My borther-in-law was using Bangalore Photon Wi-Fi data card connection([protected]). Since he went US for long term, I wanted to change the connection on to my name. When contacted Chennai – Velachery DoCoMo store, they said that connection can be transferred among blood relative. since I am not his blood relative, it cannot be done.
They asked me to disconnect the connection([protected]) and once device is released I can apply for new connection with the existing device. I disconnected the connection in the last week of January 2015. Device was released in mid of March 2015.
I had given all my ID and address proof to Velachery DoCoMo Store on 18th March 2015, and they had given me a new connection([protected]) and they said it will work. It was activated on 20th March 2015. When I tried to connect, it is giving me some error and couldn’t connect.
I called to customer care and raised a ticket for the connection Issue. Service engineer came and checked all and concluded that, ESN number is not matching, and that is reason for the error and asked me to visit DoCoMo store again.
Again I went to Store for this, they are telling they cannot do anything for this, System is giving “Invalid ESN Number”, when they are giving the ESN Number (A0000049BB3FFE) on the system and they were saying Only backend team can update the ESN Number.
When I raised a ticket for Backend team, they were saying Datacard was taken in karnataka and it can be activated in Tamilnadu. If that is the case why store people activated the connection and given the false promise and they wasted two and half months of my time. In fact store people provided some wrong ESN number for activating the connection and bypassed the error.
In this duration, I visited the store atleast 15 times, they never told karanataka dongle cannot be activated in Tamilnadu. Finally they are asking me to buy new dongle by paying 2000/-. If they tell this in january I should have saved my time.

Updated by kotibodla Dialy I am getting calls from diffrent persons from Docomo Customer care, every one is talking about the issue for at least 10mins. After explaining everything, they are simply dropping the calls without proper response for the issue. If they cannot solve the problem, Why people from customer care keep on calling everyday.
Even today I am got a call as response to this online complaint and said like we will resolve this issue by todat EOD. But I never heard anything after that.
