I had a photon Account No [protected] with Tata Docomo & had been facing problems with the photon connectivity since the month of Sept 2013 for which I made repeated no of calls & complaints to the Photon call centre, following which I even had a technician visit my home, every time I called up the Customer Service I got an assurance that it will be resolved however it was more than 2 months & there wasn't any resolution. The reason they gave me was that there wasn't a network tower nearby due to which there wasn't any connectivity. I fail to understand till today that Andheri (west) is one of the prominent suburbs in Mumbai, it is not as if I stay in Virar or ahead that there should be so called "connectivity" problem.
Despite all the chaos I went ahead & made a payment in Oct 2013 deducting an amount of INR 500 from the bill & making the payment for the remaining amount which the call centre waived off due to their problem, but I guess making the payment was in vain. I eventually gave a request for discontinuing my Tata Photon services in Nov 2013 & yet there was a bill sent to me for Nov. After being enough hassled with them through repeated calls(sometimes 9-10 times a day), the height of the situation was when their Executive landed at my doorstep on 1st Feb 2014 demanding the payment. I have elderly in laws staying with me who were highly disturbed since he came in unannounced & demanded to be paid immediately. I finally wrote them a mail on Feb 6, 2014 stating that I will not make a payment at all for the bill generated in Nov 2013.
I got a reply from their Service Excellence dept's Sarvoday Manchanda stating that he will call me & permanently resolve the issue, however the call never came & I too forgot about the issue. Today 1 "Joker" named Vinay Kumar from Advocate Ranvir Vats called me & started howling & shouting at me, asking me to make a payment of INR 1000 in the next half an hour failing which there will be a case filed in Delhi Court tomorrow, to which I gave a fitting reply on the phone. I work in the biggest Media house in India & it will not take much time to have it published in the Newspaper about Tata Indicomm's misdeeds & misbehaviour, priority being harassing my elderly in laws & threatening a lady over the phone. Infact I am going to go ahead & file a case against Tata Indicomm.
It is not about a meagre amount of 1000, it is about the trouble Tata Indicomm gave me that i am unwilling to make a payment & I don't think i ever will.
