One of TATA AIG person (Mr. Harnam / Roshani ) called me from mambai customer care on 21th of Oct 2010 for renewal of my CAR insurance policy which is due on 25 Oct 2010 . Hence I issued the total policy amount of Rs. 7587 through Credit Card no. they have provide me the transaction ID which is 032557 , after that II called the credit card customer care department they told me that the amount has deducted through your credit card on 21th oct 2010 to TATA AIG Bill dax mumbai . Credit Card department acknowledge receiving the money credit in their bank account as well. Its more than 5 days now but I have not got the renewed Insurance Policy softcopy, as that person (Mr. Harnam) told me you will get the softcopy of your insurance with in 48 Hrs. I have complained to Tata AIG Customer care about 3-4 times but still they have not resolved the issue , My complained id is[protected]. Whenever I speak to them or write mail regarding this, they give standard reply that my complaint is under process please wait for sometime.
I request you to can you please just confirm through mail or SMS on my mobile , so that I have some confidance that my amount has deducted to correct party (Tata AIG).

    Hi!!

    I have recently renewed my car insurance policy with TATA and I have been given wrong information telephonically by the executive which I cam to know only upon recieving the policy. The details are there in the mail below and subsequently I have been following it up with TATA to sort out the issues but they are not agreeing.

    Finally, I have asked for hearing the telephonic converation with the executive to which they have not yet responded.

    While buying the insurance policy for my car online, I was told by your executive Mr Wajid telephonically that inspite of any sort of claims arising during the policy coverage period, my no claim bonus for the next year will not be waived off if I continue with TATA.



    Today I have received the policy by mail which mentions that :

    TA08-Repair of Glass, Fiber, Plastic & Rubber Parts

    A claim for only Glass / plastic / rubber / fiber part where You opt for repairs rather than replacement,

    at Our authorized workshop, will not affect Your No Claim Bonus eligibility at the time of renewal

    with Us if there is no other claim for damage to the vehicle during the period of insurance..



    This seems to me that I have not been given correct information on the phone while making a purchase decision and this was a major factor for considering TATA AIG. In any kind of accident the parts mentioned above are the ones which need replacement, they cannot be repaired and therefore you will not give no claim bonus if at all there are any claims form my end if I continue next year.



    Please clarify your stand as this kind of misrepresentation was not expected from TATA.

      Hi,
      I have been with TATA AIG auto insurance for my car since 2003. The insurance lapses 20th Oct 2010. No one from TATA AIG called me as reminder which use to happen earlier. I placed a request with TATA AIG on their web site two week prior to expiry of the insurance. Atleast 12 representatives have called me so far. Not one has responded, acted as their promises is limited to that particular call. Today i am unable to use my car as the insurance is lapsed. At any given point of time atleast one of my family member has to stay at home expecting TATA AIG representaive to collect the cheque. The representatives over phone communicate me to use credit card and pay online. But i do not own a credit card.This is happening for the past two weeks or more. I am frustrated the way TATA AIG operates. Though 12 people have called me, no one seem to be aware of the request. Every time they call i furnish the same information which was shared during earlier calls. I request concern at TATA AIG to pull themselves out of this business if they can`t server their customers.

      I hope concern from consumer forum notices my plight and take required action.

      I absolutely agree with you on this. TATA AIG has ansolutely no concept of customer service. Infact rather than improving the customer experience they ensure that they continuosly make it bad. I also insured my car with them last year & not with my regular Maruti Insurance. the reason was the seemingly gr8 benefits that they were offering like free service coupons, NCB benefit pass on even after a claim, possession of the parts to the customer etc. Because of these reasons i got my insurance done from TATA AIG despite the fact that their cost was much higher than others. And now almost 70% of the insurance tenure is over & i still have not recieved the coupons. they only keep on replying to the mails, make calls, then say that the old person has quit the organization & things like that. Waste so much time & money such useless employees but can't spend 50 rs on sending th courier to me..
      Tata aig motor ins in south india (coimbatore) is very poor performence due to the survayer and agents.they allare hopeless. Always telling lie. false promise for cashless facility. Now i paid full amount.not yet they dont gave any type of check.mr.mohammed(survoyer) is selfish fellow he doesnt know how to check the veh and didnt bauther about company.they only for salary.pls high formation check and confirm.dont happen with others.

        I have purchased a health insurance policy from TATA AIG for myself and my spouse over phone and paid that through my credit card on 4th October, 2010. While taking the details over phone insurance people promised me to provide the documents within next 7days. But, till now I have not received any documents. When I am calling their toll free number, only voice recordings is being heard. there is no email id for the complaints also. I dont know how to contact them. Please help.

        Dear Sir,
        My wife has purchased a insurance Sum of Rs.225000/-vide application No.C[protected] in month of Nov.2011. through Blue Chip, Girgaum, Mumbai.My Wife name Is Mrs.Alka Kamlakar Jadhav.
        Sir, Cheque issued by her has debited in her Bank Account.She has not received Certificate till to-date.
        Please look into the matter send Certificate at Residence Address as early as possible.

              I own chevorlet Aveo with car no UA 08 G 6006 in the name of A.K.Jain( arun kumar Jain) , My car policy was expiring on 3rd of September , i contacted customer care of TATA Aig and renewed my policy on the same daty by payment trough credit card.

              It is 27th sept till date my policy ahs not reached to me , I have been calling at customer care constantly everytime they promise me to resolve this on priority. but in their records as accepted by them because of backend delay policy is not renewed even after confirmation given on phone and payment received successfully on expiry date before expiry.

              my car is being financed from PNB and bank is after my life for the renewal policy document but i am not getting any response from TATA aig .

              Also I am unable to drive my car because of non recepit of my policy document.

              Please help.

              tata-aig healthcare + — not receiving documents

              hai,
              this is martala.saikrishna reddy. i take TATA-AIG HEALTH CARE PLAN for my mom and dad in the month of july. i paid money for that polacy. but till to date iam not receiving any documents from u r side, in that time customer serivice person told to me" u will take document after 7 days from that date" but from u r side i receive message on the date of 10 sep 2008. i paid money on 07 aug 2008. why r u persons are taking this much time i dont beleive this. i tought TATA-AIG polacy is better than others thats why iam taken pls send document for immedietly. iam taken polacies from the name of M.RAMANAREDDY, M.KALAVATHI. thanking u,

              I have sent a mail to customer servicee and also logged a complain on the site but didn't see any action...

              I think this is there genuine issue and needs to be actioned.

                      I am very much disappointed wit TATAAIG phone call services .
                      My wife admitted in Noble Hospital, Pune today, I was trying your toll free no [protected] which is given on the policy paper but that reply was "Number not exist"

                      I have two policies of Tata AIG - Policy No - SHC[protected]
                      Policy No. - IGP[protected]


                      Let us inform how to proceed for benefit ? If I will not get response after this mail , I will file a case against these policies.

                        Respeted sir I take a policy no HCP [protected] in TATA AIG .his expiry date 07092010,one call came from tata aig ,he told me sir your policy expir in 07092010,please Renewal it,I told that man i am agree to renewal this policy But you credit amount my HSBC card,and told me how many instalment,he said me sir your HSBC,card has not safisent balance,that time I told to Agent,I enable pay that money,He aske me sir if you have any other bank credit.I told that man yes i have one more SBI card.He told me sir tata-aig &SBI bank creditcard is tyeof.you may pay amount from sbi card .you have automatcaly.esay instalment.so I am ask it is sure,he told me afcourse,after i am agree.He credit amount my card .after i call SBI C C dept. he told me we are no tyeof for TATA-AIG ,so we are not do this amount for esye instalment.

                          Ref: Policy No. HCP[protected]

                          I was holding HSBC Credit Card Bearing No.[protected].

                          Under this above credit card TATA AIG General Insurance has given a policy cited above. At the time of introducing the policy HSBC Bank told that after receiving the policy if I am not interested in the said policy it has to be communicated to TATA AIG within 40 days for cancellation of policy. Please note that the policy effective date is 7th June 2010 and I have sent a request to TATA AIG to cancel the policy on 12th July 2010 (which is well within 40 days). To this communication, TATA AIG General Insurance replied stating that my request has been forwarded to cancellation department. Subsequently, since HSBC has been chasing me for payment, I have been repeatedly sending mails, to TATA AIG General Insurance to inform me as well HSBC about he status of the cancellation of policy. TATA AIG General Insurance repeatedly informing that my request has been forwarded to Cancellation Department.

                          Suddenly as a bolt from the blue, today when I talked to TATA AIG to know about the cancellation of policy, I have been asked to pay 50% of the preimum amount if I opt for cancellation of policy. No where in the above communications it has been mentioned that the policy holder has to pay 50% of the premium amount.

                          Hence, I request to take necessary action against TATa AIG General Insruance whichis arbitrarily claiming 50% premium amount from the Policy Holder, which the policy holder is not ready to pay.

                            Sir, I have Purchased general policy for my mother through credit card of BARCLAY BANK on 31/7/2010,the policy no. is SHC[protected]. but i had discussed with TATA AIG agent on phone that. if i would not like the policy then i will surrender it imidiately as i received the policy on 10/8/2010, on same day i surrendered that policy by calling on customer care no. of TATA AIG. and the person told me that the refund will be processed with in 7 working days.but i am calling them again and again for refund deposit to my card. but its still not done by TATA AIG on dated 19/8/2010.as i already requested them that i will be charged for late payment and extra tax on my billed amount by the BARCLAY BANK. but they are not listening me . as i dont want to charged with any fine . plz do the needfull.

                              TATA AIG executives have misguided me regarding the benefits of the policy during the promotion and after the sale, The amount of policy is Rs. 2769 for year and it is for my mother, and the benefit of that policy is upto 3.6 lakhs for accidental sickness , and Rs. 2,000 multiplied by no. of days of hospitalisation, but now after i purchased the policy, they are saying that only Rs. 2000 multiplied by no. of days of hospitalisation is allowed not the total claim o[censored]pto Rs. 3.6 lakhs

                              So i was miscommunicated by them, kindly help me out.....

                                I have 4 policies with TATA-AIG Life Insurance of my family members. Policy numbers are as follows :-

                                I am continuosly paying premium from last 6 years, but I have not received my policy bonds till date. Many times I visited office at Hazratganj, Lucknow but they are saying that they has despatched by courier. When I ask to show POD no one is taking care for that.                                   Respected Sir,

                                  I have sent my car in July, 2008 through DRS Logistic L-36, 2nd Floor, 21st Street Anna Nagar(East), Chennai – 600102 (Car No. TN02U0319 TATA Indica DLS) from Chennai to Rae Bareli. This Car was in the name of my sister S.A. Kayalvizhi she got car for me as I am a handicap person. On August, 05.08.08 I got a mail and letter from Mr. Prabhat Gupta (Mb. No. [protected]) (21 Shivaji Marg, 1st Flooor, Nazafgarh Road, Near Campa Cola Factory New Delhi -110 015) that my car got burned in accident on the way in Jaipur and they sent me only photos and FIR Copy. They told me to apply for the insurance. So I rushed to Chennai to meet TATA AIG Insurance Company. They told me that I have to cancel my car registration then only I can get the insurance amount. But being an handicap person working in Rae Bareli went to the RTO Chennai to cancel the Car registration. The RTO officer said that they cannot cancel the RC as they have already issued the NOC (No Objection Certificate) to Rae Bareli. So I again rushed back to Rae Bareli to cancel my car registration but they said that even they cannot cancel as the vehicle didn’t even reached Rae Bareli so I asked TATA AIG and DRS Logistic to help me in this case. But DRS Logistic people said that they cannot help me in this regard and TATA AIG officers are not ready to accept the FIR copy and settle my insurance amount.

                                  I am mentally depressed now; as we bought this car with our hard earned money my father is also sick and mentally disturbed due to this incident. I have almost spent around Rs.60,000/- for the last two years in travelling from Rae Bareli to Chennai to get my insurance amount, but till now no response from DRS and TATA AIG so it is therefore, my humble request you to please take some urgent steps against the TATA AIG and DRS Logistic so that I can get my insurance amount back.

                                    I would like to bring to your attention, the false-game by TATA AIG insurance team.

                                    I have sent a Regd letter to them on 7th June 2010 request to revert in 15 days time, but not reverted so far.

                                    I have made a telecon on 18/5/10 and while starting the call, I specifically informed them that everytime when I request policy cancellation, line gets deactivated deliberately. The receptionist mentioned about Cancellation request number to take from the cancellation dept, but they are not listening for further conversation and putting on mute. I informed them that if it is not happening this time, I would inform Ombudsman office. Request your office help to discontinue this policy and thus the auto debit from my credit card and reversal o[censored]nauthorised instalments.

                                    When customers contact to their toll-free number and ask for cancellation of policy, they will put for mute for 1 or 2 minutes and then get disconnected everytime. It is clear cheating to customers.

                                    Kindly advice me in this regard. I want to stop it immediately. If there is any requirement for further information, pls advice me.

                                    TATA AIG General insurance LTD — Frauds in cancellation

                                    I had a invitational Offer policy from TATA AIG thru my HSBC Credit Card. As per the policy I was convered for 2 months REview period with 10 Rupees premium per month. As per the policy I was allowed to cancel the policy within the stipulated 2 months time, then there will be no extra premium charges applied.
                                    As per the guidelines given, my policy started on 14 July 2008 and it was to be there for review till 13 SEP 2008.
                                    I was nto satisfied with the policy and I wanted to cancel the same within review period.
                                    ON 4-September 2008 in the morning time I called them up and asked for Policy cancellation. The representative from their Call Center confirmed that my Policy is cancelled and he gave me the confirmation number "728485" for the same. I wass told that I will be getting my Cancellation letter within 10 days and my poilcy satnds cancelled.
                                    To my utter surprise when I checked for my Credit card statement on 16th September I found out that TATA AIG has chargedme third months Full premium of 329 Rupees from my Credit Card.
                                    On calling them for this I got the response that the policy was cancelled on 4th September and assurance that the team will look into it.
                                    For their help as requeste dby them I sent them a soft copy of my Credit Card statemement as well.
                                    Again to my surprise when today I called them up, I found out that the Policy Cancellation date has been changed in their system.
                                    The response from them was that very rude and it is a clear case of Financial forgery, they are nmot following the guidelines of RBI for Data and Call recording and denying that they dont have recordings for my 4th September's Calls.
                                    This is very searious ceoncern and Criminal activity from TATA AIG site.

                                    TATA AIG General Insurance Company Ltd — Fraud:NON issue of policy and non refund of money

                                    on 12th January 2009 this company approached me for health care policy online and took my credit card no and assured me that policy draft will be sent within 7 days and they would call if I accept the policy after reading it.But on 14th Jan itself my Citibank card was debited by Rs 5711.Even that is not done.
                                    The Blue dart consignment number given was showing 'not found' on blue dart website.Then I was told policy could not be sent as mine was non delivery station.After few days I was told policy he's been delivered to some Mr Gupta, Then I was told it was now resent on 27th january by post then new dates were given for 4th February and 2nd February.Fed up I asked for reversal of charges as I don't want to deal with such company and that too in insurance product.
                                    But till 14 th February neither any policy is received nor any refund made.meanwhile I Was told that only rs 5033 are to be refunded as policy was cancelled, .But I never got any policy.Even legal notices of cheating, fraud and consumer court and IRDA compliant has not made any difference.TATA AIG it seems is out on online fraud, cheating and misappropriation of funds of customers.
                                    people should avoid this company and launch police and consumer court complaints and send complaints to IRDA Chairman.Publicise such messages to as many people as possible to save citizens of India from fraud and harassment and third class services of such badly manged companies.
                                    Please read amount as Rs 6711 and not 5711

                                    TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE — Wrong information provided to get the policy active

                                    Hi,
                                    I took Health Care policies from TATA AIG last year in my name and my parent's name. When the policies expired this April, I received a call from TATA AIG saying that since I haven't made any claims last year, I can get the entire premium back once I get my policies active again. I wasn't convinced but they called by more than 10 times through different people to get me convinced. Once I got the policies activated and the premium was deducted from my credit card, I called TATA AIG to cancel my policy, so that i can get the entire amount the both year's premium refunded back. To this, they said there's so no such policy of their's to refund the premium amount. Moreover, they are taking ages to cancel even my present running policies and refund the amount for present year.

                                    Dear Sir, Madam

                                    I am not using the HSBC credit card since I had received it. My HSBC card number is [protected]. HSBC has tie-up with TATA AIG Insurance co., I never had shown my interest for TATA AIG Insurance, without my knowledge they had sent it to me. without informing to me they have debited some premium amount. without my any confirmation HSBC added charges for TATA AIG Policy in my account. I called several times for last 1 year. They said the charges will be wiped off but all in vain. Now they are adding finance fees & insurance installment each time & sending me statement 10th April 09. I was naturally shocked as I am a salaried employee and have no other sources of income Despite my request to cancel the policies the same have not been cancelled till date I am fed of doing this stuff again & again, I have just a single request. Please waive of these unwanted charges & send me a statement with the Zero amount due for the payment
                                    I had tried to contact their customer services, experienced a very uncomfortable facilities over there. Now I want to resolve this issue, I have sent mails to their customer services also ([protected]@hsbc.co.in).
                                    Request you if anyone helps me out, I believe I was not in fault and I am deeply disappointed with HSBC for doing this. I am seriously considering going to the consumer court and fight it out. What do the members of this forum think? I am working in Press (India Today Group)
                                    I feel Very bad about HSBC and Tata AIG. They are not suppose to encourage like this. First of all they don't have any rights to issue the Policy by Telephone confirmation without writen approval from the Customer.

                                    I send the request to TATA-AIG Insurance to cancel my policy which I am not interested at all.

                                    The customer service of HSBC is canvasing for TATA-AIG but when I request HSBC to cancel my policy the told me to contact TATA-AIG Insurance. Is this correct????

                                    TATA AIG General Insurance Company Ltd — Daughter's name not included

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I was holding Tata AIG's Health care plus policy no HCP[protected] from 19/06/09 to 18/06/2010. After receiving the policy i requested them to include my Daughter's name through telephone for which their executive took the details and promised that amended policy will be sent within 6 wrking days.
                                    1.On 21/07/09 my daughter met with an accident while playing at home and got treated at Sagar hospital Bangalore, for which i spend around Rs 38000/-.
                                    2. when called up Tata AIG on 26/07/09 for claims, to my surprise they told that my daughter's name in not included, i was shocked to hear that.
                                    3. Then on 01/08/09 i told them to cancel the policy to which also they agreed but no action taken.
                                    4. They tell one simple sorry for all their lapses and want me to continue with policy.Every time i speak to a executive, i had repeat my complaints.
                                    5. Finally i got this policy cancelled after lot of heated arguments with one Mr. Manish from cancellation dept. for which they deducted 37% of total premium of Rs 12868/-.

                                    Sir my grievence is, we make insurance to cover ourselves but not for fun. if these lapses they do and say plain sorry where do we go. I request to help me in suing this company for their lapses and want a suitable compensation for this and this is nothing less than Rs 20 lakhs.

                                    They forced me to agree by calling again and again to take apolicy , they first said in phone that you check the policy details later , if you dont like then cancel. but still now i have not got any policy papers. and they deducted money using my credit card number. Now I called TATA AIG cusomer care to cancel the policy but they are saying i need pay cancelation charges .

                                    As per SMS received to me I have buyed the insurance policy for two month only.
                                    The payment is deducted through credit card of Rs. 10. For this my permission is taken. They suppose to take the permission for next deduction. Without that they have charged me for next deduction and it is applied in my credit card.

                                    Dear sir,

                                    My I10 car which was purchased on 30/11/2010 and still under the manufacturer warranty suddenly caught the fire in the Bonet on 3/6/2012 and the majority of the bonet fittings were burnt. i loggedin the complaint as well as the insuarance claim with the Tata AIG insuarance co vide claim no[protected] but till today i have not got the passing for the claim, and still the car is lyieng in the modi hyundai workshop at goregaon west. The surveyer has given a report that the car is under warranty and there is no manipulation to the car wiring, it seems that the fire is due to manufacturing defect. on the other side Hundai co saya that there is no manufacturing defect.

                                    Both the companies are keeping their hands off from repairing the car and my claim is kept on hold for last two months.


                                    Can you please help us in the above mentioned issue.

                                      With reference to the above subject, I write in sequence……… renewed my vehicle ( bearing number KA 01 MA 4719 Tavera) insurance on line thru phone banking persons help have got reported as transaction failed & later thru phone banking support, but for my bad luck, unfortunately amount has got credited twice thru my ICICI credit card account to your company’s account. I spoke several times registered complaint, mentioned have received twice the documents can return one set, your phone banking executive said it’s not required they asked me to fax card statement with which they do the needful… waited for a month or so as i got card statement faxed as advised, scanned and mailed, followed up couple of times again I’m sure all would have been recorded in your call center records. I was told it will be reversed which did not happen…. few times was kind many a times hard & unkind to your phone banking executives… as time passed it slipped my mind too…. As I was going thru pending tasks thought again followed once again today… now have been have been asked to submit following original documents to nearest branch of yours;
                                      1. Renewal cover note
                                      2. Renewal endorsement letter.
                                      3. Receipt.
                                      4. Certificate of Insurance
                                      5. Once again attaching copy of ICICI credit card statement.
                                      I hoping in good faith once again upon receiving above enclosed original documents, which will help you to process and return doubly credited amount. Till date my experience has been frustrating & painful as have been asked every time a different document for the process. I’m not sure how you are going to compensate & build my trust in your company & process.
                                      As I have been asked to submit this letter in the nearest branch which I’m doing, hope that it will not get lost either thru courier or on any of your officers table. If that happens I don’t have any document to fight or support or cry for. Honestly i do not understand process of yours which has not been consumer friendly.

                                        I have Car Insurance Policy from TATA AIG General Insurance co.The policy was due for renewal in March 2010. Hence I issued them a cheque in their favour for renewing the policy on 19/3/2010. They have deposited the cheque and the cheque got cleared. They acknowledge receiving the money credit in their bank account as well. Its more than 3 months now but I have not got the renewed Insurance Policy. I have complained to their Customer care about 8-10 times but still they have not resolved the issue. Whenever I speak to them or write mail regarding this, they give standard reply that my complaint is under process and they would require further 6-7 working days.

                                        I request TATA AIG to issue the insurance policy immediately without any further delay.

                                        One of TATA AIG person (Mr. Harnam / Roshani ) called me from mambai customer care on 21th of Oct 2010 for renewal of my CAR insurance policy which is due on 25 Oct 2010 . Hence I issued the total policy amount of Rs. 7587 through Credit Card no. they have provide me the transaction ID which is 032557, after that II called the credit card customer care department they told me that the amount has deducted through your credit card on 21th oct 2010 to TATA AIG Bill dax mumbai . Credit Card department acknowledge receiving the money credit in their bank account as well. Its more than 5 days now but I have not got the renewed Insurance Policy softcopy, as that person (Mr. Harnam) told me you will get the softcopy of your insurance with in 48 Hrs. I have complained to Tata AIG Customer care about 3-4 times but still they have not resolved the issue, My complained id is[protected]. Whenever I speak to them or write mail regarding this, they give standard reply that my complaint is under process please wait for sometime.
                                        I request you to can you please just confirm through mail or SMS on my mobile, so that I have some confidance that my amount has deducted to correct party (Tata AIG).
