I got a online complaint issue with tangedco yesterday i paid the amount through net banking.. Finally my amount got deducted from my account but the bill payment was not successful.. In this case what i have to do.. I've the receipt also and i'll attach it for your reference..

Respected sir,this is Murugeswaran,my house construction work going on in 3 ,Thiruvalluvar Nagar,Thirunagar Madurai-6.my construction house EB connection changed in to tariff-5, five months before eb staffs removed the eb meter box,due to meter box not working.still they are not fixing the meter box.they are put minimum eb charge every month 1300,this is too much value.I have using only 0.5 hb Moter only.per day 15 minutes only i was using.Pls fix meter box immediately thanking you, murugeswaran

I am residing in 41/17 Venkatathri street, Tirumangalam, 625706 . Our TNEB Connection No. is[protected]. In the month of October 2011 the Assessor is taking the wrong Meter Reading instead of 3340 units 3840.He has written 500 units extra. As a result we paid for 840 units intead of actual 340 units consumed .We logged a complint to TNEB on the same month itself to revise the charge. No reply from TNEB.Next month Assessor told last month we have taken the excess reading hence you payonly the minimum charge of Rs 40.We paid the minimum charge for the month of Dec'11and Feb'12 to compensate the Excess reading.In the month of April'12 meter reading shows 4000 units hence we paid for 160 units. But in the month of June,12 assessor told meter got stuck up and you have to loggged a complaint.
Now I got the intimation from TNEB to pay for 800 units ( Rs 3565) .For average calculation they have taken a wrong reading which the assessor has taken in the month of Oct'11.Hence the average reading is very high

It needs immediate rectification that we are able to pay towards power (Electricity) consumed only.

Hi I live in madipakkam sadhasivam nagar for the last 2 days power supply is not there completely throughout the night except few breaks.This is affecting all the workers as well as students.please consider this complaint seriously and take action accordingly.

I start this complaint with a line request to get my problems sorted at the earliest.

Couple me days back I called a number 155333 to lodge a complaint that there was a power problem at my residence and a so called answer was given that the corresponding exchange would be informed. Couple me hrs later I called again to get a status and the response was the same. I asked if a complaint was raised and the person answered no.... I raised a new complaint ... Next day ... Still the same power problem... I called the same number and to my surprise a new complaint was taken saying the same answer that they would inform Ulf concerned exchange. This process repeated for almost three times and it's been 3days and my problems remain.

In addition to the scheduled power cuts all over the city and a whole day maintenance but it's not fair to treat people like this. If the person who complained was big shot I believe they would have got a better response. I think that I an just another citizen who has to suffer and go through all this.

Who's fault is this .... The authorities of TNEB or the staff who should have received the complaint amethyst ignored it or may be its the people in the call center (155333) who have not sent the complaint to announce are just cheating the people who call for help by just saying something so that they get paid

Can someone at a higher posting at TNEB look into this and make me happy by having someone fix the current problem

Dear SIr, There had been very frequent power cuts since may first week. From May 16th to May 21st there was continuously no power at all. It was found some cable was burnt out and cut and it was very old. Complaints were of no use. Person at the Electricity Board office did not even pick up the call or it was continuously engaged. The old men and women had to suffer a lot. A senior person (Name and position not told) had come and he said it takes 10 Lakhs to put a transformer. Its a welfare state of ours and the government is responsible for all this. What is happening? Tamilnad government is sleeping? Justice is needed. People cant suffer like this. Electricity board need to be more sensitive. They can sit at heir whims and fancies and rule the roost. When the government donates food and rations to the poor free of cost instead of educating them and helping them come up in life , they are making the normal mid class people suffer a hell???
Think and please enfore and promulgate highest achievable standards of living and service. ITS A BIG BIG PLEASE. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

sir we the resident of thangaraj street cholavaram nagar chrompet chennai we are facing lot of problem regarding TNEB. THE AEE (NEW COLONY) IS DUFF AND DUM HE NEVER TAKE THE COMPLANT GIVEN BY US FOR PAST TWO MONTH . THE PROBLEM WAS 12HOURS IN MORNING WE HAVE LOW VOLTAGE .AND IN NIGHT WE HAVE 5MINUTES HIGH VOLTAGE AND LOW VOLTAGE FOR 5MINUTES. 5MOTORS AND 2SPLIT AC WAS BURST AGINEST THE VOLTAGE PROBLEM THE AEE(NEW COLONY) IS SIMPLY SITTING AND GET THE SALARY WITH OUT DOING ANY WORK

We have a defective meter which has not been changed since 2007 in spite of several occasions of meter getting stuck up and with many complaints. This month again the meter reading has not changed from our last closing reading as on 7th March 2012 of 6000 units to the current reading as on 17th May 2012. However the used units estimate noted by the department is 1455 units which is very high considering our usage month on month. We have moved in 6 months back but they say the average calculation is based on one year.

The department people talk rudely and have not attended to the complaint registered a month back in spite of several folow ups...

I am facing low voltage problem for the past 2 months. Due to that my borewell motor, A/C machine are not functioning continuously.My Inverter machine spoiled totally.Fan also not running in stable speed. So address this issue to save our household items and other neigbour's household items as soon as possible.

we have build new house so we need new current connection for my home. i have get new connection form and filled submitted to Electricity office. the assistant engineer is verified the form said submitted to another officer. then i have submitted to that officer.he asked 2100 Rupees. i gave to 2100 rupees. he told me get receipt today after 3 O'clock . i got receipt. but receipt amount is 1600. so i asked why did you get extra 500.he said we will return money when we giving new connection.after one hours i got one phone call. the phone call from EB dept.they told come and get 500 rupees.i got 500 rupees. but they told not have test report. already i grave to testing report.they blackmail to me. we did not give connection.

I apply new eb connection on 26.08.2011 but till date not receive any connection, I asked to eb person he said NO METER STOCK IN HAND, as per the latest news for TNEB SITE reflected below message.

" Acceptance of meters in case consumer elects to purchase a meter - List of meter dealers " I am ready to purchase out side what company you mention in the site.

so kindly request you to connect EB connection as soon as possible.

We used to reside in anna nagar, there everything is hi-fi, good power, good water etc. We shifted to north madras, ie, kolathur (near the padi flyover) area a few months back. There i have constructed my own building a commercial space and behind it my house, a residential space. This is what i have noticed:

Power -

Extremely problematic, with highly irregular voltage surges that causes severe malfunction to my AC and computers. Infact one of my Ac's compressors is permanently damaged due to this problem.

There are power cuts upto two hours in late nights from around 11 - 12. If we call the line man, he says, " you people are all using A.C, thats why" I ask, what is this utter non-sense? why are A.C's being sold in india if a person cant use it at nights?!

Bribe Bribe Bribe to every official and unofficial for getting any task done, or event attempted to be done.

Business -

There are only three key businesses in this area, Auto garage, marbles/tiles, wine shop, THATS IT. Absolutely no other businesses can flourish in this area where there are more than thousands of residents because of the constant power problems, water problems and horrible roads.

I wanted to open a proper gaming center, something a little hip and hi-fi so as to change the image of this area because more than my own personal gain i just wanted to beautify the place around me. After a lot of investment i had made it successfully into a posh hang out. But it soon became a nightmare due to irregular voltages, the ups of computers could not handle it at all, my AC compressors could not even operate in the irregularity. I had a very good customer set, but they couldn't bare the heat and the constant power failures.

WHY-

I Believe that our Chennai is now not some village or poor town, we have the right to demand a high fi lifestyle because we are paying our premium price for it. Whats the point of paying HIGH commercial power AC bills if they don't even work?. Whats wrong in wanting to live in luxury? why should we be content and knuckle under in what we have? why cant we demand more from our government? why should only poes garden have proper power supply? why not kolathur?!

How will this country ever prosper if everyone is just content with the basic food water clothes shelter money system? why can we not go beyond this, why must i think the only way to question the govt is through the media? why can i not ask them these questions directly!?

I am brave and willing to ask these questions to anyone and anywhere.

Daily there is power cuts during the night time and this has been happening this summer. After making noise and road blocking it was ok for a week and the same problem of power cuts during the night hours has been there from one month. Daily complaints and its been sorted out but then again the same problem is arising. The EB staffs are working daily in our line cable at different spots.

Its like living in some undeveloped city. Due to constant power cuts during nights our health is getting affected and not able to work properly.

Sir/Madam, The cable has to be changed and put as per the current and future requirement. The EB staffs are doing a unproductive work daily on single cable at multiple points patching up burnt section.

Request your urgent action in resolving the same.......

Very low voltage persists in our area Kodambakkam for the past many months. It has caused a lot of damage to electrical and electronic equipments in my home frequently. It is found that TNEB does not have the knowhow to maintain voltage & frequency for the domestic power set for India. That is understandable because of being low skilled, but what is attrocious is that they lack any kind of responsibility.

I called their 24 hr number (155333) many times, first it is difficult to get the line and even if they take the call they take do not have anything to do, they do not even handle the call professionally. I registered complaints in TNEB website on May 3rd and then again on 25th May, they still show "in progress", but nothing realy happens. Finally after a lot of effort the toll free call center person gave the Assistant Engineer's phone number [protected]. But the call is always immediately cut by the person without even taking it or even if it rings for long, there would be no answer!

Why all these complaint numbers and websites are for?

Nobody seems to have the slightest responsibility.

Is there anyone out there who can help?

We have been lodging a complaint at Electricity board complaint number 155333 regarding low voltage in pulianthope high road from past 3 days but there is no response on the same from anyone. The are AE and AD are so irresponsible that they do not even pick up calls on the mobile phone provided by call center. Even the fans are not working. Things can go wrong for a day but not so long. Why don't people work at least for the salary which they claim from the government. Is there someone who can really teach them or brief them for what are they getting paid. We personally had been to the local EB office too. Why is the department opening a local office when they do not want to work only, tehy can at least reduce the expenses of the particular branch.

Low voltage for the last 2 months

I am residing in Andal Nagar, Adambakkam. Here low voltage for the last 2 months, Our Association had raised a complaint regarding the issue and the TNEB officials had stated that a new sub-station is the solution. However as a temporary solution thay had offered to install a transformer in the area. THey had installed poles for the transformers about 4 months back. Still they have not installed the transformer and when we ask them they say they dont have stock of the transformer. This is really unbearable, NO FAN, NO AC during day and night lost one stabilizer, this is really frustrating.

Nobody responding properly. Can someone help me to escalate this to higher authorities?

My father Late K.Hamsa was a T.N.E.B Employee with pension PPO #: 23247 holder. He passed away 10 months before. We submitted all the required documents in several times at IOB bank, kottakkalbranch, kerala as per bank request to transfer into my mother’s name. but bank says we are not getting any response from T.N.E.B audit department.

I am humbly requesting you to please kindly help me in transferring of pension into my mother's name. She was struggling for that last 10 months still nothing happened.

Please advise me.

Voltage Fluctuations
Hi,

I reside at Mugalivakkam, a few kms away from Porur, & Guindy in Chennai which comes under chennai City Centre. I've been observing very high margin of voltage fluctuation in my flat here. I just bought an AC and invested in a double booster, however it still doesn ot help. My double booster has an LCD display and I observed input voltage can go down to as low as 90V--110V! Less than This Also. Not even Fan was Running. No Sleeping at night. Is it Metro City or Country Village.

Requesting to look in to this matter with urgency, as this is going to affect a lot of investments that I have made in electronic goods.

I am living at Subbiah Nagar, Iyyappanthangal, Chennai. We are getting very low voltage in our region from 7:00 Pm to 3:00 Am. Sometimes we have a power cut during night times for about 1-3 hrs. Due to this all the electrical appliances are getting affected. Last week my AC compressor was badly damaged and I was advised to replace the old compressor. We have already given n number of complaints to EB department but no one really cares and listen to our complaints. This is really rediculous service by EB department.

i am living at vellore. I used to pay tneb bill at online bill payment. On may 14, i tried to pay my bill at online. when i entered all the details of the debit card and clicked pay button. after some times i noticed FORBIDDEN ACCESS/ILLEGAL TRANSACTION on the tneb homepage. so i tried thrice. after seeing it the next day i noticed that the money has been debited thrice. please help to re credit the extra money which had been charged by tneb.
