirect connection was taken through MATHA COMMUNICATIONS, Chalakkudy, Thrissur. Due to visibility problems tried to contact matha communications. Did not respond saying that my particular area now does not fall under their area limits and suggested to contact cus care. when contacted cust care on 13 oct 10 vide complaint no.1/[protected] they told things will be rectified within 24 hrs. nothing happened for 48 hrs. when called again they once again told the same story , will be rectified in 24 hrs. when called for the third time they gave planet marketing contact number and asked to cantact them for support. Planet marketing also told they cannot do any thing without instruction from cust care. finally i called thamilnadu cust care on 26 oct 10.. they also took the contact no. and complaint no. but after 15 days no action has been taken by sundirect

    we have reported the complaint to Matha communication Potta, Chalakudy about One month back There is no response. Repeated reminders answer is same finally I visited their office, as per their direction paid Rs. 110/-on[protected] for recharing For the last 5 days no response from. Please advise them to attend the problem

      One of the worst customer service. I have called up the call center regarding the antenna orientation for about 10 times in the past 25 days and every time they lie saying that they would get back in a day or two. I'm getting fooled. Its waste of money calling them and of course, the charge of the channels which are affected. Please advice me.

        chnnels are not available, complained many time with customer care as well as eith dealers also.
        nobody is attending the complaint as per comitment while lodging the complaint
        complaint ref number:[protected] and[protected] dt. 30.09.10
        further called chennai helpdesk no.on23.10.10 but without giving complaint number disconnected the phone.
        23.10.10 again called dealer, commited to resolve the issue but no response later, not attending the call..
        again called Bangalore helpdesk and commited technician will attend the complaint on 23rd itself.. no response..
        againt called on 27th...their server is not working for lodging a complaint.

          Sir, I have purchased one Sun Direct DTH and my smart Card no is [protected] and I have purchased My Sun DTH from Vijay Sales on First Week of June 2010, I had opted Mega Shine Pack for Three Months. After a week of installation I was unable to access Sun Direct DTH channel for which I had made three consequtive complaints, for which no solution or Technical Engineer visited my home. after September all services are barred as three months subscription was expired. Kindly let me know what fault had made you to regularize my connection. No person had take the responsibility. I had paid for three months subscription, after 10 days of installation your services was interrupted and Sun Direct team was unable to resolve the issue. waiting for your reply.

            Dear Sirs,

            I am a regular customer of Sun Direct Malayalam package and i personally feel that the customer service is very poor and not up to the mark as compare to Tata sky or any other DTH service. I previously was a customer of Dish TV since 2004 and due to its poor performance i switched to Sun Direct just because its is purely south based TV channels and it is cheap also. But as the time progresses the performance is going down to down. I am trying for last tow weeks to contact customer care but i cant able to get the line and also lo-gin page is not coming as a result i am not at all aware of my balance amount and all related information.

            As such i request you to please help me out and give necessary instruction to the concerned.

            there is a huge problem in connecting to Sun direct DTH. since they have become largest network in south india.. their eyes have gone above there heads. they should improve the call center connections as per the no of connections they r getting. they r only seeing the profits not the problems faced by the customers. such a head wait will hit them back one day and they will see reduction in numbers of customers coming to them after reading this msg.
            if you people want to face the poor customer service, have a connection with SUN DIRECT DTH...where you all will face a huge and hectic problem with them... once we get the connection we will lose money and will get hyper tension seeing the issues...

            advising you all not to get sundirect dth seeing the ads... ads are being given for sake and is just a word ... instead of spending money in ads, they can spend time in solving the problem of the customers, so that they can atleast retain the existing customers...

            SUN DIRECT DTH can change USELESS DIRECT DTH ... hope they can have training on Customer service and all their dealers too dont have much sense to deal with the customers...

              I am a sun direct customer. For the past 3 months they are not showing all the channels for which the payment is made. On enquiring with the customer care they told me that they are facing satellite related problems and will shortly sent some body to re- tune the dish to correct the problem. But no body has showed up yet. So it is like I have made the payment for nothing I am not getting any channels for which I have made the payment. On top of it I able to see the updated message on my TV from sun direct that all the transmission on the particular satellite will stop shortly. That means non of the channels will be visible after it. I have informed the customer care and asked for a refund and also to sent some body to clear the problem they promised on last friday[protected] to sent somebody with in 72 hours to correct the problem. But no body showed up.

                Sun Direct DTH — very very poor service in the world

                Sir,

                I am not getting TV telugu channels since long. I have tried Over Phone as well as Nett, number of times.But no body bothering about my complaint. If subscription is not sufficient they are immediately disconnecting the channels. At the same time they should also think the customer's requirement.If we try for phone, no body lifts the phone. Customer care persons should not come into picture since always phone is engaged. I could not understand how long should I waste my time for phones.They will not give nett msg aslo. I regret very much for the bad serveices rendered by them and to I have to report for better problem solvation.

                    I am Martin George, working with Adani Group and am presently posted at Ahmedabad. I had taken Sun Direct Connection and my customer No. is [protected]R and the connection was done through Bright Enterprise, Ahmedabad. The basic plan opted was "Hindi", which contained channels like FTV, Bindass, BBC, etc apart from the other channels.

                    However, during the football world cup, due to problems in satellite, the entire channels were blocked out and the same continued for the entire period of world cup. Slowly, the channels appeared, but the above mentioned channels did not appear. On enquiry, it was informed that these channels are not removed from "Hindi" option. Of late from the last couple of days, one by one channel are disappearing with a message that "Now Sun Direct" has moved to new satellite and the local dealer and they need to be contacted for retuning of set up box "FREE OF COST". However, there is no dealer now in Ahmedabad. What should I do. The copy of my application is attached herewith for ready reference.

                      Since last 2 months i have been calling Sundirect to attend my issue but have not received any response / call so far. I have called them almost 30-40 times, emailed them through their website, but looks like they do not focus on Customer service, which obviously direct us to move out of Sundirect option.
                      When i call Kerala call center, their first answer is that their system is down and hence please call 30 minutes later... this is my first experience that a customer have to call them back due to their problem... now when i call then 30 minutes later, they certain time say issue system is still down or will fix your issue in 5 days... wow what a SLA they have.

                      I asked them recently to provide me Headoffice # and they provided me Chennai Call center #, when i called then they direct me to call Kerala Call center... they said they do not have Headoffice... not sure if they still exist.

                      Need help to fix this.

                      sir we didnot get any channel in our connection from yesterday onwards. when we switch on the tv shows the message 'E50-32 no service available '. our smart card no [protected]. connection is in the name Basker. A.V. Kindly do the needful as soon as possible.

                      Sun Direct — Realignment of DTH

                      For the past two weeks there is no telecast of pay/free channels. When we made compliant for realiment we was assured that it will get corrected within 72 hrs. After 7 days we have again called the call center. Then it was said that it will get corrected within 24 hrs. After 3 days we called again. Very cool that said that they have a seniority list and based on the list they are correcting. They cannot correct because of we made the compliant. They doesn't inform our seniority list. They said we will do. That's all. We are not getting channels for the past one month. But we are paying for that. In the channel a, they are telecasting that this service is FREE OF COST. CONTACT DEALER. When we contacted dealer, he is very cool and ask to pay Rs. 300/-. Sun group cheating customers again.

                      All most all channels are not accessible in my receiver from one and half months back. I kept quite because the problem is with your end and i was offered a service with in 24 hours when i took the connection. i am loosing my money as this is a prepaid service.

                      And at last i raised a complaint on 31st of October and the complaint number is[protected]. I was informed by the call center team that it will be resolved in 48 hours. I didnt get any response from anyone from your team till today eventhough i raised another querries for the same. The complaint numbers are 1-[protected] and 1-[protected]. Everytime i get 48 hours time to resolve. .
                      From the customer service team, i get only this stories as technician will call me and i have to wait till then. But they dont know when it will happen. They are not willing to provide the contact numbers of the technicians and their escalation team.

                      My Name is Kamesh.This is regarding SUN DIRECT Re-Alignment.
                      Since 2 months I am calling to customer care and delaers to re-align my DTH.However they keep on saying that we will send the representative as early as possible.But no body as came so far.
                      I am very much fedup with SUN DIRECT service.Please don't go for SUN Direct DTH.

                      I am also the one of the victim of above issues. I have called the sun direct call center 8 to 10 times in last 2 months and am surprised that they are repeating same sentence without changing even the words. Most irritating part is every time they ask for phone number and address updates. I feel Sun direct is the worst among all other DTH currently available. They are not caring about the customer, for last 2 months we are paying money without watching any channels. But we need to appreciate their service at the time of subscription expiry. They are prompt in stopping the telecast without giving any grace period if our subscription expired.

                      I have called the SUN direct customer care center and register my complaints more than 20 times, every day they are registering new complaints and assured within 24 hours your issue will solve. After 2 months nobody called or my issue is not solved.

                      Since 2 months I am not getting most channels to which I paid. I am calling to customer care and delaers to re-align my DTH as per they are displaying message at start up.

                      However they keep on saying that we will send the representative as early as possible.But no body as came so far. I am very much fedup with SUN DIRECT service.

                      Please don't go for SUN Direct DTH.

                      SUN DTH — Realignment of DTH

                      I have a DTH connection from Sun Direct. Inorder to get channels, Recently message appeared to realign the dish which is free of cost(dish re alignment message appearing on TV screen). I had contacted Sun Direct Customer care at[protected] and registered a request but No action on the same. Sun direct has not yet responded till date even though I had made many follow-up calls. Every time they used to tell that "we will do it as soon as possible". For the Last one month I could not get any service from Sun Direct.

                      Before doing any realignment sun should inform to me, if it is affect to the entire channel,
                      I have asked for the TAT, saying customer care executive doesn’t have any TAT on the same… every month the amount is reduced from the balance.

                      Sun Direct DTH — Realignment of Sun Direct DTH

                      Since Nov 2010 i am not getting any channels in Sun Direct as my Sun Direct needs re-alignment to new Satellite.

                      I have logged complaint on Nov 15, 2010 and then repeatedly calling Customer Care about the progress. Till today (Jan 4, 2011) no once has given proper answer for me as when a technical person will come to my home to resolve this issue. They are keep on saying within 2 days Technical people will contact me and resolve the problem.
                      But since last 2 months (since i lost my DTH service due to Sun Direct changed to New Satellite) my DTH account has been debited with monthly charges.

                      Any one can help me how to resolove this issue with Sun Direct team?

                      Im one among unfotunate subscribers to SunDTH suffering in silence and regret for having subscribed as the dish has not been realigned in spite of so many calls and have a complaint registered under 202840 dated 26/12/2010. Till date there has been no response. If there is an alternative to get it realigned without waiting for help from succesful sundth please let me know.

                      I am Sun Dth customer for more than a year and i experience horrible customer service. For the last 1.5months, there is no signal and the screen display say to relign the Dish. I have called in the Customer service for realignment of the dish more than 40times. Three weeks before they say within 48 hours, they will send a technician. For the last one week, they say they will send a technician within 3 to 4 hrs. But still NO RESPONSE.
                      No one turn up for the past 40 days. This is my very worst customer service. They have been cheating millions of people like this and grabbing money. My complaint number : SUN165380.
                      Is this forum really takes action for these public grievances?.

                        I have been Sun Direct DTH customer for the last couple of years without any problem.While i welcome upgradation and advancement ,i am totally shocked and disappointed by the way re-tuning to new satellite is being arranged.You simply exhibit a notice with free, free . free ,free all over and ask the customer to contact the dealer/distributer and gradually stop channels one by one.When the dealer is contacted he asks us to contact the unreachable customer care .God only knows what the nodal officers are doing..they just dont respond.This is not the way to treat your customers..remember we have paid for the channels and you have no right to deny them. Retuning should be done by you in an organised way.Tell me what am i to do before all the channels are stopped...should someone care to read this and respond!

                        I am the Sun Direct DTH customer for the past 1 year. I am facing the same problem. I am not able to view few channels because of this upgradation. I am trying to call the Customer Care for last 2 days and always they are saying its Server Down and call after 1 Hr. They are not even bothered to listen what i am saying. They are just reading the above statement and disconnecting. This is the stupid, idiotic and worst customer service i have ever seen. I am not knowing to whom to complain.
                        Sun Direct DTH is the worst company in terms of customer service. They don't even know the meaning of a customer. They just want to get as many new subscribers as possible to make more money. Don't believe their stupid ads "TON TONATON" which claim to give you service for a low price. The hidden costs are that you have to pay a ridiculous amount for installation and you do not own the equipment. The installers from the distributors squeeze more money out of you in addition to the charges that sundirect charges you claiming some excuse or the other.

                        I have had sun direct for a year and since the past 2 months I have not been receiving most of the channels. The Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh Sun DIRECT distributor Tirupati Enterprises are the worst people and do not respond to calls for sending someone for realignment. If you call them for a new connection, they will promptly send somebody but not for REALIGNMENT. STAY AWAY FROM SUNDIRECT.

                        I am also on the same boat, constantly contacted to the Customer Care ([protected]_ Very Difficult to get connected), you will finally get an executive with some recorded message ( they are not aware more than that) and finally they will assure you it will be cleared with in 24 Hrs. Never transfer the line to any experienced senior executive otherwise you shout..

                        Such 24hrs passed my full October, finally I have done the realignment with some private parties.. but still I am missing some channels.. regular follow-up is going on as a time-pass

                        Never recharge your account before re-alignment, Sun-direct never re-credit..
                        There is no technical executives available to assist you..

                        Try to get a technician form your local area to get it fixed..

                        I'm also joining this group. I've contacted the dealer as sun suggests, but the demanded 250 rupees for realignment. I asked them then why sun is showing as it is free. They gave some invalid contact numbers to me. No use at all. I just simply wasted money by contacting them. They are still playing the old track "If you pay 250 rupees we will do otherwise please contact these numbers"

                        Sun is cheating their customers. Even I came across several complaints regarding Sun direct in internet. People are telling there are very less number of chanells available with the new satellite(MESAT).

                        I couldn't sell these set top box and dish, otherwise I would have gone for DISH TV, which is having better customer service and quality channel lists.

                            I'm a sun direct customer from Coimbatore, in Tamilnadu. I believed that I'd be given proper service by you people & purchased Sun Direct in the month of March 2010 from a local dealer called Mr. Rajkumar - His contact number is [protected]. But I've been given a very bad Customer Service. For retuning the satellite, the advertisement on the TV says "Free of Cost". But my dealer is asking for Rs. 100. He says this as service charge. I dont understand why I should pay within the one year of subscribing. That too he has not come in till date to re tune the satellite. I have paid Rs. 2000+ & have taken an year's subscription. Now this wonderful service given by your dealer forces me to suspend the connection once the time gets over or even before that.

                            I've made enough number of calls to the Customer help line number, from 10 am today. every time I call they say the system is in updating & not addressing my query. whereas customer care number is not working at all. And contact number given under your name is ringing & there is no response.

                            I regret for taking Sun direct Connection & also selecting such negligent dealer.

                            I demand a reason for this Bad Service. I've given my number below I appreciate an explanation & also pls. take care of your dealers & distributors who would in turn bring your complete business down with their bad service besides you spending so much on the Marketing.

                            dont espect anything from customer care. its very bad. they will help you till you buy the product then any coplain comes you dont espect them to help you. i am facing the problem. i am calling customer care for two weeks and they responded. they take complain each and evry time but nothing doing. no one has come to rectify the problem.

                            Goi for big tv.. that is the best.

                            I also faced the same problem, every time when i call, different executive used to attend the phone call and they used to say we forwarded your complain to concern technical department and your problem will be solved in 2 hours, 24 hours and 48 hours, but nothing happen, sundirect customer care having worst technical team, who cannot solve customer's problems. The customer care executives are there to drag customer issue without giving proper solution. I have been waiting for 2 weeks, but i didn't get service from them till now. Till now i haven't get any response even a phone call to ask whether the problem is solved or not. They can send only the message to TV settop Box as "your validity will expire on this day please recharge your card". The SunDirect sold their product like "use and throw plastic" cups. The company has Unequipped manpower.

                              Sun Direct DTH service is most terrible in terms of customer service. The politician which it is owned by runs it like a government organization. They keep advertising about their marvelous packages but the customer service is ZERO and once there is a problem you are screwed. The latest problem where their transmission has been affected by Insat satellite problem for the past 4 months has not been resolved. They switched to a new satellite and technicians are supposed to be sent to each house to rectify the problem. I have been calling their customer care and sent numerous e-mails to no avail. I just cannot get a technician for the past 1 month to visit my house to realign the dish.

                              I think SunDirect is playing fraud intentionally. Can you just imagine how much money they are making with a reason of Satellite shifiting.                               I have been facing lots of problem from day1 of this Sundirect DTH connection.But it was atleast getting solved after 1 or 2weeks.

                              But this time, i am just getting a blank screen as my DTH is not working.

                              This problem exists for the past 1 and half months.

                              And i have given several complaints through Customer care.

                              For the first 2weeks they gave me some solutions like

                              Cleaning and reinserting the card-This didnot provide any solution

                              Search for all channels-Returned a Error msg saying"Search Failed".


                              After trying daily for the past 1months, one fine day i got my line connected to my Distributor"Geekay Distributors".They said they will come and check this issue.

                              But till date there is no solution for this.

                                I am one of the suffers of sun Tv service. Since 3 years, I faced a lot of difficulties in getting recharge coupons. Finally i am compelled to request to terminate thesun service with immediate effect from 8/3/2011. and remove all equipments of sun direct service from our premises within a weektime. this is an example for bad behaviour of the company. Government should cancel the license of registeration of sun direct TV

                                  I am M. Ramakrishnan purchased Sun Direct DTH through M/s BVP COLLECTIONS, 50, 1 floor, 12th main, 4th block Jayanagar, Bangalore vide DC 2816. Though the receipt was given in my name, where as the connection was activated by the Dealer in some others name. This was later rectified through Sun Direct Customer support. Now from last 3 days there is NO Channels available to me. On calling Customer Care they say the connection is not in my name and I CAN CONTACT AND SPEAK ONLY TO THE DEALER / DISTRIBUTOR. Where as it is very much surprising that on loging into Sun Direct web site from my residence my name and residential address is absolutely correct, but the Customer care people still arguing with me and directing me to the Dealer / Distributor for solutions.
                                  I do not understand how I am responsible for Wrong registration details in the Customer Care data base and why do they insisting me to contact the Dealer / Distributor to rectify it. It is not the Customer fault and Sun Direct must and should solve this problem from their end. Insisting or Demanding the customer to solve this problem is obsolutly wrong.
                                  Kindly look into this issue and direct Sun Direct DTH to solve this problem immediately.

                                      I bought sun direct DTH in the month of April 2010 and it was told that we will get 130 channels free of cost for 6 months, initially for period of 1 and half month it was there as said. Later on slowly all hindi channels which are of free got disconnected and now i am getting less than 100 channels. I logged complaint with the dealer and with the sun direct service people three times. No one turned up and now they are telling me to recharge my service as it is getting expired this month on 19 oct 2010. My question is why i should recharge my card when i didnt get any service from them since 4 months. Its a cheating with the customers. I ssugest my friends not to buy this service. These people are cheating the customers. I need my money back. Please tell me how should i proceed to get it.
