On Feb 1, 2015, I placed a called to Tata Docomo call center and asked for cancellation of my Tata Photo postpaid service. I received an email from Tata Docomo stating that cancellation service request has been registered. [Image attached]. I had paid all my outstanding dues on the day of placing the cancellation call.[Image attached] Then I received a call from a local Tata Photon center trying to convince me to continue with the service. I refused and I asked them to cancel the service. Then on March 17th, I received an email [Image attached], asking me to pay for the bill for Feb, though I had placed the cancellation request on Feb 1. After a lot of back and forth with the customer service, I could not resolve this situation and I was forced to pay the bill for Feb. I paid this bill on April 4, 2015 [Image attached]. Then on June 4th, 2015, I received an email [Image attached], asking me to pay for the bill for May. I was stunned and I called customer service and I was told that my service was still active and had not been cancelled and instead was placed in suspension. That was so ridiculous and I immediately asked them to cancel my service. I also told them that I would not pay the bill for May since I had placed my cancellation request in Feb, 2015. Nobody had any idea why my service was not cancelled in Feb, 2015. I kept getting emails asking me to pay the bill for May. I called customer service again and explained them the situation. I was told the outstanding dues will be dismissed by their customer representative. Now I started getting texts from tata photon threatening legal action and asking me to pay the charges for May, 2015.[Image attached]. This is unfair to bill me for the month of May, when I placed the cancellation request in Feb. Also it is unfair that when the customer service representatives had promised me that dues for May will be dismissed, I get harassing texts from tata docomo legal asking me to pay the dues. The whole thing has been badly handled by Tata Docomo with no proper communication between departments. It appears as though the company is scamming customers off their money without taking any responsibility which is why I cancelled their service in the first place.

Here is the update on the complaint that I have filed so far.

A Tata Docomo customer rep called me this morning and asked me to forward all the details to their email id. I received another call this afternoon, from another Tata Docomo rep who apologized for the inconvenience and said that all the 'unfair'charges will be adjusted and I do not have to pay anything.

I appreciate the promptness of the response from Tata Docomo support. I am going to wait for 4 more days to check if the harassing SMSes from the legal department of Tata Docomo is going to stop. Then I will resolve this complaint.

Yesterday (July 20, 2015), I received an email stating that COMPLAINT ON CANCELLATION REQUEST NO.[protected] has been raised. I also received emails for CLOSURE OF BILLING ADJUSTMENT REQUEST NO.[protected] which adjusted the outstanding charges. But I also received text message from Legal department of Tata Docomo threatening me with legal action if I did not pay the full outstanding charges immediately. So I am going to wait for additional 4 days for the harassing texts from Legal to stop and then resolve this complaint.

        I PURCHASED Tata docomo sim from Tata docomo sales person she told me Mumbai Maharashtra and goa is local there will be no roaming charges applicable and now they have charged me 700 rs for roaming charges in maharashtra. They say now that mumbai maharashtra and goa were never local before.

            The function of my mobile no. [protected] has been suddenly stopped from 13.07.2015 without any intimation from the service provider, reason for which is unknown, although sufficient money is there.

            It shows that the "sim registration failed".

            Why it is failed & what i have to do for re-registration & why the service provider is not validating the same? Your immediate action for re-validation of this sim is highly appreciated.

              i am using tatadocomo [protected] no since 3 years last week i called call center regarding my call rate change issue but their executive not entertain the same. without listening me he disconnected my call.seeing after pathetic response i decided to go MNP option that same day from their side i got call regarding why i choose MNP straight a way i disconnected their call.after few minutes i got a sms saying you have subscribed to GPRS5 at rs 5.00 for 0 days through CC. of 25 MB data without my permission their executive activated this service, when i tried to connect their call center no response again, the same service activated 6 times in same day intentionally your their side to harass me.

                Slow connection and when I called Customer Care all I get is this answer there is some issue going on your site and our team is working on it. I have been experiencing the problem from more than 15 days and on 15th day when i am calling the Customer Care for complaint they are saying this very well taught script to make customer fool and left with no option " Technical fault at your location and our team is looking into it " If my concern is not entertained and I am not getting the appropriate speed then this is the last month for me being Tata Photon customer i will switch over.                 Hi all,

                Again very illiterate and un professional support received from the technician who called me back.
                He was again telling me same old thing which is mentioned above in my complaint I guess he has not read out my concern and was calling just again with ready answer. And obvious expected answer to my irony again was
                " THERE IS SOME TECHNICAL ISSUE AT YOUR LOCATION " and when I asked how many times same answer will be given and response was so unprofessional and rude ... WE DONT HAVE ANY TIMELINE for it. This is one of the most weird service I have ever received from any product.

                And just to get rid of this whole complaint my I got SMS that my issue is resolved and case is closed. Here is the service request no which is closed by Technician[protected].

                Is there any one senior who has decency to talk to there corporate customer can call me back with some resolution or action on it or should i loose all hope and consider this again as failed attempt by me on TATA PHOTON.

                    I have been using tata photon maxwifi for the last one year, and i chose the biggest plan that was 30GB for a rental of Rs.1250. I am sure that by now, people would have understood how bad the service is. But let me explain that last month i called customer care service for at least 5 times as i couldn't connect to internet and let me tell you it was not for few minutes or few hours but for several hours. Every time i call the customer care on this they keep saying that the area that i lived in, was high demand one and they were trying to improve the bandwidth. Realizing that i couldn't depend on it ( as i work from home half of my work) i opted for cable internet. I then called up the customer care and asked for smaller plan as i thought it would be a waste of money paying Rs.1425 ( including service taxes ) and expecting to reduce my bills from anywhere between 200-400. Then to my shock, the customer care suggested me to go for 10GB plan that would cost me Rs1500 which i would be paying around Rs.1650 per month. So i realized my days with photon are going to be over soon. Isn't that funny really ? they cancelled all the initial plans now because there are complaints from almost every user about the internet speed and they do not seem to improve their infrastructure and bandwidth. i have used bsnl evdo, relaince, photon plus, and photon maxwifi so far and i can say maxwifi is the worst of all. The photon customer care is absolutely useless. If you call them only to have lost your talktime.

                      My tata docomo no. [protected], account no.[protected] I requested tata docomo outllet at Indore to disconnect my connection in January 2015 by paying all dues.But still I am getting bills.Again I contacted the outlet and I was asked to pay bills upto June'15 and within one week I will get the NOC.I paid the bill of Rs.3000/- on 25/6/2015 wide receipt no. 75341641 at tatateleservices indore.For any additional charges paid additional Rs.200/- on 25/6/2015 wide receipt no.75342905. Regarding NOC outlet says they have sent mail for NOC but not received reply and now we have to pay further amount till we get the NOC. I am getting phone calls from Bhopal office of tatadocomo warning me of legal complicacies.Need help to get out of the mess.

Panigrahi ph.[protected] odisha on dt.10/07/2015 i subscribed a internet connection of Rs.149/- for 1.5 Gb data from main balance through USSD code, Rs.149 had deducted from balance & net balance came but no internet service, i inquired the customer care service they told to put out the sim & switch on . and also told we sent a message to you. i had been instructed if internet would not be there then the message contain a no. (toll free on docomo) i called to that no but no respond.Again i called to customer care but no respond till now. Pray interfere either connect internet or refund back the lost balance.

                          My Wife had asked customer service to close her broadband account ([protected]) which they did not do initially. Offered various retention stuff which did not work. So finally they closed her account and sent a confirmation message. Later she started getting call to pay a bill of Rs 900+ which is outstanding which was post discontinuation of the services. When checked with customer care, they said she has to pay this bill. Yesterday evening, she gets a notice from LOK ADALAT to be present today before 10.30 a.m. to settle an outstanding amount of Rs 1321/- else that will be recovered legally. Nobody sends a notice within such a short period of time that too for incorrect reason. My Wife had the SMS of service discontinuation but unfortunately she lost her mobile last month and so she doesn't have that SMS now. She has somehow paid the bill to avoid further harassment. When called customer care, they are simply giving different toll free numbers to check the status. This hopeless kind of customer service is definitely spoiling the name of TATAS and the trust we have in them. Hope some lawyers/organization are there who can support/assist us to stop such kind of harassment from telephone companies. Regards, Suraj Gaikwad

                            My tata photon max wi-fi no. is [protected]. I have been using this connection for over last 3 years now. Two months back, I upgraded from Photon plus to photon max wi-fi by paying a deposit of INR 1950/- for the new max wi-fi device. I was promised a speed of 9.1 mbps. In the first month, I got good internet speed. Next month (this month), even though i did not use my 10 GB hi speed data, the speed suddenly dropped drastically. Numerous speed tests performed showed that the download speed is at 0.45 mbps (max). Thereofore I am unable to wach you tube and other such heavy websites. I have called up the customer care and even written an email (on June 20, 2015) to their customer support regarding the issue. The revert I have got is that there is a high speed congestion in my area, and it cannot be said as to when the congestion problem will be rectified. (It could take one day, one month or one year...!!!) It is surprising to note that the high user congestion in my area has come about all of sudden, and is there 24 hours of the day - morning, evening or night; 24x7...whenever I log on! Also, it is noteworthy that another photon max wi-fi connection of my friend runs smoothly in the same building and at the same time when I have slow speed due to a so-called high user congestion. Considering the above, I decided to shift from my present internet service provider (Tata Docomo), and requested a refund of 1950/- paid against my wi-fi internet device, as I paid for hi-speed, which I am not getting. I am being told that a refund is also not possible. Therefore, neither am I getting the hi-speed promised by photon max wi-fi, nor is the company willing to refund the 1950/- deposit for the hi-speed photon max wi-fi device. Why should I pay for a hi-speed plan (INR 750/- per month) and also INR 1950/- for the hi-speed device, when I am not getting the promised hi-speed internet usage. Till date, it has been over 22 days since I raised a complaint, and there is no resolution. Also, there is no timeline by when there will be a resolution. Therefore, all I want is that the company either provides me the hi-speed that I was promised, or they refund my INR 1950/- given for the max wi-fi device.

                              Dear Sir, I reacharged my No.[protected] with Rs.251 on 10th July 17:28hr and I got 1Gb data and Rs.100 Talktime. Later I checked my balance it was Rs.0. I called Customer Care they gave me a excuse that when data balance is below 30mb it deducts through main balance. This is cheating, kindly refund my Rs.100.                                 Dear sir, I am Anil Kumar Pandit Mo no. [protected] (Kolkata Circle) 8 July to call charge too maximum rate. My last call charge 80p just 14 sec call duration. (Call to [protected] Tata Docomo no.) This problem fill all Docomo users. Customer care say, "We would like to inform you that as per our records, we have found that currently you are in intra circle roaming and are connected to Tata Docomo network for Kolkata circle. As per TRAI rules paired circle roaming has been implemented and the same is effective from 09-Jul-2015; your tariff plans (SMS/Voice) would not work on paired circle roaming and you will be charged as per the base rate plan for paired circle roaming for all outgoing services from your number. However, the incoming SMS/calls would be free of cost. You will be charged as per the following plan: All Outgoing calls: Local at 80p/minute, STD at Rs.1.15/minute, All Incoming calls: Free. All SMS charges: Local at 25 paise, STD at 38 paise." But sir why TRAI rule divided between kolkata circle and west bengal circle. We have fill big problem when goes in roaming. But we not goes out of state. Same state but divide two circle. Please solved ours problem.

                                This is with reference to your concern regarding call charges for your Tata Docomo number. In this regards we regret the inconvenience caused to you due to this.

                                We would like to inform you that as per our records, we have found that currently you are in intra circle roaming and are connected to Tata Docomo network for Kolkata circle.

                                As per TRAI rules paired circle roaming has been implemented and the same is effective from 09-Jul-2015; your tariff plans (SMS/Voice) would not work on paired circle roaming and you will be charged as per the base rate plan for paired circle roaming for all outgoing services from your number.

                                However, the incoming SMS/calls would be free of cost.

                                You will be charged as per the following plan:

                                Example: If you are a Kolkata customer and roaming on Rest of Bengal (ROWB) then any SMS/Calls that you send back to Kolkata will be charged at local SMS/Calls rate of 25 p/SMS and calls at Local at 80p/minute, STD at Rs.1.15/minute.

                                This change is being made as per the TRAI directions and applicable to all Telecom service provider. As a responsible Telecom service provider while we are bound to follow the rules of the government. But at the same time we have ensured that our roaming rates are lowest among all service providers and thus give our customer the best value for money.

                                Hi Tata Docomo,

                                I agree that this change is as per TRAI changes, even I 'am facing the same problems of intra circle roaming charges.But you are not charging the lowest rates for roaming. The MAXIMUM CAP for local outgoing calls is 80 paise / min and Tata Docomo is charging no less than that, you are not charging the LOWEST among others.

                                It is really sad that I have to pay more for services which were already promised to be lowest.With such a move you are losing a lot of satisfied and potential customers.Even I'm switching to some other service provider of the intra circle as I have to travel in 2 cities frequently.

                                Really BAD move, didn't expected such abrupt policy changes.

                                  Dear Officer, I was using TATA photon and from past seven months I am not using the connection. I requested approximately six months back to your representative to disconnect the connection as I was not using. But he replied that after the due payment it will be automatically disconnected. But again I was getting bill for the connection which I was not using. Then suddenly I got a call the due amount is two thousand. Even after lot of discussion with your representative, he said sir I am helpless as the officer who promised you didn't not close your request. He again told to pay complete due payment and after that connection will be discontinued. I also did the payment for INR 2000 where I was not using the bill. Now also I am getting the SMS that my payment is due. This is simply harassing public. I got the connection just by believing TATA brand. Now due to this harassment I am disturbed a lot. It is unethical and the good name of TATA in our family got spoiled due to few of your employees. You have the facility to check when the below said connection was used last. From that you can understand the fact clearly. I hope somebody will take professional responsibility to close the connection from TATA by seeing this message. TATA Photon no. [protected].                                     Dear tata Docomo, Please check my bill amount. My mobile number is [protected]. In may mobil I have facility for check data usage. I check weakly basis. My data usage not more than 1 GB.But in your bill shows 5 GB. Please check the bill amount. Otherwise I will complaint in consumers form against your company.                                       i buy new sim tata docomo with mobile number [protected]...tower has came but calls are not both outgoing and incoming...its karnataka state sim...but nw i came to andhrapradesh for my personal work...when i called to others it coming like 0 should be added before number..i added 0 also but again the ivr voice is coming like add 0 like that...so pls solve this issue...tank you.

                                      I bought a Docomo Sim on 12/07/2015 from a shop by submitting all the document and paid 131, the shop keeper told it will get activated after two days when a call will come from docomo office to the given reference phone number. But till now there is no such call received. Please help me. I need it urgently. My New docomo sim number is [protected]

                                        Hi My name is Pradeep Rajan and I am using Tata DoCoMo number which is [protected]. I have been raising issue with Tata DoCoMo since last 6 months to send me my bill statement to my e-mail or residential address, till date they haven't sent me 1. I strongly believe that they are charging me more. they give me excuse saying that they have sent to my e-mail address. On top of that they disconnect all my outgoing calls. because of this I am facing serious issue. I believe once they see this blog they might send me the soft copy to my mailing address.
