We gave complaint for 5 times to our area Assistant Engineer regarding this Issue.. But not yet got any solution for a past four months. Please do the favour for the same.     SIR, MY SERVICE NO. IS[protected]. THE TNEB ASSESSOR NOT UPDATING MY METER READING ONLINE FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS, RESULTING IN BILL PAYMENT WITH PENALTY. LAST TIME I PAID RS.9000 WITH PENALTY AS I DID NOT GET EMAIL OR SMS ALERTS AND THERE WAS NO UPDATION OF READING IN WEBSITE. tHIS TIME SHE (THE ASSESSOR) HAD TAKEN READING ON[protected] AND SO FAR NOT UPDATED MY READING IN INTERNET WHEREAS SHE HAS UPDATED MY NEIGHBOURS READING ONLINE AND THEY HAVE ALREADY PAID THE BILL ONLINE. ALL THE READING WHERE TAKEN ON THE SAME DAY. SHE APPEARS TO DO IT WANTEDLY FOR REASONS NOT KNOWN TO ME. MY BILL AMOUNT RANGES FROM RS.3000 TO 4000. I AM A GENUINE CONSUMER AND WANT TO PAY MY BILLS IN TIME BUT I AM FORCED NOT TO PAY MY BILLS ON LINE. WHY ? REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION. MY EB OFFICE IS AT KAMARAJAPUAM, CHENNAI 600073 AND THE PHONE NO. IS 22272400. PLEASE CONTACT THEM AND ASK THEM TO UPDATE TO ENABLE ME TO PAY THE AMOUNT ONLINE. THANK YOU.

      I am residing at the below mentioned address, where for the past few months we are facing inadequate electricity supply problem .no course of action has been taken till date inspite of registering complaint .though paying the bill regularly we unable to get our basic needs . so i kindly request to take immediate action on the same and please ensure for the proper electricity supply . i am ready to speak to any higher authority to register written complaint .

      Please do the needful.Hoping for a better solution after filing this complaint

        Payment debited but in Tneb shows transaction failed

        Today I have made TNEB payment through ICICI bank and got debited of Rs.460, but in TNEB webite it shows transaction got failed. Kindly find the payment details BIL/[protected]/EB OCT 2013/[protected]. Kindly provide solution and do the needful due date is tomorrow 22th OCT13.

        I have applied for new commercial service connections on 10/09/2013 at Tamil nadu Electricity Board office at Ayappakkam, Chennai -600077. It comes within the Ambattur South Assistant Engineer area. Till now connection was not given.The connection is required at the plot no.HIG9811, Tamil nadu Housing Board, Ayappakkam, Chennai-77 I have approched Junior Engineer of Electricity Board and the Commercial Assistant of TNEB office Ayappakkam, several times. But the connection was not given till now.I have suffered lot of mental torture and irrvocable loss. Hence I request you to be kind enough to give me the service connection as early as possible.           Hi I am a resident of LIC nagar , 5th street , S Kolathur , Madipakkam Chennai. We are also the victims of horrible power fluctivations since we reside in suburbs as many in the recent trend. The major issues starts with the quality of electricity distributed to our area and which involves capacity of the transformers to support and distribute electricity. I see many complaints here talking up on low voltage screwing up their AC’s and other high priced electrical appliances in summer which bets the very purpose of an air conditioner. While I might also have to agree on the same all round the year. But the preface of my complaint is much to do with the unethical treatment of every citizen living here. It’s like looting us with electricity charges and deposits when there is no enough voltage to make a fan function to its max capacity. The voltage distributed to our residency is less that 110 Volt which will not even support any small electrical appliance and this has nothing to do with summer or winter it’s just the same all through the year if we are lucky we are saved during rainy days which again Chennai is not blessed with many in the recent past. I am not going to write a paper here on how poor Volt distribution increased the consumption of household electricity and ultimately increase the electricity charges for no benefits enjoyed by the end user. I am also not sure how the mechanism works if someone looks through these complaints and tries to work towards the solution as this is just a procedure which will sound good on election campaign and then It become a dud . But I aint gona stop here if none of the officials are going to provide response here or many other channels I may place this complain then I will like to take this legally with all the other victims here in this forum. We need a solution and the government sector will have to stop working as if nobody care about their efficiency and responsibilities.

          I live in Ramnagar, Madipakkam. Voltage fluctuation is still very bad. No action from EB authorities. We cannot even have a good sleep with the fans running too slow because of the fluctuations. The refrigerator works at below their capacity providing improper cooling. This has been the state for the past three years I have been here and no action has been taken to resolve this issue. Very poor functioning of the govt.

                The Ganapathy Sanganur Road was relaid by the Corporation of Coimbatore some time back. At the time of relaying the road they raised the level of the road to 1 ft above the normal level. By this the clearance between the Service wire from the Electrical poles to the road level has reduced considerably and during night hours lots of Container lories with heavy containers loaded on them while passing the road they drag the service wires and the connections to the buildings are prevented by cutting the service wires. To replace the service wires what are the norms we have to follow with the E.B people.Even though it is a loss for the building owner due the negligence of the Corporation and the Trucks please let me know the procedure to replace the broken service wire to the building.                     TNEB Website says the below words under NEWS and EVENTS column "New scheme of 30 days Assessment / Collection is introduced throughout Tamil Nadu. Assessment / Reading will be taken once in two months." What is the meaning of the above 2 contradictory sentences ? Still in chennai reading is taken once in 2 months ? Because of the increased Tariff and 2 months reading we are getting heavy bills. Govt .TNEB eating Common mans money

                        Sir,

                        From 10.08.2013 there is power supply at Chella Pilliar Koil Street, Hussain Mulk Street and Subbdral Hussain Street. Only we relieved from 12.00 on 11.08.2013 and the power supply was once again disrupted from 12.00 yesterday night. Due to disruption of power supply we are not able to draw water and spent two sleepless nights and children and old aged people are very much affected. Will the authorities take a quick and permanent solution for this.

                          Hi, i am Prasath vasudevan living in ellaiamman nagar, kulakkarai street, muthapudupet, chennai-55 which is in avadi municipality control, but we getting a electricity supply from thiruninravur panchayat, a complaint is that, electric post which connects these junctions is going to fall down on a road in condition(refer image attachment). it may cause an accidents & people for us, who are all living on that sorroundings are in danger. we dont know that, when it going to fall on us, but we hope that the corrective action will be taken soon by government. (pls have a visit on this area of this junction which is near to navasakthi vinayagar koil, vallalar street, karimedu anna nagar, chennai-600055 in panchayat control. and do the needful..) and one more thing i here to say that, there is possible way to change our electric supplies from punchayat to municipality..to wash out this problems....

                            our consumption was falling in the category of 300 units. All of a sudden it went upto 1300 units in May 2013 reading. Again july 2013 reading is the same as 1300 hnits with the same amount Rs.6440. We have been on travel and can provide evidence of house locked. This is truly unacceptable and ee want justice. Intentionally or unintentionally this is fraudulent. We want you to cross check the readings and change our meter asap.

                              Reading for consumption of electricity is recorded by monthly and billed. Due to tariff hike when consumption exceed one slab the whole consumption is charged on the next slab rates. For example if bi monthly consumption exceeds 500 kwh total consumption from unit 1 to what is consumed is charged at Rs. 5/50. Under the circumstances it is necessary that reading has to be taken at regular dates Nd not as per their convenience. Apart from this reading taken is not written in the meter card as required and amount due also is not communicated. When asked the concerned person says that the information can be had from TNEB site. Funniest part is it is not uploaded. It has to be done within five days of taking the meter reading and next fifteen days is for time for effecting payment
                              TNEB forgets that a bill is necessary since there should be a claim for every payment and without a claim a payment cannot be demanded legally
                              Any amount of representations requests etc has not produced any effect. Only in GOVERNMENT
                              we have to beg bribe to make payment. This is the case for any taxes of state government. TNEB issue is at Gowriwakkam. Chennai south circle.

                                    Not able to pay EB bill online

                                    TNEB service No.[protected].

                                    I used to pay Electricity Bills using the TNEB online portal - TNGEDCO. For the past few days when i login it shows the due amount. but when i click the payment check box it shows status processing bar & finally it comes as RECORDS NOT FOUND

                                    Please check the website & do the needful...

                                    I am a resident of Pillaiyar koil lane, Velachery. For the past 3 weeks, we are facing very bad power fluctuation and voltage drops here. We are using double booster stabilizera for AC. Even after that, there is no difference. The basic electrical euqipments like fans, lights are also not working. Even the mobile chargers are not working and spoiled due to this. Request TNEB to take necessary steps IMMEDIATELY to solve this problem.
