refusal for new service connection

I have constructed a new apartment with 10 individual 2BHK flats, I approached the corporation for the tax assessment, As the whole apartment belonged to me the Corporation officials assessed the tax for each floor with and they gave three assessment orders ( one for each floor). Now When i approached the EB officials they deliberately refused to give ten induvidual service connections stating that one connection will be given...

Tariff change

Hi, My name is Thaj, year 2011 i starting to build my home, EB people ask me to change the previous tariff LA1A to LM51 i did it ( date 3/5/2011 ).
the construction was finished In March 2012. then i went EB office i request that people to change tariff LM51 to LA1A but they said to me you have to pay after finish construction first bill then we will change i pay around 1000 RS, but no use then 2nd bill time i ask again again they...

Dear Sir / Madam,

Suggestion : Reduce Power in Home.

Most of the home all are using the chargeable fan and lights , it was charging at the time of current available and then at the time of power-cut all are using the chargeable fan and lights.

When power available , any time the fans and lights are charging , simply they are putting the fan and lights charge . Peoples are do not know the power is enough for the fan and lights.all time the charge is on stage.

So in all home we need to use enough power indication system, when power is enough for fans and lights. Green Light is on then peoples are off the switch then we save the power.

Conclusion : We need to use indicator for chargeable fans and lights.

    Dear Sirs,

    I reside in the 16 avenue of ashok nagar(opp to velankanni school), where we have unsheduled power cuts for the last 4 months. This is apart from the scheduled power cut of 2 hours we presently have here. We met the AE 4 times last month and the EE earlier this month, including a written complaint and we have not got any solution.All the consumers in our avenue are mostly commercial establishments and its taking a big toll on our daily business. Today the power was not there from 8 am till 12pm( while im writing this complaint) in our avenue and we call our AE Mr.Udayakumar [protected] every time but there is no sight of any solution.

    Please help sirs..

      We are running an Internet Browsing Centre in Salem and we are charging the commercial EB Tariff (LT Tariff V: Commercial). We are having SSI Certificate from the Tamilnadu Government for our browsing centre which comes under Internet Browsing/Setting of Cyber Cafe. We would like to know whether we are having subsidy for EB Tarif[censored]nder SSI subsidy scheme, If there, which tariff plan we are under. we want your kind help in this situation of paying high tariff for small business.

        In the month of August I came to know about ‘a new tactics of shutting down the power the whole day for maintenance’ in the name of ‘Power of Higher authority’.

        At places like Madipakkam and keelkattalai (south Chennnai), they had power shutdown in name of maintenance on 22nd August. The news about power shutdown was given in newspaper, but It only mentioned the neighbor place ‘Kovilambakkam’ and did’t mention Madipakkam and keelkattalai. On 22nd these places had no power from 9am to 6:30pm.
        Usually the maintainace is done between a period of 2 or 3 months for a place (in a year).
        On 31st August, the paper mentioned Keelkattalai and madipakkam and the power was again shutdown in name of maintenance from 9am to 6:15pm!

        I called up EB in my locality to know why? I started calling them from 9am, there was no response to their phone number[protected] until 12:30pm and then I got the call received.
        I asked them why? And they answered harshly as, ‘it’s the order from the higher authorities and we can do nothing’.

        Now on 4th of September, the same locality experienced broken power shutdown from 9:30am. I called them to know why and they said, ‘we are experiencing transformer failure’.

        In the month of September (Just the Next month), my area Experienced Transformer Failure for atleast 3 times especially at night times form 10pm to 1:30am. and in Just 4 days ago too there was a Transformer Failure between 10am to 12:30pm and 11pm to 1am.. Why??

        My Area is also prone to electricity Heavy FLUCTUATIONS.. I also recently lost my Refrigerator due to Fluctuation.. It costed Rs.23000 and now is beyond repair.. With TNEB get me a new Refrigerator??

        SO, from this what I understood is, Power maintenance with TNEB means “ THEY JUST SWITCH OFF THE POWER BUTTON AT THE ORDERED PLACE and THEY SIT BACK AND ENJOY”.

        Now as an Indian i would like to ask TNEB and TANGEDCO these questions -
        1. If there is Maintenance done in decide these days, then there is Transformer failure just days after Maintenance?
        2. Why the phone line are not received or Dead during Transformer Failures?
        3. If the Transformers are Defective and get failure often, why not replace them with new and Advanced?? You had increased the TNEB Fee structure.. then y not provide the same good Service?

        This means that the current Tamil Nadu Government/Indian Government can only prove to perform easy operation like Roads and bridges..
        If Bridges can be constructed with Foreign contract, Why not new TNEB equipment form Foreign??

          Sir,
          I am a resident of palavakkam. We had been getting the one hour power-cut done with constant time intervals. In May and June it was 3 p.m to 4 pm., July it was 4pm to 5pm., August 5pm to 6pm., September it was 8am to 9am. But now in October as per schedule it should have been 9am to 10 am. But this month also we are experiencing power cut from 4 pm to 5 pm. It is very difficult to tolerate this change in power cut timings as we already have a bitter experience of having this evening power cut. When we have already underwent this timing why is it that we are again penalized with this timing. This is the time when children come back from school and try to take rest. even office goers and school teachers come back this time and take rest. That too it is very hot nowadays and its really hard to bear the power cut at this time.
          Kindly change the power cut timings to 9am to 10 am.

          We here in Keelkattalai are getting Power cuts between 10pm to 1am (in Midnight).. other than usual power cut between 4pm to 5pm).
          How you People (TNEB) can expect us to sleep..

            There is an emergency situation, since it seems that in our house we are getting power in the neutral phase.

            Last 7 hours, there is no power, but suddenly three lamps of a chandelier are glowing even when the switch is off.

            I have complained to 155333, the call centre, my complaint number is 2302.

            I have made about 75 calls to the EB office[protected], the linesman([protected]) and the call centre. There is absolutely no response.

            I am afraid that there may be some shocks due to thecurrent in the neutral phase.

            This is URGENT.

            Electricity — no power

            This is to inform u that electricity available in 24hrs we have only an average 6 to 8 hous only we get the electricity ,than u have to decide how many problems we have to face in days and without elctricty what we can do.so, we requested to u find the problem and provide us power

                our kovilpatti town area got everytime in powercut daily minimum 8 to 10 hours in powercut it causes so many business in down. please do it any immediate action. our kovilpatti old busstands are looking dirty & the common toilet [both] are not cleaned properly, & near market road to sathyabama theatre all time traffic peoples very disturb for crossing the road & they have no platforms in this shopping area. mudinthal please increase the road's breth. [want double road] please take immediate action for this complient. thank you.

                  Hope this complaint will be seen! sorry to start with this..Really worried about the regular power cut off during nights in Ashok Nagar. I request the concerned person or department to take action on this..Even if the whole day was power cut due to mainatanance, even in nights current is cut. Already once there was a big crowd near K.K. Nagar EB office few months before The saddest thing is, nolineman is available at the office also..Do not know how to count on these people. Request the concerned authorities to take action.

                    Dear Sir/Madam,

                    I reside in Perumbakkam and my service no is 249/448/2770.

                    My EB bill reading on 05/09/2012 is 1000 units and amount was Rs 4715. I was not in home almost more than 12 days and i really dont know how these many units consumed whether it is wrongly mentioned or not i dont know.
                    There was no pending due amount to be paid as well.

                    I kindly request you to look into this matter and provide me whom to complaint and how to approach.

                      Worst service. We pay road tax - Roads are very poor, we pay all taxes - No benefit for us Quality also. I'm sure in the country most of the people not happy with u ( Govt. staff and work ) . Very poor service and very less responds. every one knows that but no one take action, If we take action We cant success because politicians are playing in the back stage. No one thinking about the people, then why should we stand for a long Q and put a vote for you Mr./ Ms. politicians... useless.... I feel shame to say im an indian... I dont want your benefits but i need my freedom and proper service... useless Govt. workers...

                          I wish to bring the following few lines for your kind attention and early rectification please. I have tried to pay my EB bill through on line using IOB Visa card on[protected]. But there was problem in e-receipt generation. I have made payment six times i.e (Rs2645 x 6) total amount of Rs.15870. Subsequently I paid the bill amount Rs.2645/- directly in the EB Office counter on[protected]. Now the Bank status in transaction details of EB shows that the amount of Rs.2645 x 6 times recommended for refund from the Bank.I request your goodself that the amount of Rs.15870/- may please be credited to my account as early as possible Sir.

                            Respected sir,this is Murugeswaran,my house construction work going on in 3 ,Thiruvalluvar Nagar,Thirunagar Madurai-6.my construction house EB connection changed in to tariff-5, five months before eb staffs removed the eb meter box,due to meter box not working.still they are not fixing the meter box.they are put minimum eb charge every month 1300,this is too much value.I have using only 0.5 hb Moter only.per day 15 minutes only i was using.Pls fix meter box immediately thanking you, murugeswaran

                              Sir,
                              I am residing in 41/17 Venkatathri street, Tirumangalam, 625706 . Our TNEB Connection No. is[protected]. In the month of October 2011 the Assessor is taking the wrong Meter Reading instead of 3340 units 3840.He has written 500 units extra. As a result we paid for 840 units intead of actual 340 units consumed .We logged a complint to TNEB on the same month itself to revise the charge. No reply from TNEB.Next month Assessor told last month we have taken the excess reading hence you payonly the minimum charge of Rs 40.We paid the minimum charge for the month of Dec'11and Feb'12 to compensate the Excess reading.In the month of April'12 meter reading shows 4000 units hence we paid for 160 units. But in the month of June,12 assessor told meter got stuck up and you have to loggged a complaint.
                              Now I got the intimation from TNEB to pay for 800 units ( Rs 3565) .For average calculation they have taken a wrong reading which the assessor has taken in the month of Oct'11.Hence the average reading is very high

                              It needs immediate rectification that we are able to pay towards power (Electricity) consumed only.

                                Hi I live in madipakkam sadhasivam nagar for the last 2 days power supply is not there completely throughout the night except few breaks.This is affecting all the workers as well as students.please consider this complaint seriously and take action accordingly.

                                Yes, even in the day time the power cuts are more. Literally there is a 12 hr power cut per day from last 3 days. Power will be there for one hr and power cut for the next one hour. It is causing problem for the kids and old people. Please solve the issue at the earliest.

                                This power cut is not there in other areas like Velachery.
                                Yes ...I agree With Vicky..Really Its So Terrible Of All Workers And Students..But Power Cut Is Not Only In Nights But Also In Mornings To..Evry One Hour They Switch Off The Power Of Last 48Hrs...In Last 48Hrs POwer Is About 24Hrs Only...Children Cant Sleep In Nights..Hw They Can Go to School Next Day..Action TNEB Without Any Prior Information Is Harsh Action..Its Should Be Noted And Neccesay Action to Be Taken Immediately :(
                                Power cut more than 15 times yesterday - 15.06.2012.. Would you believe it. Wonder what these fit for nothing people are employed in the EB for??
                                Please take some action. this is too much. there is a limit to how much power they can cut. everyone is suffering without power in this scorching heat.
                                Life is like bloody hell in madipakkam for the past 2 days. Every alternate hour, we have a power cut and the EB office (puzhuthivakkam) people are not even lifting the calls.

                                  I start this complaint with a line request to get my problems sorted at the earliest.

                                  Couple me days back I called a number 155333 to lodge a complaint that there was a power problem at my residence and a so called answer was given that the corresponding exchange would be informed. Couple me hrs later I called again to get a status and the response was the same. I asked if a complaint was raised and the person answered no.... I raised a new complaint ... Next day ... Still the same power problem... I called the same number and to my surprise a new complaint was taken saying the same answer that they would inform Ulf concerned exchange. This process repeated for almost three times and it's been 3days and my problems remain.

                                  In addition to the scheduled power cuts all over the city and a whole day maintenance but it's not fair to treat people like this. If the person who complained was big shot I believe they would have got a better response. I think that I an just another citizen who has to suffer and go through all this.

                                  Who's fault is this .... The authorities of TNEB or the staff who should have received the complaint amethyst ignored it or may be its the people in the call center (155333) who have not sent the complaint to announce are just cheating the people who call for help by just saying something so that they get paid

                                  Can someone at a higher posting at TNEB look into this and make me happy by having someone fix the current problem
